i do not trust people who shop at shein i'm sorry like there's no excuse for it. i can understand amazon, i can understand a lot of fast fashion, but shein is uniquely awful. and their clothes fall apart in a week so you can't even keep them and mend them. "but i'm poor" okay and you don't need to buy from shein about it. "they sell shirts for $3" so does michael's check ur local craft store and make a design urself if u want. you cannot seriously tell me that you had no other option other than shein

everyone else might already know this but i just think it’s funny that canonically The Cage takes place in 2254, so over 10 years before the start of Kirks first 5 year mission as captain. while SNW takes place around 2258-2260

(with the reveal of Carol Marcus being pregnant it would make most sense for it to be 2259 seeing as TSFS takes place in 2285, which would make David Marcus 25 at the time that movie takes place)

anyways, then the beginning of TOS is in 2265, and here’s a visual representation of why i find that funny (using spock as an example because he’s my favorite)

Just out of curiosity since its my special interest; what kind of fashion styles would you say you wear/would like to wear? smile

ooo i feel like it's a mix of multiple styles! my friends irl either say that i dress emo or y2k style (i wear a lot of skirts over jeans, fun hats, leg warmers, lots of accessories and stuff...) my main style inspirations are stuff from fruits mag and random outfit pics from pinterest - i buy a lot of my clothes from chinese indie brands like cfierce, eyeelike, and double punch if that gives a good idea!

in short - in warmer months, my style is more harajuku/y2k/etc inspired - colorful oversized shirts, lots of hairclips, keychains, and accessories, cargo pants and shorts, etc!

and in colder months, more emo (according to my friends - i personally don't consider myself emo)/mori kei/twee??? idrk - dark patterned cardigans and sweaters, layered leg warmers, scarfs, hats (like ushankas and baker caps etc)!

if i could dress any other way, i would dress every way. i love all alternative fashion styles so much!!! i've loved alt fashion since i was a wannabe fairy kei 8 year old haha

do people not know how knitting machines work??? there is still a person there making it you freak. same with sewing machines like why do people hear ‘machine’ in the context of garment construction and just assume there’s no person involved?? is it easier for you to just assume clothes are made solely by automatons and by just not buying crochet you’re a morally correct person? yeah the machine makes it a bit easier and faster but can we please stop trying to discredit the fact that real people still are making your clothes, even if they’re not hand knit or hand sewn

no bc the tit tour outfit is so serious y’all nobody understands I am locking tf IN im not even meeting them but this is a once in a lifetime event and I will be serving a look if not for anything but my fellow phannies in attendance. i keep changing my mind I need more promo content to fully decide what the vibe is but in general I’m thinking black jeans obviously but like a cool straight leg pair, black boots, lots of silver accessories but the top needs to be gooood i was thinking either a statement jacket or like I saw this electric blue sweater in a store today that was so cool I kinda want to do something like that like a colour that goes with the scheme but maybe with a leather jacket or patterned shacket on top yk. also I’m not someone that gets my nails done super often but I literally have a Pinterest board of purple/blue/silver/chrome/iridescent/galaxy kind of nail inspo, im really fucking with the colour scheme so far I just need more of an idea but yeah still want to be comfy cute but also go all out purely for the fun and serve a styled look
