this was legit the first thing that came to my mind when I saw these lol

but in all seriousness, I love how yuuji is looking down on sukuna. this is the type of power play I like to see in media. I was really hoping that gege would give us something like that and as always he DELIVERED.

for one I can’t get over how majestic and menacing yuuji looks on his cover and just how whorish bratty sukuna looks in comparison. I mean the tongue, him pulling back his tummy mouth to show his teeth and the sparkles in the middle… how am I supposed to take this man?? this child of a man seriously?

and lastly I gotta love how a big part of the fandom collectively came to the conclusion that the only way to describe sukuna on this cover is a “slut”. I totally support this movement btw.

looking back at kenjaku’s character, I think they have got to be one of the most accurate depiction of someone who lived for 1000 years. they’re not only more skilled, knowledgeable and experienced but they also have the traits that typically indicate that there’s a clear age gap between younger and older people in real life. 

for one, kenjaku has ex partners, tengen and jin (but they’re the only ones WE know of). kenjaku actually has children, quite A LOT of them. majority most likely dead and some old enough to be tabaka’s age (who is cough cough kenny’s current partner cough cough). kenjaku also has moments where they take on a ‘parental’ slash authoritative role when dealing with much younger folks than them, like in the case of the curse family or in yuuji and (yes) even choso’s case. 

So it feels really refreshing that kenjaku wasn’t designed to be older figuratively, which is sadly often the case in today’s media, but to be older LITERALLY. and to be older, MUCH OLDER, doesn’t only mean to be more knowledgeable and skilled but to also have relationship experience of someone who’s past their 40s multiplied by 100 years. 

that’s who’s makes kenny’s character feel so authentic to me. that’s how imagine the life of someone who lived for 1000 years to actually look like.

me when i spend a long time drawing something that really does not look good at all and is honestly too ugly to want to share with anybody but i still recognize that it was worth the time and effort because i still gained practice and experience from it that will contribute toward improving my skills
