I love how it was era appropriate, which you rarely see, so it was cool seeing something different. And I love how sassy and badass it was. And I just stalked her and heard her singing, which damn.

Callout Post

This is a callout post to everyone who has helped me this past couple months with my roleplays.

@asktheboywholived: the one who i first found in the rp community. it’s no surprise that they are the reason that I started rping.

@son-0f-a-snitch: this is a thank you for letting me reuse one of your old gifs. this was basically the first “collab” that i did, and it really got me going. So thank you very much Ara.

@siriusly-sly: new found friendship that i hope to keep growing on, i love you so much and you are vv talented. you are the first poc harry potter rper that i found other than myself and made me feel so much better about what I was doing.

@allthefawkesigive: el. el. EL! i love you so so so much i doubt you even realize it. you were the second one that I’ve collaborated with and I am so very happy that I reached out to you for your Teddy thread. it feels so nice to know that we can just reach out to one another for help with a thread if needed. you’re also the first person i’ve really gotten in contact with outside of tumlbr.

@pighmypuff: cate I may not know you really well, but i really appreciate all that you do with your work. you’re amazing in all you do and i think i have found my perfect Fred Weasley II. I genuinely enjoy working with you and i hope to do more with you in the future

And if huge thank you to everyone who supports what I do. I wouldn’t be here without your help! I enjoy what I’m doing and even though I might not post too much, i still do very much care about this. i look forward to a full year of rp possibilities!

I need your feedback

I’ve had an idea but I don’t know if its stupid...

You guys know those fun lil IG filters that are going round at the moment like ‘What Pokémon are you?’ and 'Which Disney Princess are you?’

Well, I thought it would be a fun idea to make a 'What HP RP Tumblr blog are you?’

Obviously I won’t be able to include every single blog in the rp community but I’ve “narrowed” it down to about 60; which includes some mutuals, some familiar faces and of course the obvious candidates. The idea was just to have the blogs’ handle and their online name where given (see below)

However, I understand that not everyone would be interested in that or feel comfortable with it, and there might be some obvious people that I forgot to add. So, I would really appreciate it if anyone who feels like they would like to be removed to let me know (my dms and ask box are always open)! Also if you think this is generally an aweful idea let me know too.

For those who look forward to this: I hope that I can get this up and running soon but turns out the more people I add the longer it takes to calculate!

Snape is an interesting character, because he has some depth (something JKR struggles with imo, but that’s a whole other conversation). However, I am not a Snape apologist and I really dislike his personality, his actions and his motives. 

10. Who was the first character you rped? Show a gif of that first time and the last time you’ve rped them.

11. Do you prefer to rp the marauders era, the lightning era or next gen?

I haven’t done lightning era yet but I think I would enjoy it. I do really like marauders era because there’s more freedom to it. Less canon. Not that canon matters that much but it would feel weird to play Ron as an utter idiot or Ginny as she was portrayed in the movies someone who’s only personality trait is liking Harry. 

12. Do you prefer to do multipart series or single part threads?

I think multipart series, bit only by a smidge. But both are fun. 

13. Which character is most difficult for you to play?

Sirius is a difficult one for me. Snape also can be. I need to be able to get in their headspace and it’s not always easy for those 2, tho for entirely different reasons. 

14. What’s the most stupid thing you’ve forgotten to do when rping a character? 

Forgotten to take off my glasses and then got too lazy to refilm and somehow worked it in or just ignored it.

15. Of  the people that also rp your favorite character to rp, which one do you like the most?

My favorite to cosplay right now is James. There are a lot of talented people in this community so i’m sure you’ll forgive me if i give you more than one name @transaurus, @son-0f-a-snitch, and @the-moon-and-stars-my-love are a few favorites. 

16. If you had to write a script for another rper, who would you like it to be?

I’m not picky so honestly ? whoever wanted me to cause collab-ing is fun. I would prefer working on a thread with someone over writing the whole thing for them tho.

Hey!

Sorry I didn’t give a response on @son-0f-a-snitch but I’m on holiday and don’t have access to the blog... I also promised Lucy that I would have a social media cleanse and give her my full attention while we are away since I’m always on my phone.

It is as the love of my life looks scornfully at me over her margarita that I write this response to you now. My sex life will suffer. Appreciate that.

BUT this is really important. Personally I thought the article was basically a good idea? I was one of the RPers TT discussed this with earlier on. I voiced my worries that this is an LGBTQ safe space? However also that the bubble around the community had been popping for years due to the community’s growth. My vote in favour of the article was also ever so slightly selfishly motivated because I liked the idea of the exposure? Especially as I prepare to film and release my first ever original series to this audience.

So yeah that’s what I thought? I would just like to highlight for a moment though what @asktheboywholived in particular has just given up for the people in this community? TT is attempting to turn their RP in to a career. An article like this would have progressed that career expanentionally; it would have been so so easy for them to go ahead with it for those reasons.

But they didn’t. They rejected that opportunity for themselves because of how much they care for this community, and the people in it. They put you guys first. And the way they have been treated since this article went public is atrocious. On numerous occasions I have seen people bashing both TT and Jess? flooding the community they claim is a ‘safe space’ with hatred and negativity. It’s hipocracy like I’ve never seen in this community before and it’s made me so angry.

There are people behind those screens. Really wonderful people. And those wonderful people are my friends. Have a little consideration for that before you voice your anger.
