Hope ya’ll slept well because I would like to kick off the day by offering a special proposal. (Please be sure to read below the cut and be sure to reblog, like, comment, vote, and subscribe if you'd be interested!)

So as some of ya’ll may be aware A03’s annual year in review for their top 100 ships recently dropped and how thanks to the recent release of the third Sonic Movie Sonadow has finally made it into the top 100 by ranking the 82nd spot on the list! Well this got me wondering, what if we were able to get enough people from the Sonic Community to band together to write enough fanfiction to boost Sonadow into the #1 spot come 2026?

That’s right baby! I Rayne would personally like to a host a special Sonadow themed Summer/Winter event to see if we can try to accomplish that very goal for the mere fun of it! So with that being said if there’s enough interest come Valentine’s Day weekend I will personally set up a blog to host the event towards the end of the month, set up mod applications come March, drop sign ups in April, and then May through July participants could use the time to write as much Sonadow themed material to post on A03 throughout the course of August before transitioning into the prepping period for Round 2 come December!

okay is she being actually immature or is it just a woman over 30 expressing a human experience you find to be immature.

like yeah. at certain ages... let shit go. im not defending the real immature shit. im not defending the karen you're picturing. i worked in retail i hate those people too. (once somebody got mad at me because she didn't like how our winter window decor was a snowman smoking a pipe. i wish i was joking).

but men at 57 will write books about how 17 year old girls are soooo sexy. they will invent worlds where women have to be naked for "armor reasons." they will write songs that treat women as objects. people rush to defend them. meanwhile a woman at 35 will be like "heartbreak is hard, actually" or "i feel betrayed by a friend" or "i am struggling with something emotionally." immediately people will say stuff like this woman is 35 by the way. by the way this woman is SO OLD to be experiencing this. BY THE WAY.

im 31, almost 32. the other day a poet was blasted online because at her "big age", she had written a poem about feeling unloved. top comment was "this woman is 29 by the way." this woman is too old to still be useful, by the way. she has to behave better . maybe if she was a good wife and mother she could stop existing loudly, and the story could continue on without her. this woman has served her purpose, by the way. she's so cringe, by the way. at 29 - so old! - she still hasn't figured out that her existence should be one of shame.

Back from the Shadow Realm ( A Long Awaited Update)

Good evening to one and all!! Welcome to the first ever Fur & Fun Friday! So in case it weren't already apparent my account recently got banished to the shadow realm as of a result of handing out invites for a Secret Santa I've been helping @head---ache out with ever since offering to help run the project back in December and wound up deactivating as a result because I didn't feel like dealing with Tumblr staff and felt it would be easier to start from scratch again so I could kick off the new page with a long awaited update regarding the future of my work. Hopefully this doesn't happen again so I don't have worry about my content gaining zero traction nor go through the hassle of creating a new account for the up tenth time, ah anxiety ye heartless bitch, but if it does then I'll be sure to get off me ass and bug the help desk next time around.

With that being said the short of it is that ya'll probably won't be seeing any art from me for awhile starting Pride Month at the very latest depending on whether or not I can get some smaller projects such as updating my Dragon, Sonic, and never before seen Poke sona's designs done and out of the way before then. Why? Well for whatever reason, whether it be the insomnia that has plagued me since senior year of highschool or the mental health issues I've unfortunately have had to deal with over the years as a result of unwanted drama, some of which was admittedly on me and too anyone who may have been caught in the crossfire at the time it all happened truly from the bottom of my heart I'm sorry if I said or did anything to hurt you and hope that wherever you are that you're living your best life regardless of whether or not you decide to forgive me for my past actions or not and hey even if you don't than that's ok too, it's no skin off my back, or even certain events from my past that have come back to haunt me with a vengeance over the years, something I've only recently come to terms with thanks some personal growth on my end that has allowed me to feel the happiest I've felt in awhile even if I don't have a lot going for me right now, for the past few years now I've had some kind of weird creative burn out that has made it difficult for me to sit down and draw as much as I used to which in turn has caused a severe decline in content on my end. As a result as soon as I complete my previously fore mentioned projects I shall here by be going on an indefinite hiatus so I may use the time to create a content buffer and get back in the swing of things. Once I do I'll be sure to set up a new side blog to share my work on a semi regular basis again and hopefully when I do I can start bringing in some income in the form of merch as well as potential adopts so if you'd be interested in receiving some prints and/or characters from me then be sure to be on look out for that as well as a couple of secret projects I'm hoping to start production for in the coming months hue hue 😉 Until then however you can at the very least expect to start seeing some written martial from me throughout the course of this year starting with my contribution for Kat's Secret Santa event come Valentines Day so be sure to keep an eye on my Rainburst Studios tag in the near future and be sure to follow me on my new A03 for updates! (Just a heads up that I'll be changing my user back to Spiritofrainbursts on there come Wednesday as I changed my mind last minute lol Also I lied you'll technically be seeing a fic from me before Valentines Day even if it's a reupload of an older one shot I never got a chance to finish, and never will or at least as is, for archival purposes.)

Yes, he does.

Everything's pretty much the same when it comes to the regular story in this AU. It's just the past, especifically Papyrus' past (wich we don't know much about to begin with) that changes

Actually Flowey is one of the main characters in the story! (the main story of this au is divided between the past before the game and a post-pacifist timeline:D)

He and Papyrus will have a fun dynamic

Thanks so much again for taking the time to write this wholesome fanfic based off of my prior responses about the flower boy last year! ☺️ Will definitely be using this as a basis for his character when I can get around to creating a very special masterpost for him, reanswering all previous questions that have been lost to the void. 😉

THE LANGUAGE OF FLOWERS

Pairing. Castor Niclaw x reader (+special cameo)

Content. fem!reader, castor is a sweet boy, fluff, missunderstanding (because lack of communication), crack.

A/N. this is the first work I make for a oc's of the sonic fankid showdown!! I'll be making more of these bcs i'm such a fan of a lot of kids!! soooo hope you enjoy this one !!

It’s been a couple of days since the last time Castor spoke to her. Nerves soon began to eat her up, and she didn’t even know what happened for him to put that kind of distance between the two of them. Mumbling to herself about the possibilities, she couldn’t think of what could be wrong.

“Why don’t you just ask him?” Mav, her friend, asked her.

“It’s not that simple!” She complained, rubbing her eyes. “What if he doesn’t want to see me at all? It’ll make things worse!”

“Or, it can clear things up… Come on!”

“No. I’ll try to get information without him knowing and you’ll help me!” the girl said pointing a finger at his face. Mav sighed and rolled his eyes; he couldn’t help but comply at her friends’ antics.

Days passed, both of them following Castor around secretly, spying on him around the island, but there was no information, just him living a normal life like everyone else.

“I told you, you won’t get anything unless you talk to him.” Mav said as he lay on the couch of his friend’s house, stretching his limbs up.

“I don’t know…” she replied sitting cross legged on the carpeted floor, in front of the couch.

Mav looked at his friend and clicked his tongue. “Alright, I’ll help.” He said, moving to lay on his side. A hand beneath his chin. “What was the last time you guys spoke?”

“I don’t know, maybe… Like a week…” The girl replied, defeated.

“Okay, and what happened that day?”

Recalling, the girl started to narrate their encounter: what they talked about, the jokes they both cracked, the laughs, but she was soon stopped by Mav’s interjecting fast, sitting abruptly on the couch.

“Wait, what did you just said?”

“He was talking about the golden flowers he could materialize from his thoughts?”

“And you said…”

“That I had a gift for him!”

“Which was?”

“A… Bouquet of white ivies?”

Mav opened his eyes, too stunned to speak. “Now why would you give flowers to a guy? Do you like him?”

“No!” the girl replied quickly. “I mean, not in that way! We’re just friends! I wanted to give him something he’d like, as I know he likes the language of flowers.”

Both of them kept quiet for a second. “What does giving ivies mean?”

The girl smiled. “Oh, I read on an article that they meant an everlasting friendship…”

It was weird then. The flowers meant no harm. Then what was it?

“You know what? You’re right, I didn’t do anything wrong!” Mav’s friend said as she got up and walked to the door. “I’ll ask him once and for all what’s happening and why he isn’t talking to me.” She said decisively as she went outside, quickly heading to the place Castor usually went: the library.

Quickly getting to the place, she entered. It was almost empty, just a few people, but Castor was on a corner, far away from everyone. As she walked up to him, she sat on the unoccupied chair of his table, his attention suddenly disturbed by the presence of the girl. He frowned, a grimace on his face. A forced teethy smile on his lips.

“Heeey.” He said closing the book he was reading.

“We need to talk,” The girl said, her voice low so she wouldn’t disturb the other people.

“Do we really?” he asked putting the book away, resisting the urge to leave.

She groaned. “Castor, what is going on? Why aren’t you talking to me? Is it about the flowers?” A whispered yell was heard in the hall, but nobody seemed to care.

Castor looked at her, then looked around and his eyes fell on her again. Inhaling sharply, he got closer to her, his elbows on the table as he leaned closer.

“Look, I don’t mean to be rude, but I’m not interested in… Anything regarding of a partner and all that, you’re my friend! And… I don’t know…”

“What are you talking about?” she interrupted, a confused expression crossing on her face.

Castor cleared his throat and replied.

“About the marriage proposal.”

Marriage proposal?!

“What? What marriage proposal?” the girl’s voice suddenly grew higher.

“With the flowers!” he said, his voice getting a little higher involuntarily. “I didn’t know you saw me like that but I thought you knew I’m not… Into that…”

“Castor what… Hold on…” the girl put a hand up so he could stop talking for a moment. “What does the white ivies mean?” she asked covering her lips with her fist.

The lilac hedgehog raised an eyebrow, didn’t she know that?

“It’s a flower presented to the bride and groom as symbols of everlasting life, devotion, fidelity and loyalty. The Greeks also used it to make a crown for Liber, the God of Fertility, as well as poets and other muses.” He explained with a weird tone, like he was explaining the most obvious thing to her.

But he noticed it wasn’t that obvious when the girl turned absolutely red and licked her lips nervously. She didn’t know where to look, the space in the whole library suddenly wasn’t enough for her to take a good breath.

“You’re telling me I gave you… Marriage flowers?”

Castor nodded.

“I thought they meant an everlasting friendship…” She said finally, with a weak voice as she covered her face with her hands.

And then it was silent.

“Friendship? Where did you read that?”

Still covering her face, she replied: “Google.”

A low laugh could be heard from the other side of the table, soon turning loud. A quick shush from another person on the library made Castor stop laughing.

“My friend, you should know better than to trust Google.” He spoke. With a deep sigh, he stretched on the chair and stood up. The girl looked at him in between her fingers. “Well, seems to me like everything goes back to normal. What do you think?” He said, putting one of his hands on her shoulder. Slowly, she raised from her seat, still warm in the face from embarrassment.

“I’ll need you to educate me more on that flowery language you like so I don’t mess up next time.”

He smiled. Walking out of the library, they noticed the sun was almost setting. Castor looked at his friend, stretching out his hand behind her ear, he caught a bouquet of pink tulips, handing them over so she could grab them. She knew he just summoned those flowers because of the faint purple glow it had and she found it perfect.

Picking one of the tulips, she gave it to him.

Castor looked intently at the flower and raised it in the air, towards the setting sun. “I wish for us to have a good friendship forever.” Like a wish, holding the tulip, he then blew on the soft petals, the flower soon turning into a dandelion, its fluff flowing through the air as a promise for eternity.

**Pink tulips are known for meaning affection, caring, good wishes, and love. Although not as deep or passionate love as red tulips represent. Pink tulips are great to send to friends and family members to show them you care.
