@president-alpine I know you intended this for my sideblog and more for a general Doc Ock & Mysterio.. but this is all I could think to answer it, I hope you don't mind?

Anyways, here's my Beck working together with my Otto to create a new "Doc Ock costume". It was Beck's idea to try and spice up his look lol It's comfortable and practical and has a bit of octopus motifs if you look closely!

Otto does prefer simple, practical, and comfortable. He's not really a glitz and glamor type. And while he doesn't exactly see why he would really need a new outfit when his old one works just fine, Beck insisted he make something for him.

Beck couldn't help himself but add the extra pizzazz of textures/patterns into the costume, but he toned them down a bit so it's not too much. He wanted to really tap into Otto's "Doc Ock" title and add octopus elements, but Otto thought it'd be too much. The results are what they finally settled on!

One of our guests from The Empire decided he wanted to hang around, and I have to admit I do have a soft spot for Hussars who join us out of the blue (thanks to Henry from the Animist Alliance), so we accepted him gladly.

You know, for lore purposes, I'm going to say that the only reason Curly was allowed to stay despite following a different religion is because colony leader Vasso has a soft spot for gay guys with moustaches.

Obviously, nobody could be better than Laursen, but Curly is decent eye candy, too.

ok so the twin theory regarding yuuji and sukuna doesn't make sense to me in a literal sense but there are some aspects of it that... just make too much sense. the theory might turn out to be true in a way. they can still be twins or like twins... just not blood related ones. well maybe yuuji is a part of sukuna's bloodline considering how similar wasuke looks like to og sukuna or why yuuji has pink hair so in that case they would be blood related.. just not blood related twins. I think it might have more to do with their souls and how they've come to coexist together when they were sharing the same body.

yuuji and sukuna being twins no because they're blood related siblings but because of their souls would be such a interesting twist considering the connection between the soul and the body in jjk world. maybe kejaku feed gave yuuji a part of sukuna's soul or created him using a part of sukuna's soul. mahito stated that 'the soul should always exist before the body' and 'the shape of the body will always be depended on the shape of the soul' by that logic it would mean that the body is like a container in which the soul resides and once the body dies the soul can no longer live in it. Im not gonna dive into that rabbit hole and speculate the physics behind it but the baseline is that there is a deep connection between body and soul. they're intertwined in some very unique way and we already know that there must be a connection between yuuji and sukuna's souls as they were able to coexist in one body. you could even say that in a way they were like conjoined twins, sharing and inhabiting the same flesh... ALSO there’s this very subtle imagery of yuuji and sukuna's souls being conjoined together so y'know...

I think what I'm trying to say is that yuuji and sukuna might not be (blood-related) twins but maybe their souls are.

I’ll take a break from mudi posting to do a small brag on the zoi. They switched off winning BOB each show and were in the group ribbons against comp every time! Margo earned a group 2 and 4, and Kram earned two group 3s. This finishes Kram’s comp wins so he just needs one more weekend of points to get his UKC championship.

How does Wukomg react to being betrayed by the people he thought he could trust? How did Macaque betray Wukong? What are the consequences of these differences that can be seen to the modern day? Is Nezha in the au? I definitely do not have a favourite

first and foremost: the Ivory Lady is Lady Bone Demon before she went against Heaven to start her "journey" to complete her destiny.

When Wukong realizes people are betraying him — the first time isn't too bad, more or less, because he's sort-of betrayed by the Jade Emperor since he was lied to about his status. Second time is by Azure when he realizes he only used him to start a war against Heaven to try and take the Emperor's throne which cuts him deep enough to attack the Jade Emperor himself (directed blame/hate), third is by Erlang when he prevents Wukong from killing the Jade Emperor and the final one is by Macaque, which... kills a part of Wukong, ngl.

Nezha is involved in the AU and it's actually part of the reason why Wukong goes more berserk in the war against Heaven than he originally did.

Something, something, "you're just a boy... why is there a boy here, Azure, why did you send me to fight a child—"

(as for Macaque betraying Wukong, it involves a very selfish act based off the idea that Wukong was visited by Macaque when he was trapped under the mountain but those interactions were bitter)

Those consequences are... very evident in how people (yaoguai and yaojing included) see Wukong as an anti-hero instead of a normal hero. He's got a reputation of being powerful and praised, sure, but they're also terrified of him

The rings of power cast look like normal people. THANK GOD I’m glad! I’m sick of people working and pushing their bodies to an extreme amount to look ‘desirable’ in media, I’m frustrated that people have to be exceptionally pretty to be in things! You can just look normal, that’s okay lol.

Weird confession, probably an unpopular opinion, but: I actually like a lot of the concepts and basic designs behind the costumes in the Rings of Power series more than I like the concepts and basic designs behind the costume in the PJ Lord of the Rings films (with the costumes for the rohirrim and the people in Gondor being the exception). Don’t get me wrong, the costumes in the PJ Lord of the Rings series look amazing. They’re gorgeous and, on the whole, better made than the Rings of Power costumes. It’s just that the there’s something very dungeons and dragonsy about the PJ Lord of the Rings costumes (especially for the elves), and I know that’s because there was a twenty year feedback loop where there was a slight DnD-ness to the PJ Lord the the Rings elf outfits which then just became standard Elf Clothes in LOTR fanart which then fed back into the people making art for the DnD handbooks, but still. And I’ll admit I’m biased—it just so happens that that aesthetic is one I don’t particularly like. So seeing the costumes in Rings of Power make a clean break from that was really refreshing. And they mostly look like clothes people would wear. And I love the ideas in the designs! Elrond’s brown cloak with the feathers? That’s a sweet little tribute to his mom. The gold dust makeup on Disa’s hands and her robe (which honestly looked better in action than it did in the promo shots)? Neat concept. Tar-Miriel’s crown (and all of her outfits, actually)? Stunning. I’m in love. I just wish the designers and costume makers had been given all the time they needed to really make every costume look as good as they probably looked in their heads.
