its so funny whenever i get a migraine but it doesn't set in with full force right away bc for the first couple hours after i wake up i'll just feel vaguely bad and be really irritated and despairing and kind of waffling (i was doing this last night too) it feels like being a toddler who refuses to go to bed despite being tired, but with like. thinking idk. i'll just be annoyed and whatever until the migraine truly hits me and i'm like "ohhhhhh"

a couple weeks ago i was complaining about how whenever someone asks how to do something all u get told is fundamentals when sometimes all u wanna know what the exact process/program (specifically when it comes to modern digital art is concerned) being used bc that kind of stuff matters, lo and behold i see this tweet:

everyone in the comments is responding with some combination of "STUPID GEN Z DOESNT KNOW THEY HAD DRAWING SOFTWARE AND TABLETS BACK THEN WOW THESE KIDS ARE SO DUMB" or "drawing it irl scanning it and cleaning it up" (it doesnt even remotely look like that but whatever) like guys holy shit they just wanted to know what program was used. and fuck even if they didnt know that shit existed JUST SAYING THE PROGRAM USED WOULD ALSO SUFFICE (if you even know it, odds are most people replying did not!!!)

nothing makes me feel more elderly than realizing how many fundamental things about high school changed since i went like the phones... the dress codes/facial hair? laptops???? (we only just got personal ones when i was a senior) and everyone does block schedules now like people only go to half their classes a day and thats so normalized i feel like i teleported in from an alternate universe

huge reason i hate opening shifts is bc i work w the public and for some reason the way my emotional regulation goes, if i spend the morning chilling and doing my own thing, i'm fine, but if i'm working and dealing w issues before noon i'm way quicker to anger like my mood is like "you're lucky if i only gen z stare at you right now" i WILL start fighting

good news bad news good news, had to clopen at work but i wasnt as drained as i could be, and my main boss was off so i was opening w the boss im cool with and i was listening to music my WHOLE shift. work sucked bc it was insanely busy and i had to bust my ass keeping things together, but at least finally my manager is starting to listen to what ive been complaining about my department head. also now im already home and gonna eat a nice big lunch, chill the hell out & watch last night's big brother 😌

also i wore a fun shirt today & started drawing this on the whiteboard in the office lmao
