I check my notifications way too fucking much. It's a habit I'm trying to curb, and to my credit, I am doing better lately, but being chemically predisposed to dopamine deficiencies has done a number on my ability to go five minutes without checking the funny glowing numbers on my phone. Naturally, I also very much seek more validation than I should from the opinions of strangers yadayadayada yeah that's what the song is about but none of that actually has to do with why I started writing this song in the first place.

Have you ever taken a flight with American Airlines?

This was after waking up at 4 in the morning to fly out of Houston thinking I'd be napping on a couch in Ohio by 2 pm at the latest.

I want to make one thing clear here, and that's that I made this bed for myself. Tucked the sheets in and all. You see, on the rare occasions I fly, I normally take Southwest. Southwest does not overbook flights like a lot of other airlines do, so it's a practice I am mostly unfamiliar with. So, when I received a notification on my phone promising genuinely ridiculous amounts of flight credit money in exchange for taking a slightly later flight, I thought - well, shit! That sounds nice!

This is how they trick you. I didn't really realize I'd been tricked until I was on my second flight of the day, sitting in a middle seat at the very back of the plane, heading from Dallas, a city I don't live in, to Washington, DC, a city I was not trying to get to, staring down the barrel of another flight I was destined to get on that had been delayed like two fucking hours.

I became the Joker. All I could do to remain sane was write a song about it. This is how ROT FOR CLOUT came to be.

I guess the moral of the story is this: Don't go to Ohio. And to answer your question,

This is a complete sidenote but I want to mention it here: I'm genuinely overjoyed at the amount of people excitedly talking about my songwriting or the intention behind my lyrics. For a long time, it really felt like lyricism was the last thing people cared about from me, while it was always the thing I wanted to take pride in the most... So genuinely, thank you everyone for caring!! Every single fire emoji people have put next to a line I've written has extended my lifespan by multiple years

There's a brief little moment where the song's chords leave the key, doing a really stereotypically jazzy 2-5 movement, and it's one of my favorite parts of the entire song. I'm not really a music theory buff or anything, and I'm certainly not formally trained, but I've always been very passionate about more complicated harmony in otherwise poppy and accessible contexts - bo en's album pale machine really rewrote my brain when I first heard it.

On that note, there are microtones in the vocal melody - During the chorus, some of the rapidly repeated words move up in quarter tones! Possibly the simplest way I could've included microtonality, but I'm genuinely afraid if I learn more than what I already know about it I'll be lost to the darkness.

Obviously, the work of Sasuke Haraguchi was a massive influence on this song, particularly the song Igaku. I think basically everyone on the entire planet has picked up on that at this point, but I do also wanna point out some other songs that were on my mind at the time! (two for three on these posts mentioning louis cole now)

I'd also like to take a moment to spotlight the vocal samples on this! They previously appeared on エビチャーハン!, and they've honestly become some of my favorite samples to throw in things. They're also just a fucking goldmine sincerely

Finally, HUGE thanks to Visualeyes for the delightful synth solo on this!! I had put out a call on Twitter looking for instrumentalists, genuinely originally envisioning a super jazzy piano solo, but their synth playing genuinely brought the whole song together perfectly!

Minji, Jeon Minji. She always made you feel like the worst person, tho she never meant it. In fact,she's the sweetest and the kindest person you've ever known. And that's why, she's in the position you've always dreamed to be in. That's why she has the man you've always dreamt of.

You smile back at her and thank her before leaving towards your house, your insides burning with the urge to kill her right then.

It was when the bell rang and you opened the door only to face the new neighbors. Him, Oh god, It's him. " His face evident with surprise. "You know her, babe?" The woman asked him. "Yeah, hun. She's a college friend. " That's when you felt your heart clench tightly.

Jeon Jungkook, was your friend who you trusted with your life. But now, he was just a stranger you know everything about. (Stranger by the loml Olivia Rodrigo, but the oc isn't over kookie😩)

"H-Hi. How are you J-Jungkook." You couldn't believe it. You've cried so many nights for him. Praying to get back in his arms, have him in your life as anyone, if not a lover. But now that he comes back, he's married. And very happily, you can see.

"I'm doing very well, Y/N. This is Jeon Minji, my wife. We have just shifted in the house right behind your backyard. So nice to see you again." You could feel your eyes pinch with pain, but you tried your best to pull up a bright smile. You can do this, you're very good at hiding feelings. Come on Y/N. "

I'm so happy to see you too. And hello Minji, nice to meet you. Well come in you both. " You move aside for them to come in but the refuse by saying, " It's fine, Y/N. We were just her to Introduce, but guess we don't need to do that. " Minji chuckles and continues, "But we'll see you soon. Have a good night. " She smiles at you, and you feel your legs tickling with jealousy. "You too have a good night, and please don't hesitate if you need any help in shifting. Both me and my husband are willing to help."

You fail to notice Jungkook stiffen as he's reminded that you're married too. He doesn't know why but he's always been uneasy with you being in a relationship and he has no idea why.

Both of them agree and leave after a short goodbye. You shut the door and you suddenly feel all the strength leaving your body. You collapse against the main door, still not believing everything that happened. All the memories that you were burying, we're now out of your control . You could hear his voice, feel his touch and his warmth. Tears made their way out of your eyes as you cry silently.

You unlock the main door to your house as you get inside. It's been so long since they've moved but you can't get yourself to move on. You reach the kitchen to grab a can of bear in an attempt to calm yourself down. But nothing seems to work, every drink or drug, leaves only a temporary effect. You continue loving jungkook even when you're high. You decide to take a cold shower when you hear the main door open again, only to see your shitty husband entering.

Jaehyun, both as a husband and a person, might be the worst guy you've ever met. You don't understand how he's able to lie on your face so smoothly. If you had control, you would have never married him. But fate and your parents had a different plan for you.

Around 2 months ago, your friend Sarah sent you a picture of Jaehyun with a girl sitting on his lap, and they were heavily making out. You didn't feel any pain in your heart but only shame, it felt like he had stepped hard on your dignity, your self respect. He made you feel like the most undeserving person, and he definitely did that intentionaly.

Ever since then, you've never started and conversation with him, disgusted to even look at him. And you guess, it makes it easier for him to leave the house whenever and stay at the girl's place. But you don't bring yourself to care, your mind always drift to jungkook and his very happy married life.

They're living their best lives, the typical rom-com like love life. Jungkook never leaves without a kiss with his wife. And Minji is always ready to welcome him by door when it's time for him to return.

When you had the same time routine, you always witnessed them being the happiest around each other and you had to change your timings. You couldn't bare seeing them being all lovey-dovey, so you leave for work earlier and arrive back home later.

"Y/N? " You were too drunk to hear him calling you. He called you out a few times before his hands reach your right arm to turn you around. "What the fuck!" You slurred, your drunkenness now evident to jungkook. "What are you doing here Y/N?? " He asks you with a strict voice, which soon melts when he sees you pout. "Kook, oh it's you thank god. I thought It was some guy again. " You said slowly as you moved closer to him. You were too drunk and high to remember the argument you had earlier. "Let's get you home Y/N. Don't you have morning classes tomorrow,hm? " He speaks very softly, as is talking to a kid. You mover your side to side, disagreeing with him and then you say, "Noo, let's have another drink and dance. I missed youuu" You wrap your arms around his neck, as your pouts grows even more. He chuckles while holding your waist just as tightly as you're holding him.

He agrees with you and empties the red cup you were having rum and coke in. Both of you weren't a fan of frat parties but whenever you're both together, everything feels the best. Jungkook's breathe fans over your neck as you both dance along On the floor by JLo.

When the chorus of the song starts you along with most of the other girls turn around to twerk along, as if it's a mandatory ritual. Jungkook's cheeks and ears turn bright pink as your ass grazed his crotch a few times while dancing and he wishes you don't notice. You turn back around to hold him again because when you weren't, you felt a certain type of coldness even when you're in bw so many people. His warmth was something which can get you just as high as a joint.

Both of you melted in each other's arms and stayed that way for so long, you didn't even know what song was playing now. "Mhmm, kookie can i kiss you? Just once I promise. " Jungkook wanted it, he wanted you to kiss him forever but he knew it's not safe for your friendship. He can't let his feelings over take him because he knows you only see him as a friend (who you might kiss sometimes 🤭) but how can he say no to you, especially when you're being so cute and adorable. So he decides to fuck it and bend down to kiss you. He captures your lips in a kiss as you both make out in the middle of the crowd. Jungkook felt like the luckiest person ever to have you like this. He has always been so happy that you're open to him with your feelings and uhm.

And you felt similar, just as euphoric and wanted this moment to last forever. Oh, how you wish to have him in all the ways possible. Even pray for it at every 11:11 you notice. And everything feels so good with him around. You were so in love with him but you knew he wasn't.

He has always been the best friend, the bestest you could ask for. But best friends can never be together, thec can never have feelings for each other because it always results in heartbreaks.

And so it did, both of yours heart broke quite terribly. When jungkook had to leave for USA after he got a job placement but he told you about it just 2 days before. Out of anger, you didn't talk to him neither did you come to see him off at the airport. Both of you were hurt, and you both had your reasons.

Next morning when you were returning from a morning run, you ran into Jungkook by the mail box. "Good Morning, Y/N" He wishes you and you just wanted to jump in his arms. "Oh, Good Morning to you too Jungkook! " You wished him back trying to match his level of energy. "How have you been? " You ask him further.

"I've been great, what about you? "

"I'm doing well too. " You reply, knowing you always feel well around him. "Good to hear that. The weather has been terrible these days" He says, trying to start a conversation.

"Yeah, ikr. It's so hot these days,even when it's just February." You both continue talking about random things when he invites you and Jaehyun over for dinner.

"Thank you for the invite, but i don't think Jaehyun will be able to make it, he comes back late these days. " You say and Jungkook could sense your hesitation on the topic of your husband. And ofc, him being the kindest human being , he asked, "oh, btw, is everything fine between you both? Minji mentioned you being very stressed these days. You know you can always reach out. " with concern evident in his eyes.

It became difficult to maintain an eye contact because you both know how terrible you're at lying to him. "W-well, yeah everything is fine between us" You say, your eyes roaming everywhere but jungkook. He knows that's not the truth so he persuades, "Y/N, yk you can't lie to me so tell me what's up? " When you finally meet his eyes, you feel like crying.

He thinks your misery is because of your husband but who's gonna tell him that he's the reason. He's why you're suffering, he's why you're depressed and he's the reason of your misery. You give him a little smile, and when you're about to continue, you get a phone call from your husband. "Uhh, I'll have to take this up. " You tell him and he says, "okay Y/N, I'll get going but please ask for any help that you need, hm? " With that you both smile at each other and leave.

"What? " You ask Jaehyun. "You're not at home? Where are you? " You turn around and see him at the main door. You scoff realising that he's coming back from that girl's place and you want to kill him right there.

It had been a week since you met him and now you were walking towards their house around 10pm. Your dad had been calling since morning but you couldn't answer his once . Though you're high as fuck but you can't find your phone, and that's why you're going to jungkook's place to ask for any of theirs phone.

You ring the bell and wait there for a few seconds. The gate opens and you're met with a just out of shower Jungkook. Your breathe hitches and you feel your cheeks burning. He's just as hot. "Umm, hi Y/N.all good? " He speaks, breaking your trance.

"Oh hellooo" You give him a 90° bow which startles him "I'm good how are youu? " Your words trail of as your brain suddenly feels numb. "Wait- are you drunk? " He recognises your drunken voice but you deny him by saying,

"Noooo. I'm not drunkk I'm Highh hehe" You start giggling and it confuses hi even more "I'm sorry to disturb you at this hour, but i need your phone." You pout, and jungkook feels like he's floating. He knows how it is, but your pout still softens him. "Come inside, it's cold. "

"Your wife isn't at home? " You ask him to which he replies, "no she's out with her friends for drinks."

You get inside his house and are amazed how pretty they've made it. This place screams jungkook and it feels so much like home. "So what brings you here? " He asks, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Ohh yeahh my phone was calling and I need to call him back but i can't find my dad" You pout again. This time he chuckles, laughing at your words.

"You can't find your dad?" His lips pulling into his iconic bunny smile.

"Yeahh, I can't find my dad. Can you give me your dad so i can call my dad, pleaseeee"

"Here you go, here's my dad" If you both were still young , he would've have teased you a lot. But you both have grown up and even though he wanted to, he couldn't.

"Thank you so muchhhh" You busy yourself dialing your no. when he asked you, "where's your husband tho? "

You were trying so hard to dial your no. correct, that you didn't realize when you said, "he's probably at his girlfriend's. "

"Shit shit, you didn't hear anything" Your eyes widen with horror and you scolded yourself internally. "Wait fr? Jaehyun's cheating on you? And you know that?? " His eye balls almost out of the sockets, shock evident in his voice.

"Uhh, no no, Yk I'm-im drunk, don't mind that" You tried to play it off but jungkook wouldn't even budge. "Y/N, ik you're telling the truth, you don't have to lie to me. " His eyes full of concern and once again you feel your brain going numb. And you were starting to feel sober, which was even worse.

"Uhmm, I'll have to take your phone over so i can listen to my phone ring. " You ran quickly in an attempt to save yourself from further embarrassment.

Later in your room, you find your phone in your bathroom floor (you have no idea why) And now you have to return jungkook's phone back to him.

You gather so courage and reach his house. You plan on giving it to him and leaving right after thanking him.

And you did so, but after you turned around to leave, he held you arm in an attempt to turn you back. "Y/N, please talk to me. How long have you known this? " You see genuine concern in his eyes and feek like hugging him and crying on his chest.

"Uhh, just let it be jungkook."

"No, tell me. " His voice stern now.

"Why do you even care. It's nine of your business"

"But i just can't see you get hurt. " His voice soft again.

You looked in his eyes, and scoffed. "You can't se me hurt? Of all the hurt I've ever experienced, you have been one reason every fucking time. And you can't see me hurt? Wow"

Jungkook's face falls,but that doesn't stop you. "You fucking hurt me more than anyone does. I don't even care jaehyun's cheating one. It doesn't hurt me. But you do. You hurt me so much that i can't even feel any other pain. " Your voice now louder. Your eyes pinch with pain, tears threatening to fall. But no, you can't do this, not in front of him at least.

"How do i hurt you? " His voice low like a whisper. "Good question Jungkook. You wanna know how you hurt me? How don't wanna know since when you've been hurting me? "

"Y/N you're still mad at what happened almost 10 years ago? " A frown appears on his face and his tone makes you feel as if you're at fault.

"I wouldn't have been if it didn't affect me so much. And why do expect me to not? You told me fucking 2 days before you were leaving for Florida? You never called while you were there. You were living your life and here I was dying. I was suffering." Years finally rolled down your cheeks. And jungkook wanted to wile them down and hug you to make you feel better.

But he was feeling the similar frustration you were feeling. And it became evident when he said, " You weren't the only one Y/N! I was also hurt. You didn't even come to see me off at the airport even when I texted-begged you over text. I wanted to apologize you that day and tell you something important. But you decided to be egoistic and didn't come. And that's why I never called. Even when I was in utter need of help and support, I couldn't call you. Because I lost the level of trust and I knew you won't even pick up. "

His word felt like slap. He's right, you were being a bitch when you didn't meet of on the last day, but you were mad too. "I would have, I was missing you so much, I would have definitely. I would have caught the first flight to Florida only to be with you again." Your words were now slurred due to your crying, when you finally broke and jungkook felt like crying too.

"I know it's wrong, it's so so so wrong but I can't help myself. I can't control myself" You covered your face as you cried even harder. And when you felt his arms engulfing you, you couldn't hepl but wrap your arms around him too. Jungkook stands there caressing your back while he himself cries silently.

"It's so wrong I still can't move on-" Jungkook's heart picks up speed. He's not ready for this. You suddenly pulll away from him and wipe your tears. "I'll get going jungkook. " You left before you could do something that maight ruin not one but many hearts.

And for the next few weeks you so neither jungkook nor his wife and you were very glad for it. It was untill one Tuesday morning when you swa both of them in front of their house. And they were not kissing or anything but arguing? You heard Minji saying, "what has happened to you? You're so distant these days kook. You don't even kiss me a goodbye??" To which jungkook replies, "it's nothing baby, I'm just stressed with work and things are getting lost in the back of me brain. Come here lemme kiss you" You were shocked when you heard Minji saying "No, you're first gonna tell me who else you're so in love with"

"What the hell, Minji? Why would you say that? " Jungkook was just as shocked. You didn't want to hear anything further so you stepped out of the fence and that's when Minji calls you out. "Mrs.Park! Good morning!"

And hearing your name from her mouth, Jungkook's eyes light up and he turns around quickly to look at you. He couldn't control but then he blurted out, "Nice sweater, Y/N."

Minji called you out to check something and she was right. She was right. "Oh Good morning, Jeon fam. And thank you Jungkook. Hope you guys have a nice day!" You wished them and hurriedly left.

And so did Minji. Jungkook was left standing there.

It took him 2 minutes to finally understand how he reacted and complimented you which was totally out of his mind.

And he finally realises how fucked up he is.

hey! i’m new to the cooliver world, and i see a lot of ppl saying that apparently the creators intended the two to be together but the show got cancelled too quickly, do you have any idea where i can find more on this info? i can’t seem to find sources for it anywhere i need to know the truth and you seem like an expert lol 😭

ok so first of all, i meant to reply to this like 5 days ago and then i didn’t i’m so sorry 😭😭 and also i’m like beyond honored that you would consider me an expert. that’s so nice of you omggggg

but to answer your actual question: as far as i know, none of the creators or producers of the show have ever said there were plans for cooper and oliver to get together.

more under the cut about where i think this might’ve come from, and a bit more of the nuance behind this question

this is definitely a big rumor, and i’ve tried to find evidence to back it up, but i haven’t been able to find any statements from any of the creators, writers etc on what the plan would’ve been for cooliver or any other plotline in seasons 6 and beyond…

my best guess is that this rumor stems from two things:

1) during the later seasons, the show really leaned into the idea of cooliver. the boys said they loved each other, their denials transitioned from “we’re not gay” to “we’re not together,” and they literally said the ship name in one of the episodes. it 100% felt like they were building to something that they never got to see out.

2) a couple years ago, during an instagram live, someone asked daniel dimaggio about cooliver. he gave a response that was really vaguely worded and honestly incredibly confusing, but the part everyone latched onto was “give us five years, we’re married” and “cooliver was gonna really take off.” from these comments, i think a lot of people assumed he was confirming that there were plans for cooper and oliver to get together, but those episodes never got made bc the show was canceled. i can definitely see how that could be what he meant, but its also not really what he said, and he was very adamant that he doesn’t actually know. i linked the whole live below so you can watch it and make your own opinion!!

so yeah, tldr: there’s no official confirmation that the creators of the show intended for oliver and cooper to become a couple, but there’s also a bit that implies that might’ve been a plan.

Heads up if you have not been reading on Ao3, it's very very easy to run into creeps since theres no about page or info so sometimes when you try to check out authors other stories cus you enjoyed what you read you find out the disgusting truth :,( just block and move on, luckily there's also a filtering option to make sure you don't run into those stuff but as someone who usually likes to know who writes that so I could keep a distance and block it sucks. Hello there everyone, and welcome back to part 2 of this Au! So, I'll put forth a quick recap from last time and let everyone know what's happening in the rest of the story, yeah? Cool, now let's move right along!

Disclaimer: I’ve been gone from Tumblr for a while now, due to myriad of technical issues + prioritizing AO3 and IRL work. It’s a long story, but not to worry, I am now back and will actually remember to post frequently. Anyway, on with the AU!

As a reminder: The premise here is that Lila's grandmother (from the embassy mom's family, since until they explain this 27 mothers thing Lila has going on I am going to ignore it) once lived in Paris in the 1940s, and befriended Fu and Marianne as they were hiding the Miraculous away. Long story short, during that scene in S5 where they're escaping, Grandma Rossi gets the Fox Miraculous and helps them do so, eventually returning to Italy before Fu has deemed it safe enough to return for it. Many years later, she ends up revealing Trixx to Lila and passes the Fox onto her when her granddaughter says she's going to Paris, and tells her to be very, *very* careful with it. Lila immediately proceeds to nearly out herself with the Volpina incident. But don't worry, it's fine, she manages to get out of that situation without too much trouble. Now she's offered to be Adrien's friend, and so has Marinette. In the meantime, she's also waiting for a good oppurtunity to transform again, and try to convince Ladybug and Chat Noir that she is not a supervillain. For details, check the previous post.

Anyway, onto the rest of the show! Things stay the same for a few episodes, or...almost. Because Lila is friends with Adrien now, and by proxy Marinette who is putting her crush aside to make sure Lila isn't getting him in any trouble by also being Adrien's friend, our beloved...anti-heroine? Yeah, sure, why not? Our beloved anti-heroine happens to also get to know Alya and Nino failrly well, discreetly using Alya to get info on Ladybug and Chat Noir under the guise of helping with her blog, and Nino just for the playlists. Listen, Lila's taste in music ain't the most varied, so if there's good tunes in Nino's lists, she wants to have them too. Anyway, her friendship with the group develops more and more as she basically tries to be on her best behavior. Now...like I said last time, Lila isn't exactly the most moral person, or has any problems about absolutely (verbally) clobbering someone (meaning Chloe, most of the time) who is annoying her. And since Paris' Perfect Princess™ also happens to be a bully and screams at the same amount of decibels as a banshee before *anyone* has had their morning coffee, Lila joins up with Marinette and Alya to make sure nobody puts up with Chloe's BS.

As a consequence of this, she develops genuine friendships. I know, how horrible! But Lila isn't quite sure *how* friendship works, aside from her just holding back her snarky comments and being generally nice to the girls. So...as Marinette slowly begins to trust her more since Lila seems to just...not be going after her crush, our anti-heroine is left grappling with what exactly it means to even have friends in the first place, and if her bonds with the gang are even real considering she's mostly pretending when around them. This all comes to a head when Alya invites Marinette and Alya for a sleepover at her house...and cue the Sapotis episode to screw up everyone's night. Low and behold, there's no Rena Rouge to help LB and CN out, and since Alya ran off looking for her sisters, and Marinette is "missing" (AKA Ladybug atm), Lila finds herself alone at the house. Now, logically, she should wait this out until the heroes deal with the Akuma, since it's none of her business. Then again...there's *something* nagging her in the back of her head, a kind of itch that just makes her want to go out there do something instead of being stuck inside waiting. Could it possibly be that she's grown to care for Alya and doesn't want to see her upset? ...nah, probably the boredom! On she goes to transform and jump out the window!

Oddly enough, she notices her costume has changed a little bit since the last time. It's still very much Volpina, but this time she looks a bit more like a real fox. Slightly fluffy, swishing tail, tiny bits of fur on her ears and the ability to flick them at will (yes I will be using this to show her emotions, since I find it adorable when Chat does it), and her fangs are a bit more pronounced. Does this reflect Lila's feral nature as a total chaos gremlin? Absolutely it does! Trust me, she's a troll and it gets so much better! Anyway off she goes jumping around rooftops trying to find Alya, until eventually she comes across Ladybug, who is just kinda jumping around seemingly for no reason (She's trying to get to Fu's place without being seen by the Sapotis). Naturally, Lila jumps ahead of her and peeks her head out from behind a chimney. Ladybug yelps so hard that she physically staggers back, and Volpina finds this incredibly funny. So do I Lila, so do I... After a short moment of Marinette doing a double take, she kinda looks at Volpina with confusion. It goes something like this:

Ladybug: "Wait...Lila?" she asks, confusion evident on her face.

Volpina: "Nope, name's Cerise!" she quickly corrects her, a wide grin on her face. "I- wait, I wasn't supposed to say that! Uh...sorry!" the fox heroine yelps back, pinching the bridge of her nose. "The name's Volpina! The real one this time, promise!" she sing-songs with a tiny bow.

Ladybug: "You're the real Fox Holder?" Ladybug raises an eyebrow, clearly skeptical.

Volpina: "Yeah, Trixx absolutely adores me! So, how can I help ya miss Bug?" she asks, a chaste grin etching itself on her face. She seems almost feral, and Marinette decides to look her over.

Ladybug: Her lucky charm flashes over Volpina's form, and Ladybug examines her. It...looks like Lila's Akumatization, but also not? Her hair is a tad more orange, almost like there's faded highlights at the end of her bangs, and Volpina looks more *real*, like an actual fox rather than just a girl in a costume. "Uh...any chance you'll help us with the Akuma?" she asks again as the girl keeps flashing red in her vision, indicating she's the solution to her lucky charm.

Volpina: Volpina *grins*, flicking her tail at Ladybug. "Oh, I'll be happy to! Lead the way!" she chuckles playfully, almost like she's having fun with all this. Still Marinette jumps ahead of her, leading Lila back into the fray.

Cue the Sapotis-Land illusion and the Akuma's defeat, and Volpina hiding away the moment the fight is done so Ladybug and Chat Noir can't ask her any questions. Lila makes it back to Alya's place just in time, and jumps through the window, flopping on the couch just as the other girls also come back. She naturally makes herself look like she's been lounging around, and Marinette doesn't suspect her.

Worth mentioning that Lila was just pretending beforehand, and that Cerise is gonna be her supposed "real name" as Volpina, to throw off suspicion from her being Lila. Since Cerise doesn't actually exist in this AU (just like Lila's other 200.000 identities), it'll just be a cameo. From that day on, Lila joins Akuma fights every now and again, slowly growing into the Ladynoir banter and proving herself as an ally of sorts, while still blue skidoo-ing away before they can ask her questions. Look, she's in the *process* of crafting a new identity, this stuff ain't easy! After a couple weeks, she ends up eavesdropping on LB and CN while they're having that convo in Glaciator, where she tells him that she's got plans and whatnot. Ladybug leaves like normal, but Lila smells a wee bit off stupidity in the air, and decides to teach our dear furry a few things about how scheduling works. Low and behold, Lila actually ends up giving really good advice to Chat Noir even while actively trolling! Isn’t she miraculous? Anyway, I’ll need to go into waaaaaaay more detail about this in the next part of this AU, but I will save the specifics for part 3!

Though, Another special visitor had yet to pay a visit.

Left on Kanata’s doorstep was a package with a note taped to it. But, Another sign was present…

An electric blue music note…?

“Hey Kanata~! Perhaps you don’t know me, But I’m Yousei Mai. From OverDrive, Fukuoka’s 2nd team~” The note started.

“I hope you enjoy this gift, I’ve heard tons of things about Nara, So happy birthday~!” The note finished.

Inside…Was a deer ornament, How cute…

“Looks like we’ve got another deer added to our weird home collection, human!”

Giggly commenting by the wavy long and white haired girl who was now floating on Yuuya’s television screen as if she was in some kind of a tank, she then opened her pale arms wide in a theatrical manner toward her human’s first gift of the day.

“Welcome to the herd and don’t you forget to greet your Papa Stag over there, babe~ You’re now one of us☆”

—And yeah, you don’t read anything wrong. This strange girl was actually inside his digital TV; or to be more precise, she has made herself display on its monitor screen via hacking through the network in his house. For whatever reason it could be, this extraordinary roommate of his was without any physical body but somehow being compensated with a wondrous prowess to gain access through any electrical system she came in contact with.

“What are you saying? Deer aren’t weird, they’re cute.”

Having a soft smile painted on his face as he retorted to his cybernetic roommate, Yuuya picked up the wooden ornament for some close appreciation before deciding to put it on one of his shelves beside other deer merchandise he got from his hometown’s tourism festival.

“By the way, ANGE, do you know about our gift giver? It’s written here in the note that it was from someone with their team named ‘OverDrive’ but I’m not really sure since their team name doesn’t conform to the one I know …Perhaps they are the new team that has recently debuted? Maybe I’ll send them something as thanks next time.”

Hearing the name of a certain team that has been infamously viral among divisions as of late, ANGE then turned herself around to meet her human’s gaze.

“Ho… You finally discover them, human.”

Her iconic cowlicks on her head twitched up, signifying that she has found something interesting —or she just felt alerted? Who knows? Sometimes Yuuya wasn’t certain about what his digital friend was thinking…

However, he could ultimately guess from her reaction that she might have something on her mind in regards to this particular team.

“For a basic info about them; this new team was officially debuted for around 6 months by three persons formerly known as the members of a young idol band ‘Traffic Light’ from over 10 years ago. However, due to their mysterious hiatus several years afterwards, now these trio are back again with their new name registering as the second team representing the Fukuoka Division after the foundation of MIHANASA—”

“Hey, hold up… The second team of Fukuoka? Isn’t Inouye-san’s team already being forced into this by the government themselves?”

“Even more surprised. From what ANGE has eavesdropped, this one seems to be asked in joining by the Prime Minister herself.”

“What— Really? Then why don’t you tell me about this a bit sooner? This can be a very crucial matter to concern about.”

“ANGE hasn’t brought this up to you earlier because back then you looked so occupied with the thing called ‘Entrance Exam’, you forget? Anyway, don’t worry about it and keep focusing on what is ahead of you instead! ANGE will keep a close eye on them in your place —Or at least err… ANGE is more than 100% sure other divisions do.”

Backstory: Growing up in Encanto was difficult for Anthea, Learning Spanish instead of her home language she felt left out by not understanding a word her parents said. She was 12 when she found Mirabel, it was the day after her gift ceremony, some kidsz were making fun of her in the park, So Anthea intervened.

It caused a bit of a scene, Anthea end up getting hurt and Mirabel dragged her to casita to get healed by Julieta, They became friends and Stayed with eachother, when She noticed how badly Isabela was treating Mirabel, she basically permanently made Isabela her enemy, Fighting and snapping at her if she made any mean comments about Mirabel. She purposely called Mirabel Beautiful, perfect, and The best Madrigal infront of Isabela, just to get on her nerves, but she REALLY did think about Mirabel as those things.

Growing up to 22, she is still Snappy and ignorant with a soft spot for kids. When Isabela came around she would make a comment about her saying:"are you going to pick up those petals? Or do WE have to clean up after you prima Donna?". turning it into a conversation or a disagreement. It seemed like she just wanted to Tease Isabela. Isabela gifting her the nickname Spitfire. Sometimes the arguments sound more like flirting which would confuse the people around them. Now that she knows Isabela has 'changed.' She is confused for what to do now that Mirabel and isabelas relationship has changed? She ended up liking this Isabella way more than the last one and often follows Isabella around. 'Annoying her' when they're really having fun banter and talking.

Physical appearance: She has Long Wavy brown Hair that's normally in a bun, wearing a Red-oranges Bandana on her head. Her skin is warm ivory and wears a white shirt and black corset with a red Dress/skirt. Her body shape is Pear 🍐 and her eyes are blue (inherited from an grandparent.)

Hey just a quick question but I saw that this was an RP blog and I wanted to try out an OC but didn’t know where to start. Also I don’t know if your Online or not due to your situation and I didn’t want to come off as Rude to you so take your time.

I ended up making an OC blog because I saw other people with rp blogs for Alice in Borderland and was like- no way!! People do that? Thats so cool!! Everyone is super nice and super welcoming.

Anyways, some tips or info:

• I draw my OC because I’m able to, and I have a very specific idea of what she looks like, but most people use a “face claim” which is essentially a celebrity that they use as the face or ideal look of their character for their blog. So they’ll use gifs and pictures of that celebrity as if they’re the OC.

• Some blogs are also themed based on color and aesthetic to match the personality of their OC. I did my blog black and red to reflect the show that she’s based in.

• Most people also have a “masterpost/OC introduction” which has all the basic information you need to know about their OC, almost like a character wiki page.

• Some people also have a blog which is a "multi-fandom" OC, which means they rp between different shows and games with the same character.

• As for interacting with people, what I did is send a few blogs a quick introduction of my character, as my character, basically saying “Hello! I’m Lilly, etc” and I’d usually get a response.

• After that it’s kind of just interacting with people, responding to their posts in character and stuff. Some blogs like to create “starters” which is a post with a prompt that people can respond to, to start a role play between their characters.

• Another way people interact is making posts in character as if this is their characters social media profile, and other people will comment and respond in character as well.

• I like to make extra posts sometimes just about my character, background information and “flashback” stories, so people can get to know my character.

It's me, hi, I'm the loud privacy anon. I was just wondering, are there any other celebrity couples who do the weird interview doublespeak/vague posting stuff? I honestly can't think of any off the top of my head. I also don't know very much about the industry, but I wonder how much control celebrities have over what's printed in interviews. It seems like you could request that your personal life be off limits, or decline to talk about it if you were asked.

I know nothing about PR relationships, so I can't speak to that, but the way their relationship is publicized has always seemed weird to me. The best example I can think of is (I think) last year's birthday cake. If I remember right, the bakery posted a picture of the cake and alluded to 'a friend' or something having commissioned it? And then people were going back and forth on social media about who ordered it, what it meant, etc. There were folks writing dissertations on this cake. It struck me as shady because the vague post from the bakery created WAY more discourse than a simple post from either of them (or no posts from anyone). We obviously don't know what goes on behind the scenes, but I can see why you and others think some of it is done on purpose. This is kind of a retread of what I said awhile back, but the 'will they or won't they' about events, interviews, even watching the Golden Globes (I took a nature walk after that discussion) generates way more buzz than if they were simply...together. As a casual fan, I'm more interested in the professional side than the personal, and while I'm pretty neutral on Kaia Gerber, I have learned much more than I wanted to about their relationship just from hanging out on social media.

Welcome back anon! I genuinely cannot think of another couple that does that stuff either. Because it's just simply not normal, and it takes more effort to engage in that vague posting than it would be to just talk normally like anybody else. The lengths they go to to disguise and not talk at all but yet be loud about pap pictures etc is just not normally how a lot of these celebrity couples do it. There is no reason to hide about your relationship unless you're unhappy and trying to not draw attention. Genuine privacy looks so much different than this "loud privacy" they do on the regular.

omg cakegate was one of the most annoying things because of people trying to make 2+2=5 over every little thing put on the cake lmfao. i totally agree with what you said about the bakery. posting about the cake how they did caused so much more of a hoopla had it just not been posted at all, or if they had simply posted the cake and not gone in the comments to respond and say "a friend" commissioned it. why the need to set the record straight at all? it's no one's business. you're a professional company, just post the cake you were commissioned to make and leave it at that. also taking a walk out in nature was such a great move, i feel you on that one babe lol. sometimes that and meditation are the best ways to ground yourself.

and yeah i couldn't agree more. it's like every day there's always something. i feel like we're in a mexican standoff whenever anything remotely related to them drops...the frothing at the mouth for more info or just more in general is not the vibe i want to be apart of. i just prefer to love on Austin himself and enjoy his career :)

hi! any tips and advice on starting an edit blog? I'm not very into the edit side of tumblr, i only follow some for fun on occasionally save some resources for school, but i'm never involved in any community online...

are there different edit styles, how much do they usually pay for commissions, where do they get their vectors/pngs, what must and mustn't include in my blog etc

Let's start with your questions first

- Are there different editing styles?

To me, there are. Its more in terms of like simple to 100 layers of deco and pastel muted colors to saturation setting 1000. There are also maybe some repearing themes, for me its paper pngs. I enjoy using them so much and they give my edits a scrapbook feel that i enjoy! You can look at other editing blogs and try to analyze what they do in their edits!! (propaganda for my moots incoming)

For example, yulessu's style is recognizable to me just off the way he colors (pink...). He manages to make saturated colors work well and often makes his edits more simple!

io-kun's style changes from edit to edit but you know its him just by the coloring and composition is they do something more complex. I think their colour palette is one of my favourites. Especially the way they edit blues <3

malumpomarium also fucks around and finds out and by god xes stuff works SO WELL!! I cant really find the words to describe it but look. Look at stars work. Just look. Gaze upon them.

- How much do they usually pay for commissions?

I'm not sure what you mean by this but most editors actually do them for free or just do this as a hobby

- Where do they get their vectors/pngs?

There are dedicated blogs to storing pngs and for vectors, some make them themselves using shape tools or on pinterest from what ive seen. I mostly get vectors from tumblr posts that i saved in my drafts

- what must/mustn't be included in your blog?

Just remember to tag eyestrain as well general info like edit types and sources you want to do. I dont know what else yeah!!

Oouh I will do my best to answer ! :O Beware I will focus on how I sell on Tumblr here as you asked me on Tumblr - some stuff may not apply to other websites but most of the points should apply elsewhere too I would say !

But in general, you need some stuff in your description like:

Tell how you wanna be contacted ( pm, comments, email etc depends what you prefer ) - Also add " contact if interested " - People may contact you to ask you questions about the design too or some details; it happens so you may need to be ready !

Tell what kind of way you prefer to get payment and in what currency ( For me, it's paypal and in euros )

You can also say " rb/boost are welcome - You don't have to be interested if you wanna rb to boost or if you enjoy the art " It will help spread your offers and also some people can be unsure about reblogging and not being interested

I would say to add some rules too, just to be sure you are comfortable with how the designs are used like: " name,gender etc is up to the buyer " " you can/cannot resell/trade/gift " " I can hold the design for ( amount of time you prefer ) " " Don't change the design/You can change the design a bit/You can change the design how you want "

I would also recommend putting the price not only in the description but also on the pic of the adopt: To make sure people see it well but be ready to have people ask you how much they are still (￣▽￣ ) It is still a bit like retail on that point haha

Also watermark your adopts and put the social(s) you post them on the pic too ! If it is get shared around, it could help !

Another thing I would tell you is to TAG YOUR STUFF

You can look up artists you enjoy/respect to see what they use in their adopts tags

Don't hesitate to tag even colours or what kind of colours they are like pastel Stuff in the design like... there is sunflowers in the design ? Tag sunflowers Tag like... aesthetic too like cottagecore or dark acedemia I would say to tag potential triggers, i do that in case and also sometimes even add " ask to tag " cuz i am not sure i got everything covered

But yes tags really help to have your stuff seen - Tumblr good for that

Depends also what kind of design you are making - is it furry ? dnd ? humanoids ? fandom or not ? Tag as best as you can too - if you know artists who do designs like that/you, then look up what they tag these with !

I would recommend VERY MUCH to have a TOS too... !! It may sounds unnecessary or tiring to do but I do recommend as people can ask for a refund after getting the design and scam you :(

It never happened to me but I saw too many horrible stories like that happening to other artists to not tell you you should, even if just in case !
