ok gumy, i actually would like some more elaboration in this moon big season such as:
The cults, what the fuck is up with that?
something, something bdubs’ last stand as the moon crash down on him (bc almost every king tag in the last 101 mentioned that and my ears are perked up)
the graphic of the moon crashing into world looks so pretty where we’re you when this happened đŸŽ€ ?
hehehe you’ve fallen into my trap >:D
THE CULTS:
there were at least two cults formed in response to the moon big: the Mooners and the Order of Octa.
the Mooners cult was formed by mumbo jumbo at the end of november. mumbo believed that the moon was angry because hermits kept sleeping to skip through the night, so he gathered the other members of boatem village (impulse, pearl, scar, and grian), and they and cubfan135 all decided to stop sleeping in hopes of appeasing the moon.
as they went longer and longer without sleeping, the mooners got a little. silly. and by silly i do mean insane. their skins got more disheveled, eventually turning out to look like this
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(in order: grian, mumbo, scar, impulse, cub, and pearl. i know you aren’t v familiar with these guys and what they normally look like, but i think you can get the picture)
the mooners even resorted to human sacrifice to try and appease the moon, but nothing worked. eventually they gave up, tried (and failed) to blow up the moon with a missile, and started sleeping again.
the other cult i don’t remember as much about. the Order of Octa, comprised of rendog and docm77, had been doing an ARG all season, which culminated in them getting a little bit possessed, shaving their heads into monk tonsures, and going around beheading people while chanting their names. for their finale, they gathered all the heads together and input a code? i think? that opened up a portal out of the simulation that was season 8 (note: the season being a simulation is only canon in ren and doc’s storyline)
BDUBS’ STORY:
okay yeah this one’s pretty tragic. for bdubs’ finale, he rides his horse around the server, collects the profits from his shops, business as usual. except the moon is giant, the ground is basically disintegrating underneath him, and for the large majority of his episode there’s just nobody there. he doesn’t seem afraid of the moon or the chaos at all, instead spending the whole time talking about how everyone’s leaving, so that means that really, all this stuff is his now! how fortunate for him!
all his friends are already gone. his only companions at this point are his horse and his pet parrot. he does his usual outro, saying goodbye to his audience and telling us he’ll see us in the next episode! and then he turns around, and the animation of the moon crashing into the server plays- it is clear from the animation that he could not have survived the impact.
that on its own is sad, but what kicks it into high gear is tango’s finale. in tango’s final episode of season 8, he’s on the moon trying to figure out a way to knock it back into its usual orbit, and he receives a transmission from bdubs. this message shows bdubs a couple days pre-impact, and he is panicked, yelling about how everything’s going to shit (static cuts off the “shit” part bc this is a pg server) and everything they’ve built is about to be destroyed. as he finishes the message, he urges tango to stay in space, because things are so bad on the ground, and talks about trying to find a way to escape.
in this context, the general consensus/implication of bdubs episode is that he tried to find a way to escape the falling moon, failed, and decided to live out the rest of his hours in total denial before dying in a massive fucking explosion. which is significantly more tragic.
WHERE WAS I WHEN THIS HAPPENED?
in the kitchen. i remember being super excited for new episodes, and then got gut-punched by nearly every hermit i watched uploading their finale at the same time.

I looked at the reddit. "I only watch Mumbo/Scar/Grian and I think the seasons are getting stale and samey". 10d10 Psychic damage.
Skill issue honestly.
There are so many POVs to watch if you get tired of one POV. You don't have to stick to someone out of obligation; feel free to stop watching / take a break if it doesn't interest you. People change over time. There are so many hermits and so many different styles. It's okay to bounce around. Be free. That is what I did. It's not an insult to the hermit or their content; sometimes it just happens. (But don't go bitching about in their comments.)
I think the clout trio is genuinely hilarious and they have great chemistry (I was there for HC7 Hobbit starter bases!), but I also saw Boatem 2.0 coming from a MILE away (and once we learned the new hermits I KNEW it was going to happen). I was like, yeah, this season hasn't even started and I know what's going to be the fandom focus. I can see it now. (And the skewing somehow more extreme than I expected.)
I think Iskall would be a great watch for tired clout trio fans. Iskall's mantra this season is "keeping it real" and he's been doing a lot of awesome and entertaining collabs with a huge variety of people. I love putting Vodskall vids on and listen to the hermits banter. Iskall's on to spend time with his friends, and after his burnout from previous seasons, I'm so happy to see him thriving.
Anyways I think we are so getting Boatem 2.0 and the subsequent Boatemification. I can only hope the "neighbourhood" shapes up to become a fair competitor fanon-wise (this won't happen) (I'm once again delusional) (actually it's probably better if Boatemification doesn't happen). Ren's Minister stuff is shaping up to King Ren arc 2.0 minus Bdubs, which one could argue it's stale and samey, but he has been connecting a group of hermits and giving them stuff to do, while he simultaneously props himself up as a potential villain (once again). I could talk more about how Ren's storytelling skills shine in a big group, but yeah. At least we're getting proper infrastructure đŸ”„ I love roads đŸ”„

ohhhh ty!!!!
1. when and how did you get into hermitcraft?
as I mentioned briefly in one of the other asks, in April (I think) of last year, I was casually scrolling through my feed and found beef propaganda from cassberry (who I will not tag again)! I knew beef vaguely from other minecraft things and wanted a new SpIn, so after chatting with cass for a bit, I decided to give it a go! and loved it pretty much instantly. I'd been seeing dsmp stuff on my dash for ages and though it seemed kind of interesting, it was also way too angsty for me, so hermitcraft was perfect really cause it's just so chill and friendly.
5. favourite duo, trio or group?
oh, you know it has to be team ZIT(S). nothing makes me happier than seeing those boys hanging out and being friends; every time I see them appear in each other's videos, I get all flappy. though I will say - I know they're not exclusively hc but they are adjacent - team canada holds such a special place in my heart. you would not believe how excited I got when I saw that first starblight desert episode come out. oh! and soup group. can't forget soup group. and boatem. okay look there's lots of very good groups djgdjk.
17. have any episodes you constantly go back to? which ones?
zed's season 7, especially the first episode! I've restarted that season like 3 or 4 times now, though I still haven't finished it. it's just so chill and fun and I love zed's brand of humor so much. I've also actually frequently rewatched gems first episode for season 9. she did such a great job with it, plus the friendship between her and impulse was part of what made me love hermitcraft so much.
also here are some cheaty answers, because they're either not a video or not totally hermitcraft.
I have rewatched naked and scared season 23, episode 5 like. several times. that bit with the endermen and the yelling and the 'THERE IS NO TOMORROW, THERE IS ONLY RIGHT NOW' and 'dippledop! you are the liability this season!' is just so funny to me. that whole season is impeccable
I will also say, the decked out 1 testing streams with zed and tango are absolutely on loop for me. and I could spend like an entire day just watching JITS phasmo streams (which is partially to do with how much I love phasmo, but yk jdgdk)

20) The Moon
Tumblr media
"Hey Grian, Mumbo?" Y/n asked, catching their attention "Does the moon seem... Bigger to you?"
"huh- No?" Grian said and squinted at the moon
"Maybe?" Mumbo muttered, "Has it always looked this close?"
"I don't think so," Y/n said "Does no one pay attention to the moon?"
"I don't," Grian shrugged "I'm spending a lot of time in the alley trying to finish it off."
"Same with me," Mumbo said before he paused and went "Except, not the alley. I'm working on my mountain."
"Oh you mean the chair?" Y/n asked and tilted their head while Grian laughed
"I thought it looked like an among us character when he laid down the red line to mark out his build." He said wings flapping with joy
"Oh yeah laugh at my build," Mumbo rolled his eyes "At least I didn't go for a Percy Jackson or harry potter type of build."
"HEY!" Grian and Y/n exclaimed at the same time and looked at each other for a glace before simultaneously agreeing
"GET HIM!" Grian exclaimed playfully and mumbo turned around so fast before flying away
Grian and Mumbo's laughs echoed through the air and Y/n felt their heart swell.
Had they really been so lucky as to gain the affections of not one but all of the people closest to them?
Did they deserve it?
Even if they didn't, Y/n would do everything in their power to show them the love they wished they were shown.
For now, however, they had to catch a pesky Mumbo who made fun of their builds. A large grin spread on their face as they joined Grian in the chase as Mumbo screeched out. At first, their chase just circled around Boatem but soon Mumbo moved on to Ren and Doc's base and then around the entire island. It was fun. Laughing and teasing and chasing each other when the blame got switched. It drew Y/n away from their thoughts of not being enough. of not really thinking that they deserved them. It reminded them that they fell in love wth not just a single person that didn't value them, but multiple people who adored every breath they took and worshipped the ground they walked on.
and oh...
it felt so glorious to be loved endlessly by their friends... by their significant others.
When they caught Mumbo, it was nearing daybreak soon so the trio decided to head home and away from big eye inc. They ended up heading home and went to work on their bases while Y/n went to her home to sleep the night away.
When Y/n strode up they had no idea what to expect when Pearl asked her to come over the next night but they certainly didn't expect to see Pearl with blankets in her arms and a picnic basket hooked onto their elbow.
"I thought you said you needed help?" Y/n asked softly and took the blankets from her arms
"Well, no." Pearl said "That was a lie. I just wanted you to myself for a bit."
"All you had to do was ask Dewdrop," Y/n bumped their shoulder into Pearl's "What's all this for then?"
Y/n lifted their arms a bit to show off the covers and pillows and Pearl grinned
"That, My Love, is so we can go star gazing." Pearl said and jutted their hand towards Y/n, palm up, an offering "Stuff them in your inventory and Let me lead you to a place of wonder."
My Love
goodness the fact that those words made Y/n want to melt was probably really bad but they couldn't help the goofy smile that spread across their face as their hand gently touched Pearl's
"Sweep me off of my feet," Y/n murmured and that she did
Pearl wrapped an arm around Y/n's waist and pulled them close. Y/n laughed as Pearl fumbled with their rockets before taking off with the both of them, their giggles and laughs echoing through the air as Pearl flew them to the place she found.
It was beautiful. It was on a cliff a few thousand feet from Boatem but it was covered in grassy fields and flowers and bits of freshly fallen snow with the stars shining brightly above and The moon looking a bit bigger than usual
"It's beautiful," Y/n trailed off, their voice barely above a whisper as their hands went to pull out the blankets
"I know it's not much for a first date, if your even okay calling it that but-" Pearl started
"Wait first date?!" Y/n exclaimed, "had I known I would have dressed up better!"
Pearl's laugh snapped Y/n out of their would-be rambling and she gripped their hands gently, grounding Y/n before they could even float off.
"I know," Pearl said and with a soft smile, they continued, "That's Why I didn't tell you. I want you to be you around me. I fell for everything you are and who you stand for. I want you to be wholly and exceptionally you. I don't want a dressed-up fancy version of you so you can paint a picture in my eyes. You already have, and I'm in love with it. I'm in love with you."
Y/n couldn't remember the last time someone was truly in love with her. It felt nice, it felt like she was truly wanted, it felt... terrifying.
"What if I'm not enough?" They asked softly only for Pearl to cup their face and mutter
"You will always be enough for us and nothing could ever change that." Soft kisses were pressed to Y/n's face from their forehead to their chin all avoiding one spot
their lips
Y/n knew there could be no way to thank pearl for attempting to take it slow so Y/n was comfortable. Not a lot of people were willing to do that for someone they were interested in. The fact that they were so patient and accepting and they haven't acted like anything had changed made Y/n feel at ease. Nothing and everything was the same.
Chills went through Y/n's body as pearl pressed her forehead to Y/n's
"Nothing will change on how we look and feel about you." Her calloused hands held Y/n's and brought them up to her lips and pressed a gentle kiss "I can promise you that. We are all so very deeply in love with you, more than you can even begin to imagine. Even if you don't believe this now, even if you don't ever believe this, we will continue to love you. We will never stop loving you, My darling Sunshine."
Y/n wanted to cry. Pearl's words washed every single bit of doubt that was left in their mind. One of Pearl's hands went to cup Y/n's face and They couldn't help but nuzzle their face into her hand.
"Thank you, Dewdrop," Y/n whispered and pulled both her hands from Pearl and caressed their face "You have no idea how much that calms me. I might clam up if I think I mess up but just knowing you and the guys don't hate me for anything I've done- It... It helps a lot. More than you can even know."
"Now, Cheer up baby," Pearl said and pressed a kiss to Y/n's nose "I planned a date for us to be happy and because I love your gorgeous face soooo much!"
"You flatter me," Y/n covered their face with their hands as Pearl grabbed their shoulder and dragged them to the blanket so they could sit down and quietly talk
The moon shone brightly over the two, illuminating their smiles and reflecting the stars in their eyes as they looked like they painted the Galaxy by hand. And to Pearl, maybe Y/n did.
But to Y/n, Pearl was a moth with a silver tongue. Someone who was able to calm fried nerves with a simple word. Y/n would have been terrified of it honestly
but with Pearl, they couldn't help but allow her to do anything she wanted because they trusted her with their life
and that terrified Y/n even more because the last time they did that they ended up in a war and cheated on
but she wasn't him
Y/n knew that
So maybe it was time to let go of the past and allow themselves to heal
It wasn't their fault that their boyfriend was an asshole who didn't love them.
Y/n knew it was time for change and for the first time in years, they glowed at the idea of letting go of all the guilt, hurt and overall hatred of their past.
It was time for a new phase of their life.
one where they could trust their friends and partners around them.

‧₊ ASYMPTOTIC
PAIRING: C!Xisumavoid x GN!Reader
SYNOPSIS: Headcanons for if a certain admin has been pining after you from afar, but you’re completely oblivious- that is, until you get a ‘secret admirer’.
WARNINGS: None!
A/N: Is the title to this a reference to this song by Louie Zong? Yes. Do I feel any shame? No. Anyways, this last meal before the Christmas stuff drops is brought to you by our favorite anon- Crown!
Tumblr media
Let me preface all this with the fact that Xisuma is not good at feelings.
Ever since he had become the admin of Hermitcraft, he was constantly busy, leaping from project to project as he worked to singlehandedly manage a server as large as it was. I mean, Mumbo and Iskall’s Redstone crimes alone were enough to give him grey hairs.
It wasn’t that Xisuma was adverse to love or relationships- no, he consistently put his friends’ heath and well-being above his own. It was just that, well, since he didn’t have time to sleep more often than not, it would be difficult for him to develop a crush.
Which sucks for him, because the second he laid eyes on you, our man was doomed.
The entire server probably realizes that you’ve caught the resident admin’s fancy long before you or he does- shooting each other sly glances as the helmeted man spends a little too long staring in your direction.
It probably takes one of the hermits literally beating him over the head with the fact for him to realize it, and for the next few days he can hardly look at you without blushing straight to the tips of his ears.
I mean- cut the man some slack! He’s feelin new things, okay đŸ„șđŸ„șđŸ„ș
Naturally, you are completely oblivious to this man’s affections for you, writing off his suddenly awkward behavior as a symptom of his sleep deprivation, or maybe anxiety as the server prepared for the newest update to roll around.
Whatever it was, you made a point to treat the admin the same as you always did, greeting him with a cheery smile and a wave every time you crossed paths in Boatem village, walking to and from the shops they had set up.
“Hey, ‘Suma!”
“O-oh, hi! Er- everything alright?”
“Just peachy! You?”
“Fine- great, even! Totally not dying inside or anything-”
“What?”
“Hm?”
It’s only a matter of time before you notice the notes.
Just little things, comments on your base or compliments on your attire that you find tucked into your shulker boxes, or slipped under your door.
‘I liked the deepslate you used for texturing here. Sometimes it catches me off guard how talented you are at building.’
‘I thought that prank you pulled on Iskall the other day was funny.’
‘You looked really nice today. Every day, actually- but not meant in a creepy way though. That just sounded more creepy. Okay, I’m just going to stop this right here before I embarrass myself any further.’
At first, you’re confused- there was no reason for the other hermits to secretively try and contact you. You’re more than used to them just stating their opinions to you aloud, so what reason would they have to remain anonymous?
If you’re being honest, you kind of thought it might be a prank.
That is, until one of them is finally addressed ‘from your secret admirer’.
Prime above, the burning in your face when you read that was enough to rival the sun.
Suddenly, all of the things that they had written down made a whole lot more sense when you added the romantic context to it.
Meanwhile, Xisuma is just doing his best. Like, the man has a mini-heart attack every time he writes one of those notes, and he’s basically having a mental breakdown over the last one.
Poor boy :(((
You find yourself falling for whoever is leaving you such sweet things, a giddy grin spreading across your face whenever you find the newest one. When Xisuma starts to give you little gifts- emeralds, some flowers, maybe even a stack of materials you need for your newest project- you can’t help but brag to your friends, oblivious to the way they roll their eyes at you fondly behind your back.
The both of you can be so, so dumb sometimes.
Xisuma indulges your ramblings about the latest gift or note you received, thanking the gods that he had the presence of mind to wear his helmet around you because of the deep flush overtaking his face.
Maybe one day he can finally work up the guts to confess to you- but for now, he’s content to love you from afar.

đŸ« for scar, 💝 for grian,🧾 for mumbo, and đŸ˜¶ because you deserve to rant about obscure random stuff <33 is that too much- ARE YOU ENTERTAINED
-🍂autumn anon🍂
So I'm answering all of these as being from Midnight, of course, so <3
You Unleashed me btw. Long post!
đŸ« A headcanon about food for Scar!
Scar is Fae, and on top of that he's a royal. He definitely has a taste for finer foods; Fae food is naturally savory, and often sweet (though sour and bitter foods are also possible to make), and Scar's cooking reflects this. But of course- be careful when accepting food from him, or any other Fae! As he said in Midnight Strolls, things of Fae are meant to be... naturally alluring and tempting, and if made with the right intent, can be addictive and you might find yourself trapped by the Fae who gave you the food's whim :)
💝 A headcanon about their love language for Grian!
Grian is absolutely a physical touch love language type person- casual but intimate touches, hand holding, kisses, hugs, cuddling, randomly draping himself across his partners, wrapping them up in his wings... however, he also has a touch of gift-giving too! Although he doesn't too often get his partners gifts, when he does it means a lot to him. Often the things he'll gift will be extremely personal to him (his feathers, for example) and have great meaning (for example, the pendant he gave Mumbo is a symbol for "forever," through the gifting of his feathers <3) so! Mostly physical touch mixed with gift giving <3 Important to note- he likes to give gifts but he doesn't really like to receive them!
🧾 A headcanon about their childhood for Mumbo!
Mumbo was, unsurprisingly, the de facto leader of his and his friends' little group, not because he was confident or even best for the job but simply because he was the oldest of them and, well, obviously the one with the highest status, the others literally being the children of his house's servants. They were well known around Boatem for running around and being children, and though Mumbo's parents were not looked at with very high regard, the people adored Mumbo for being down to Earth and eager to learn. Mumbo learned redstone from one of the local scientists of Boatem, and when his friends had chores to do and he had no more lessons he would go spend time with them and learn even more. He valued this time just as highly as he valued time with his friends! This of course ended after the uprising that he ended up caught in the middle of, but he continued to send letters to the scientist and learned from them that way.
đŸ˜¶ A random headcanon for Midnight in general yay!!
haha thank you for giving me a chance to ramble about some of my world building that I won't get to talk about in-story!! I mean some of it WILL be discussed eventually BUT. Not in depth, so- The world of Midnight is of course divided into continents and also different realms. On the continent our lovely trio live on you have Hermetia to the northeast, Essem to the west, L'Manberg (a very tiny landlocked country) within Essem, and a certain Empire of animal-human Hybrids to the south. Hermetia is the largest of these countries, of course. Who knows what's on other continents... so far away, hmm.... Now, that being said, obviously I have referenced ancient civilizations- in fact if I did not delete them out of the final draft I have hinted at two ancient civilizations that have fallen before. Yep, Midnight isn't just a post-apocalyptic story- it's post two apocalypses! The strongholds are remnants of an ancient society that discovered (and eventually migrated to) the End before shit hit the fan. The non-Peecy (Testifica) survivors of this event who did not move to the End ultimately split into two groups- the Testifica and the Illagers. Peecy people, on the other hand, found themselves splitting too- many forming animalistic characteristics, all to different degrees. They end up called Hybrids, regardless of whether they look like animalistic humans or humanoid animals. Prior to this event, however, there were only the Testifica and the Peecy peoples, and their far ancient ancestors lived in an already-ancient world and dealt with problems far different from what the modern day people do- back in the days of the Ancestors, there were no Vampires or Fae or Werewolves living in the shadows of an unsuspecting society. Wizards and Sorcerers were new, magic was unexplored and no secret, the Nether was not yet traveled or learned, and what would one day evolve into the Testifica were not yet discovered. In these days the cursed sand and an ancient evil that lives within it was society's greatest fear, and the Nether was simply known as Hell. Now, of course- the only thing all three societies have in common? The Mobs. No one knows where they came from. No one knows if they were always there, or if they came from somewhere else. If, perhaps... maybe there was someone from before. A time before the Ancients and the Ancestors. Regardless of the truth of the matter, all three societies have dealt with Mobs- from skeletons and zombies and creepers and spiders, only for more to be discovered over time (or perhaps... they simply evolved). There are rumors that some Mobs were highly intelligent, even giving themselves names, and perhaps they were the first incarnation of the Hybrids that became so prevalent thousands of years later... but who knows. All anyone knows now is there are many Mob Hybrids in existence today. How they came to be, though- is still quite the mystery...
Anyway thanks for letting me ramble~~ :D

tell us about plant powers mumbo if you have any specific thoughts!! -mnd
I have so many thoughts you don’t even know
- I think Mumbo spent more time in the s8 world than the actual irl break was. There’s the almost 3 months that the actual break took place, but in my au I think Mumbo tried for the first month or so to contact them through his communicator, but he couldn’t reach them (bc void interference) so after a while he gave up and either lost it or broke it in a fit of rage. He spends the next two months trying to figure out a way off of the server, but he can’t leave because a part of him is still so reluctant to leave since as far as he knows, he’s the only hermit still alive, and he doesn’t want to know if that’s true or not, so the plants don’t let him leave.
Meanwhile, on the s9 server, boatem has arrived and they’re frantically trying to convince the hermits with admin powers to let them go back to the s8 world to see if mumbo’s still there, but they don’t let them go for at least another month because plot and safety concerns. Eventually, they get to go, and they bring Mumbo back and they all live mostly happily ever after <3
- When the moon crashed into s8 with Mumbo still on it, he panic grew a giant canopy of trees to protect him (think that scene in guardians of the galaxy when Groot sacrifices himself to save everyone else). It works, but he can’t figure out how to get them to go back, so this means he spends the next 3 months living with no lighting other than the torches and lanterns left behind by the hermits and some giant glowberry vines that he grew
This also means that when he gets to s9, he’s not at all used to the sun anymore, and he ends up taking refuge in Scar’s tree because it’s darker in there and he can’t relax if he’s not surrounded on all sides by the humming of plant life
- His vault. His main regret after s8 is spending so much time on the Mooners that he never thought to prepare for the worst, to have a safe place for his family friends to go if worse came to worst. So he builds a vault. He hides behind jokes of being the richest hermit, behind saying that nobody is allowed to enter the vault and it’s for his eyes only, but really he’s preparing a huge underground bunker for them to ride out anything he can possibly think of. It starts out as just for the members of boatem with his starter base, but then as he settles in more and spends more time with the other hermits he starts to draw up plans for a bigger one, one that all the hermits could fit in comfortably with room to spareïżŒ
- I’ve been seeing a lot of aus recently where people invade hermitcraft and attack them (shoutout to test tube Zedaph au it’s a major source of brainrot right now), so I think Mumbo would also worry about that alongside the rest of his doomsday preparations. He sets up an elaborate network of modified plant seeds underground, including stuff like buffed wither roses, Venus fly traps, and other dangerous plants (shoutout to the Stepping Stones series on ao3 and how they wrote Tubbo with plant powers for the inspo for this) that are just lying dormant, waiting for him to activate it and let them grow in case of people coming to hermitcraft to hurt them.
- I’ve just realized there’s a bit of a plot hole with Bdubs and some other hermits canonically still being on the s8 world when the moon hit so I’m just gonna say the other hermits weren’t going to let this happen so they forced them to leave with everyone else. No hermit left behind (except mumbo but that’s not his fault) <3

Hitting Bedrock
The Boatem Crew Joins The Dream Cruise Ship
“So then, to summarize, Impulse, you will work on adding more pipes connecting your base to the rest of the gigabase. All the waste you produce, I will be able to turn into dye for to build more houses in my Peace, Love & Plants village. Grian will work on building a messaging system between our bases, finishing up his alley and he promised to try and get started on the back of his base, as to preserve our image as a corporation that is honest and doesn’t hide behind facades. Scar you plan on finalizing the blueprints of the side-alley connected to Midnight Alley you’re always talking about wanting to build. Pearl, your plans are to expand your Padllama fleet
Ah right! Talking about llamas, we have decided on this very fine day that the song you wrote last week will be the official anthem of Boatem.”
“We decided to call it the Banthem.”
Mumbo glances at Grian, whose minecart is sailing past his at high speed, and clears his throat. “Thank you for that perfectly pertinent intervention, Grian.” He clears his throat again. “Anyways, I think I’ve covered everything? Ah yes, as for me, I’ll be spending all of our funds on a company cruise ship. Sounds good?” He ignores the exasperated groans the others let out, and Grian’s mutter that he should be demoted to eye candy. “Alright then, if that is all for today, we can seal this meeting as we always do, by jumping into the Boatem Hole.” He announce smoothly, adjusting his tie and straightening his suit as he climbs out of the minecart that has been his since the beginning of this meeting and stepping closer to the hole. All his stuff is in his ender chest, including his armour and elytra, and he’s just spent all his levels enchanting a new pickaxe yesterday so he’s not worried about losing anything other than another life to the void their little community venerates.
With a sigh and a mournful glance at his four hundred and twenty-four levels, Impulse follows suit, glancing down and seeing the fake bedrock plugging it instead of the usual void. At least he out his stuff in his e-chest, so he won’t lose everything.
Grian tosses Impulse a look, amused that the man yet again didn’t have the foresight to spend his levels before jumping. “I have some XP bottles in my e-chest, Impulse, come see me afterwards and I’ll give them to you, free of charge.”
Impulse grins at that, coming closer to Grian so he can give him a quick one-armed hug.
“Thanks, G. I really appreciate it.”
Grian bumps his shoulder as he pulls away. “Anything for a friend, Impulse.”
As they step towards the hole, they can hear Scar bemoaning his fate in the background, upset about losing yet another life to the Boatem Hole, and Pearl joking about how it has to be regularly fed.
Pearl grins, strawberry blonde locks falling into her eyes.
“See you on the other side, guys!”
And then they jump, in free fall for only a minute before they hit bedrock.
A/N :
This happens some time before the meeting between Techno, Mumbo and Grian from my first post, it’s set in the early aftermath of the Doomsday War
Next time, L’manhole

Master list for the fic that acts as a rough timeline can be found here.

I was going to wait until I had finished doing all the concept sketches for this but uh, I’m lazy so here take it as it is I’ll keep adding surely surely.
-LONG POST-
AU where the hermits fall into the boatem hole with no way to fly out because of some event that happens - maybe an apocalypse, maybe everyone just goes apeshit, who knows - and they all get messed up heads from falling in the void and passing out n fun stuff like that. They ‘land’ - idk how this would work without them dying lol - in a semi futuristic city which for now let’s just call it Boateqm (silent q). The hermit crabs would also fall at different rates therefore appear in the city at different times. So where do they end up?
Hospital gang:
Etho wakes up in a hospital bed with no memories - most of them will wake up with no memories btw - his doctor/nurse (this hospital may be understaffed) Tango asks him a bunch of questions then has to go see another patient. Etho is seen by a certain Bdubs who had just finished visiting his buddy Scar -will get to him next- in the bed next door. Bdubs walks back to notify Scar, a fashion designer, that the guy in the bed across would make a great model, just look at the striking hair! And the red eye! He opens the curtains on the side and Scar gets a look. He asks if Etho would like to be hired. Etho is to say the least very confused and on the verge of a panic attack that never quite seems to happen so he’s in a weird kind of limbo anyway it is now that his doctor/nurse Tango comes back and having overheard the conversation suggests it would be a good idea. The hospital can only take custody of Etho for so long, might as well start earning money now so he doesn’t become homeless. Etho is still very confused. So Tango just agrees to the job for him as his caretaker lol, and besides Scar comes here kinda often so Tango trusts him. Anyway Etho’s true passions he discovers are synthesisers, breeding horses with Bdubs and finding elaborate ways to do tax evasion. A simple man.
Tumblr media
Scar is in the hospital because he got SCAR (hehe) from walking into a glass door in his super fancy house, which he owns because he’s a super fucking rich fashion designer of his own label Scara (this is not the first time he’s walked into a glass door). Scar refuses to go to a rich people hospital tho cause 1) he cares about healthcare and wants more funds to go to lower grade hospitals 2) Tango is his mate, and needs a goddam raise. But yeah, very successful, ran for mayor once but someone really didn’t like that which resulted in another hospital visit. Mans in the wars. One hospital visit he got really inspired by the fabric and stuff there so he had a line of clothes that were hospital inspired one time, in turn making hospital inspired garb very trendy for a bit. What a mad lad. Ideas man. Some would call him a genius if he didn’t keep on walking into glass doors n shit. Scar woke up in the back room of a small tailoring shop owned by a nice old couple who took him under their wing. He thanks them in every award speech, and whenever he’s in the area make sure to stop by and give them presents. His side hobby is gardening.
When Tango came to, he was lying on the footpath of a quiet street in the suburbs just out from the main city. Gorgeous day, golden hour, pretty houses, very aesthetic. He also had a leg injury, fuck. So Tango did what anyone would do: hobbled to the nearest house, asked in the nicest way he could under a lot of stress (so he kinda yelled) for a first aid kit, and performed surgery on himself atop the nice families dinner table. The nice family turned out to have called the police and an ambulance, who showed up just as Tango was wrapping up his leg with a bandage and took him away to the police on a stretcher. This debacle got him a leading story on the local newspaper: ‘Man performs surgery on himself after waking up with no memories and a leg injury’. After being questioned by the police, they decide they can’t really charge someone with amnesia and no money with anything like breaking and entering (he did knock and they did let him in) or property damage (blood on the carpet). The paramedics are stunned at his surgery, so they tell the police to take him to the nearest hospital and get him hired there, he could save so many lives. He gets hired by the head doctor after an examination of the surgery. The head doctor doesn’t really care that Tango doesn’t have any records or anything, the hospital is understaffed and Tango seems like an Angel sent down from the heavens to him. Tango is very very good at his job. So good that he gets offered a job at a far better paying hospital which he takes, then soon drops because he prefers the chaos of his old job much better.
Tumblr media
Tango found Impulse extremely dehydrated, looking like death, wandering outside his flat one night, so he carried the man inside and saved his life. Now they are flat mates, and Impulse works in a tech store - an upgrade from working at a service station previously.
Bdubs woke up in an inner city park at night, homeless, broke, and in the company of other homeless and broke people. He built his way to success, got luckily hired by some rich asshole to mow their lawns plural - the rich asshole didn’t ask much questions, he just saw a poor man criticising the way a park had been landscaped to an old guy in a caravan and though it was good enough, seeing as the last one quit - and Bdubs didn’t mind too much, because the rich assholes property was really gorgeous. Once Bdubs was able to say he had work experience and wasn’t homeless he started babysitting the kids in the neighbourhood, pretty good money. Plus the kids love him, and everyone he meets loves him, he's just a nice guy. He met Scar because he had to purchase a suit for a kids birthday party, so he went to the cute little tailors shop he always walked past on the way to his favourite cute little gardening supplies shop. By now Bdubs had been promoted to part time gardener - the job is shared - and started working on and off at a building firm. They become besties, turns out Scar is also really into gardening etc etc. Eventually Bdubs becomes an architect, mainly designing for city contractors n such but occasionally designer homes, like the one he did for Scar.
Mumbo and Grian wake up in the hospital around the same time that Etho is still there, however Etho has been awake longer, and should really find a place to stay soon now that he’s got a steady job. Since - ok plot point here - the two are in the exact situation that Etho found himself in, he starts to feel like something weird is going on. Mumbo and Grian take a lot longer to recover than Etho did, and the two become hospital bed neighbor buddies. When they finally recover Scar offers them a temporary place to stay at his house while they find work. Tango gets Impulse to put in a good word for Mumbo at his work.
Nomads:
TFC is an old man who lives in a caravan off the money he made being a very successful miner, he now collects pretty shiny rocks and gems and stuff to give to kids. He’s like an all year round caravan Santa and wise old mystical figure. Dope.
Joe is a humble man who likes to wander. He’s never had a home, but if he needs anything he’ll go to TFC’s caravan or a homeless shelter or something. But he isn’t sad or anything, he really likes the freedom of being a simple wanderer.
Others:
Keralis is a business partner of Bdubs. Kerlalis is mega stonks. He was one of the first to land, had a big diamond in his pocket, bought shares in a company that blew up soon after and now he is really fucking rich.
Doc and Ren are the only ones who remember anything, and they arrive at the same time. Doc manages to keep his cool, but Ren loses his shit and gets thrown in a mental institution. Doc spends some time trying to get Ren out, and after a final success and laying low for a bit the two seek to bring all the hermits together.
Pearl ends up working in Bdubs building company.
Beef works in a music shop -sells records and instruments- and he starts up a record label out back after his boss retires and passes the shop onto him.
And yeah I don’t really know the other Hermits that well was hoping some of ya’ll could help me find places for them in this city :) don’t really know how to format this either so maybe some input would be nice, just wanted to get the idea out hehehe

Alright, seeing as you're doing mooner headcanons, I request a mooner!impulse x reader. As a phantom fan I absolutely enjoyed his phantom stuff. (Also can't wait until others start requesting headcanons for the other mooners lol)
We can definitely include some phantom appreciation in these headcanons I do love the mooners, it was such a chaotic time but it made so much sense
Being With Mooner!Impulse Headcanons
Contains: Fluff, Sleep Deprivation
Being With Monner!Impulse Would Include:
You were the first to notice the temple outside of the factory
Both you and Impulse had noticed the moon, although much of your time was spent building the inside of the factory
So when you went to restock the shop and saw the Mooner temple you had been more than curious
You had taken the time to read the book in the temple, relaying it to Impulse when you got back inside and found him
Impulse hadn't seemed too interested, but did agree to join with you purely because of your excitement
It did lead to the two of you being able to work on the factory more
Until things, gravity, stopped you from being able to work consistently
It was quite the problem for both of you, the random floating did not make placing blocks easy
Things didn't get any better with less sleep either
You'd be outside at night, something which didn't happen often
Because it didn't happen often you forgot about Phantoms, you forgot about their faces and their little glowing green eyes
Impulse would spend a lot of time watching them on a night, often retreating back into the factory before the sun came up
The worst bit was watching them burn in the sunlight
Which is what prompted Impulse to come up with the idea of building them a sanctuary
You were all for it, helping him to build the enclosure from the ground up
Together you built it, you worked on the interior while Impulse worked on catching the phantoms and transporting them over
Once it was built the two of you released the phantoms
You sat and watched them together a lot, happily flying around in the daylight without becoming a crisp
It brought you and Impulse closer working on that project, allowing you both to forget about the moon which seemed to get bigger by the night
Once that was finished you and Impulse decided that you'd done enough building. It was borderline impossible to continue building with how the gravity was affecting you
The two of you made plans to leave with the rest of Boatem, giving your life savings over to Scar
It wasn't until the night before you evacuated the planet that you and Impulse gave up on the not sleeping plan It was the best nights sleep of your lives
As you were lying in bed that evening, Impulse holding you close he made you a promise "I promise to never lose another nights sleep again, not for any project I ever do. We are never not sleeping again."
That was something you could, and fully intended to, get behind

Here's something to lift your mood after what you just wrote
Imagine Impulse feels Really Bad after Pearl gets sick testing the new recipe for iDimpy bars, and he spends the next several days just. Caring for her.
He does research on foods commonly eaten in Australia when sick and does his best to make them for her (whether or not he's successful is up to your imagination)
And the whole scenario is just very soft and fluffy hurt/comfort that's very heavy on the comfort
YES. I had to write this. :D It's not specifically Australian, but chicken soup is practically universal comfort food. <3
LOOK GUYS RED CAN DO FLUFF I SWEAR. XD
_____________________________
“Pearl?”
Impulse tapped hesitantly at the door of Pearl’s upside-down boat. Well. One of the doors. He was pretty sure it was a door.
He heard shuffling from inside and stepped back as the door — not the one he’d knocked on — swung open.
Clutching a blanket around her shoulders, her green-tinted face and swollen eyes pitiful in the early morning sunrise, Pearl blinked at him.
“Mornin’, Impulse,” she said, her voice raspy. “Please don’t say you’ve got another candy for me to try.”
Impulse winced, rubbing the back of his neck. “No, no — I’m really sorry about that, Pearl. Really. I was just
you know. Checking in on you. Figured I’d see how you were doing.”
She stepped back, wordlessly inviting him inside, and he followed. The door swung shut behind him, and he realized that the inside of the house was almost entirely in darkness.
“My head’s killing me,” Pearl said. She crossed the room and dropped onto her bed, curling up on one side and tugging the blanket over her sock-clad toes. “I dunno what you put in that candy, but it’s some nasty stuff.”
Guilt coiled in Impulse’s gut and he grimaced. “What can I do to help?”
Pearl didn’t answer for a moment, her eyes drifting shut.
“Pearl?”
She blinked up at him. “I dunno, Impulse — I’ll be fine in a day or two. Just
I dunno. I can’t think straight right now.” One hand crept out of the blanket and pinched the bridge of her nose.
Okay. Okay. This is a thing I can deal with. Impulse was no stranger to caring for sick or injured friends — Ender knows he’s played nursemaid to Tango and Zed’s various ailments enough times.
“Listen,” he said, crouching down next to the bed and keeping his voice low and gentle. “I’m gonna go see if Stress has got anything to help. I’ll be back soon, okay? You just sleep, and I’ll take care of everything.”
Pearl offered a weak smile, wrinkling her nose at him. “You better,” she said, already half-asleep. “This is all your fault, you big lug.”
He waited a second, his face creased in concern, until her breathing evened out and a soft snore escaped.
Then, standing, he backed away on tiptoe. He’d fly over the Stress, see if she had any suggestions or spare potions laying around. And if Pearl could keep any food down, he knew he had some golden apples in storage.
“Be right back,” he whispered, letting the door close softly behind him. The bright morning of Boatem was fresh and cool, but he didn’t have time to enjoy it right now. He had a friend to care for.
~*~
Twenty minutes after, he was back, slipping back into Pearl’s house with all the stealth of a Grian on a prank trip. Pearl was still sleeping, so he quietly moved to the kitchen and pulled a saucepan from the cabinet, filling it with water and setting it on to boil.
When Pearl finally stirred an hour or so later, the small house was filled with the warm, comforting smell of chicken broth.
“Impulse?” she pushed herself up in the bed, rubbing at her eyes, her hair askew.
“Hey,” he answered. “You feel like eating something?”
Pearl started to shake her head, and then paused. “Actually,” she said, “That smells really good. Maybe
 just a little?”
With a smile, Impulse ladled out a small bowl of the stew: herbs, carrots, chicken, and slices of golden apple swimming in the rich broth. There was also a dash of healing potion in it — not enough to taste, but enough to be helpful. He carried it over to Pearl and let her take the bowl, sinking down to sit on a low stair next to the bed.
Pearl took a ginger sip, and her eyebrows shot up to her hairline. “Impulse!” she said, pulling her head back and looking down at the bowl with brighter eyes. “This is
this is actually really good. Where’d you learn to cook?”
He shrugged. “You pick up a few things,” he said. Then, a bit quieter. “I, ah. Again: I apologize, Pearl. I thought I had the candy bar recipe fixed, but I shouldn’t have asked you to be my guinea pig.”
Pearl took another slurp of the stew with a little hmmm of satisfaction. “Nah,” she said, swallowing. “I could have said no, after all.” She lowered the bowl to her lap and gave him a grin that, though weak, still sparked with mischief. “But,” she said. “When I’m better, you’re definitely going to help me clean up Boatem.”
Impulse winced. “Aw, man
” And then he shrugged. “No, you’re right. Fair is fair.”
Pearl nudged his knee with her foot. “And no more experiments.”
“Ah
 I can’t promise that.”
She rolled her eyes at him. “Fine. But go after Grian next time. He left a giant G in the side of my castle anyway.”
Impulse laughed — catching himself just in time to keep it quiet for Pearl’s headache. “Done,” he said.
Pearl toasted that with the soup bowl. “Thanks, Impulse,” she said quietly.
He shrugged. “Hey,” he said. “That’s what family’s for.”
She smiled, looking down at the bowl and not actually at him. “Yeah,” she agreed. “Family.”

So in Dragon Mom Grian, does Tegg become Free Babysittingâ„ąïž? Also Grian just
napping with the rest of Boatam around him.
I've had images in my head of Grian making a giant nest in his base and when he's feeling particularly motherly/loving/cuddly [and sometimes a bit lonely], he kidnaps the Boatem Crew and takes them to his nest and holds them close with his wings wrapped around them. they don't mind at all and the five of them just chill out for a time in the nest and cuddle.
[this got a bit long so I'm sticking everything under the "keep reading" line]
as for the babysitting...yes and no.
at first, it's just a game to be played, albeit with a little anxiety on Grian's part and a bit of concern from others about their fellow hermit who's constantly visiting them and asking after the tegg – how's the tegg doing? is it being cared for? mobs can't get to it right? how's the tegg doing? is the area creeper-proof? it hasn't been damaged, right? how's the tegg doing? etc
Grian doesn't fully realize that he's being protective over the tegg – he's sure he's just asking after it because it's the only one in existence and ya know, he has to make sure it's all right because it's the key factor to the game. and he is kind of overseeing the game so there's nothing wrong with asking the players if it's safe, right? of course there isn't!
to the players involved in the tag game, at first they're like, oh, he's just checking in because 1) he's overseeing the game and 2) he just wants to make sure it's okay because it's the only dragon egg in existence. then they notice that the longer a player has it, the more frequent his visits, like every few days or so. the more concerned parties eventually go to a member of Boatem and are like "hey, is Grian all right? he seems a bit anxious?" and the Boatem member is just like "yeah, G's developed some motherly instincts towards the egg but don't worry, folks, everything's fine and he'll get better once the game is over"
then the game ends and Grian gets the egg back and he seems a bit more normal, though, he does spend a lot more time at his base. Boatem notices that his protective instincts seem to evolve to where he's watching over their village more and that he kind of follows any visitors around. they're at first like "huh, that's weird" then after a couple incidents where one or so members get hurt, they realize that "oh, his instincts don't only care about the egg but us as well, neat! we've got our own personal guardian angel watching over us."
Grian notices a change in himself eventually, though, it takes the Boatem Crew to bring his protectiveness to light. after he's like "huh, this is weird, since when did I become such a mom?" he accepts it after some time but sometimes, the instincts are a bit much – examples include but not limited to...
he has to gather resources but he doesn't want to leave the egg alone, he knows it's safe but still...what if it's not? [this is where babysitters will come into play]
pulling the Boatem Crew out of danger should they be in it, or getting in the way and protecting them while getting rid of the danger
stalking any visitors from a distance and sometimes swooping down on them from above should they be doing anything deemed a threat [ex: Evil X trying to set up a cryptocurrency derpcoin notice board near their portal].
the near-constant need for cuddles. at first, he doesn't realize he wants cuddles until sometime later when he's giving Scar or Mumbo a hug, then he's like "oh...this is really nice actually, we should hug more often". cuddle sessions become a regular thing in Boatem – usually after one of them [mostly Scar] respawns but also just as a weekly/bi-weekly slumber party.
and now babysitting – only with a select few are chosen to watch over the egg when Grian has to do some resource gathering/adventure stuff. it's not that he doesn't trust everyone on the Hermitcraft server, it's only that he trusts some more than others with watching over his precious egg. these people are: Impulse, Pearl, Bdubs, Gem, Joe and Cleo, Doc and Ren, Iskall, and TFC.
he finds that they all make wonderful babysitters and they treat it as though it's more than just an egg, like maybe it's actually Grian's child or smth?
Impulse teaches the egg about making candy and sings the Candyman theme song thing to it
Pearl gives it llama rides or carries it in a kangaroo-esque pouch when she's pranking people. she'll also share stories about the old Evo days and stories about Grian being a bit of a menace (affectionate).
Joe reads the egg poetry and Cleo teaches it about armor stands.
Gem carries it around in her antlers while she builds because she needs her hands to work and she believes it likes to feel tall – she has a special harness/pouch she uses so that it's safe from falling.
TFC takes the egg into the mines with him and has a special basket installed onto his minecarts so that he can talk to it while he works without it being in the way. he usually talks about either some adventures he's had or about the different ores/resources that can be found in the mines.
Iskall has a backpack that he wears and he'll talk to the egg while he terraforms since Etho's always doing his own thing. he also likes to take it to the very top of the base and show it the amazing view.
Bdubs has a special moss hoodie that's made with a pouch so that he can carry the egg around and teach it about horse breeding and pretty redstone. if he's babysitting at night, he will tuck it into a bed and read it a story.
Doc also carries it around in a pouch-harness thing that he straps to his chest and he talks through any redstone issues in the way a coder uses a rubber duck – he already uses the harness thing to carry baby goats with him while he works so why not use it for the egg too?
Ren finds that the babysitting is a great opportunity for a day off – he'll either nap in the rv with it or he'll chill out with it on the beach next to the rv. sometimes Renbob visits and the two of them will make flower crowns together and cover the egg in flowers.

might i bring up the idea of (yan) boatem and a bad ass reader... its been haunting me
-you probably end up on their radar bc u help scar so much, seriously he dies once in chat and u show up to insult help him and hes hooked on you
-the rest of boatem notices you and starts to ask you for help, i mean look at all the mobs.. and youre so cool! please help..
-ofc you stay i mean. how guilty would you feel if you left people who cant fight to fend for themselves?
-mumbo starts to BEG you to kill stuff for him whining that end crystals cost too much
-pearl asks you to help her retrieve stuff because nothing can kill you obviously..
-grian asks you to help with mob farming bc u dont even flinch
-impulse asks you to clear out the areas he hasnt lit up or help collect for farms
-you cant deny they hit you right in your soft spot, i mean what could they ever do to you? all they want is help, plus its nice to be so wanted
-honestly it all helps puff up your ego and youre so busy with all of them you dont notice how the other hermits steer clear of you, receiving stories of how mean or how scary you are from boatem
-they even whine to you how mean some of the other hermits are to them, and with how attached you are now you steer clear of them as well (how could anyone be so mean to these guys? theyre honestly cute....)
-i mean they cant beat you in combat but isolation is a little TOO easy...
YOO THIS IS SO GOOD!!!!!!
While they aren't defenseless it would be a straight lie to say they can't be... absent minded often. You have such a commanding and confident air about you, it's not hard to see why they'd want you to stick around.
You feel untouchable, like you're an action movie protagonist that has no right to be alive and in perfect condition after whatever you just did. Pulling the others out of danger, cutting down monsters like grass or otherwise just being the muscle of the group there's really nothing they don't want to grab your time for.
For a while it all works perfectly. You're wanted and they get to spend time with such an awesome person! Maybe it's caused by a shoping trip or a meetup that takes a little too long, but they get a tad possessive. Others aren't keen on reaching out to you and you keep hearing stories about how not very kind the others are to your little group.
It doesn't sit just right with you. They haven't done anything wrong! Maybe you are getting a little protective over them as well, but they really don't like you leaving, so you'll stay. Just like they want

okay so i’m a lil bit hyperfixated on sdv at the moment and in honour of those portraits i drew and precisely one person mentioning something about it and firing up my neurons here’s how i think the boatem members would work as stardew valley npc’s but it got kinda long so it’s under the cut
i feel like scar would be like the travelling cart lady, but rather than being in the same spot every week for two days a week he has 3 or 4 set spots around the map that he turns up at at various times so you can almost always find him it’s just a matter of where. though unlike the travelling cart lady, if you can’t find his shop you can still find him wandering around town so you can befriend him. his heart events almost always end up with you getting some rare unique item. romanceable, gives you copper ingots sometimes after marrying him. he does still do his rounds in the cart though so he’s not actually on the farm often
i think after initially meeting him grian would try and lay out some sort of prank on your farm, and as part of one of his daily routines you see him setting up pranks and games around town and if you watch long enough you see some of the other townspeople interacting with them (this maybe only happens one day a season though). his earlier heart events also involve tricking the townspeople in various ways but then at like his 6 heart event or something you find him looking rlly sad out at a lake and he alludes to his Tragic Backstory. as time goes on you end up learning abt these weird spirits called the watchers. you can marry him but like shane he will lose almost all personality and character development if you do (but he does occasionally give you duck feathers and wool so he’s good to marry for tactical reasons in early game). before marrying him he lives up in the mountains in a cave under where linus lives
mumbo spends most of his time in cindersap forest and initially lives in a van nearby the secret woods, but after one of his heart events that ends with the van being destroyed robin (or ig whoever would be her substitute here if i’m replacing ppl?) fixes up the hat mouses house for him and he lives there (the hat mouse is replaced by jellie in this scenario so she goes off to live with scar). he has a shop in town where he mainly just sells junk alongside bombs and building supplies, but after completing the community centre he also sells stuff like crystalariums and seed makers and other useful machines. also able to be married and you get a discount at his shop if you do, as well as him occasionally giving you rubies, bombs and farmer’s lunches
impulses factory is in a whole new area that can be accessed via a path near the joja mart, and it’s Massive. it’s both a shop and his house and you can explore the whole thing. its pretty much as you’d expect, he sells chocolates and lollies and things out of it. one of his heart events involves the whole fizzy lifting drink thing. non-romanceable, he’s got a factory to run lol
disclaimer once again that i don’t watch pearl so this one is maybe a little off jhsvjd. i think she could also live up in the mountains, maybe in a new area above the adventurers guild that’s only accessible to you using the minecart system so you don’t get to actually meet her until a little later in the game, though the other characters mention her sometimes. once you do gain access to her house she lives on a farm herself and sells llamas. the llamas make llama wool which makes a different type of cloth that you can make special clothes out of that give you various stat boosts, usually the same way boots do where they add defense and immunity but some add like +1 luck or speed. non-romanceable

Break time
I signed up to do a hermitcraft Valentine’s Day thing and I got assigned for you @crypteyes So here it is, Ren tries to get Doc to have a break.
Edit: @mcytblr-valentine-grams forgot to tag you earlier.
Doc woke up to the sound of a light thump against a nearby trapdoor. 'That's strange,' thought Doc. Looking towards his commutator so that he could read the time. 10:51am, 'oh, wait, wasn't that last 4:37am.' His nose scrunched up in pain that was radiating from the middle of his head.
"Wakey, wakey Doc, time to get up now." Standing in front of him was Ren. Quietly laughing as to not make Doc’s migraine worse. “Come on Doc, let's get you out of here. We deserve a break, and like anyway everyone else is having a break today,” Ren explained as he grabbed onto Doc’s wrists and pulled him up. Doc Let out a small cough after sleeping on the hard ground of the octagon’s belly where the newly installed redstone belonged.
“Boatem has a meeting planned for today,” Doc replied as he pulled his coat on properly as it had begun to fall off his arm.
“Yeah, well,” Ren added, leading Doc towards the trapdoor to get outside. “Their meeting hardly counts as work, do they?”
“Fair enough,” Doc huffed as he pulled himself through the trapdoor. “So what have you got planned then dude? It sounds like you do.” Then Helping Ren get out himself.
“I know we do that barbecue each time we have a meeting. But they only last for like an hour or so. So I’d thought we could spend a whole day doing something like that. You’ve been working so hard with the Octagon and all the weird stuff happening, we deserve a break.” Ren explained to his base mate.
“Yeah you’ve right.” said Doc. “We will need to go grab some stuff from storage and then we can get going.”
“Right you are my man,” answered Ren as he strapped his elytra to his back. Doc then did the same.
“Let’s get going.” Doc said as the two of them flew off to get their stuff. The sound of fireworks exploding echoing around the walls of the Octagon.
