Why would you ship Joey with Pixlriffs? He's not Joey's type at all. He's not even that cute. It doesn't make any sense.
dude...what???
I was gonna let this rot in my inbox because this ask comes off as kinda rude? idk if you meant it as a rude question, anon, or if you were asking honestly.
either way, I just do? I like new ships, even crack ships, just because it's fun to have a million and one ships to think about when I'm laying in bed at night waiting for sleep to take me. and it's not like I'm shipping the content creators 'cause ew, that's just wrong [unless, of course, they are irl together like Joel and Lizzie or Philza and Mumza]. I am shipping the characters Joey, King of the Lost Empire, and Pixlriffs, Copper King of Pixandria.
now, to answer your questions in full because I feel like rambling:
Why would you ship Joey and Pixlriffs? why not? shipping characters is fun. serious answer: look at the characters.
Joey, King of the Lost Empire, is essentially Lost himself - he is a man who is so love-starved that he convinced himself that a demon loved him. he believed this so whole-heartedly that he became obsessed, he turned his back on his people, his kingdom, because he was desperate for someone to love him. and when that demon was defeated? he was still Lost and still love-starved - there was no one there to tell him that he doesn't need a demon giving him a false sense of companionship, there was no one to tell him that they're his friend and they are there for him, there was no one there to comfort him when his whole world came crashing down. Shrub came close - she told him that he didn't need Xornoth and that Xornoth was only using him. but when all was said and done, she never really visited him nor did she really talk to him after that [granted, she had her own issues to contend with] [also, I'm sure there are times where they talk like at the Feast but I don't believe she ever goes out of her way to talk to him. correct me if I'm wrong].
and then there's Pixlriffs, the Copper King of Pixandria. he is a man who is anything but Lost - he knows his lot in life and he has both feet planted firmly on the ground. he's one of the older rulers and it shows in his tone, his mannerisms, sometimes even in his appearance. he knows who he is and nothing in the universe can shake that, save the Fall of the Dragon. he is everything that Joey is not - his eyes are clear, he has a mission that he's dedicated his Life to, he is grounded, he has friends who love him and who would come to his aid should he ask, and he is not easily swayed by the forces of darkness.
Pixlriffs is exactly the kind of stability that one such as Joey would need in his life - whether that be in a relationship or as simply, a friend [note: irl, I do not advise getting into a romantic relationship with someone who is seriously unstable mentally - that's just gonna end badly for everyone involved]. and Joey, while he is unstable, has quite a bit of energy and is very lively, and he could potentially be someone that Pixlriffs can fully relax with and just enjoy life [not that he doesn't get that with the seablings or Joel but really, they're on the edge of chaos in more ways than one].
He's not Joey's type at all.
uh...are you sure about that? cause I distinctly remember a moment where Joey literally called Pixlriffs sexy - Joey Graceffa Episode 25 Pixlriffs Episode 27 - granted, Pixlriffs was wearing a Xornoth costume (with Katherine's head), but I stand by the fact that at one point in time, Pixlriffs was Joey's type. does this develop later on? who knows? could it develop into something more? who knows? we certainly don't because not long after, Pixlriffs stops making videos [which is okay, there's nothing wrong with that! sometimes you just lose interest in your builds and while that sucks, it's understandable why he wouldn't want to continue].
but I'll take what I get and I will run with it like many other fans already have.
He's not even that cute.
...that is a matter of opinion. you didn't specify the "he" but I believe you're talking about Pixlriffs so I'm gonna go forward with that thought in mind. though, if you meant Joey, well, imo he's very cute too! a little weird sometimes with his whole demon obsession thing, but still cute!
Pixlriffs is very cute! maybe he's not physically cute like some of the softer looking Emperors [I do actually think he's physically cute too, but that's just my opinion], but he is undeniably very cute when it comes to his personality and some of the things he does.
Case in Point:
1) he traveled to other empires in wandering trader garb and either brought an animal with him or borrowed someone's animal in order to sell the bit. cutest deal was perhaps when he was trying to traverse a mountain with a sheep in order to make a trade with Scott of Rivendell, and Scott was simply watching him struggle over the mountain.
2) in a world where Death is trivial and people just pick themselves up and continue what they were doing without a second thought, Pixlriffs takes the time to light a candle in memorial to the death they suffered. he built a shrine for this very purpose, to honor the deaths of his friends, allies, and fellow rulers. he gave them each their own colored candle and kept track of how many times each ruler died, and when he ran out of space, he accommodated that by making lanterns. if that's not cute, then I don't know what is.
3) gunpowder bros, need I say more? actually I do because every little interaction with them is just so adorable. one of my favorites is during the heist when they need a steady milk supply - Pixlriffs Episode 23
Fwhip: you got a goat, didn't you?
Pixlriffs: haha I brought a goat! :D
3, continued) in those short few seconds, you can hear the smile on Pixlriffs' face and hear just how proud he is that he brought a goat. seeing that short scene, hearing how pleased with himself he is, it just makes me smile too because there is nothing cuter than a man who's that excited about bringing his bro a goat in a boat.
4) the things he's made for Jimmy: the Copper Salmon Cod/the Cod Statue - Pixlriffs Episode 9, the embassy statue that screams "Dad Vibe" and the Cod Sanctuary where he went above and beyond in the build - Pixlriffs Episode 27. and let's not forget to mention just about every interaction he has with Jimmy and Lizzie and Joel [I'd list them all but the list would be a mile long and this response is already long enough].
5) his ever-expanding collection of pillager banners. it's such a subtle thing, the collection growing in the background of his videos, but it's worth mentioning. there's just something about Minecraft players and their collections that makes me smile, and Pixlriffs'? he faced off against pillagers time and time again, they invaded his empire and he stood against them, and as a reward, he kept their banners and displayed them in his home for the world to see. it's just so cute!
-
there's a lot more instances where Pixlriffs is cute but these are the main ones I think about and honestly, I'm getting tired of listing things and this post has already gotten fairly long.
I hope this post answered your questions, anon, and shown you why I ship Joey and Pixlriffs :)

So in Dragon Mom Grian, does Tegg become Free Babysitting™️? Also Grian just… napping with the rest of Boatam around him.
I've had images in my head of Grian making a giant nest in his base and when he's feeling particularly motherly/loving/cuddly [and sometimes a bit lonely], he kidnaps the Boatem Crew and takes them to his nest and holds them close with his wings wrapped around them. they don't mind at all and the five of them just chill out for a time in the nest and cuddle.
[this got a bit long so I'm sticking everything under the "keep reading" line]
as for the babysitting...yes and no.
at first, it's just a game to be played, albeit with a little anxiety on Grian's part and a bit of concern from others about their fellow hermit who's constantly visiting them and asking after the tegg – how's the tegg doing? is it being cared for? mobs can't get to it right? how's the tegg doing? is the area creeper-proof? it hasn't been damaged, right? how's the tegg doing? etc
Grian doesn't fully realize that he's being protective over the tegg – he's sure he's just asking after it because it's the only one in existence and ya know, he has to make sure it's all right because it's the key factor to the game. and he is kind of overseeing the game so there's nothing wrong with asking the players if it's safe, right? of course there isn't!
to the players involved in the tag game, at first they're like, oh, he's just checking in because 1) he's overseeing the game and 2) he just wants to make sure it's okay because it's the only dragon egg in existence. then they notice that the longer a player has it, the more frequent his visits, like every few days or so. the more concerned parties eventually go to a member of Boatem and are like "hey, is Grian all right? he seems a bit anxious?" and the Boatem member is just like "yeah, G's developed some motherly instincts towards the egg but don't worry, folks, everything's fine and he'll get better once the game is over"
then the game ends and Grian gets the egg back and he seems a bit more normal, though, he does spend a lot more time at his base. Boatem notices that his protective instincts seem to evolve to where he's watching over their village more and that he kind of follows any visitors around. they're at first like "huh, that's weird" then after a couple incidents where one or so members get hurt, they realize that "oh, his instincts don't only care about the egg but us as well, neat! we've got our own personal guardian angel watching over us."
Grian notices a change in himself eventually, though, it takes the Boatem Crew to bring his protectiveness to light. after he's like "huh, this is weird, since when did I become such a mom?" he accepts it after some time but sometimes, the instincts are a bit much – examples include but not limited to...
he has to gather resources but he doesn't want to leave the egg alone, he knows it's safe but still...what if it's not? [this is where babysitters will come into play]
pulling the Boatem Crew out of danger should they be in it, or getting in the way and protecting them while getting rid of the danger
stalking any visitors from a distance and sometimes swooping down on them from above should they be doing anything deemed a threat [ex: Evil X trying to set up a cryptocurrency derpcoin notice board near their portal].
the near-constant need for cuddles. at first, he doesn't realize he wants cuddles until sometime later when he's giving Scar or Mumbo a hug, then he's like "oh...this is really nice actually, we should hug more often". cuddle sessions become a regular thing in Boatem – usually after one of them [mostly Scar] respawns but also just as a weekly/bi-weekly slumber party.
and now babysitting – only with a select few are chosen to watch over the egg when Grian has to do some resource gathering/adventure stuff. it's not that he doesn't trust everyone on the Hermitcraft server, it's only that he trusts some more than others with watching over his precious egg. these people are: Impulse, Pearl, Bdubs, Gem, Joe and Cleo, Doc and Ren, Iskall, and TFC.
he finds that they all make wonderful babysitters and they treat it as though it's more than just an egg, like maybe it's actually Grian's child or smth?
Impulse teaches the egg about making candy and sings the Candyman theme song thing to it
Pearl gives it llama rides or carries it in a kangaroo-esque pouch when she's pranking people. she'll also share stories about the old Evo days and stories about Grian being a bit of a menace (affectionate).
Joe reads the egg poetry and Cleo teaches it about armor stands.
Gem carries it around in her antlers while she builds because she needs her hands to work and she believes it likes to feel tall – she has a special harness/pouch she uses so that it's safe from falling.
TFC takes the egg into the mines with him and has a special basket installed onto his minecarts so that he can talk to it while he works without it being in the way. he usually talks about either some adventures he's had or about the different ores/resources that can be found in the mines.
Iskall has a backpack that he wears and he'll talk to the egg while he terraforms since Etho's always doing his own thing. he also likes to take it to the very top of the base and show it the amazing view.
Bdubs has a special moss hoodie that's made with a pouch so that he can carry the egg around and teach it about horse breeding and pretty redstone. if he's babysitting at night, he will tuck it into a bed and read it a story.
Doc also carries it around in a pouch-harness thing that he straps to his chest and he talks through any redstone issues in the way a coder uses a rubber duck – he already uses the harness thing to carry baby goats with him while he works so why not use it for the egg too?
Ren finds that the babysitting is a great opportunity for a day off – he'll either nap in the rv with it or he'll chill out with it on the beach next to the rv. sometimes Renbob visits and the two of them will make flower crowns together and cover the egg in flowers.

Tell me more about the AU where Jimmy is corrupted :D How do his allies react and whatnot once they find out? How does Scott react?
It's a bad time, very bad time indeed for everyone involved. And here's why! :3
[the answer got long so I threw it under a cut]
At first, his allies – Lizzie, Joel, and Pixlriffs – are very happy to see him alive and well. They had thought he died or that Xornoth had taken him to be tortured because the day after the raid on the Cod Empire, the day after the absolute massacre of every person that lived in Jimmy's swamp, he had gone missing. They searched for days for him while they laid his people to rest, but there was no sign of him.
They feared the worst and hoped if he was still alive that he was safe and sound. So, when months later, they saw him again, they were happy. They found their friend again, and Lizzie found her brother – she discovered her origins a couple months after his disappearance and she hoped to find Jimmy again and try to make things up to him for abandoning him all those years ago.
But that happiness immediately turns to worry and concern because Jimmy is not the man they used to know. Jimmy had changed, both physically and in personality. Jimmy used to be kind and sweet and so cheerful but the Jimmy that stands before them is cold and bitter and not afraid to hurt anyone – obviously, since it was him who killed the dragon and released Xornoth's true power.
And his looks now? He wears a different outfit, much like Sausage did, and it's darker tones – grey instead of white, black instead of green, and a horned helmet instead of a cod mask. His eyes are red, his skin and his scales pale, black veins trail like spiderwebs from his eyes and over his skin. His voice is deeper, rougher than before, as if he's been gargling gravel.
His allies try to ask him what happened, try to get him to tell them why he joined Xornoth, but he won't talk to them. They fret about him and he pushes them away. He wants nothing more to do with them, but they vow, they swear they're going to help him.
–––
As for Scott, he's shocked and worried and guilty once he finds out that Jimmy is not only alive, but also a puppet of his demon brother. By the time he meets Jimmy again, he knows of their history, he remembers everything of their life before in another world – he remembers Jimmy confessing his love with a poppy, he remembers how they used to lay in a field of flowers and gaze up at the stars, he remembers playing a cake prank on his husband and the two laughing about it after, he remembers the late nights of laying in bed and talking about nothing, he remembers Jimmy calling him "petal". He remembers the wars and the bloodshed that painted that world red, but it's the good things like Jimmy's smile and his laugh that he focuses on more.
It breaks his heart to see Jimmy this way, to see his husband so cold and bitter, so lifeless. And to find out that he remembers their history too and he hates him for it? It. Breaks. His. Heart.
He vows to Jimmy that he'll get him back. He'll find a way to break him free of Xornoth's control and he'll save him. He doesn't care how long it takes, he will find a way to get his Jimmy back. Jimmy just laughs in his face and sarcastically tells him "good luck with that, petal"
Scott dives into the books of Rivendell's library, he contacts the Cod-Alliance for anything information, he talks to Gem hoping she might know something or be able to find a spell - a potion - anything that might help, he...visits Sausage and asks him about his time under Xornoth's control.
Scott's still angry and hurt over the kidnapping, over Sausage and Joey taking him and Gem, over them torturing her and him being unable do anything to stop them. He swore to himself that he would never forgive Sausage, let alone speak to him ever again. But desperate times call for desperate measures and this...Jimmy being under Xornoth's control, is a desperate time.
So Scott goes to Sausage and asks him to tell him everything.
Sausage does so willingly – he'll do anything to help Jimmy because in Sausage's eyes, he was the one who pushed Jimmy into the demon's path, he caused that raid and killed all those people and if it wasn't for him Jimmy would be safe and happy. So Sausage is more than willing to tell Scott anything and everything he can about his time under Xornoth's influence – and, if Scott's okay with it, he wants to help him free Jimmy too.
They team up, Scott and Sausage, and they search for answers together. Together, they scour every inch, every nook and cranny, of not only Rivendell's library, but also Mythland's, and then the Crystal Cliffs' library. The more time Scott spends with Sausage, the more he starts to forgive him – he'll never forget what Sausage did to him, nor will he forget that Sausage was the cause of Jimmy's fall from grace – but he will forgive him.

so I'm back on my shit again
meaning, I've lost motivation to write fanfiction because I've gotten a bit frustrated with it :/ also been binging old Naked & Scared seasons [Impulse and Skizzleman's series]. so, y'know, def haven't been working on any stories. life's also gotten a bit in the way and by life, I mean mental health issues and now I've got this breathing problem, and my puppy's got some issues with her breathing too - thinning of the trachea but it's okay, the Vet gave her some pills and she's doing all right! :)
anyway, I'm not here to talk about life stuff, I'm here to talk about my fanfics - this post is more just to get some things cleared up in my brainspace.
I've been thinking a lot about said stories - the Found Family AU and the Jimnoth AU - and ya know what? I'm not happy with the Found Family story I've got so far. I'm also a little unhappy with the Jimnoth AU but it's mostly because of the side characters than the story itself - specifically the empires that I've placed some of the hermits in. but that's whatever, I can live with it.
so like Found Family: Shrub's background story is neat and all, there's a lot of worldbuilding, but I dunno, I thought I'd get through the story quickly and I'm just...not. There's a few things I'm not happy with and one of those things is how slow the progress is, also the title of the story - the Creed of Gods and Men. I want that title to be more for the series since there's at least a few parts to the full story - the corruption of Connell's soul, Shrub's life before she traveled to the world of Empires, and Shrub's life in Empires and the whole demon fiasco.
So, I think what I'm gonna do is put her background story on the backburner for now and focus on Shrub's life in the world of Empires. I might mess with the background story a bit, like changing the name and adjusting the content, but if I do, it'll be on the original document saved on my computer and not on the version uploaded to AO3.
I'm gonna try to write a few chapters of her in Empires, already got a nice prologue written, but I don't think I'll upload anything until I've got those first few chapters hashed out. I'll leave the background story up on AO3 for now but I'm not going to be updating it for awhile, not until I get things hashed out, sorry :/
hopefully I'll get back some of my motivation and get to work on the fanfics, and get those fics to a point where I'm happy with them.

How would you think that Jade would react to meeting Joey and Jude and the other way around?
I'll be honest, @sharkrad08222222 I was really confused for a hot minute about your question cause I was sure this is Homestuck-related but I had no idea who Joey and Jude are??? [I still kinda don't know who they are even after looking them up]
I had to google them and they seem like cool people? idk, I never got into Hiveswap. Only other Homestuck-related things I've seen are the Homestuck Epilogues [ugh, hated those] and Friendism but only in "Let's Read/Let's Play" videos on Youtube [it was...okay, but I didn't care for it].
But after a little bit of digging [i.e. just looking at their wiki pages], I would say that Jade, imo, would love meeting them. There really isn't anyone she doesn't love, afaik, after getting to know them. idk how they'd like Jade since, again, never seen any Hiveswap content, but if they're anything like John or Jade, then I imagine they would want to be friends with her?
tbh, I thought Joey and Jude were like another play on John and Jade, like other name options for their trans/other gender-related alternate selves that some in the fandom headcanon them as? so I was like "what've I been missing during my time away from the fandom?"
but apparently they're Jade's half siblings? idk, that's kinda wild, maybe I should check out this Hiveswap thing?
