there was presumably a time when all of the bishops actually liked each other, at which point i can only assume the three brothers were peak 'boys will be boys' [derogatory]
shamura choosing not to add the red, green, and blue crowns to the kill count is a sign of love

Headcanons Series: The Zoldyck children and their sibling dynamics. Part 1 - Illumi
Togashi has already given us this image
Which gives us an insight into how some of the Zoldycks relate to one another. But it doesn't give us much depth or detail to really sink our teeth into. In fact, according to this most of the siblings have no relationships to each other at all!
So, I'm going to post a series of my own headcanons about how the Zoldyck children are most likely to interact with/view each other and what their early interactions might have looked like too. These are not explicitly canon but are based mostly off what we've seen in the various anime and manga, plus some little bits of inspiration here and there from fanfic/fanart I've enjoyed along the way. I'll make a new post for each child, looking from their POV at the relationships they have with each sibling from eldest to youngest.
Illumi
Milluki - I feel these two probably have the most "normal" sibling dynamic of the Zoldyck children. I don't think they particularly like each other or have much in common but they're old enough to tolerate each other and work together in a give/take way when needed. In the current timeline, I feel Illumi probably views Milluki as "fat and lazy" and "lacking the discipline needed to be a great assassin."
As children however, Illumi would have been young when Milluki was born. He probably wasn't responsible for raising/training Milluki the way he would be with his other siblings. He therefore, probably doesn't think of Milluki as his responsibility as much as he does the other kids (hence why I think they have the most normal sibling dynamic). I can easily imagine that when Milluki was born, little Illumi would have been jealous of his new brother. Before Milluki there was ONLY Illumi, and I can imagine he would have struggled to adjust to suddenly having to share his parents attention (even if it was negative attention in the form of brutal training) and probably made it his goal to be better than Milluki at everything. Aggressively so, to the point that now, the two are still nothing alike and Illumi still, as an adult, looks down on Milluki as the "disappointment" compared to the rest of his family though he probably doesn't even realise why or where that need to be better than Milluki comes from.
Killua - We know the most about this one, so I'll try to keep it short! Illumi feels VERY protective of Killua. We know he was like a second father to Killua, training him and spending lots of time raising him. Illumi's parents clearly value Killua the most of all their children. And given that Illumi is so desperate to impress/please his parents and looks up to them as his idols, he follows whatever beliefs they hold without question. They say Killua is the most special golden boy? Must be true. And therefore, Illumi must prove himself by being the very best trainer/mentor/guardian/protector Killua could ever have! No matter the cost! With the age gap between Illumi and Killua being much bigger than between him and Milluki, Illumi had some time to mature a bit and so felt more secure and less jealous of Killua taking his parents attention away than he did with Milluki. At some point, I think Illumi even grew a genuine soft spot for Killua. Illumi appreciated that Killua was inquisitive and eager to learn, he learned quickly too, but most notably, Killua was and still is stubborn and sassy. Sometimes this could be annoying, but mostly I imagine Illumi secretly enjoyed Killua's cheeky side (Neither he nor Milluki had ever dared be rude to the butlers or worse their parents, so Killua's nerve was fascinating). Prior to Killua learning nen, the power difference between the two meant that even if Killua did cross a line it was easy for Illumi to put him in his place, so he maybe allowed a little more than he should've just because he enjoyed the novelty of Killua's attitude (bonus headcanon - younger Illumi and Killua teaming up to prank Milluki as part of Killua's "stealth training" ). Things are much sadder now from Illumi's POV. Killua is terrified of Illumi. And seemingly, hates him and wants nothing more than get away from him. When Gon said that line about Illumi not being qualified to be Killua's brother? Yeah. Illumi played it cool, but that HURT. Illumi wants Killua to be safe, more than anything and is no doubt worried about him all the time he's away from home doing God knows what. The needle he used on Killua was harsh and nasty but it was done out of (twisted) love and an attempt to protect his little brother. (That was not short! I have a lot of feelings about Illumi!!!)
Alluka - Again, Illumi believes his parents word to be gospel on this one. Not a single original thought in his head regarding her at all. He was told she wasn't human. Believes that and so doesn't treat or view her as a person. Makes no attempt to bond with her like he did with Killua, studied her and experimented with her when her powers and the limits/consequences weren't entirely clear. Just like his parents, he doesn't fully understand her abilities/underlying humanity and fears her (and he rarely fears anything). He shuns her and allows her to be locked away. He even tries to kill her to protect Killua (and a lot of other people including himself, but mostly Killua) from the fallout of her powers. Now he does know all the rules/conditions of her ability he wants to be able to use it and control it for himself (her ability - again he has no attachment to her whatsoever) but knows Killua is protecting her and Illumi won't act against Killua (not his favourite sibling!) So he's likely just busying himself with other things for now.
Kalluto - Once again, Illumi is the 3rd parent to this sibling! And though Kalluto isn't as sassy/entertaining or spirited as Killua was, Illumi has a soft spot for Kalluto too. He sees Kalluto is much more quiet, serious and obedient and doesn't need much babysitting compared to Killua. I actually think Illumi sees a lot of himself in Kalluto so he's quite protective and fond of him (maybe even a little bit affectionate??) In Illumi's mind Kalluto is Baby, and probably always will be even when he's an adult!

An Explorers!Hero who has late night discussions with Partner about their opinions on some things. They are still learning how to be a Pokémon, what being a human meant, and dealing with this jumble of memories they have sometimes. It’s small things that come to them.
Team does a babysitting “request” (were begged) for the oldest sibling of like twelve just so the eldest kid can sleep—heard someone in the guild comment how the Team basically got a free day and did the work for free. Oldest should have stepped up. Later on, Hero is silently fuming until Partner asks what’s wrong—“The worst part about being a teenager, and the eldest, is that you have the responsibilities of an adult while still being treated like a kid. You are expected to be the perfect example, to always be willing to watch the younger siblings. Yeah, the eldest should try to lead by example. But they also shouldn’t be the second or third parent all the time. Everyone needs time yo decompress.”
Someone complained that Partner did most of the talking for Hero while they just stood silent by the side—“Half the time I have too many thoughts in my head to say what I mean. The other half I am judging the current mood and trying to phrase my words in a way that won’t cause more of a fuss. Every first impression always paints you in a specific way.”
After the Perfect Apple Incident:
Hero didn’t say a single thing after being reprimanded by Chatot for failing the assignment. They only speak up once after Skuntank presents the lone perfect apple—“You must love to eat Perfect Apples like Guildmaster Wigglytuff if you happen to have a spare one now of all times.” They rarely ever address Chatot outside the bare minimum after this—always defaulting to a formal “yes, sir” “no, sir” in a completely neutral tone. Keeps their face as blank as the possibly can… Never directly toeing the line of any insubordination.
Now, the Hero might have just been as annoyed as the Partner about the ninety percent cut from any monetary rewards. (It was no secret they kept a log thoroughly tracking any Poke and rewards received from every request.) But for two whole weeks(?), gone are the days of Hero analyzing the guildmembers biological skills and strengths. Gone are the hellos, good morning, could you give us advice about *insert problem encountered on last dungeon crawl*, to Chatot.
Those nighttime discussions with the Partner had evolved into self-critiquing after dinner which included the other apprentices.
this is just me as explorers!hero
but yes, random tidbits of memories and emotions from their past crop up in interesting ways and they like to talk about it with partner late at night cuz it helps them out with sorting their thoughts and partner is interested in hearing all about it
and 100% to the sort of silent treatment they'd give to chatot after the perfect apple incident

I'd like to know more about Oliver (the youngest omega of the first litter I think). I want to know how neglected he is by his father. I need that sweet sweet angst.
So I think it's time I give an official fancast for the first litter so drumroll please...
James. First born, alpha.
Rather strict and serious with his younger siblings, he's trying to copy Logan the most with his gruff behavior but he's much more bossy and he doesn't appreciate the competition. He wants to be the main alpha of the pack after their father gets too old so bad it tends to alienate him from the others, they view him more like a self-made general than their loving brother.
Jacob. Second born, alpha.
He's in close competition with his older brother for the title of alpha of the family after Logan; but unlike him, he's much more caring for his younger siblings. He's still strict and most often cold, but he watches over the younger ones protectively and he's not easily angered (but annoyed definitely) like Logan. He's more cool and calm and someone safe for any of his siblings to talk to, he's been dubbed the "shepherd" or the "mother hen" of the litters often.
Matt. Third born, alpha.
While strong and eager to compete whenever with his brothers, he's much more chill and laid back about it. Being leader of the pack sounds like too much responsibility for him so he lets the older two fight over the title while he has more fun just wrestling and doing team work and goofing about; sometimes his jokes are more mean than funny though and he got that from his mother.
Travis. Fourth born, omega.
The notorious clone of their mother (at least in personality); he's a witty cruel diva that loves to tease and sleep around and he gets knocked up pretty early on by an older alpha he seduces but not unlike Donald, he has no shame about it. He's strong and capable, a true gem to have on your team in a fight, he's more than worthy to stand beside his alpha brothers but he tends to fight dirty too. He's the not so secret favorite of Logan's from this litter if not from all and despite Travis' constant mischief and overstepping of rules (bringing home different alphas and birthing litters from them left and right) you'll not find him mocked easily.
Theo. Fifth born, alpha.
The always smiling Labrador of the litter, he brings a constant good energy and non-threatening aura which is handy when his brothers try to tear each other apart for dominance. He loves to wrestle and play fight, don't get him wrong he's strong as fuck, but he's more of a let's work together and all get along guys :)) kind of person. He's happy to be Robin's cuddly bear when Robin's in one of his infamous states even though Robin's usually seeks out Logan or the two eldest of his brothers who are much more similar to their father; Matt doesn't mind, he's just happy to help anyone in need.
Robin. Sixth born, omega.
I'm gonna get into him more because the ask was actually about him lol
Dubbed the "crybaby" of the family by Travis, and with good reason as well; Robin gets frustrated just as easily as Logan but instead of wrecking everything around him and screaming he just breaks down into tears, unable to hold in his emotions. Travis nags him for being such a little baby and he's often left out of his brothers' training because he hates to lose and losing for him comes with tears. Robin desperately longs back for the time when his father would pick him up the moment he got tears in his eyes and tell him softly it's all alright baby no one's gonna hurt you, good boy, daddy loves you so much-, but Logan is too busy now training his growing litters and he doesn't have time to kiss him better. Robin also has an ongoing feud over Logan's love with Travis, having how even though Travis breaks the rules constantly and acts like a slut Logan still forgives him everything, meanwhile Robin has been nothing but perfectly proper and modest as they were growing up, never sneaking off in the night and meeting with strange alphas and coming back home with an unexpected pregnancy. No, Robin's been the virgin delight good boy in the litter but something happened that finally flipped his switch and sent him stumbling over the edge.
The Pierce-Howlett family located themselves deep in the woods at a remote area of North-Dakota; it became clear quite early on that raising a family of feral mini Wolverine mutants was not going to be easy in a typical town or suburb so they isolated their family for their own safety, Logan and Donald occasionally heading into the nearest small town for food or supplies or work and only taking a few of their kids with themselves on these trips; those that could behave and there wouldn't be any incidents. This is how Robin met Rahul, who worked at the bakery in town; Rahul would always give him free pastries when Robin was doing errands buying bread for the family while mommy daddy and the others all spread out buying other things and o course Robin got smitten extremely fast with the handsome gentle older alpha; he never really talked to any other alpha outside from his family, Logan keeping a tight leash over them, especially the omegas, with how Travis behaved.
Anyway, Rahul was kind, sweet, and when Robin was in his teens he even asked him out to bookshop or Cafe dates, gently courting him in secret, but Robin only ever got to the point where they kissed before he ran away, afraid what his father might say. He didn't go back to town for weeks and in that time Rahul packed up and left for doing an MA in a prestigious university, and that broke little Robin's heart. For a long time he was more shut in, crying his eyes out daily, and Travis mocked him so much for whining over an alpha he didn't even fuck, that Robin jumped on him, starting to beat Travis up in a very unlikely manner of his, screaming and scratching like a feral kitten until Logan pulled them apart and gave a very firm "I'm disappointed in you," to Robin, who broke down from that rejection and ran off that night. He only came back months later, first setting out to find Rahul but then being overwhelmed by disappointing their father and Travis' mean words he ended up in the wrong crowd, attracting toxic alphas who were all too eager to take advantage of his vulnerable state. Robin, like Travis before, returned home pregnant from an unknown alpha, but he was sad and broken, and nothing felt better than Logan's attention at that moment. Robin was in an edgy, sad state for the better part of two years before Rahul returned to the town and saw Robin with his babies. Robin was terrified of what he might think of him now, so he acted like he didn't care for Rahul anymore, but Rahul felt responsible for Robin's sadness and still loved him dearly. Cut to Rahul doing his best to court Robin again, gladly taking responsibility for Robin's first fatherless litter, and while it takes time, Robin learns to trust him again and they soon get mated and married with more litters to come :)
#i love a rollercoaster character ark - epic highs and lows but you know imma make it end on a good fluffy note :)))#and here they are the complete first litter! congrats to logan and donald :)#robin pierce-howlett#travis pierce-howlett#ask rambles#logan x donald#pierce-howlett litter

Karai’s Relationship with her brothers and Father
Miwa and Leo - Karai and Leo are close because of Leo’s belief in her when they first met. No matter how many times Karai messed up, Leo never gave up on her and is usually the first one to help her. I can imagine the two bickering a lot just like Raph and Leo because of how different they are. Leo is responsible and a goodie-three-toes, but Karai is free-spirited and rebellious. Also, I can see Leo trying to use the leader and big brother tone he would use on his younger brothers after they did something stupid and though it might sometimes work for them, it will not work on Karai. She is a leader too and technically the true eldest sibling, so no matter how many times Leo tries to get Karai to follow his orders, he always ends up being the one who submits…mostly because of his fear of her. Despite that though, they do make a good team, always have each other's backs no matter what, always support one another and always compete against each other (Karai always wins) for fun.
Miwa and Raph - Karai and Raph are very similar because of that they argue the most. With them, the only way they communicate is through fists. Whenever they are frustrated or angry and just do not want to talk, they usually go to each other to fight it out until they are a panting and sweaty mess. After that, if they feel like it, they will vent to each other about their problems because they know that neither of them will judge or lecture or tell anyone else. Raph and Karai have a good relationship though they like to get on each other’s nerves. Karai likes to tease and mock Raph and Raph likes doing the same to her. They are also very competitive towards each other.
Miwa and Donnie - I can see Karai watching curiously in Donnie’s lab next to Mikey and teasing him about his crush on April which Donnie finds very annoying while Mikey finds it funny. They like to throw snarky and sarcastic comments at each other. Karai, always needing something to do, one day asks Donnie if she could help in his lab in some way, though hesitant Donnie agreed. The two always ended up having long conversations as they worked, (mostly about Donnie’s crush on April) and it made them grow closer as siblings. I also imagine Donnie scolded Karai when she comes home with an injury and gets annoyed when she keeps insisting that she is fine. Donnie basically has to drag her into his lab to get patched up and looked over to make sure nothing serious was wrong.
Miwa and Mikey - I would like to think of Karai and Mikey as the second half of their mother. Karai was the fierce side of her mother while Mikey was the sweet side. Because of this I think it is easier for them to bond. I can see them pulling pranks together, Karai standing up for Mikey when their brothers pick on him, and Mikey always having her back. I do not think Karai would get easily annoyed with Mikey like everyone else and Mikey would never hold any grudges towards her. I can imagine the two of them talking the most about the mother they wished they had but never knew. Though, Karai is not very affectionate and does not like to show emotions, she comforts Mikey when he is scared or upset and is very protective of him, probably more so than his brothers and that was saying something.
Miwa and Splinter - The two were alike in a lot of ways and though their relationship started off in an awkward and rocky start the two became very close, even more close than Splinter is with Leo. Splinter becomes more of a father towards Karai and though it annoys her sometimes, she was very happy to have a real father for a change. I can see Splinter sitting by Karai’s bedside while telling her stories about him and her mother when they were younger. I can also see them arguing over dumb stuff since Karai was still not used to living under a house with actual rules, but she supposes it is better than always having to watch your back in case a Foot decided to attack. Splinter also helps Karai with her trauma any way he can and trains her to become a greater Master than even he and not a weapon like how Shredder trained her to be.

Mirages- Creepypasta
When Wendy was 12 years old, her nights were a nightmare. As soon as her bedroom door closed and she settled in with her younger brother Carlos to sleep, it all began.
There always seemed to be a shadow in the corner, right next to the mirror on the dresser, as soon as the lights went out.
Unable to explain it, she started covering the mirror and the corner with objects to block the view. But the feeling that something was there never went away.
She tried to convince her parents to switch rooms with her younger sister, Monica, who was a year younger. However, Monica and Wendy rarely got along. Constant arguments over borrowing each other's clothes, combined with the usual sibling conflicts, had led their parents to separate them into teams: Wendy with Carlos, and Monica with Ronald, the second eldest child.
"You need to be a good sister," her parents would say, dismissing her request as mere whimsy.
The situation worsened when Carlos began complaining that Wendy was bothering him at night. He claimed she would enter the room, wake him up, and talk to him—things Wendy knew she hadn’t done. Sometimes, she wasn’t even home, yet Carlos would still accuse her. Her parents believed Carlos, and Wendy faced scolding after scolding.
Months later, her parents decided to build her a room of her own, thinking her "problematic attitude" might stem from a need for privacy.
One night, after moving into her new room, Wendy woke up with a deep thirst. She sleepily walked to the kitchen, turning on the hallway lights. No one else was awake, and she tried to move quietly to avoid disturbing her family.
While filling a glass of water, something made her pause. She rubbed her eyes, confused, as she saw Monica entering the kitchen. She hadn’t heard any footsteps on the stairs but assumed Monica was also thirsty.
“Couldn’t sleep either, Mony?” Wendy asked in a drowsy voice.
But she froze as she got a better look at the figure in front of her. The blood seemed to pool in her chest, her sleep vanishing instantly.
It was herself.
The figure was her exact height, had her same hair, her same pajamas—even her same face. But something was wrong. Its eyes were hollow, like a poorly printed copy.
The "other Wendy" smiled, a wide and strained grin that looked forced, before stepping toward her.
Fear rooted her in place. She wanted to scream, but the sound caught in her throat. Finally, she regained control of her legs and bolted out of the kitchen, letting the glass drop to the floor. The sound of shattering glass didn’t stop her. As she ran, the lights she had left on flickered out one by one, even though the switches remained in their original positions.
In complete darkness, she collided with the hallway mirror, knocking it to the floor, where it shattered. She leaned against her parents' bedroom door, pounding on it desperately.
“There’s something in the kitchen! It looks just like me!” she screamed, waking them up.
Her father got up cautiously, while her mother tried to calm her down. A few tense moments passed before he returned, looking annoyed and tired.
“Wendy, stop making things up. There’s nothing there. Go back to sleep.”
She returned to her room, feeling like a liar, unable to convince anyone. But she knew what she had seen. It wasn’t a dream.
The shadows didn’t leave her alone after that night. Her sister Monica, initially skeptical, began noticing the change in Wendy and moved into her room to keep her company. Nights were calmer with her presence, and little by little, Wendy’s fears seemed to subside.
However, on the last night of summer, everything changed.
Wendy and Monica had decided to spend the evening watching movies before Monica and Carlos traveled with their mother to visit their grandmother in Nuevo León. They were watching a film about a curse and a mummy when something strange happened.
A silhouette blocked the hallway light.
When they turned toward the door, they saw Carlos peeking in. He had a blanket draped over him and was laughing.
“What’s up, Carlos?” Wendy asked, confused.
Carlos stepped into the room, moving slowly toward them. He stood by the bed and bent down, playing with their blankets, trying to pull them off.
“Stop it, Carlos. Come sit and watch the movie,” Monica said, slightly annoyed.
But Carlos ignored her and kept tugging at the blankets.
“Carlos, cut it out!” Wendy shouted. She got up, irritated, to pull the blanket away from him.
As she approached, Carlos grabbed her hand. His grip was cold and firm. Wendy tried to pull away, confused, and when she looked closely at him, she noticed the hollow eyes.
The blanket slipped off, and Wendy stepped back, a chill running down her spine. It wasn’t Carlos.
“Carlos? Are you okay? Are you feeling sick?” Monica asked, approaching him.
Then, a shadow blocked the door. Both girls turned, expecting to see Ronald. But it wasn’t Ronald.
It was Carlos.
“Why are you talking to me so much?” he asked from the doorway, holding a tablet in his hand.
The real Carlos dropped his tablet to the floor when he saw the double still holding Wendy’s hand.
Both sisters screamed simultaneously. The false figure smiled, just like the "other Wendy" had that night in the kitchen.
Before Wendy could react, her wrist was twisted with a loud snap. The pain was excruciating, and she let out a piercing scream. Before she or Monica could flee, they were both hurled violently against the headboard of the bed. The impact shook the furniture and left them dazed.
The bedroom door slammed shut, and the lights went out instantly. On the other side, their parents pounded on the door in desperation, trying to open it.
Carlos ran to the door from inside, trying to unlock it, but suddenly felt something cold and strange brush his face: a hand with long claws and a texture like feathers.
The boy screamed, trying to pull away, but the force holding him was inhuman. He was dragged toward the mirror with terrifying speed.
The light flickered for an instant, enough for Wendy and Monica to see what was happening. Emerging from the mirror was a grotesque figure: it had the body of a woman, but its face was a blend of a bird and a predator. Sharp black feathers covered parts of its skin, and its twisted snout ended in jagged teeth that glinted in the dim light.
The creature was pulling Carlos, dragging him into the mirror as if it were liquid.
“Carlos!” Monica screamed, lunging toward him.
She managed to grab one of his feet and pulled with all her strength, but the creature didn’t relent. Inch by inch, Carlos was being swallowed, his screams fading as he crossed the mirror’s threshold.
Wendy, her arm broken, crawled over to help. With her good hand, she tried to grab his other leg, but just as she touched him, the creature’s claw emerged again.
This time, it grabbed Monica by the hair. It lifted her with inhuman strength and smashed her against the mirror. The glass shattered into countless shards that flew in every direction. Razor-sharp fragments sliced Wendy’s face as she screamed helplessly.
Monica fell to the floor in a pool of blood. One of the largest shards had lodged in her neck, and her body went still within seconds.
The mirror, now in pieces, seemed to lose its life. Carlos’s screams faded away, leaving behind an eerie silence.
Finally, the bedroom door burst open, and their parents rushed in.
“Oh my God!” their mother screamed, covering her face at the sight of Monica on the floor.
The father, in shock, frantically searched for Carlos, but there was no sign of him.
Wendy, sobbing and covered in cuts, tried to explain what had happened. Her voice was a broken mess of fragmented words:
“It… it was a thing! It came out of the mirror! It took Carlos!”
But her parents, horrified and confused, could only stare at the blood, the shattered glass, and Wendy’s wide, tear-filled eyes as she repeated through sobs:
“It took him! It took him!”

i’m a little late but if you’re still looking for fluff requests maybe gn reader during a slow day at the bau where everyone is crammed in the conference room sharing food, watching videos of henry and jack, teasing each other, etc and reader either makes and offhand comment or blurts out how the bau are a family unit and everyone pauses for a second because (even though they all see each other as family) nobody has ever really verbalised it like that
Family (BAU X gn!reader)
Warnings: None other than this hasn't been proof read so could be horrendous
Word Count: 528 ish
It had been a slow week, not that you were complaining, You had all piled into the conference room with your paperwork, promising Hotch that you wouldn’t get too distracted. He had reluctantly agreed (God he felt like such a dad to the team sometimes). With the whole gang piled into a room you, naturally, got extremely distracted and within forty-five minutes, Garcia had made hot chocolate and pop corn whilst Morgan and Emily fought over what movie to watch. Hotch and JJ had already shown at least five videos of Henry and Jack each,
“Oi, I’ll give you five pieces of popcorn for three squares of your chocolate,” You whisper to Spencer, who thinks for a minute before nodding, you quickly make the switch, the pair of you ducking your heads when you find Morgan and Emily grinning at the exchange to the left of you you. In response, you throw a pen in their direction (which, unfortunately, means you won’t be able to do any more of your report just yet… shame...). They were about to retaliate but a look from Hotch stops them short.
“I love that this unit is basically a family unit,” You blurt before you realise you’re thinking it, the words are already out of your mouth and spoken into the universe.
“You’re right, Kid,” Morgan grinned, patting your shoulder slightly. “I guess I never really thought about it too much,” You ducked your head slightly, fiddling with the tips of the paper of the file you were going through.
‘Fuck, (Y/N) way to show your age,’ You thought.
“I’m so glad it’s finally been said!” Penelope exclaimed, “Honestly, I was starting to think you guys were emotionally constipated or something,” You snorted. “So, (Y/N), if this is a family unit, what roles do we all have?”
“Oh, er, I- I don’t know, honestly,”
“Bitch please,” Garcia said dramatically, you both let out a snicker.
“Okay, fine, but this stays between us and if anyone mentions it, I will beat you up,” You joke, “Hotch definitely has dad vibes, Rossi is definitely like an uncle, yourself is a crazy aunt, Derek is obviously the overprotective elder brother - the eldest son who should know better and keep the others safe, Emily is the middle child that likes annoying the shit out of the eldest, Reid is one of the younger siblings that must be protected at all times, JJ is the mum,”
“And you, my dear,” Garcia said, pointing a fuzzy pen in your direction, “Are the youngest sibling that is too adorable,”
“Oh stop, you’ll make me blush here in public,” You said dramatically.
“Why am I the second eldest that annoys the eldest?”
“Is that not obvious?” Morgan smirked.
You all continued to laugh and joke around until Hotch had to leave to attend a meeting.
“Right, kids, you all need to finish your homework and be in bed by ten,” Hotch said in a (mock) stern tone before leaving the room.
“You heard your father,” JJ said, following Hotch out of the room. You let out a loud wheeze. Not to sound cheesy, but you loved your family.

A-Z for the oc asks (:
Help okay this is going to be so long it is under a cut.
A. Annoying: What is your OC’s most annoying trait?
Sandrone
Always monotone. Which, as his creator, I'm legally obligated to say I speak exactly like him about 80% of the time. Very dull, monotone, steady at all times. It's annoying! Or at least, I've been told. So, yeah. That.
Ohm
Puts his work first always. Those who know him only know a small smidge of the work he does and it would seem like there's no way in hell he has SO much work regarding that one section. But yeah, he's a workaholic who does just.. a lot.. behind the scenes.
B. Best: What is your OC’s best personality trait?
Sandrone
He's very observant! He can be dense regarding romantic stuff of course, but other things he's hella in the know. Sulien remembers or notices everything somebody he cares about says or does regarding things they like. So yes, he will always have your favourite takeout and snack ready before you even realise how sad you actually are. He knows.
Ohm
Like youngest like eldest I suppose. Ohm is also incredibly observant. Ohm is a bit more annoying with it because he will know you're injured even if you try to hide it. But beyond that, he's like a dog. You're sad? Cool let's go do something! Literally contradicts his above annoying trait but I mean, Ohm is weird as hell, he manages too many two faced traits. Anyways have a lollipop.
C. Child: Your OC encounters a crying, lost child. How do they react?
Sandrone
Ooh.. He's confused.. Sulien doesn't do well with people crying in general, let alone kids. He's had some practice with Tartaglia's little siblings, but that's not very much. He's kind of a yk criminal, so he'll probably bring the kid to the nearest location that looks like it'll be able to help them find their parents. He won't stick around for all that long, he's so awkward.
Ohm
He is on a fucking mission. Ohm is a doctor, he's a very good doctor, he's crouched down talking calmly within seconds. Always has lollipops on hand for this, and for himself, but mostly this. The kid's hand is in his while they're chewing away happily within moments. Then he'll find the parents, and they WILL get scolded on losing their child. Captain Ohm is not pleased ):<
D. Desire: Your OC has the opportunity to get the thing they desire most, but it means betraying a friend. Do they do it?
Sandrone
Yes. He does. A natural infiltrator, Sulien is known as a betrayer for a reason. Merely a job for the most part, a business transaction if you will. All relationships can be sacrificed in exchange of Freedom. He doesn't care. Sulien is tired, he has few friends as is, sometimes people need to go.
Ohm
No. Because betraying a friend for what he desires means to throw away everything he's ever signed his own life away for. Ohm can't do that, no matter how much he craves Death or Peace. One is obtainable if he makes a mistake and the other is unobtainable. He'll get there in the end without betraying somebody.
E. Excellent: Which of your OCs is the most virtuous?
This one will surprise people who don't as intimately know their stories. I mean come on, you have the Medical Captain of the Knights of Favonius vs a Fatui Harbinger, right? And yet, Sandrone is the more virtuous. Curious, isn't it?
F. Forgive: How good is your OC at apologizing? Do they own up to it when they’ve made a mistake? How easily does your OC forgive other people?
Sandrone
He's so condescending without meaning to be.. Mostly because the times he's apologised, it's been while arresting or killing somebody and he's saying sorry for betraying them. He makes an effort once he's realised he's hurt somebody he cares about, stumbles over his words, but he'll try. He always owns up to mistakes though, especially since he makes so few and he needs to be a good impression to his subordinates so THEY don't make any mistakes. It would depend on what they've done to him. He doesn't forgive nor does he forget sometimes.
Ohm
Very good! He's a fantastic liar :D! Ohm knows that sometimes to appease people, you have to do what you must, and he's a king with words for a reason. Another one who leads people and needs to show up as a good leader, Ohm always owns up to his mistakes. There are though.. Some things... In his personal life that he's only ever told two.. maybe three people.. Those mistakes.. They run so deep. Hurt too much. Ohm may be a very forgiving person, but he never forgets. Never.
G. Guilt: Does your OC often regret their decisions? If so, describe a decision they regret.
Sandrone
Conditioned to not feel, he ignores things like regret or guilt. He isn't programmed to feel them. He can't afford to. So it isn't often that he'll regret a decision. But when he does, he thinks about it forever. What he could have done better, what would have changed the outcome, he's supposed to be the best in his field at analyzing any given situation and yet.. Sulien just thinks too much sometimes.
Ohm
A lot of the things he has done he regrets, even if he deems them necessary to choices to make. I suppose Ohm is interesting like that, outwardly, he keeps going, keeps pushing forwards. Inwardly, it's a constant blizzard of guilt. I've always likened Ohm to a man damned, so his feelings about his decisions and the guilt he feels when he makes a bad one definitely fits into that.
H. Honesty: How often does your OC lie? Do they believe lying is ever justified? Describe a time your OC told a lie, or told the truth even when it was difficult.
Sandrone
His job is to lie. Head of Reconnaissance for the Tsaritsa, the puppet's function is to infiltrate what he needs to in order to gain the information he needs. Always adaptable, moldable, he's a liar at any given time. Even if he'd rather tell the truth, he never does, in Her name everything was justified. To tell a time he lied would be just looking at his work history. To tell a time he told the truth even when it hurt, would be more interesting. To compromise; in /almost/ all of his voicelines, he's actually telling the truth. Try and figure which are actually the lies..
Ohm
Ohm is clever, cunning, his personality handcrafted, perfectly put together piece by piece. Unlike his younger brother, Ohm is a natural liar. It comes easy to him, every honeyed word spoken from a tongue of silver. He has sins to hide and karma to beat back, if that means lying? Well. So be it. His most obvious lie that's revealed throughout his story quests would be that he's almost never on expedition to a nation for medicinal supplies, but rather he was infiltrating Snezhnaya to try and find his brother. A lie very few people knew the truth of, most notable being Varka, who gave his approval. Some hard truths are better off buried for Ohm Ambros.
I. Individuality: Is your OC’s morality more influenced by the society they live in, or their own critical thinking?
Sandrone
I mean... I'll just be honest, Sulien got tortured into utter compliance by way of forcing him to forget everything he ever knew. He's smart as hell, but if he has no frame of reference, then yeah... It's influenced by the people around him, his environment. Sulien is getting better about it though.
Ohm
His moral code is a roulette wheel and he's not sure where the bullet is. But hey, it's fine. Literally, I have nothing else to add. Ohm kills people, like, straight up disposes. But he's also a very nice man, so..
J. Jealousy: How often does your OC get jealous of other people? Do they keep their jealousy in check, or does it influence their behavior?
Both of them aren't very jealous people, one because Sandrone doesn't even fucking know he's jealous. And two, Ohm is just kinda dense unless someone is like.. uncomfortable, then he'll notice.
K. Knack: What is something your OC is skilled at?
Sandrone
Sulien's skill that I like to talk about the most is the fact he personally repairs his mask(and other things) with Kintsugi! It requires a lot of patience and technique and he is very good at it. Takes him forever though ngl.
Ohm
He loves his origami. He's very talented with it and can make pretty much anything. A lot of stuff he can do either one handed or without looking, but the more complex stuff he actually needs to concentrate on. He has a nasty habit of folding his briefing papers into cool little pieces.
L. Loathe: What qualities does your OC loathe in other people? Do they tend to be judgmental of others, even when it isn’t warranted?
Sandrone
He doesn't like super whiny people. It's just a personal pet peeve of his, he'd rather not. Like the whole high pitch "hmf!' kind of whiny? Yeah. Despises it. Otherwise Sulien isn't very judgemental! He's pretty respectful in general.
Ohm
Lmao Ohm is a hypocrite. He dislikes people who are reckless and put others in danger. He'll willingly put himself in danger, but not his team, which is the only real difference. It's weird, he's best friends with Kaeya and yet- ahem anyways. Call it the Doctor Vibe or w/e.
M. Mistake: Describe a time your OC did something bad, or was wrong about something.
Sandrone
War Criminal! Congratulations! He was behind the scenes making sure the sigils of permission were done correctly. I mean, he's a war criminal in general though. Personally, good dude. His work? Mm.. He's done things!
Ohm
I can't even be like "this dude killed two people when he was fourteen! that's bad!!" cause it was sort of warranted. I think, to Ohm, his biggest mistake would be "failing his parents' one task to him" which was to protect Sulien. And he failed to do that and lost Sulien for pretty much eleven years. It haunts him constantly.
N. Negative: What does your OC believe is their worst flaw?
Sandrone
Sulien has a bit of a thing where he hates how emotional he can get. He's been equated to machine so often that when he feels, he doesn't feel real. He dissociates and he hates that feeling. To him, it is his worst flaw. The puppet being emotional? What's the point? But he also doesn't know how to express his emotions in a healthy way, and I think it makes it all that much worse when he feels so strongly sometimes.
Ohm
Somebody who has a low outlook on themselves, there is very little Ohm likes. Though his inability to feel like he belongs or perhaps the karma attached to him would be the worst ones. To be haunted by demons, among other things, it is utterly ridiculous to him. And yet, here he is. How one can find comfort in somebody like him is just, beyond him.
O. Outlook: Is your OC more optimistic, pessimistic, or realistic? How likely are they to believe a bad person can change?
They are both Realists. To take a situation upfront and deal accordingly is who they both are at their core. Sandrone is more likely to believe somebody bad can become good, because /he/ wants to be good. Ohm is less likely to believe this, no matter how much he may want it to be true. But at the end of the day, products of environments that were so truly unkind, they are both realistic of the grim world around them.
P. Positive: What does your OC believe is their best personality trait?
Sandrone
For some odd reason, Sulien thinks how blunt he is at times is a good personality trait. I mean, like, I guess? He believes it at least. Sulien just thinks that being blunt is a good way of dealing with things without any communication problems or misunderstandings, and that's true to an extent.
Ohm
A man bound by contracts, it'd be how dutiful he is. Diligence is the name of his game, ultimately. He's been doing this since he was a child, he better be good at what he does, and he is. He always fulfills his duties, always does his role, always plays his part. His work is who he is.
Q. Quirk: Does your OC have any (minor) bad habits? If so, what? (Biting their nails, sleeping in, procrastinating, etc.)
Sandrone
Honestly most of his work takes place at night or the evenings, so he usually sleeps the day away. It isn't the best for a person, but he does what he must.
Ohm
Due to his insane alcohol tolerance, he definitely drinks way too much. But it never really hits him...? So he just kinda drinks those lil fruity drinks of his cause he likes the taste haha
R. Respect: What qualities does your OC admire in other people?
Sandrone
Honesty. He admires honesty the most. Sulien has been lied to a lot, had things taken away from him that nobody should ever have taken away. He just wants somebody who will tell him the truth, even if it hurts.
Ohm
Surprisingly, Ohm likes people who are resourceful, a little bit cunning maybe. He likes people who are useful to him, and being useful means being able to think fast on your feet.
S. Success: Describe a time your OC did something good, or was right when others were wrong.
Sandrone
Most of the time LMAO bye. Sulien functions on one perfected line of code. "Analyse the situation, filter what is appropriate, narrow the results, speak." He tells Pierro straight to his face that he's a better information gatherer because "the difference between your recruits and me lies within step three." He's not often wrong, the other Harbingers hate him for it.
Ohm
He does his best to do good things to make up for all of his bad karma. A doctor, a captain, an adeptus. He sacrifices his own vitality to heal others. I mean the list goes on. He tries, very hard, to make up for the things he's done.
T. Troubled: Which of your OCs is the most flawed?
They're both flawed in their own ways that I can't really compare them.
Sandrone was broken down into bits, had literally every sense of self or shred of dignity stolen from him, and then he was turned into a tool and used time and time again. That trauma will never go away, nor the problems or flaws that arise from it. Then you have Ohm, who was forced onto a path of bloodshed and slaughter in the name of Celestia. A pawn that has lost everything, everyone. Who failed, time and time again, and has to live with that, with himself. That also doesn't ever go away.
And I think to compare them would be unfair. Especially when the more they learn of each other's pain in their separation, the further they fall into that guilt and pain for their twin. They always blame themselves for what happened to the other.
U. Upgrade: Does your OC strive for self-improvement, or are they less concerned about becoming a better person?
Sandrone
He does what he can with the circumstances he's in, if that makes sense. There isn't a lot that Sulien can do to change himself or the things around him. But he tries to learn better life skills(like cooking) or pick up new hobbies and stuff like that. He really does try though.
Ohm
I don't think that Ohm sees the value of self-improvement. He knows he isn't a good person, and I think he knows, deep down, that he can't really change that.
V. Value: Is your OC more selfish or selfless? What would they sacrifice for a loved one? What would they sacrifice for a stranger?
Ooh they're so similar haha.
Sandrone
Selfless, he is always doing what other people want. His opinion always comes second. For a loved one? He will lay his life down. For a stranger? Well he'll do his very damn best if the situation calls for it.
Ohm
Selfless, following a set path laid out in the stars before him, he has no choice. Fate has called and he has answered, what he wants does not matter. But put his loved ones in the firing line? He'll die before they do, he can guarantee that, and he has the power to ensure that. An innocent stranger will receive very close to the same treatment, too.
W. Worst: What is your OC’s worst flaw?
Sandrone
He accidentally gaslights people a lot.. Like he lies to lie at times because he's so used to it? And if you've never been gaslit you are so lucky, its such an awful feeling. A lot of the time when he does it to people he cares about, he really doesn't even notice. And I think that's pretty much his worst one. I mean and he kills people but w/e.
Ohm
He's self destructive. It's such a big part of his character and just who he is and it shows a lot about who he actually is. Ohm can't stand what he's been pushed into doing and yet he continues to do it. He'd do anything to wash himself of these feelings and it leads to incredible self destructive behaviour. He also kills people but w/e.
X. X-ray: Does your OC believe that they’re a good person? Would you consider them a good person?
Sandrone
No, he doesn't believe he's a good person. I, as his creator, know that he's a genuinely good person put into a bad situation and forced to make bad choices to survive. He just doesn't see it that way, he can't, he's been conditioned to believe whatever they need him to believe to get him complacent.
Ohm
Also doesn't believe he's a good person. And I, as his creator, know that he's bad at his core, but he tries so hard to do good things. He wasn't given a chance, not really. He tries to make up for it, tries to cleanse his sins, but that blood never washes off..
Y. Young: How has your OC been influenced by their past? Are they a better person because of their past, or a worse one?
-looks into the camera-
The answer is the same for both of them. Heirs to a clan favoured by Celestia, paths set in fate, destinies controlled by stars. They are influenced by things even further than their own pasts. Sandrone was allowed to forget his past, forget who he is, and what he means. Is that good? Is that bad? Who knows. But when he did remember as a child, he was very much influenced by it. Then Ohm, well.. Past mistakes and failures are who he is, right? The last thing he remembers is his father's words too him regarding destiny and given how ingrained that is in their family line. Well..
The past means everything to them.
Z. Zealous: Does your OC have any guilty pleasures? If so, what? (Watching reality TV, drinking soda, reading cheesy romance novels, etc.)

School got me worn out so here's my team dynamic HCs
It's Kaeya, Xingqiu, Diluc, and Ayaka atm hngjfhgdjfg
Kaeya
This man is so tired, Archons please let him rest
Has to pick up his week's paperwork from Jean every Monday when we go to Mondstadt to buy food supplies and stuff before fighting Andrius, gets to work on it while Diluc and the Andrius team go at it
Actually is the person who keeps the whole party safe, has pulled Xingqiu away from ledges while he's reading more times than he can count, makes sure everyone has food at all times, and keeps the schedule in line
Has a flask of Death After Noon that he keeps on him, has to actively keep it away from Xingqiu because the kid's curious
He is so tired he is the reason the party only gets up to leave at like noon because he sleeps in
Thinks he's good enough at hiding his anxiety that no one else has noticed
He is not, they've all noticed him shaking visibly at high speeds in 90-degree weather and the kids will do their best to avoid fraying his nerves on a bad day
Very kind to Xingqiu and Ayaka, kinda like a cool uncle? Buys them things even though they can afford it
Kinda lets the kids do what they want and chat while he keeps them safe and the whole party on their way
Absolute tank, balances his skillset out so he can manage most threats alone, no one has to get hurt, they can just travel, it's fine it's fine
Pretends to casually bring up stuff the kids want to do (after meticulously making sure the party would be in the right place at the right time)
"Xingqiu, we have time to kill, care to show us to the Wanwen Bookhouse? We can see if they have the next issue in that book series you're always reading! :)"
"Ayaka, you wanted to try some Liyuen cuisine, didn't you? We have a dear friend who just so happens to be a chef at Wanmin Restaurant! And since we're in Liyue anyway, we should swing by, shouldn't we?"
He tries his best to find something Diluc wouldn't mind doing too! Usually, Diluc turns him down but Kaeya has scored on occasion!
"C'mon Diluc, you can't have lost all your taste for reading, right? I hear Inazuma has some interesting books nowadays, what with all the isolation..."
Basically, he just tries his best and is so tired please let him rest
Diluc
This man is angry all the time but he doesn't mean to be. He's just unnerved because he's basically back to hunting Fatui in other nations. He just isn't alone this time and the Fatui aren't the focus
He's so annoyed that they don't leave until Kaeya wakes up, actively in denial about the fact that he himself wakes up only an hour earlier and everyone else is waiting for much longer
Runs right into danger all the time please someone tell this man to calm down he is the reason they need so much food
Does and takes a whole lot of damage at the same time and it stresses Kaeya out so much
Was not Pleased to find out he'd be stuck traveling with Kaeya, puts up with it because he can't bring himself to turn down the Traveler's request. Because in his eyes they're just a kid trying to find their family and he really can't turn down their plea for help in
Gets along surprisingly well with Xingqiu, they both enjoy reading, and often recommend books to each other! Diluc has no idea Xingqiu wrote Legend of a Sword, but the only reason for that is that he literally forgot the book name
"Hmm... in Mondstadt we have this book, The Fox and the Dandelion Sea? For a traditional Mondstadt fairytale, it does remind me of Inazuma, funnily enough. There are versions of the book that are watered down for younger children, but if you have the time I'd recommend the full novelization."
"Tales From the Waves? No, I haven't read that. Is it good?" ... "A novelization of an old ship captain's life? That does sound interesting... I'll pick up a copy when I can"
Gets along well with Ayaka as well, they both appreciate the arts and such so they talk about that
"In Mondstadt we don't have nearly as many festivals as they do in Inazuma... but when we do they're quite the occasion, and very dear to people's hearts. There would be rioting in the streets if the Windblume Festival was postponed..."
"Oh Mond has its fair share of dance traditions, but they fell to be a staple of the Lawrence rule, so not many traditional dances remain... although if you wish to learn more about them you could ask Kaeya to introduce you to the Knight's Recconacance Captain. She doesn't like me very much"
Is the one person who actually doesn't realize that Kaeya is anxious All The Time, literally could watch him shake uncontrollably as Venti walks by and think it was his Vision acting up, he has all the pieces to put the puzzle together but has lost interest in it
Xingqiu
Top ten reasons the party gets sidetracked, number one: Xingqiu finding a book and getting so into it that he doesn't notice people
Actually besties with Ayaka he thinks she's really cool!
Top ten reasons why Kaeya actually gets to sleep as long as he does, number one: Xingqiu jumping up and yanking Diluc's hair when he tries to wake him up
"You're 22 you can go get breakfast by yourself, my leige"
Infodumps about his books to the whole party while they're eating dinner regardless of if they're listening or not (they are, they always are)
Pulls out relevant trivia out of nowhere?? Like they'll be stuck in some ruins and Xingqiu just
"Hey, you know this specific style of ruins are known to be built with metal hatches that always lead to escape routes :)"
Or like
"Oh yeah, the coloration in the animals is different here because the plants in Inazuma so often have purple and blue pigmentation, and Inazuma is so naturally isolated, that the animals adapted to get their pigments partially from the foliage!"
And no one knows how or why he knows this much but he Does??
Also, knows everyone's favorite bird for some reason and talks about them, why? Idk I think he'd like birds!!
"A peacock? Oh, I've never even seen one of those! I hear they're lovely, but a little noisy. Sometimes we get feathers imported for design reference at the Feyun Commerce Guild though!"
"Umbertail Falcon, right? Ohh I hear they can be very loyal, right? Ahh, so that's why yours flys down to check in on you? That's lovely! Owls? Oh yeah, those are cool birds, you know their feathers are fanned out just right so they're entirely silent while flying!"
"Herons? Oh yeah, that's what your title is, right? Graceful... I think they're more stealthy, very good at waiting to strike. That's how they hunt, you know? Just being patient and stealthy, then striking. That's also why they're so graceful standing there all the time!"
Bummed that he's the only person in the party without a bird as his constellation tbh, but he's alright with it because he's got books!!
Mentioned Albedo and Kaeya almost choked on his food, Xingqiu thought this was hilarious
Routinely plays pranks on Diluc and occasionally manages to pull a deez joke on Kaeya, leaves Ayaka alone with the pranks though because he knows she's new to all of this
Ayaka
Oh this poor girl, Lumine just dropped her off with Mondstadt's most dysfunctional siblings and a kid who reads at the speed of light and said have fun
Really gets along well with Xingqiu!! Having someone with a somewhat similar background is definitely a relief, especially because Kaeya and Diluc intimidate her, what with them arguing most of the time they interact
She recognizes the anxiety in Kaeya (because she also has it) so she's a little more comfortable approaching him because of that
She's happy to talk about Inazuma's ruins and is fascinated by Kaeya bringing up similar ruins in Mondstadt and Liyue
She really appreciates him remembering what she's interested in and making time in the day for it!
Diluc on the other hand?? She has... some idea how to talk to him? But?? He is either aggressive or glaring off into the distance at all times, and she's been around long enough to know that he doesn't mean to be like that but it's still unnerving to her
However, she Can talk to him! She is still a little confused because he constantly sounds so grumpy, but she's realized that he's actually really good at listening, and is absolutely willing to talk about Mondstadt traditions! Because she does really like to learn about other nations
Plus, she can go to Xingqiu to answer most of her questions!
"Xingqiu, I- I hope this isn't an odd question, but ah... how exactly do you get used to Kaeya and Diluc? I don't think I've quite figured it out yet..?"
"So in Liyue... the Merchant stalls are on the docks? Like Ritou but it's all on the docks? Interesting..."
"You're the second born of the Feyun Commerce Guild? Oh! Forgive me, I thought you were the eldest, my brother handles most international relations..."
It was really hard for her to adjust to the team, just because of how ragtag it is most of the time, but she's got it by now!
She actually kind of likes the scrappy chaos! She hasn't completely gotten used to it all but she finds it like kind of a break from having to uphold her image at all times
Top five Ayaka quotes and who she said them to:
"They fight a wolf ghost every week...?? Are they ok??" (To Kaeya, about the Andrius team)
"So this is Morax's old... dragon friend...??" (To Xingqiu)
"Wait, you do this every week?" (To Diluc, about the domains)
"Oh!! Oh it is spicy!!!" (To Xingqiu, about Xiangling's cooking)
"Ah... OH! Yes um I uh- *gay hand flip* ?? Is that right??" (Xingqiu was talking about Chongyun)
Also the party went to Dragonspine and Ayaka was actually really interested in Durin because she didn't know that other nations also had odd giant dragon skeletons

haikyuu sibling hcs
i am returning from the dead because of this, which has me going insane every time i think about it. there will probably be a part two of this. i simply cannot get it out of my mind
nishinoya’s sisters
all of them are older than him, but I’d say one is a year older than him (3rd year), one is four years older (3rd year of uni) and one is six years older (graduated a year ago)
the nishinoya’s are a Loud family. they are constantly yelling at each other, whether in an argument or just to talk to each other. they’re also all very messy, with the middle sister being the lesser of four evils by actually returning cups and dishes to the kitchen (she goes to all their rooms while she’s at it)
the eldest is the one who got nishinoya into volleyball. she played in high school, and she taught little 9-year-old yuu in the back garden as a reward for finishing his homework. she played non-competitively at uni and dropped it after, but she’ll still always practice with him whenever she’s home
the youngest sister dresses like an egirl and has the bleached streaks at the front of her hair. she had leftover bleach when doing it, so she convinced yuu to do a matching style, which is the origin story of the blonde streak in his hair
the youngest sister also plays football (soccer), and they help each other practice. they’re absolutely best friends.
all of them are Fiercely protective of each other. he likes to think he’s the one protecting them all the time but in reality he is the baby of the family and they would all rather die than let anyone so much as lay a finger on him
the middle sister is the only one with good grades, and they always say she has all the brain cells between the four of them. she also sleeps until 1pm (which doesn’t mix well with yuu’s tendency to wake up at 7am acting like he’s had three energy drinks) and went through a lot of boyfriends in high school (yuu tried to intimidate all of them, and failed, because he was 13 and short as hell). they get along better now she’s moved out.
the eldest is only a mature functional adult because she had to stop the rest from injuring themselves or each other constantly when they were kids. she’s the go-to for advice for all of them, but will always go to her brother when she needs to rant
the eldest got All of the height. she is a tall woman and she likes to use her siblings as armrests to make them feel even smaller. gives good hugs but also slaps her siblings around the head as a form of greeting
they taught yuu about style and respecting women. he chose not to listen when it came to style and wears ugly tshirts with funny slogans anyway, but he would beat up a misogynist.
asahi had a bit of a crush on the youngest sister for part of their second year and will NEVER admit it
overall they are chaotic, loud and messy but they get along really well, simultaneous hell yeah and big rip for the parents.
suga’s brother
ok listen he’s 7 (11 years younger) and babysitting him is part of the reason koushi became an elementary school teacher
he is o b s e s s e d with dinosaurs, tsukishima begrudgingly and secretly gives koushi his old, more childish dino-themed things to pass on to the kid
absolutely idolises his brother. wants to be Exactly like him. he rlly tries hard in school because of it (even though he has a pretty short attention span)
also wants to play volleyball bc of suga, and is his brother’s biggest hypeman
terrified of daichi but loves asahi. its asahi’s biggest win
makes suga watch disney movies with him (he doesn’t actually make him, its unclear which one of them enjoys it more)
kyoutani’s sister
she’s 23 (6 years older) and the COOLEST BITCH
has a sort of indie / grunge style, basically that fun y2k-ish style but with more chains and fishnets
plays electric guitar, has a bunch of stick and pokes, wears doc martens and is doing a masters degree in journalism.
please i’m in love with her
she had a massive emo / punk phase back when kentarou was 10 and thought she was the most amazing person alive. he started trying to be punk like her and it stuck
they would kill and die for each other but argue All The Time. especially when he was like 13-14. basically hated each other but now they very much respect each other
(she’s the only person he fully respects other than iwaizumi)
they would play fight all the time that almost verged on genuine physical fighting. they still do sometimes, and she wins 90% of the time.
for personal reasons i am going to say she’s bisexual
if you ever think kentarou would have anything negative to say about women or gays, you are wrong. if you say anything bigoted its an attack on his sister and he will beat you up about it
literally has to keep her away from the volleyball team because they met her once and oikawa tried to flirt with her and he is never suffering through that again
she helps him cut and bleach his hair and he helps her dye hers fun colours sometimes
overall the literal coolest person ever i would die for her
kuroo’s sister
okay I’d say she’s probably,,, 22. four years older.
the most put together person you will meet in your life. its honestly scary how organised she is. time management queen.
the science genes run in the family. just started a master’s degree in biology and plans to do a PhD
every teacher that taught her expects tetsurou to be just as smart and capable. it annoys him, even though he gets the grades, because they assume he’s gonna be just as well behaved and organised as her. that man has not handed in a homework assignment in his life.
she has Long Ass, Thick Ass Hair and if she ever lets it get slightly out of hand it looks like a Nightmare
still hates tetsurou for making her practice volleyball with him when she was 12. she missed the season finale of a show she liked and then got it spoiled for her because she was helping him and she still holds a grudge about it
may be put together, but she’s still fun. will buy tetsurou alcohol if he asks her to (not too much tho, so parents don’t catch on)
he tries to flirt with her friends and she hates him for it (the newer ones that meet him when he’s like 18 seem to enjoy it and she hates that even more)
is Very intimidated by tetsurou’s volleyball team, will still bully him in front of them tho. when her and kenma team up they are ruthless and if he didn’t know they were joking he’d probably cry
yaku pretended to have a crush on her for almost a whole year in second year to annoy tetsurou. he even got her in on it and ‘asked her out’. it was the longest and most worthwhile con he’s ever pulled.

A sibling-style relationship ask for 2, 4 , 7, 13, 19, 21, 29, 31, 33. 34, and 37 for May and June, HDL, Clara and Newton and finally Elise
And her siblings I hope you don’t mind answering these many Q&A’s
I'll do all the sibs except May and June; don't really work with them much so I don't have as many hcs for them.
2: How’s their team work? Do they share well?
HDL: Like Donald and Della before them, they either work amazingly together or not at all. Same with sharing. They're either splitting something or someone's about to lose a limb because how dare you touch my food?
Clara and Newton: Great in both categories!
Elise and her sibs: Great on teamwork and for the most part on sharing, but someone (*cough* Elise) isn't that great at sharing food.
4: First impression of each other? Was it love at first sight?
HDL: Huey was curious. Louie was unimpressed. Dewey was the only one to really think something along the lines of "Oh my gosh, there's two more of me..."
Clara and Newton: Absolute love at first sight. Clara's first thought when she saw Newton was "He's so tiny..." She already adored Newton and was very protective of him, but became even more so after they learned that he's deaf.
Elise and her sibs: When her younger brother was born, Elise had a lot of new sib anxiety/jealousy and didn't like him for a solid week after he hatched. Or, at least, she said she didn't like him for a week. She actually started liking him a few hours after he hatched but she was too stubborn to admit it. Her parents found her "reading" a book to the baby and from there on they were set. Both she and her brother were very accepting when their younger sister was born.
7: What annoys them the most about their partner? Would they change it if they could?
HDL: Huey dislikes his brothers' disorder and sometimes blatant disregard for rules. Dewey dislikes how sometimes Huey can be bossy and Louie's pessimism. Louie dislikes how Huey is such a rule-follower, even when the rules are stupid or don’t work/make sense, and how Dewey can have a disregard for personal space at times.
Clara and Newton: Newton gets annoyed when Clara keeps things from him; he can very easily tell when something’s bothering her and she won’t tell him what it is or dismisses it. Clara can sometimes get overwhelmed with Newton’s Gearloosian Outlandishness, especially because--as his primary interpreter--she finds herself in the middle of it.
Elise and her sibs: Growing up, Elise--as eldest--could be pretty bossy to the chagrin of her younger sibs. Meanwhile, both Elise and her sister would get annoyed with their brother for being a slob, and Elise and her brother would get annoyed with their sister for being a bathroom hog.
13: What do they do for fun? Do they have a favorite activity or do they like to switch things up?
HDL: They started doing something called “low-key adventuring” where they just go exploring parts of the city together. This usually results in spending hours in a thrift store, trying out a new restaurant, hanging out on the beach and looking in tide-pools, etc.
Clara and Newton: They occasionally have random dance parties, usually when the other needs some cheering up. They’ll also toss around a baseball in the yard; Clara doesn’t exactly like this activity, but pretends to for Newton’s sake and because she likes to spend time with him. Newton totally knows this but pretends not to.
Elise and her sibs: They had a dedicated weekly game night growing up, and they try to continue it as adults, though it’s once a month and largely over Zoom.
19: What do they fight about? What are their arguments like? How do they make up?
HDL: They only really fight about really serious stuff, like when Huey and Louie learned that Dewey kept a secret from them that he was looking into Della's disappearance. They have their squabbles, but those are more half-hearted.
Clara and Newton: They don’t really fight much, but it’s usually a [Newton, no!] [Newton, yes!] kind of fight when it happens.
Elise and her sibs: They don't fight about much as adults, but when they were kids they'd have the usual sibling squabbles about stolen stuff, "he's touching me!" and so on.
21: Do they share any interests or hobbies?
HDL: They have a lot of the same favorite shows and will binge watch together.
Clara and Newton: They both slowly get into magic together, but for different reasons--and ways.
Elise and her sibs: They all are die-hard fans of the Calisota professional baseball team.
29: How do the handle disasters or emergencies? Minor injuries? Sickness?
HDL: Huey is the best because the boy is prepared--and his brothers give him lots of practice in putting his Junior Woodchuck skills to the test. He’s got high nervous energy, though, and can get a little panicked so usually Louie or Dewey have to talk Huey down even as Huey is in the middle of patching them up. If it’s Huey who is hurt or sick, then Louie and Dewey get very protective of Huey.
Clara and Newton: Newton is usually the cause of a disaster or emergency... Fortunately, Clara inherited Maria’s eldest-Gearloose-sibling energy and kind of just rolls her eyes and takes care of things.
Elise and her sibs: Obviously, Elise is the best in disasters or emergencies. Her younger sis frets over minor injuries and sickness, but she also does not do well at the sight of blood. One time, their nephew hit his head outside playing at a family gathering. Not a bad bump but he was bleeding some. Elise ordered her brother to take their sister away so that she didn't have two patients to take care of when she inevitably swooned.
31: Do they finish each other’s sentences? Pick up any phrases or habits from each other? Know when the other is hiding something?
HDL: Oh yes, they finish each other's sentences a lot. They hate it. And they definitely know when the other is hiding something.
Clara and Newton: They don't finish each other's sentences, but they do have an idea of what the other is going to say. They definitely know when the other is hiding something--Newton especially. He's really good on picking up on body language cues.
Elise and her sibs: They know when the others are hiding something, but not great at finishing each other's sentences.
33: What kind of presents do they get each other? Do they only do it on special occasions?
HDL: Their gifts to each other are usually references to inside jokes that has the recipient cackling, leaving everyone else not knowing why a jar of pickles is so dang funny.
Clara and Newton: They’re really good at knowing what the other wants or needs.
Elise and her sibs: They get each other weird but otherwise fun stuff. It became a tradition for Christmas and birthdays. They give each other serious gifts for weddings, but otherwise it's silly putty and mugs that look like hedgehogs and so on.
34: Do they have any pets?
HDL: As much as Dewey wants one, no.
Clara and Newton: Not any directly, but they do live with four cats at Gearloose Grotto and have pets by proxy.
Elise and her sibs: They had a dog growing up!
37: How much would they be willing to sacrifice for the other? Any lines they refuse to cross?
I'd say for all three groups, they'd all be willing to sacrifice for the others. Sometimes they may say otherwise or threaten to sell them for a corn-chip, but when push comes to shove they'd do anything to protect each other.

HPHM Bang--home
For the @hphmbang2020 !
It was fun to write this? The Weasley’s are great! I don’t focus on them enough. Math is not my forte (lol) but ages should be roughly: Bill-16, Charlie-14, Percy-11ish, Fred and George-9, Ron-7, Ginny-6.
The art that goes with this is done by @kathrynalicemc ! You can find the art here ^^
Story under the cut or on Ao3!
A day in the Burrow always begins with Molly Weasley in the kitchen. She’s up before anyone else, dressing quickly so she can get some food into her husband before he leaves for work.
It’s quiet in the house, save for the spells she whispers to ignite the stove fire and gather the dishes. Even the ghoul is quiet this early in the morning, no moans or thumps coming from the attic. It’s so different from how the Burrow is usually, and Molly always takes a moment to appreciate the quiet. She loves her family and doesn’t mind the cacophony they bring, but all that commotion just makes quiet moments like this sweeter.
Arthur is usually the first downstairs—and the first out the door depending on his work schedule. Molly gets a peck on the cheek as she hands Arthur a bowl of porridge. He smiles in thanks and begins to wolf it down. Molly holds back a sigh. Seems like today is one where he needs to leave early.
Her oldest three usually wander downstairs next. Both Charlie and Percy are natural early risers—Charlie likes to take a walk before breakfast in the early dawn light, while Percy basks in the rare silence of the house with a book. It’s the only time she doesn’t admonish him for having a book at the table. Molly knows how much he enjoys the calm.
Bill isn’t an early riser like his brothers, but he’s got into the habit of waking early anyways. When she had been pregnant at the same time as raising toddlers, she had relied on Bill to help her wake, dress, and feed his siblings. Even now, every time he comes downstairs, he asks her if she needs any help, to which she always replies that she doesn’t. She can handle the cooking just fine now, and she wants to let her eldest relax like a child should in the morning.
It’s usually the three of them, Molly, Bill, and Percy, for a while after that. Charlie is out walking, while the younger kids sleep. Ginny sometimes is with them, but as she’s gotten older, she has started to sleep in more. Molly misses bonding with her only daughter who is always so fascinated by seeing food float through the air, but she’ll let her daughter sleep in with her brothers.
Charlie’s arrival is usually when she goes to wake her other children—after she makes Charlie wash all the dirt he accumulated on his walk off at the door and change into clean clothing. None of them appreciate the wake up, especially Ron, but the smell of food wafting through the house usually convinces them it’s a good idea.
With the noise of groans echoing through the house and stomps coming up and down the stairs, she goes back down to the kitchen to start filling bowls. Once everyone’s downstairs, the quiet peace of the morning will be gone until tomorrow.
-x-
Breakfast is loud. Much too loud in the opinion of Percy. Why can’t they all just sit quietly and eat? Why does Fred have to chew with his mouth open to gross out Ginny who squeals? Why can’t his family be normal sometimes? It’s exhausting.
Percy is usually the first to finish because he actually eats his food instead of trying to convince Ron that spiders aren’t that bad. Percy scoffs inwardly. You’re not going to get anywhere, Charlie! He’s terrified of the pests.
He pushes his chair back. “May I be excused?”
His mother gives him a concerned look. “Did you eat enough? You finished pretty quick there.”
Percy considers it. “I’m—”
“Hey, are those the school owls? Percy, get the window.” Bill’s voice interrupts him, and Percy is out of his chair and opening the window before anyone can say anything else. He is turning eleven in a few weeks’ time, just before September 1st, and despite his parent’s assurances that he will be able to attend Hogwarts this year, a part of him is terrified he will have to wait another year.
His heart soars when he sees what the owl is carrying.
“Three letters!” Percy cries out triumphantly. He will get to go to Hogwarts!
Fred and George moan but that is to be expected. They are annoyances who are to be ignored whenever anything big happens. Ron and Ginny join in on the complaining as Percy passes envelopes to Bill and Charlie. He ignores them too, focusing only on his own letter.
Dear Mr. Weasley
We are pleased to inform you that….
He continues to read and desperately tries to ignore his younger siblings rising insistence that they all want to go to Hogwarts now. He can’t let them ruin this for him.
Percy switches to the booklist, scanning it. He has already read all the books for the year, except for the Defense Against the Dark Arts textbook. Percy thought it would be that way. He always read Bill’s schoolbooks after his brother finishes a school year.
“So, what’s yours say, Perce?”
A hand snatches the letter from him. Percy sputters as Fred holds the letter in front of his face.
“Fred! Don’t take something from your brother’s hands like that!”
Despite their mother’s reprimand, Fred is unrepentant. “I want to see what the letter looks like!”
Percy snatches his letter back, silently fuming. Fred and George are always like this, ruining every good thing Percy gets. He gets that they’re little kids, but do they have to be so annoying all day every day? “Like you haven’t read Bill or Charlie’s letters? I’m going to my room.”
“Percy—” his mother tries to call, but he ignores her and dumps his empty bowl in the sink. Percy retreats upstairs to his room, ready to savor his Hogwarts letter in the relative quiet of the currently empty upstairs.
This is supposed to be a happy moment and those are always ruined when he’s around the twins.

Charlie surveys the collection of bits and bobs spread out on a towel. While the assortment of rocks in front of him is undoubtedly very cool looking—one rock is dark grey and shaped like a shoe if you squint, while another seems to have some sort of quartz in it—no matter how you look at it, none of his morning finds is a dragon scale.
Logically, Charlie knows it is unlikely he will find a dragon scale—or tooth, or claw, or dragon related anything—by the Burrow. They live nowhere near a dragon reserve and the Ministry of Magic strictly regulates where dragons can fly, but Charlie can dream. It is possible he could dig and find some dragon scale left behind centuries ago. It isn’t an unheard of thing, just rare. A slim chance is still a chance, and Charlie is nothing if not optimistic when it comes to dragons. He fully believes that he can join the small percentage of people who have happened upon dragon relics.
For now, he stuffs his collection of rocks back into his bag. He usually puts them in a chest by his bed, but Percy is sulking in the room they share and he doesn’t want to deal with his little brother’s snappish mood. It always takes Percy a while to calm down after Fred and George rile him up.
Instead, he goes outside. It’s a nice day. Slightly cloudy, of course, but it doesn’t seem to be rain clouds. As good flying conditions as it’s going to get.
None of his family is outside, so Charlie isn’t interrupted as he takes a broom from the shed and lifts off gently into the sky. He gives himself a minute to just enjoy the feeling of being in the air. Usually, one of his siblings would have noticed him on a broom by this point and begged for Quidditch help so they could also make the Gryffindor team when they went to Hogwarts. Charlie doesn’t mind helping them, not in the least bit, but it is nice to just fly without distractions. To hover and take in the land laid out before him. See light glisten on the river that winds its way through the countryside and into the distant Muggle town. Feel the sun on his back, giving him the slightest bit of warmth against the wind. Flying calms him, and, slightly ironically, grounds him. It reminds him that there is more to life than dragons, believe it or not.
He can’t really leave the shadow of the Burrow—they live too close to Muggles for him to really be able to fly—but doing lazy laps around his home is fine.
“Oi, Charlie! If you’re flying, then can you help us with Quidditch?”
Charlie snorts. The moment of peace was nice while it lasted.
-x-
Ron trudges up another flight of stairs, seriously regretting picking the top floor to live in once he was old enough to have his own room. It is one of the biggest rooms in the house and super cool, no doubt about it, but having to walk up all those stairs after several hours of playing Quidditch nonstop with his brothers is not fun. Not fun at all. Every muscle feels like it’s on fire and those last few steps seem to take forever to make.
He can’t help but let out a groan as he collapses onto his bed. He is covered in sweat and dirt and probably should shower before he gets his blankets and sheets dirty, but he’s too exhausted right now to bother. Mum will clean them anyways before the week is over.
The impromptu Quidditch practice went well, in Ron’s opinion. Fred and George had persuaded him and Charlie into dodging balls that they sent flying, but that wasn’t very hard, even for Ron. Their family didn’t have real bludgers to practice with and had to settle for regular balls that weren’t enchanted to knock people off brooms. Fred and George’s aim was improving, but they couldn’t send the balls flying that high.
Charlie had been amazing to watch. Unlike Ron, who had kept higher in the sky to avoid the twins being menaces, Charlie had kept the ground. Ron could understand how he had become Gryffindor’s Seeker in his second year—there was a precision to how he flew. He seemed to know exactly where Fred and George were going to hit the balls and swerved out of the way easily.
Ron wishes he could fly like that. He tries to tell himself that Charlie is that good because he is fourteen and a teenager, but sometimes Ron has trouble believing that. Charlie has natural talent, everyone says so, but they never say that about Ron.
Quidditch Through the Ages is still on his bed from where Ron had dropped it when he went running to practice Quidditch. He flops over onto his stomach and sighs, flipping through the book. It automatically opens to the section on the teams in Britain, specifically where the small part on the Chudley Cannons starts. Ron isn’t much of a reader, but he’s read this book dozens of times over.
His brothers favor other teams, but Ron thinks his favorite is the Cannons. He maybe relates to them a little. No one expects anything from the Cannon’s, so anytime they do well it’s a celebration.
Flipping through the book, Ron loses track of time. Someday, he wants to play for one of the team’s mentioned. That would be so cool. Quidditch is so cool. Maybe if he bothers Charlie enough they could practice again later—
“Ron!”
He jumps at his mum’s voice.
“Yeah?”
She opens his door a bit and peeks through. “Lunch is ready, dear. Did you not hear me?”
Ron smiles sheepishly. “No, sorry.”
Molly smiles back. “It’s fine. Just be down quickly, okay.”
He nods, and sets Quidditch Through the Ages down. Practice is nice, but food is even better.
-x-
Ginny smashes the two dolls against each other, almost angry that her dolls are made of fabric and not something harder. If they were, then there would be banging noises to represent how upset she feels, and also one might break and that would represent her feelings too.
Well, no, she doesn’t really want to break one of her toys, but she is still so angry! Her stupid brothers spent the whole morning playing Quidditch and when she tried to play with them too, they hadn’t let her. It isn’t fair! Ron is only a year older, so it isn’t like she’s too young. They were only doing it because she’s a girl and that is such a stupid reason.
She smushes the dolls together again in anger—pretending that they’re Fred and George colliding midair because that would be funny to watch—then throws one of the dolls across her room. It hits the wall and then the floor with next to no noise. Ginny pulls her knees to her chest and puffs out her cheeks.
Boys are stupid. Brothers are stupid.
“You okay there, Ginny?”
Ginny looks over to Bill standing in her doorway.
Okay, maybe all brothers aren’t stupid. Just most of them.
She continues to pout but doesn’t yell when Bill comes into her room and sits down across from her.
Bill has a small smile on his face. “Still angry about this morning?”
“No,” she lies. “Maybe.”
He winks at her. “They were being kind of mean, weren’t they?”
Ginny throws her arms out. “Yeah! They wouldn’t even let me watch!”
“Awful.”
“Right? They’re all such stupidheads.”
“The stupidest.”
With that agreement, Ginny finally relaxes and launches into a ramble about all the ways that her brothers (except Bill of course) are very stupid and mean. Bill nods and doesn’t interrupt which is why he is Ginny’s favorite and the only boy in the whole world who isn’t stupid. Well, Bill and her dad. And Harry Potter. They’re all okay.
“You okay now?” Bill asks and Ginny nods. It feels good to have someone take her complaints seriously and not make fun of them (like Ron or Fred or George always do) or reduce them (like her mum sometimes does).
“Thank you for listening,” she says, because she’s polite.
Bill laughs and musses up her hair. She benevolently lets him. “Anytime, kiddo. Have fun playing with your dolls.”
Ginny nods once more as Bill walks out. She crawls over to the other side of the room and guiltily picks up the doll she threw earlier.
“Sorry about that,” she tells the doll who does not reply. “I didn’t really mean to throw you.”
She crawls back to her original spot and picks up another toy on the way, an old doll-sized toy broom that barely can float after years of being owned by the Weasley’s. She puts one of her dolls on the broom.
“There. So, you’re the new Chaser for the Holyhead Harpies and…”
-x-
“So, I think we should first try tricking Ron—”
“Yeah, but if we do, then he’s just going to squeal to Mum—"
“Yeah, but if we try to just sneak into Mum and Dad’s room without a distraction, then we’re more likely to get caught. Ron’s gonna squeal but it’ll have her distracted.”
“Distracted? More like Mum’ll make us wash dishes the Muggle way as punishment.”
Fred and George glare at each other, neither wanting to cede victory to the other. Usually, they get along swimmingly and know just what the other wants, but sometimes fights do happen.
The two noticed their dad sneak in some chocolate bars the day before, likely for Percy’s birthday coming up soon, and he had hidden the chocolate somewhere in his and Mum’s bedroom so no one could eat it. Well, that’s just a silent challenge in the twin’s eyes! It probably wouldn’t take long to actually find the chocolate—Mum kept her room clean and they knew her regular hiding spots—but getting in is the hard part. Their mum always seems to know when they are sneaking into rooms not their own, and they always are scolded for it.
“We could always bribe Ron to help us,” George says eventually. Ron is the easiest of their siblings to bribe. “Instead of tricking him. We are looking for chocolate bars after all.”
Fred wrinkles his nose. “It’d work, sure, but then we’d have to actually give him some of our hard-won chocolate.”
George shrugs. “Can always tell him we found less than we really did. Or not tell him about the chocolate at all and trade a favor.”
“That could work,” Fred strokes his chin as if he is pondering something important and not candy theft. He grins. “We’ll just tell him we won’t bother him for a whole two weeks. That’ll probably work.”
George laughs. Ron is their favorite victim after Percy. Soon, he’ll be their main victim since Percy is off to Hogwarts in a month. “Give him a small reprieve before the real pranks start.”
Identical smirks grow on identical faces.
“Oh, yeah, this will be good.” Fred is laughing now too. “We can even extend it; say we won’t bother him until the others leave for Hogwarts. Lull him into a sense of false security.”
“Obviously, this means we need to come up with something good to do to him on September first.”
“Obviously,” Fred agrees, eyes alight with mischief. “Something big to do the moment we get back from King’s Cross.”
The two of them laugh, any tension from their small fight earlier gone.
George calms down first. “We can plan for that later. Now, we need to convince him to distract Mum so we can have that chocolate.”
Fred falls backwards onto the floor, staring at the ceiling with a smile on his face. “Chocolate. That’s exactly what we need to plan the best prank ever.” He sits up and stretches. “Well, no time like the present! Let’s go.”

Bill studies the parchment in front of him. Only a few months previous he had taken his O.W.L.’s, and the letter with his exam grades had come a month ago. Despite all the panic he’d felt before and after the exams, Bill had done fine. His schedule the past few years, not even including any extracurriculars, had been packed with twelve classes. The fact that he passed every single one, that he received 8 O’s, 2 E’s and 2 A’s, was amazing and something to be celebrated. People would kill to have marks like that.
Still, part of him feels conflicted going into his sixth year. Apart from Divination and Muggle Studies, the two classes he received the Acceptable grades in, he can get into any N.E.W.T. level class he wants. He even managed to get the O necessary for Snape’s Potions class. But he doesn’t really want to leave any of his old classes behind. He knows it’s necessary and he knows what classes he needs to take to have a career in curse breaking, but he still is so reluctant to commit to them.
It’s the first step towards being an adult and, for the first time in a while, Bill doesn’t want to take the step.
He’s always had to act older than he was, told to look after his siblings and take care of them when his parents were busy, so he’s used to acting in adult ways. It isn’t anything new. But looking at his Hogwarts letter, it suddenly hits him that he is sixteen. One year from now, he’ll be considered an adult by wizarding laws. In two years, if he passes his classes and applies to Gringotts, he could very well be in a different country working to break curses in Egypt or Greece. It’s exciting, Bill can’t deny that, but also terrifying in a way.
Bill looks down once more at the letter from Hogwarts. Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms, Transfiguration, Ancient Runes, and Arithmancy are the classes he needs to take to become a curse breaker. All are classes he received an O in. Bill loves learning and part of him wishes that he could take more classes than those five, but five N.E.W.T. level classes is already an insane workload. He can always study in his free time, or during vacation.
It’s later in the afternoon, the time of day he is pretty sure is called the golden hour. Outside, he can see that golden reflection in everything below him. He takes a steadying breathe, tries to feel as calm as the environment around him looks. It will be fine. Growing up and becoming and adult is okay.
“Bill? Are you up there? Dinner’s ready soon! Can you get your siblings down to the kitchen?”
Bill stretches, having been musing for quite a while. “Yeah! Be down in a sec.”
“Thank you, dear!”
He listens as his mum wanders away and smiles to himself. It’ll be fine. Growing up is just a new extension of what he’s already been doing his whole life—taking care of his family.
-x-
Depending on how work goes, Arthur usually comes home right as dinner is being served. He has no idea how Molly does it, how she always seems to know right when he finishes his paperwork and clocks out, but there’s rarely a day where he has to wait more than ten minutes for dinner.
He pecks Molly on the cheek, admires her smile, and listens to the jeers from the disgusted children at the table. Fred and George in particular are at that age where any sign of affection is considered sickening, while Ron and Ginny always try to mimic them.
“How’d work go, Dad?” Bill asks with a bright smile.
“Delightfully!” Arthur crows, mostly meaning it. There was more paperwork than usual today and he had to deal with Jameson, but he also had a Muggle-born witch explain to him how planes fly! Apparently, her Muggle brother works as an aerospace engineer and has spent a lot of time explaining the mechanics to her. He enthusiastically explains this to his considerably less excited children.
Ron crinkles his nose in confusion. “I didn’t understand any of that.”
“Dragons are cooler anyways,” Charlie adds predictably. “Do you want to know how they fly?”
“No,” comes several long-suffering voices, used to Charlie’s dragon rambles.
Charlie sulks a bit in his chair. “Dragons are cool,” he mutters.
“Maybe another time, Charlie,” Arthur says, smile still on his face. Charlie perks up a bit at that and nods. Arthur doesn’t mind listening to Charlie ramble—he knows what it’s like to have your passions thought of as weird and wants to give Charlie an outlet somewhere.
“Fred! George!” The two boys yelp at Molly’s loud exclamation. “You’ve barely eaten! Is there something wrong with the food?”
Both boys wildly shake their heads and begin to comically scoop large portions of shepherd’s pie into their mouths. Ginny laughs, but Molly purses her lips and gives Arthur a look. He nods slightly—the boys probably got into some food store and ate before dinner. He’ll have to look for that chocolate for Percy’s birthday cake he hid. That seems like the most likely thing they ate.
Conversation goes from there. Percy rambles a bit about receiving his Hogwarts acceptance letter and gets a proper congratulations for it. Bill talks about the classes he needs while Charlie valiantly tries to talk about dragons once more.
Dragon talk gets derailed by a long discussion about Quidditch after Fred makes a comment about something that happened earlier in the day. This draws in almost the whole family—only Percy and Molly stay quiet.
Arthur shares a smile with Molly as the discussion gets particularly lively. For all the still mornings they see and how much he enjoys those quiet moments, nothing beats the lively debates that happen at dinner where they are all together, as a family.

*vibrating at a frequency only dogs can hear* FINALLYYYYY I have a chance to talk about them!! i’ve given little details on and off the server but no one’s asked me to elaborate so forgive me if i go a little wild here oof
so i’m planning a series of oneshots called Team Avatar, and it will consist of little moments of each avatar’s, well, Team Avatar. We know of only four canon Team Avatars, so the others will be pretty much all OCs. The ones I’m currently working on are Yangchen’s and Roku’s squads, or as I decided to call them in a 2am vision, the Gang-chen and the Ro-krew.
*ba-dum-tssss*
ok i’ll stop being a geek and get on topic. I also planned to give some of the avatars siblings, and sure enough, roku and yangchen are the ones i did that to. Since you sent 6 pens, I’ll give 6 details about each of the Ava-Sibs. Arbitrary and lame idea? Maybe, but it’s a good writing exercise, I was taught last year.
For Yangchen, I wanted to make her the baby of the family, so I gave her two older brothers. The oldest brother, I named Khetsun.
1. He loved picking up Yangchen when she was little. He does it as an adult when he wants to annoy her a little.
2. His regular job was making fruit pies and other similar baked goods at a bakery he opened up a short flight away from the Eastern Air Temple.
3. He was in a poly relationship with a nonbender woman and an enby from Omashu.
4. He got his tattoos after creating a new airbending move where you use wind to make a slide. It was used therefore after as a way to save someone from falling, but Khetsun created it to transport trays of desserts from table to table.
5. He loved to travel, and he always wrote his family telling them all about the places he went and the things he experienced.
6. He’s a bit secretive, and it takes awhile to get him to open up, but he cares so much for his people.
The middle brother, I named Passang.
1. He got his tattoos first out of all the kids. They were all talented in their own ways, but he practiced a lot.
2. His regular job was a veterinarian for bison, flying lemurs, and other animals any Air Nomads found and took care of.
3. He was aromantic and never got married to anyone. He told Yangchen before anyone else.
4. He had a bit of a temper, but it was nothing compared to his sister’s.
5. He had always felt closest to Yangchen. Passang loved his whole family, of course, but she was his confidante, and he hers. While he did tease her a fair amount, they had very few big fights.
6. In contrast to Khetsun’s introversion, Passang is more extroverted and can sometimes be an oversharer. He would be the guy that sits next to someone on public transport and by the time he hits his stop, gets invited to his seatmate’s baby shower.
So that’s Yangchen’s brothers, they’re a pretty cool bunch. Admittedly I haven’t spent as much time on her Team Avatar as Roku’s, but I’m going backwards from Korra and his will appear sooner than hers.
Moving right along, I’ve elected to make Roku an eldest sibling, and gave him a younger sister, whom I named Kami.
1. She’s a flaming homosexual (literally), and she falls for her best friend since before they could walk. Rangi was pretty much her hero.
2. The two of them were also friends with Ta Min, the woman Roku later marries. So Kami’s seen the mutual pining from both sides and, at her desperate pleas to suck it up and ask the other out, whoever she’s teasing will immediately call the best friend over. It shuts her down pretty quick.
3. She is technically Roku’s first cousin, but they were raised by the same family at young ages, so they think of each other as brother and sister and definitely bicker like such.
4. Deep down, she used to wish it was her who got all the elements and the past lives and the Avatar State. After Roku returned prematurely from learning the elements due to [REDACTED], she proclaimed she was relieved it wasn’t her, but still secretly worried for him.
5. Once Sozin made his law criminalizing gay marriage, she and her fiancée moved to the Water Tribe.
6. She had a very sharp memory and loved reading, as her mother was the palace librarian, but possessed very little common sense. She’s the living embodiment of “fuck around and find out.” A hereditary quality, as it turns out.
So that’s all you probably want to hear right now, but more asks are welcome if you want to hear more!!

Meet the Siblings
Sakura Haruno
Being the middle child, she's not only the glue but the peacemaker, since someone needs to rein in Naruto and keep Sasuke from disappearing off to nowhere. Uses a cat spray bottle to help rein them in.
She sometimes feels forgotten with how much drama the two cause but it never lasts for long.
She’s definitely the tough love sibling, the kind who will threaten to kill the other two, if they touch her stuff but deep down she loves them both.
Her parents work a lot, so she’s typically left in charge, something that annoys Sasuke. But Naruto uses as a ploy to have the two play with him. They both reluctantly respect her authority though.
Best friends with Ino, a person she’s always on the phone with and in the process always hogging up all the bandwidth!
She is one of the best students in her grade, and also the only one who’s willing to help the two with their homework.
Spends most of her time outside, volunteering at the local children’s hospital, partly because she wants to work there when she grows up. And partly because she wants to help. (Ino sometimes goes with her).
Has to use the bathroom first, because Naruto is messy and Sasuke takes his sweet time, because he can.
She looks up to doctor Tsunade, and has made a poster of her she has hanged in her closet.
Naruto Uzumaki
Say hello to the youngest and the most energetic.
He’s always causes some kind of chaos, be it a prank or a joke, he’s up to something. When he was younger he used to act out a lot more, but since having Sakura as his sibling, he has learned to tone it down. (Still lands himself in detention twice a month though.)
Always trying to get the other two to play with him, it can be overbearing but luckily if he can see the two are busy he tries his best to go play by himself. (Which is very hard)
Family game nights where his idea, an idea he has to pretty much drag everyone to the table to agree on. He doesn’t like being alone for long and now that he has a family, he doesn’t want to be alone period.
He’s very much the sporty kid, never standing still in one place for long, if it’s nice out, then he’s out.
He’s always kind of covered in dirt, be it from outside or not, be careful when hugging him.
Is on the school’s cross country team as well as the school’s baseball team.
Loves to yell “I’m home” when he comes back from school.
Calls Sakura’s parents “Mom and Dad”.
Sasuke Uchiha
Last but certainly not least, it’s Sasuke Uchiha the eldest sibling as well as the gloomiest.
You never know when he’s around because, he’s always gone. (Naruto can find him though.)
He’s the kind of student who figured out the school grade system and just half asses everything and still gets good grades.
He’s doesn’t care for spotlight but always ends up getting it anyway. (Girls and guys alike and they’re both pains to him.)
Never calls Sakura’s parents his parents, because his will always be dead. No replacements. But he has called Naruto his brother on occasion and Sakura his sister on accident. (Denies this to his grave)
He’s not apart of any clubs and just listens to music while eating tomatoes; he will just go on runs randomly for an undecided amount of time, he sometimes brings Naruto with him, if he need competition.
Doesn’t want friends, doesn’t need friends, even if he gets lonely
Can be found eating Naruto and Sakura’s snacks at 3 am.
Will skip school to go to the school library, never gets caught and has only been to detention once.

The Venturi Family
I wanted to make a post about my MC’s family, since their reactions to some parts of the gameplay have been noodling around in my brain. Only the immediate family though.
Jacob Derek Venturi
FC Michael Seater
Jacob was the first born son of Abigail Rowle and George Venturi, and the older brother of Edwin and Marti Venturi. He was the one out of his siblings to spend the most time with his parents together and while their separation was hard for him to deal with at first he started noticing his mother was in a better mood and overall better to be around after the separation. Jacob was four years old when his little brother Edwin was born and ten years old when Marti was born, as such his relationships with them were different. With Edwin they were more brothers than anything and often he teased him as much as played with him and bossed him around. Marti however due to him being younger and their parents separating when she was still in diapers he became much more a doting older brother. He did however care about and was protective of both his siblings.
He had a good relationship with his parents though he was a bit closer to his father because of him keeping custody of him and his siblings. Abby visited and kept him for weekends so overall he was fairly affectionate and close to both of them. He knew he could get away with more with his father since out of the two, he was a bit more lax in parenting and could often take advantage of that though since the separation was civil they tended to stick together when he was -inevitably- punished for something [ ‘’why can’t you not get along like most divorced parents..yeah i know grounded.’’]
Personality-wise Jacob was charismatic and outgoing, which gained him a lot of friends wherever he went. Having been an only child for four years and then still the eldest, and been born to fairly young parents who could be said to be a bit soft on him, he grew up with the mentality that he could get get away with things if he just figured out how to get what he wanted. He was sneaky and a bit snarky and was known for pulling pranks and getting in trouble but it was mostly kid stuff..until his alleged involvement with [Redacted] after his disappearance came through. He was known in his time at school as an affable and charismatic kid, if a bit known for getting Howlers and well acquainted with the detention process.
Due to how long he has been missing. ( he was sixteen when he went missing and would have been twenty one as of Marti’s first year.) The case of his disappearance has more or less gone cold.
George Antonio Venturi
FC: John Ralston
gif by yours truly
George works as an wizard attorney. He’s an alumni of Hufflepuff house and married one of his closest friends ( Abigail) straight out of Hogwarts. This was done partly so that Abigail could escape an incredibly toxic home. However, if you asked him he’d say at the time he did love her.
It became apparent however as time passed ( and three children were born) their marriage seemed to become strained. They separated with George keeping custody of the kids.
Due to his own strict upbringing, he has a very lax style of parenting, often trying to be their kids friend as well as parent: ( More so with Jacob than Ed and Marti since Jacob caught him younger) an approach he also takes with his step children. While this can often catch him criticism there’s no question his children adore him.
He was really close to his son Jacob and losing him was absolutely devastating to him. If it wasn’t for his other two kids he might as well not have been able to keep going.
His dating and marriage to Nora was something he was hesitant about ( not in the least because there were children involved on both sides but also because of how badly losing his son had hit him) but it has helped him move forward after all the grief he experienced.
Abigail Leticia Rowle
FC : Amy Adams
Abigail comes from a highly extremist and toxic family. The Rowles affiliated with Voldemort during the first wizarding war and had very high expectations of the children of their house. For Abigail, Hogwarts was an escape; one that she knew wouldn’t last long as she would have to leave upon graduation. This is something that she knows influenced her decision to marry one of her best friend from Hogwarts who ( as a pureblood wizard) was also acceptable for her family and so wouldn’t bring retribution for them.
There’s no doubt she loved George but as time passed she realized she was’t happy. She had spent all her life in survival mode due to her parents and now that she was out she was starting to realize how much it influenced her decision. She loved her children, but she slowly realized she could not be a good parent to them in the state she was in.
She separated from George ( after making sure her family could not contact her about it) and more or less gave him full custody of their 3 kids with her doing visits to spend time with them.
Her friendship with George survived this and they were still friends as exes and able to coparent ( though undoubtedly George did more as he had full custody, this was okay with both of them) However, Jacob’s disappearance put a strain in it neither one has been able to mend. Like George, Abby blames herself for how things with Jacob turned out and when things were at their worst they couldn’t help but project that blame to each other. She still visits Ed and Marti but her interactions with George are much more brief and cold.
Edwin Alphonse Venturi
FC : Chris Wood
Jacob and Marti’s middle sibling and George and Abby’s middle child. Edwin was born when Jacob was 4-5 and is also 4-5 years older than Marti ( so is in his 5th year as of her first year and graduates after her second year) He’s a Ravenclaw and a foil to his extroverted outgoing little sister. Edwin is much more likely to be found buried in books than around people. Due to Jacob’’s loss ( which happened in when he was 10-11) and how much it affected him he is fiercely protective of his family. ( which Marti sometimes finds annoying though she is just as protective of him even if it shows less/differently )
He and Marti have a very “dork” “brat” relationship though they also have each other’s back unconditionally as they share the title of “Jacob’s sibling”
Unlike Marti tough, the wants to move on from Jacob and all the pain it caused him and as the game progresses is likely to react Badly to her thinking she can find him. Their beliefs about Jacob and reactions to his disappearance and rumors thereafter are already a strain between them as of year one. (Considering Plot happens from then on it’s safe to say it’ll only grow. )
10 facts about Edwin
Elizabeth Blair -Lizzie- Mcdonald
FC: Jordan Todosey
Lizzie is a Hufflepuff and also Marti and Edwin’s step sister and George’s step daughter. She is Nora’s youngest daughter and how Nora met George. She’s the only witch in her family and became best friends with Edwin shortly after their families blended ( actually George and Nora met Because they were both school shopping and Nora looked understandably lost ) She also has a pretty good big sister/little sister relationship with Marti. She’s in Edwin’s year and like him will have graduated as of Marti’s second year.
Lizzie’s the embodiment of Hufflepuff’s traits of kindness and tolerance ( and patience, enough to befriend Edwin at his angriest) .She’s supportive of her family and friends and tends to be the voice of reason for whichever sibling she’s with. Her two main loves are animals and quiditch. She plays as a beater for the Hufflepuff team. She also has enough pets ( both magical and not) George jokingly got her zoo sign to put on her bedroom door. ( Marti liking snakes is absolutely her influence) She’s likely to wind up working in Magizoology.
Nora Jean Mcdonald.
FC: Emily Deschanel
The stepmother to Edwin and Marti Venturi and wife to George Venturi. Nora was introduced to the magical world when her youngest daughter turned 12 and received her Hogwarts letter. She started dating George when Edwin and Lizzie were 13 and Marti was 8. She adores her husband and his kids and from the get-go made a point to treat them as her own.
Cassandra Imogen Mcdonald
FC: Cassidy Freeman
Nora’s first daughter. Her mother married George Venturi when she was 17-18. Went to an all girls school while her sister went to Hogwarts. As such she doesn’t have much interaction with the magical world or her stepsiblings, though she was exposed to it before moving out of her parent’s house. She does keep in touch with them though even if she’s more distant. She lives with her girlfriend Emily Davis ( fc Madeleine Mantock) in muggle Brittain. She cares a lot about her mom and little sister, and is happy they have people to help them through everything that comes from navigating the magical world.
Pets
Ozzie the Owl
Ozzy belonged to Jacob and was named after a musician he liked. After Jacob’s disappearance he was almost given away by a grief stricken George but was saved by Edwin. He resides with Edwin in Ravenclaw tower and is for all intents and purposes his owl.
Mickey the Snake
Mickey is a grass snake ( a smooth snake specifically) that was found hurt by Marti on one of her visits to her mother. After he was nursed back to health Marti decided to keep him. He lives in Marti’s room. Marti’s very attached to him.
Ignoring Lizzie’s pets because as said before that would take a whole nother post.
#im not super happy with some of the actresses but overall i dig this#George also has a short eared owl he uses#but I havent figure out his name yet#Jacob's Sibling#Marti Beatrice Venturi#HPHM#this was my first time making a gif like ever

in which i have a lot of words to say about @storyweaverofgondor ‘s “Tugger is older than Munkustrap” theory
so here is my take:
((brief note: i don’t think tribe members spend all their time in the Junkyard, of course. they all have lives outside of it and do their own thing and have experiences. i realized a lot of the way this is written makes it sound like they’re always there. it’s important for me to mention, i reckon, that Tugger and Macavity spend a decent amount of time on the outside, as it directly influences so many of their attributes. wink wonk.))
i imagine Tugger is very keen. like i mentioned in the post, he can read people very well. he liked to people watch, and still does, and in it he picked up some good skills in figuring others out. this was one of the things that Deut saw in him that would make him a valuable protector: Tugger watched.
Deut saw Tugger become a chameleon. it wasn’t that his open and bold personality was fake. he was very genuine; what you see is what you get. because of that, it was harder for other Jellicles to regard him as someone capable of appropriate seriousness. he couldn’t at all be certain how intuitive Tugger was to some of these opinions, but considering his hidden talents, it’d probably been common knowledge to him for a long time.
i think Tugger had shown initiative more than a handful of times. older members of the tribe gossiped and sighed about him, but could not ignore that he would make a fine Protector. it was a lot of back and forth. Tugger didn’t mind; all the talk was interesting. he’d take it back to Deut and they’d have a laugh about it, or maybe a frank discussion followed by heavy awkwardness in knowing what in Tugger’s future.
he loved the idea of being the Protector. “proving” others wrong didn’t matter to him; it wasn’t ever about that. Tugger embodied “i don’t give two shits about anyone’s opinion”. he was self-assured, very easygoing, sincere; things rolled right off his back. if they didn’t, well— you’d never know. the eldest was patient and calm, no matter what his ostentatious personality had to say about it. he’s level headed.
Tugger and Macavity have had a really strange relationship. they’re about two years apart. from the very beginning they’d been side-eyeing one other. it seemed like they never quite thought what to make of his brother. they didn’t outright hate each other at any one point. they didn’t have explosive arguments. they didn’t have any really big problems. (just the little ones; Tugger used Mac’s favorite cup, Mac wouldn’t stop touching Tugger’s stuff, Tugger sneezed, Mac had the audacity have more fun with a toy than Tugger did, dad make him stop staring at me, well he stared at me first! etc was a part of their kitten years.)
as they got older, they still appeared to be having some trouble processing each other. for all terms and purposes their relationship just looked strange. they always looked kind of leery of the other. ask Tugger about it, he’d just shrug and say, ‘i dunno.’ ask Mac about it, he’d just shrug and dismissively say, ‘okay.’ try to probe any more and one would get a wealth of shrugging.
it kind of drove Deut up the wall. he tried many times to pin it to the easy fact and conclusion that they were two very, very different people. there was some hope that their eccentricities were just some weird, long “phase”. that was opinion based how sometimes he’d find them curled up together. they’d have the same bored or vaguely annoyed expressions but seem as content as can be having a cuddle in silence. sometimes Tugger would be asleep, Macavity leaning on him while he read, or they’d be awake and simply sitting there in total silence, the tips of their tails gently tapping to prove they were feeling just fine.
they clearly enjoyed each other in their own way. they also seemed to prefer each other’s company in privacy. Deut had commented on it, and asked them first: why do they hide away like this, and second: if they truly are friendly, then why do they act so strangely around each other?
and predictably, all he got were shrugs.
Deut could never, ever figure them out, and he swore it would drive him batshit insane. this behavior continued well into their teens.
when Munkustrap came about, Tugger was seven and Macavity five. considering how the two acted already, there was reasonable concern about how they’d treat Munkustrap. as it turned out, there was exactly nothing to be worried about.
a switch flipped in each of them. Tugger played the adoring, protective big brother. he sat with his baby brother and played with him, kept an eye on him, helped where he could, got cranky when he wasn’t allowed to. Tugger doted on him. he learned how to hold him, and while he grew he was happy to take him and show him around. “Well,” some started to agree, “he’ll make an incredible father when the time comes.”
Macavity was much the same, but on a more subdued level. Deut noticed this about his middle child: Macavity was low-key, just like Tugger, but his version of it was calculating. that’s how he thought Macavity regarded his older brother - he was curious, shrewd.. and something he couldn’t put a word to.
but with Munkustrap, Macavity was seemed enchanted. Deut saw Macavity look at his little brother like he was amazed by him. for all of Macavity’s weirdness, the way he accepted Munkustrap kept their father’s anxieties at a minimum. Macavity was just as interested in helping raise this little kitten as Tugger was. in fact, Tugger and Macavity seemed to bond over Munkustrap.
if anyone could explain that to Deut, he’d really love to hear it.
(of course there were some petty fights over their little brother he had to break up and appropriately console, but such is the nature of youngin’s and fatherhood.)
Munkustrap grew up absolutely spoiled by attention from his siblings. in his earliest years he became their shadow. now and then he’d get upset because he couldn’t follow both of them at the same time; they went different directions! but for as much as the older two lavished adoration on him, Munkustrap’s bratty phase was short-lived.
as the big brothers grew, their maturity followed along. they showed great social, mental, and emotional awareness alongside their occasional nonsensical meltdowns, baffling “logic”, and poor filter management. (as expected.) one of their changes was thought of as their biggest, since everyone knew they’d pretty much outright claimed Munkustrap the moment they laid eyes on him - they started to encourage independence.
it had a rocky start, of course. and it had rocky middles. and it had rocky weeks. but Tugger and Macavity worked damningly well together. there was enough worry already that Munkustrap would develop codependence. for a while there, it seemed like the damage was already done. and then it was undone.
Deut added that mystery to the ever-expanding list of things he’ll never understand about his sons.
the protective nature in Tugger didn’t come when Munkustrap was born. that trait developed when he was younger and all he had was Macavity. it was something that gradually became something for Deut to scrutinize as each year passed.
Tugger grew to his teens, developed his personality, honed his talents, watched over his brothers. Macavity grew to his teens, came out of his strange, guarded shell; he talked (a lot, but maybe it only seemed that way since he was sometimes bordering on mute before), he participated and he had energy (and yet, there was something about him..). Munkustrap finally hit double digits, and he took after both his brothers’ confidence, their energy; and as it turned out, he was kinda bossy. Munkustrap had a lot of ideas about many things and wanted it to go perfectly.
Macavity and Munkustrap have some memories that entail Tugger stepping up to the plate. there was a particular event, though that made the biggest impact.
but first, i imagine that there were other senior guardians at the time. being a Protector was an entirely different ballgame; the position was unfilled, for Protector was generally reserved for the heir. so while it waited for the right one at the right time, a team of guardians shared the duties.
Tugger was about seventeen then. Macavity was just a little younger, about fifteen, and Munkustrap being around ten. their age differences definitely influenced their relationships.
there was a problem one night. nobody can really agree about who it was or why they did it. whatever group it was that invaded the Junkyard did it on a rainy night. many were tucked away, glad to get comfortable and avoid the rain. the guardians were at their posts or patrolling, weather be damned.
there was a lot of commotion, then screaming, then clattering. naturally available guardians rushed to the scene and others poked their heads out. what ensued was a horrible attack on the tribe and it seemed like its purpose was meant for the worse. (Deut thought a lot about it and he suspected it was a territorial overthrow. the Junkyard was a pretty desirable fortress. many times before he’d dealt with some heat in the background, hostile even; but never this brazen.)
the brothers had been riding out the storm together. Munkustrap ran his mouth at his brothers, making up stories and telling them his personal opinions (for the 15th time that day. maybe more. no one was counting.). Tugger engaged him with expressions and the ‘oh yeah?’ ‘uh huh’ ‘oohh’s to show he was listening. Macavity was more interested in hoping Munkustrap would tire himself out and shut up and go to sleep. but in the meantime, he’d work on his needlepoint.
(a few of the older Jellicle generation saw some behaviors in him that were not only frustrating for Macavity himself, but certainly others. they were relieved that needlepoint seemed to refocus and calm him down; he could keep his hands busy and though his mind could wander, projects needed his constant attention. it wasn’t all roses, but it was working well for the time being.)
when the disturbances started, the three of them all stopped and listened. there was more; still, they only listened. when there was a scream, Munkustrap bolted for the outside. Tugger was hot on his heels, and Macavity a few paces behind. the confusion and the rain had everyone disorganized and running about, the guardians struggling to corral tribal members while picking out the infiltrators. Munkustrap idolized the guardians and naturally he wanted to step up and help.
the brothers were separated in the chaos. the natural leadership and protective instinct kicked right in for Tugger and thanks to that, combined with his likewise innate level head, he was able to quickly work out a plan. he wanted to restore enough order to get a start on safe evacuation to another part of the Junkyard and try to order guardians to pair and hold fast.
this was all easier said than done, and it had a lot of holes and problems during the situation - that’s simply the reality of these scenarios. one of the bigger ones was due to being a young age (17) and not really displaying outright leadership qualities (as his developing version was laid back and mostly through suggestion). he wasn’t actively training to work as a guardian. right then, he was more of a liability. Tugger butted heads with guardians and wasted precious time, so he took initiative and did things his own way, though his method allowed him to try to work with the guardians. it was noted, and clumsily following through with Tugger’s impromptu, shot-in-the-dark system helped in the long run.
later there would be due credit given to Tugger for his actions. his dedication to his tribe came loud and clear (making the ones who were personally a part of that side of the ordeal rethink some of their opinions on him) but his main priority were his brothers and father. Deuteronomy was already being protected out in the rain, where he was still rather vulnerable, but too stubborn to immediately get to a safe place until he was certain every member left was there first. and he waited for his sons. he tried to keep an eye on Tugger, he thinks he saw Macavity, and little Munkustrap had been just a glimpse.
Tugger’s report later consisted of intentionally simple facts. he seemed reluctant to give the full story. Deut eventually allowed it; whatever happened between the start of it all to the brothers’ arrival to the safe house left the three so affected that the tribe saw the impact for years.
what happened, condensed, was this: Tugger found the two of them in what looked like an actual life or death scenario. one of their attackers held Munkustrap so tightly to their chest that bruising and a suspected cracked rib could have been the fault of this while Macavity was on aggressive offense/defense. the would-be abductor was clever and seemed to be trying to use Munkustrap as a meat-shield to ward him off.
Tugger quickly gauged the scene and jumped in at, he hoped, the right time. for the most part, he got his timing and method of attack right. he couldn’t plan for anything at all otherwise, of course. he thought that Macavity recognized not only him, but that he was there to help get Munkustrap back. (they didn’t talk about it to clarify afterwards. it was best not to.) whether or not any of that had truth, Tugger found out what this 15-year-old was capable of.
the whole event was traumatic for the three of them. that aside, the younger two saw a fierce, fearless protector in Deut’s eldest son (as did others). Tugger some gained trust and admiration and he only cared about the kind that came from his kin.
after that he admittedly looked forward to joining the ranks and filling that vacant role. he started training. Munkustrap emulated him, declaring that he too would guard Jellicle territory one day.
Macavity’s exile came and went. dynamic between the remaining brothers changed; their personalities took a different turn. Tugger’s dedication to such a physical and mental position declined. Munkustrap’s escalated. there was quite a lot of disappointment when Tugger started to lose interest and gusto in it. Munkustrap’s disappointment hurt the most, but he knew this was best for the tribe. Tugger stepped down for good.
in watching Munkustrap grow up, Tugger felt guilty and worried for him. maybe he’d been too brash about his decision. since there was no taking it back, the best he could do was advise. at first, Munkustrap seemed to have some reservations about listening to said advice. they argued a bit, Tugger accused him of being pretentious, Munkustrap called him a coward. their tension was sensed by others and Deut attempted to sit them both down and clear the air. this was a sore spot that they needed to remedy themselves, and it took a good deal of time to smooth the edges out again.
when that finally happened, Munkustrap began to ask for Tugger’s insight. while the tabby was passionately devoted to his tribe and its future, he lacked the astuteness of his kin. Tugger provided what he could. his area of expertise truly lay in strategizing. he bore a valuable skill that, in this particular tribe, was rare and unmatched. because his people-reading, intuition, and forethought sharpened by the day, he was able to guide Munkustrap to consider avenues he hadn’t thought of before. it improved the youngest’s executions and helped him advance.
Tugger settled into himself. he continued to be authentic, now feeling more free to do so without such a heavy expectation on his shoulders. concern never stopped gnawing at him about Munkustrap, however. since Macavity left, it seemed that Munkustrap gradually developed a persona, and Tugger hated that it was there at all. he blamed Macavity for it.
this persona was the upbeat, charismatic, congenial and zealous nature he was known for. Munkustrap’s storytelling was always evolving; it was his passion and pride. this isn’t to say that all of this was a facade. all mentioned is his legitimate self. what irked Tugger was how he bumped all of it up to 11 - or even 20. knowing his little brother so well, it could seem too try-hard and almost satirical. Deut noticed and felt somewhat the same from what Tugger gleaned off him. they both decided to chalk it up to Munkustrap still being young (about 20s, now) and figuring things out and, well - he did need a certain persona to do his work. maybe they were overthinking it and simply needed to be patient.
now they’re much older. the tribe has accepted new members, seen others age, put some to rest. ((NOTE: i believe that there are many more Jellicles than depicted in the show. who we see is just a fraction. i can explain why in another post if there’s any interest.)) the brothers’ relationship improved. they admired each other, played their jokes, had their feuds, got frustrated, and that was all par for the course of brotherhood. (their seven year age difference also had something to do with it.) Munkustrap filled the role that’d been waiting for him all along. the tribe was, is, proud of and to have him. he doesn’t need Tugger’s perspective as much these days, though he’s is the first person Munkustrap turns to when he does, and Tugger is all too happy to provide.
between then to now there had been some trouble here and there. though there are a collection of guardians on regular watch and assist, Tugger had occasionally been unable to only do background (though no less important) work. deep within him he was still a protector. when the type of situation arose in which his more present involvement, even in small scale, was absolutely necessary in his mind, Munkustrap was glad that he got to see the side of his brother that he revered (and mourned) so much.
they only wished Macavity’s future had kept him with them.
