so, my beloved friend @fairyysoup, along with being a truly stellar writer, is an accomplished sims artist. and one day, they surprised me with one of the most delightful things I’ve ever seen: a replica of the entire mortuary.

since today is their birthday (and cheers to many more, babe! 🖤✨) I wanted to take a minute to highlight a skill they don’t get a lot of recognition for, but they really should!! the amount of detail and thought they put into it melted my entire heart, and this is me holding it up like simba at the beginning of the lion king like “LOOK AT THE BABY”

and last but certainly not least, this is Blair, whom I’ve mentioned before is acting as Final Them in the manuscript version, whom Soup also absolutely nailed.

so like, this in itself is a massive treat and insanely flattering, bc I love any excuse to mentally rotate my scrunklies like rotisserie chickens by gazing on their likenesses, but then Soup was like “hang on you haven’t seen nothing yet”

and then they showed me the fucking House???

New Plural Term - 2nd Personality (2P)

Are you median? Or maybe you're a facet? Are you a headmate who fragmented off of another headmate?

Well here comes a term your way! We made this to easily describe our own median experience with our close friends and partners, and you can too!

NOTE:

This term is paired with 1st Personality, or 1P. In order to fully understand the meaning of 2P, go read our other blog post :)

2nd Personality, or 2P for short, is a forceful alteration of your personality and/or thoughts, which happens when it mixes with your 1st Personality. This can lead to changes in what you say, how you respond, and your actions.

Every headmate has their own 1P, and when they're in the Innerworld, usually this is unaffected. However, once someone fronts, and especially if they enter primary front, the 2P will often mix itself with the 1P, and it may remain this way until the fronter leaves.

Some systems may attribute 2P to a previous headmate, a default state, their brain, and/or a blurred state. As well as this, some systems may experience 2P as being responsive, and this may show in how much it bleeds into the current fronters. However, usually the 2nd Personality doesn't speak or show up in headspace as its own entity.

This is more common in median systems and with facets, and is common with headmates who've fragmented off of another or previous headmate, however this is not an exclusive term and can apply regardless of how your system chooses to define itself.

1st Personality is your individual personality. It's what makes you, well, you, and sets you apart from the rest of your system. For singlets who may be reading this to educate yourselves, this is just your own singular personality.

Whenever someone fronts, they remain with their 1P. However, due to the nature of some systems, they may also have a default personality, called the 2P. (Some systems may attribute 2P to a previous headmate, a default state, their brain, and/or blurred state) The fronter may then take on or be affected by this 2P, since they're in front.

The 2P usually influences how the fronter acts or speaks, and may influence their thoughts too, however the fronter's 1P is typically unaffected by the 2P in the Innerworld/Headspace, as it tends to only influence their behaviour and thoughts when they are fronting.

This is more common in median systems and with facets, and is common with headmates who've fragmented off of another or previous headmate, however this is not an exclusive term and can apply regardless of how your system chooses to define itself.

I'll answer all of these except 🐝 for Soup since they're the only ones I haven't talked about for these asks!

🐒 Who is the big spoon, middle spoon and little spoon?

It's not very common for us all to cuddle together as a group so typically not really a middle spoon. Giyuu is a little spoon, Kyojuro is fine with either, Sanemi is mostly a big spoon but he likes to be held sometimes too... Even if he can stubborn to admit it...

🐦 What were your first date together?

Stargazing at the park watching for shooting stars. This was when Giyuu managed to confess their feelings, so I suppose it wasn't technically a date since it didn't start that way, but I'd still consider it one.

🐝 Do you have a poly ship with FOs from different sources?

Pie in the windowsill and the clergy are both mixed sources, every member of those are from different sources than each other! Also I'd say just the work from home au in general bc it features all my f/os lol

🐁 Any headcanons you have about your polycule?

-Gender and sexuality hcs for the group: Kyojuro is bisexual and ok with any pronouns but mostly defaults to he/him bc it's what he's used to. Sanemi is a butch he/him lesbian. Giyuu is a nonbinary lesbian.

-HCs for how we all met in the modern AU: me and Kyojuro have been friends since highschool when he moved to my town. My grandma is friends with Urokodaki (who is Giyuu's dad in this AU) and she introduced me to Giyuu at a welcome home party Urokodaki threw for Giyuu when they moved back into town. Sanemi is friends with Tengen, who works at my bar as a bouncer, Tengen invited him and some other friends and he ended up stirring trouble at the bar. Kyojuro and Sanemi met that night at the bar too. I introduced Giyuu and Kyojuro. Giyuu met Sanemi at Sanemi's bakery when they were ordering desserts for an event.

-First, me and Sanemi started dating and then he noticed that I very obviously still had a thing for Kyojuro and told me to just ask him out already- which I did but not immediately after that. Giyuu was the last to join the polycule bc they were still working out some stuff with their sexuality for a bit after we all met.

-Kyojuro and Sanemi do the cooking for our gatherings, me and Giyuu do the cleaning

-We all still live separately bc we just prefer it that way, Sanemi lives literally next door to me anyway

🦥 In a modern setting, what job would each of you have?

In the modern AU, I own a bar at which Kyojuro works as a bartender. Sanemi owns a bakery, and Giyu is an event planner (who kinda hates their job but money good)
