Hear me out, post war tfp MegaStar but Starscream is a hyperactive DIY man that wants to explore everything and everywhere while Megatron is just old tiered grandpa that had to keep up with him but old age is affecting him(bad back pain and other old stuff). Like, Starscream is making a new table to match the blinds and while he was "reading" the instructions and eating Megatron is out there kneeling down screwing the nails and complaining about back pain.

Oh he's so doing it on purpose

The fact that I'm pretty sure Starscream in tfp isn't even THAT much younger than Megatron makes it funnier.

(technically, we don't know Starscream's age in aligned. We know he's at least older than the war and had a very established life already, though)
