Another project, a dozen drawings based on 3 rules you set for yourself!! mine were flower heads, shows the sky somewhere, and they're all different times of day
#sana school stuff#original art#flower girls was something i've been wanting to do for years and i thought this project was a good opportunity to do so but yknow. the thin#where when you do something for school it's less fun#yeah#especially with time constraints#honestly i thought about making enseason my dozen but 12 of those in such a short timespan mightve actually killed me#i did 11/12 of these backgrounds within a 12 hour timespan (breaks included)#each of them took 30 min-1 hour#the actual people tho. took anywhere from 1. to multiple hours#the flowers were chosen based on the month they bloom in#'cause all of them also correspond with a month#fun fact did you know daffodils can kill other flowers (namely roses and tulips) they're in a vase with if not treated properly first#no one pointed out the morbidity of a flower person walking in a flower field.#also. if you care#i don't know if i can get the april edition out on time#i'll try but i've taken 2 days rest to recover from the fact i cranked all these out within like 3 weeks total (lineart got my ass)#sana will be back shortly i miss posting here#i miss you guys!!!#guh

The management at my old apartment stole my fucking bike
#apparently theyve been mass 'confiscating' bikes off peoples porches without telling anyone that theyre taking them#i dont know how long mine has been gone bc i didnt notice it was missing until i went to load it into my car to move it#but if its been more than (i think) 30 days then it would be considered forfeit and they would have already sold/claimed/trashed it by now#my gf and i saw a whole pile of 20+ confiscated bikes near the maintenance building but it doesnt look like mine was in it#i called them today to ask about it and they told me that for them to look for it i would need to provide a photo to prove its mine??#its MY bike! you stole it off my porch. how tf was i supposed to know that i needed to take a picture of it beforehand#they told us we can go check out the pile so me and my gf are gonna go look more thoroughly now that we're officially allowed#but if its IN the maintenance building we wont be able to find it#and if they already sold it or took it home with them or threw it away then it also wont be there#and i cant even ask them to confirm when they took it / if its already gone#bc it looks like theyve been doing this with dozens of bikes over the past few months so how would they even remember one specific one#what the fuck#rambling#also to be clear: they arent being confiscated BECAUSE theyre on the porches#the bikes are supposed to be under the stairwell and thats where mine was#my neighbors who leave their kids bikes piled on their side in the yard got to keep theirs#theyve been doing unscheduled porch painting without any sort of warning or notice on and off since like december tho#so my only guess is that they decided since they werent giving us any notice to move our stuff off the porch ahead of time#they decided to just move straight into confiscating everything off of the porches and hoping no one would call them out on it#which is fucking bullshit

Anyway. 150 days left until I see TMBG.
#i already counted down 150 days. and 100 days left until i see them before#but the tour was postponed a full year so we're doing this again#it was going to be my first 'proper' concert but due to the delay i got the chance to already go to two other concerts earlier this year#they were both amazing and exactly the type of thing that's been missing in my life before as it turns out#i'm very glad i went and they really made me even more excited for this upcoming one#because now i can kind of imagine what it might look like#just seeing all these people with their band shirts was such an amazing moment#i can't really imagine seeing dozens of people in tmbg shirts even though it IS going to happen#and that's mostly because i have met ONE tmbg fan in real life#and overall it's incredible how completely unheard of they seem to be where i live#all those music store sellers who are like 'who???' when i ask them about tmbg#at least there was this one guy who not only knew who sparks are#but also told me all about annette and who plays in it and where to watch it#so yeah. still feels far away but maybe i can already start getting excited again. this time it's gotta happen#and my london trip!! and first plane flight!! it's gonna be so fun#i've been waiting for this for a year and a half already auughhhh#when the time for my dream trip finally arrives i won't be shutting up about it for even a day#goosepost

rewatched the first three episodes of s3 and im never going to recover
#i love season 3#and s3 is a great season it’s just that. THEY BARELY EVER MENTION THE TSUNAMI AGAIN EVEN THOUGH IT CHANGED EVERYTHING FOR#SO MANY CHARACTERS#so whenever i watch past 3x03 i miss the tsunami arc because i do think it’s one of the greatest arcs they did#i think these eps were when i fell in love with may too <3#911 lb#SPEAKING OF WHICH#it still startles me every time that the lawsuit comes right after the tsunami eps because it’s like#you’d think that that arc (in which buck acts as a firefighter despite not being able to be one atm) would lead to everyone including him#realising that he can help people without being on active duty because that’s. what he does.#he literally saves himself christopher and a dozen others by finding shelter on top of. A FIRE TRUCK.#the symbolism does not get more meaningful than that like#i’m not even talking about the lawsuit because i think that in itself is an interesting multifaceted arc etc#what i mean is. why does no one including buck. mention that. he was behaving exactly as a firefighter would in that situation despite#being on blood thinners and all that. it literally feels like the perfect way to have that moment of ok this is who i am even when i cant#work the job that defines who i am to me#instead they move on and there’s like 1 ep where christopher has trauma over it and everyone else’s trauma over it well they simply#do not speak about that. beyond a few lines which i latch on to#sorry for the insane tags. half my brainpower is reserved for this now

It’s hard to make music when you have no instruments or software or skills or talent and also you don’t actually know how to play anything or make music and you’re dumb as hell
#hey it’s about that time of year where I get the urge again to try and make music before getting frustrated and quitting#don’t let your inability to do anything right get in the way of messing everything up forever and ever amen#every time I sit down to try and set up software and whatnot I end up wasting half a dozen hours before giving up#repeat once or twice every year or so for the last decade#how did I used to do this junk??? whaaaaa? I don’t understand computers.#I have an ooooold laptop buried in a box someone with sooo many unfinished songs. albums and albums worth. mostly just missing vocals#I used to sit and work on music for hours and hours#pretty much the only productive thing I did my first year of college was make an album#and now I’m just like… I don’t understand how anything works. I’m so old.#but I guess it’s… ya know… it’s been awhile and you can’t just expect to jump back in with the same skill and comfort#you’ve got get all the tedious beginning stuff out of the way. that’s just how it goes. it builds and builds.#it’s the opposite of eating an elephant. it’s frankensteining and elephant. gotta do it piece by piece.#basically I got another hand me down laptop. clean slate freshly wiped.#then I spent about 5 hours just setting it up and thennnnnn getting a bad virus bc I’m stupid as hell and don’t want to pay for software#I lost my software installer I already had so I rushed to 🏴☠️ the first decent one I could find#and then when I got warnings I said ‘meh the antivirus is probably exaggerating’#ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? ARE YOU STUPID!? you trust the illegal file over your own antivirus!? whatttt!?#i am very stupid#at least the laptop is pretty much empty. just gonna do another clean wipe and start again. hopefully smarter.#I really want this. #I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT ALL FUCKING SEMESTER#I HAVE SAID AT LEAST HALF A DOZEN TIMES THAT I CANNOT WAIT TO TEAR HER APART IN THE COMMENTS#i had a makeup clinical today with a different professor and it was the best clinical experience of my life#(also we did post conference at barnes and nobles and there was a starbucks there and i got a cupcake which was awesome)#i've been working on this thing for like 45 minutes at this point#i think i've answered all the 'the professor was a dick and a hardass and condescending and unhelpful and didn't seem to give a shit that#she's been a nurse longer than i've even been alive so us first-year nursing students are not nearly as experienced as she is & her job#should be to help us and guide us and not to reprimand us and chastise us for harmless things she doesn't like' questions#now i'm on the 'we've had to do double the amount of paperwork as the other clinical groups because god forbid the school lay out to the#professors and students what we're supposed to do and when we brought it up the head of the department basically went 'fuck you'' questions#i've ranted about this shit so fucking much and it's so nice to finally get to submit it (anonymously) to the school where they can#actually see how much they suck and how shitty an experience this is#god i miss my old school#(i'm glad im not there tho bc if i was living on campus i wouldn't have gotten a second cat and flynneas takes precedence over everything)
