Finally I draw my Sonicsona in my favorite style

finally got around to finishing up my sonic oc's full ref sheet ...

this is mono the (harlequin) rabbit my mobster rabbit with gloves that let her control gravity. more info about her below!

mono is the oldest daughter (but overall middle child) of a powerful crime family that carved its place in the criminal underworld through arms dealing and modification. the family has ties to clutch from the IDW comics and he is mono's literal godfather. the two are rather close because he had to babysit her a few times since he owed her father. internally he justifies the fact he does care as a "she is a future business investment i can hold over her family" thing. now she works with him.

in my head during the IDW comics she's quietly in the background whenever clutch is relevant... she's just working in white park grand chateau. during the phantom riders arc she works as a ref for clean sweep... after the current arc she has nowhere to go since she's only really known a life of crime but she ends up trying to join the restoration and it is obviously difficult for her.

probably spends time with belle due having similar circumstances of "they would definitely have better lives if their loved ones weren't criminals."

personality wise mono is on the surface rather emotionless. she's seemingly cold and distant, not really talking much due to her upbringing... but she does care. she is just the type who's actions speak louder than words because she would rather not speak at all most days. again, it is clear she would have been a good person if not for her family upbringing. she has a good head on her shoulders, just unfortunate circumstances. she only really shows small bits of emotion here and there.

the one thing that does make mono show emotion though is fighting and sparring. it is the one thing she does where she can truly feel equal with people. though with that said, the sudden intensity compared to her usual demeanor comes off as more creepy than endearing to most restoration members.

she desperately wants to befriend the diamond cutters, specifically whisper as she sees a lot of herself in her. whisper does not trust her much after the events of the phantom rider arc and her working with mimic for a bit, but tangle still tries to befriend mono and help her get closer to whisper.

mono claims to be looking for a missing friend herself but keeps details about it vague.

IT WAS THE BEST DAY EVER

So my partner and I created some fan-parents for Sonic. He has a dad and a parent. Sonic was created lab-baby style and thus some dormant genetics regarding his brighter color and eyes came through. He was also born with female characteristics. They were not expecting him to have super-speed either as neither of them possess such abilities.

More under the cut.

His father, Dwight, has lightning powers that he will later display and unlock via Frontiers. Ja’ni, his parent, can control and create ether which is the substance through which all life and matter exist and it comes through as star and space-like abilities which lends to Sonic’s future fascination with stars, space, and similar.

Dwight has always been a very cutthroat man, ever since his parents were murdered by GUN-like wannabes for simply being super-powered Mobians- something that the humans never were fond of.

However, his resentment and rage goes unchecked and starts to bleed into how he intends to raise Sonic. He reveals plans to Ja’ni about growing the child into being a sort of super-soldier and leading a resistance against the humans. He wishes for Sonic to be his legacy and to assist him in carrying out his plans to wipe humanity off the face of Mobius and take back their planet. He wants to protect Sonic and his family.

Ja’ni only wishes for Sonic to be a kid and not have to worry about starting a war that he never chose to be a part of. After trying to change Dwight’s mind and failing countless of times, Ja’ni makes a difficult decision.

In the dead of night, Ja’ni ends up stealing Sonic away, traveling across several dimensions, and surrendering him to a group of owls, one of which is Longclaw, to be raised into a happy life away from the hardships and conditioning he would have faced. In this dimension, Longclaw is not killed.

Ja’ni sticks around in the dimension, but takes care to never interfere with Sonic’s life, only keeping tabs on him to make sure he’s… alive. And Sonic seems all the better for it. He’s made a lot of friends, is a world-renowned hero, plus, he’s trans, so that’s cool! Good for him!

But there may come a day where they are all reunited. Especially, when a certain father discovers the dimension where his son has been taken to. However, things are not quite as they were before and that has its own unique challenges.

Back from the Shadow Realm ( A Long Awaited Update)

Good evening to one and all!! Welcome to the first ever Fur & Fun Friday! So in case it weren't already apparent my account recently got banished to the shadow realm as of a result of handing out invites for a Secret Santa I've been helping @head---ache out with ever since offering to help run the project back in December and wound up deactivating as a result because I didn't feel like dealing with Tumblr staff and felt it would be easier to start from scratch again so I could kick off the new page with a long awaited update regarding the future of my work. Hopefully this doesn't happen again so I don't have worry about my content gaining zero traction nor go through the hassle of creating a new account for the up tenth time, ah anxiety ye heartless bitch, but if it does then I'll be sure to get off me ass and bug the help desk next time around.

With that being said the short of it is that ya'll probably won't be seeing any art from me for awhile starting Pride Month at the very latest depending on whether or not I can get some smaller projects such as updating my Dragon, Sonic, and never before seen Poke sona's designs done and out of the way before then. Why? Well for whatever reason, whether it be the insomnia that has plagued me since senior year of highschool or the mental health issues I've unfortunately have had to deal with over the years as a result of unwanted drama, some of which was admittedly on me and too anyone who may have been caught in the crossfire at the time it all happened truly from the bottom of my heart I'm sorry if I said or did anything to hurt you and hope that wherever you are that you're living your best life regardless of whether or not you decide to forgive me for my past actions or not and hey even if you don't than that's ok too, it's no skin off my back, or even certain events from my past that have come back to haunt me with a vengeance over the years, something I've only recently come to terms with thanks some personal growth on my end that has allowed me to feel the happiest I've felt in awhile even if I don't have a lot going for me right now, for the past few years now I've had some kind of weird creative burn out that has made it difficult for me to sit down and draw as much as I used to which in turn has caused a severe decline in content on my end. As a result as soon as I complete my previously fore mentioned projects I shall here by be going on an indefinite hiatus so I may use the time to create a content buffer and get back in the swing of things. Once I do I'll be sure to set up a new side blog to share my work on a semi regular basis again and hopefully when I do I can start bringing in some income in the form of merch as well as potential adopts so if you'd be interested in receiving some prints and/or characters from me then be sure to be on look out for that as well as a couple of secret projects I'm hoping to start production for in the coming months hue hue 😉 Until then however you can at the very least expect to start seeing some written martial from me throughout the course of this year starting with my contribution for Kat's Secret Santa event come Valentines Day so be sure to keep an eye on my Rainburst Studios tag in the near future and be sure to follow me on my new A03 for updates! redid 2 sonic ocs and slapped them in the sol dimension cuz it just made more sense!!! while blaze is the guardian of the sol emeralds, deep underwater ula is the guardian of the pearl in her kingdom! i imagine a lot of deep sea creatures reside there, and ula isn’t one to travel to the surface alone without protection!

iluka is someone who started out at a threatening pirate always hunting for the next rare item to add to their collection but turned into a huge softie when it came to taking care of ula, if ula is at the surface then iluka is there as her guardian

honestly wanna expand on these two more as well as their dynamic with blaze bc the sol dimension feels so empty in canon when there’s so many ideas that could be thrown around there….i will save you
