A little about each outfit:

Sonic's was based off of Tom's old collage jacket. He found it after he and Tom were cleaning out Tom's closet. The jacket still fit Tom after all these years. Tom noticed Sonic would wear it around the house a lot when it was chilly, so he and Maddie went online and found a site where you can create custom jackets. And so they made a replica of Tom's jacket and he and Sonic wear them all them time.

Tails has a lot of fur and doesn't get cold often. He doesn't like jackets or hoodies because they feel heavy on him (though thin jackets are an acceptation), so Maddie got him a sweater to wear during the cooler weather. But she was still worried that the sweater wasn't warm enough for him. One of Maddie's coworkers at the clinic knew how to sew and knit, so Maddie asked if she could teach her how. And with a little practice, Maddie was able to knit Tails a scarf. It was a little big but Tails told her that it was made with a little extra love.

Knuckles' found his jacket when he and Wade were rummaging through yard sales. During his hunt across the galaxy, Knuckles had grown accustomed to harsh weather conditions. But Maddie still wanted him to wear something to keep him warm. So while Wade was looking at some shirts, Knuckles looked at the children's clothes and picked out the jacket. Wade asked why that jacket, when there were so many other ones to choose from, and Knuckles told him it was both red like him and purple like his beloved grapes.

Movie Amy hybrid

Ok so I watched the Knuckles series with my sis and it was…. Disappointing …but kinda fun?

Anyway, I caved. Imma gonna post this somewhat knuckles-related movie Amy AU.

So back when we didn’t know much about the Knuckles series it inspired me to come up with a possible plot for the series that spiraled into a way to introduce Amy and an old fan theory.

Context:

Sonic and Knuckles head back to their home world for some one-on-one brotherly bonding on a quest to retrieve an ancient echidna war hammer.

Sonic and knuckles have strains and awkward relationships due to their past with their guardian/tribe.

Unbeknownst to the brothers another warrior who has some history with the echidna tribe

They eventually encounter the warrior who goes by Amy Rose, daughter of Tikal and Adam Rose.

Amy is a hedgehog echidna hybrid who wants to claim the war hammer as her right, which Knuckles strongly disagrees with.

With Sonic’s help, the two warriors come to a truce; they'll work together to find the hammer, and the most worthy one will claim their prize.

OK, that’s it for now, I have more ideas for this, but I'm too tired to write it. I've been up since 3 am. to watch the Knuckles series, I'm going to bed now.😴

SONIC MOVIE 3 SPOILERS AHEAD!

Okay so we all know that Shadows survives at the end but I was thinking about if they went down the path of Shadow feeling extremely guilty for almost destroying the world and doing the opposite of what Maria wanted but I also was thinking about Shadow having strong guilt towards SONIC considering he almost made Sonic lose someone so important to him and Sonic ends up talking it out with him and helps him despite everything.

So I’m thinking about this AU where Shadow gets ambushed by GUN agents and there we see that soldier lady (who was very efficient in messing up everybody’s plans😭😭go queen, I Stan her) and he’s in a terrorgation room with no cuffs, nothing, just her and him. She approaches him saying that he wouldn’t have come willingly because he most likely would’ve thought they were ambushing him anywYs blah blah blah- we get to the point where she guilt-trips him using Maria, him almost destroying millions of innocent lives, and then she brings up Sonic and how he put aside his hatred and helped him instead and how good of person Sonic is and that Shadow didn’t deserve someone like Sonic to be good to him- that he didn’t deserve a second chance. And she does this WELL. She doesn’t yell, she’s calm and she has such a sure face that it messes with Shadow despite him trying really hard to not take everything to heart and agreeing WITH it. She says that he could EARN that second chance if he starts helping GUN because “today’s GUN isn’t the same GUN as before”. And adds,

“if not for the world, then for her.”

And THAT gets him on board, although still reluctant.

Then we can time skip into shadow having a REALLY bad time where he’s constantly switching from mission to mission to fighting in an underground illegal fighting ring because he can’t stand being at GUN’s room for him and he needs to let out his emotions. He’s in between fighting as an agent and as a bloodied fighter(he lets himself get beat bc he thinks he deserves it) and he’s seeing hallucinations of Maria but also starts to see hallucinations of Sonic and he begins to consume his mind because why??? Why help him??? Why console him? Why choose to understand him? Why did he smile at him knowing all the things he’s done? Why laugh and talk with him like they’ve known each other forever?

And he CANNOT get Sonic out of his mind. He’ll be fighting bad guys on missions and Sonic’s smile flashes or he can hear him laugh. And shadow doesn’t know how to feel about it. He barely knows the guy!!! But it doesn’t click until he gets a talk from someone in the locker room for the fighting ring where she tells him, “when someone looks at you with care even though you’ve done nothing to deserve it… it’s hard not to think about warmth after years of freezing.”

And it clicks. Sonic’s the only other warmth he’s felt besides Maria. But Sonic’s different, he isn’t someone to be like family- like Maria, it’s something else entirely and he’s so confused at the feeling. But he thinks of him anyway. And he dreams of new times with him anyway. And he’ll never plan to visit him.

Until a new foe arrives which causes the Sonic team+ Amy (so excited to see her!!)+ Shadow & GUN. Sonic and Amy are getting along fine but Sonic is just. So. Glad that Shadow is in fact alive. He introduces her, they talk about what happened but Sonic is all like “it’s all in the past, who cares??!!!!!” “Sonic, he almost killed Tom and you tried to kill him” “it’s all in the past!!!!!”

And they get to develop their relationship and Sonic’s talking about how Shadow needs to go “popular place” and needs to do “trendy cool thing” because he’s “uncultured to a horrifying degree”. They get to have teamwork, argue with each other, reconcile, laugh, bond, and it’s NOTHING like these boys have felt before. It’s so easy to share with each other but also have some sort of friendly rivalry and continue to push themselves to impress one another. It’s sportsmanship , it’s friendship, it’s romantic(tho they won’t admit it), it’s a genuine connection.

And maybe. HEAR ME OUT PLEASE. MAYBE. they have a dance scene. THIS ISNT CRAZY. THEY SHOWED SHADOW DOESNT MIND DANCING AND SONIC FUCKING LOVES IT!!!! SO!!!!!

ITS A ROMANTIC LYRICS BUT REALLY GOOD MUSIC TYPE OF SONG (think of “Ma Meilluere Ennemie” from Arcane which is SO THEM btw) BUT ANYWAYS.

I just really hope we see Shadow and Sonic become friends that everyone knows as complicated but They still Care. For one another even if they don’t want to admit it.

At the moment? I’m currently working on a Sonic Movie AU of mine! Which includes Tom and Maddie Wachowski having a baby daughter, to which they decide to name her Sadie Wachowski! So I mostly draw the shenanigans that involve Movie Sonic, Movie Tails, and Movie Knuckles interacting with a human baby! 💙🧡❤️💖

I know y’all really liked my Metal Sonic AU (Flesh and Blood), so I thought I might bring up another idea I’ve had for a while. This time based off of the movies.

There isn’t really a big twist in this one, but I’ll put a spacer for spoilers anyway.

In the second movie, we learned that the owls and echidna were at war after the owls stole the master emerald from the echidna. We also learned that the entire tribe Knuckles was from was killed, either by Longclaw or all the owls.

Longclaw says it was to protect the universe from the echidna, but it really seems like the echidna were protecting it as a sacred possession as well. Besides, they created it.

This is all to say what if Longclaw isn’t telling the truth?

I thought about an AU where Sonic was kidnapped by the owls for his power, and Longclaw is overprotective of him because she doesn’t want him to go into anyone else’s hands. The owls claim that taking Sonic and the master emerald is for the greater good, but really it’s for the benefit of the owls.

The events would play out just like in the movies for the most part, this is just what’s happening in the background.

Since this was so short, another idea I had along those lines is where Sonic had met Tails and Amy (and maybe others) before being sent to Earth. They were friends, but he didn’t see them often because Longclaw didn’t want him out in public. He’d occasionally sneak out to see them.

As time passed, Sonic forgot about them since he was much younger then. Amy always held out hope that Sonic would return someday. Tails was left to fend for himself once more, which led to a feeling of abandonment from Sonic.

Instead of Tails intentionally tracking Sonic like in the movie, he’s tracking a power source that he finds out is Sonic when they encounter each other. Tails immediately lashes out, to Sonic’s confusion. It takes a while before Sonic realizes it’s Tails, since he’s older now. The two tails are the giveaway, obviously. It takes a bit of convincing, but they eventually settle their differences and reconnect.

And then there’s all the Knuckles stuff and I didn’t really think about anything beyond that.

I think Tails is conflicted. He doesn’t resent Sonic, he’s just frustrated that he disappeared without warning. He takes it out on Sonic because he doesn’t know how else to deal with how he feels. It’s easier to blame Sonic. At the same time, he really missed Sonic, and he’s happy to find him alive. That’s why they’d probably make up pretty quickly.

Amy probably helped him out, since they both were friends with Sonic. But I don’t think the bond he had with her was the same as the one he lost with Sonic. She didn’t really get him the way Sonic did.

I think they were all probably too young to find Longclaw suspicious for being so possessive over Sonic, but they definitely found her annoying when she’d come to take Sonic home after catching him sneaking off.

I hope you like this one just like the Flesh and Blood AU. I don’t really have a name for this one. Also I’m not sure if I explained it well.

Need for Speed, a Sonic Movie AU

Where Tom was previously a race car driver + came to Green Hills to retire + figure out his life after that. And bonus early Sonic adoption.

...because we don't deserve Copganda.

it's more involved than my other AUs so more is under the cut.

OK so this Tom is basically an adaption/foil of Sam Fair AKA "Sam Speed" from the Sonic X TV show. you know. Chris Thorndyke's uncle. the police driver that uses high-speed race cars to catch criminals. Who has a rivalry with Sonic + constantly wants to race him.

And NASCAR specifically started as a way to modify cars to outrun cops to deliver moonshine, specifically because "f*ck 'em". I do not believe that Racer!Tom would have any respect for cops + passed that to Sonic. There's some respect for laws of physics and making sure what you're putting on the road is safe, but cops? Nope.

So. Tom was so interested in going fast, he left his home of Green Hills at 16, learned engineering + car repair on the job, has a career from 18-25 as a race car driver. He won big, got sponsorships, saved up all the money so he could to send it back home.

And then there was a crash. And Tom could not race anymore. He decides to go back home to Green Hills. His father and him rebuild their relationship, but soon after Tom came back, Wachowski Sr. passed away. Every single cent Tom sent to his dad is back to him now. He doesn't have to worry about a house since he inherited, and no car because Green Hills is perfectly walkable, but...what was the point in getting up in the morning if he couldn't make his Dad proud? If he couldn't race?

Tom ends up getting Ozzie as a therapy dog. Ozzie fetches his meds, does weight compresses, guards his back in public places. Taking care of Ozzie helps him get into a routine of taking care of himself again.

Tom gets more known around town, as "that car guy" or "that helpful guy". because. he's rich and he's got time to help. Even if it's just helping someone who's car broke down or blocking traffic for ducks to cross.

Maddie is the towns only Veterinarian. Maddie + Tom end up bonding over Ozzie, fall in love and get married.

Ok. So all of the above? That's set just in the background. a little outright, a little implied. Because this isn't about Tom + Maddie and their arcs.

This is a Sonic movie. We do not have time for human nonsense except the bare emotional minimum.

Sonic has his opening scene, where he's followed back home by Echidnas, and Longclaw throws him through a portal. Sonic runs, he hides, he survives by himself for some time.

But Tom likes to go on his walks. And Ozzie is always keenly aware of his surroundings while he's on the job. They hear Sonic, and try to corner him.

Normally, Sonic is fast. But this is a younger Sonic who hasn't been able to care for himself recently. And since Tom already has natural + trained reflexes from "going fast" as a race car driver...

Tom is able to scoop Sonic up while he's running and hold him. And he's like. "Ah. my kid now."

And the only other person that had been able to catch Sonic has been Longclaw. So he's like. "New parent?"

So Tom takes Sonic home. He tries to tell Maddie, but she interpreted it as "wandering child with a hedgehog." Then she sees Sonic doodling at the kitchen table, kicking his legs. And it's like, "ok. Be super proud that I'm not freaking out."

And then the hedgehog gets adopted.

Tom starts researching hedgehog care + picking up child care books + English as a second language picture books. There was one with Pokemon + Japanese that Sonic really loved. Tom explains it as "might have accidentally adopted a kid from his old job."

Sonic grows up as a Wachowski. Tom makes carts and drones so that he can "Race" Sonic safely. They keep pranking Wade at the speed trap. Sonic also "plays" with Crazy Carl and his traps. Tom and Sonic both justify this racing and training just in case Sonic has to go on the run.

Anyway. Tom gets invited to a racing conference in San Francisco. Apparently someone (Robotnik + the US Military) noticed his cars that he's been making to race Sonic + thought he was back in the racing game.

It's the first time Sonic is without Tom for an extended period + he's got separation anxiety. Tom tries to talk to Sonic about how it's going to be fine. But Sonic takes it the wrong way and goes "I have to protect Tom!" And sneaks away to keep him safe.

Something also about both Sonic and Tom losing parents and coping without them. Holding on really tight to the people they care about after that. That's the real emotional core here.

But yeah iconic external threat Robotnik time. And speed chases. Yada yada.

Also Tom grabbing an Egg Drone + taking it apart + understanding it. Kind of taking Robotnik down a peg in the "aloof standalone genius" way but also illustrating that Robotnik could connect and be happy with people AND still be a genius but he doesn't.
