Regarding your Guinevere take, *my* hot take is that I don't think there's good intentions there, rather it's all for Arthur's sake. and thats literally JUST talking about mei and it doesnt even begin to cover the other female characters. chang'e constantly gets reduced to being red sons aunt/mom/big sister despite them like. not having any actual interactions in the show. lady bone demon constantly gets overshadowed by her minion who has like 2 seconds of screen time, or she gets made into a cartoonishly abusive madwoman who people call lady bitch demon. just in general people act like shes a horrible person for like. being a villain. liks yeah the trying to destroy everything was bad but also she was an antagonist and thats what antagonists do LOL. spider queen gets completely ignored. princess iron fan gets made into a cartoonishly abusive mother so that way red son can have a poor angsty backstory and some male character (usually nezha, macaque, swk) can take care of him.

(also theres just a great deal of ethnocentrism in the lmk fanbase? like im white so take what İ say here with a grain of salt but so many people will misconstrue aspects of chinese culture for their own personal hcs. people will say male characters are transfem or nonbinary while completely ignoring the time period/culture their from where thats the norm. like yippee youve implied that an east asian man is feminine/emasculine because he has long hair. how do you not see the negative connotations with this. people also turn pif (& lbd to an extent) into a dragon lady which obviously has negative racial connotations lol.)

Ive read headcanon posts about characters with ASPD like Jeff or Toby and its just straight ableism and I would rather they just didnt mention the label at all.

You can separate a label from character traits.... Its ok..... You dont needa say they have a certain disorder or disability just cuz they act a certain way......

Also it goes into the whole "This person is weird but its ok cuz they have autism" or something but what if they did the exact same shit and didnt have autism? Would you insult them for being weird? regarding the whole shelter thing etc, it sounds to me like they didn't have a lot of people interested in that dog (except for you at the start) and were keeping quiet on the whole reactivity thing just so the dog would be adopted, but as soon as someone more "professional/experienced" came along, they wanted to sound like they cared about the dog's best interest and stuff. idk, i might be wrong, probably am, but the way they handled this thing is fishy af.

i hope that you get another opportunity to get the dog that you're wishing for :)

maybe, i wouldn't call myself professional or experienced tho, just dedicated at most. this would've been me and my partner's first dog of our own, and a large shepherd dog at that so i understand turning us down on based on those things especially with reactivity mixed in.

i also do want to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they want to minimize the risk of the dog needing to be rehomed again if we couldn't handle her, but on the other hand that dog has been in a shelter for almost 2 years now (like you've said it seems either no other people have shown interest in adopting her, or that they got a similar experience as we did) and if she's truly reactive to other dogs that just sounds like a terribly stressful place to be, and i wouldn't be surprised if her behavior is at least in part caused by that environment (and potentially would improve outside of it, but that's not relevant now i guess).

wanting dogs to go to homes that can safely manage and care for them is good, but imo you have to wonder at what point does choosing to keep a dog in a shelter because of the risk of rehoming alone stops being the right thing to do. i dont know if we would've choosen to take her in or not while knowing about her reactivity but i sure would've appreciated being given a chance to decide on that or at least discuss it. and i think she should've gotten that chance as well.

and in the end i dont know if there's something fishy going on, if it was just an unfortunate communication mishap from well meaning people, or if there's a more serious issue going on, but either way it definitely wasn't pleasant and a lot of it could've been avoided easily. so its pretty frustrating but the best i can do is move on from it and learn what i can from the experience i guess.

For the long answer :)

So typically (unless otherwise stated) I just use their actors height cause shits mocapped, of course the character is gonna be the same height as the actor like c'mon

For the actors that don't really have a height just ready and googleable, I just eyeball it based off the ones that Do have heights listed, like Soap (who doesn't) and Ghost, (who does [6'3"]).

Obviously there's a little wiggle room cause cameras and perspectives but holy shit, Soap is NOT 6'2". Helps that Soap's roughly the same height as Graves, and honestly you can read them as 5'9" or 5'10"

Shittily matched up the perspective against the van in the background for Alejandro and Rudy and I'd say Alejandro is between 5'11" and 6'0"
