So...Okarun definitely has Thoughts about the Ayase family dynamic, right?

Every time I see Momo and Seiko interacting in the show, I can't help but wonder what's going on inside Okarun's head. Like, he heard Momo gassing her up when they first met and talking about how much she regrets her past actions while they were ghost/alien hunting--but then the first time he sees them together they constantly fight and call each other stupid/hag.

Whatever you think his home situation is, he has to find the dissonance between Momo's words to him and actions to her grandmother strange, and maybe even concerning. He probably hasn't said anything because:

He's an awkward fellow, after all.

He does see the moments where they stop pretending to hate each other.

But he definitely notices that things are strange; probably has already come to the conclusion that their current behavior stems from Momo's temper tantrum and years-long silent treatment. And the fact that both Ayase women seem to be allergic to talking about their feelings or apologizing.

So what if one day...he decides to meddle?

He definitely thinks it's not his place to do so, but at the same time he is falling madly in love with this girl. And her grandmother has accepted him into her home, feeds him, helped them both with their paranormal problems, and given him the first place that he feels he belongs in. He feels like he owes it to them to at least facilitate a better understanding between them. They both saved him--keep saving him--and he wants to at least save them from feeling like the only way they can communicate is with insults and bringing up the past.

However, doing something about a rocky relationship without making it worse is even harder than it sounds, and Okarun isn't exactly swimming in interpersonal relationship experience. He hasn't figured out what to do, and the only thing he has decided for sure is that he can't rely on their other friends for this task. They mean well, and most of them have more experience with making up with people than he does, but he thinks that they are a bit clumsy for something so delicate. So for now, he just tries to keep them closer together and distract Ayase-san when she gets a bit too vitriolic.

Meanwhile: Seiko and Momo are extremely grateful for the craziness of the last few months bringing them closer together than they've been in literal years, and have no interest in rocking the boat and upending all the progress they've made--even if they think things could improve more quickly.

Also they are a bit confused why four-eyes recently prefers to quietly hang out with Momo in the living room while Seiko watches her shows instead of letting her drag him up to her room like usual.

I was watching some old VODs and completely forgot that when JuanaFlippa leapt off the edge of the wall (leaving behind a worried Charlie, who had no paraglider at the time and couldn't follow or revive her if she ran out of stamina and fell), Rubius went after her to make sure she landed safely and wasn't hurt.

Bored, everyone share a random headcanon I'll start.

I like to think Sparrow takes care of Lily, Bob's wife, after the Spire. Like searches her out and lets her know of Bob's passing and that he loved her(for as long as he could remember her;i don't think they'd tell her her husband forgot her)

Be it as a way to do what their friend wanted, the whole reason Bob even went into the Spire, and making sure shes well taken care of even though hes gone, or as a way to satiate the guilt for killing their only friend in that place.

Sparrow takes care of Lily for as long as she lives, for Bob.

I get that everyone's mad she got fridged.#but the way some folks talk it's like they think her dying was her only contribution to the story #and that's not the case at all #she has so much more going on than Purple's mom did #she's a narrative foil and a character foil. she serves a thematic purpose as well as a plot one.#it's because of her that Victim was able to connect with anyone else. he loses touch with their community once she's gone.#Rocket was her idea! it exists because she wanted it to!#and now when we look back at the last two episodes we can see her haunting the narrative #we only learn enough about Gold and about Purple's Mom to make us sad for King and for Purple when they die #but we don't really miss them ourselves #because they don't really exist outside of King's and Purple's pasts #Mitsi feels so much better integrated because she exists in the story as more than just part of Victim's story #and her influence on the story doesn't end with her death #but it feels like people believe that her dying for Victim's backstory negates everything else she does for the story #and that's the only thing they see #but I'm wondering if she's the target of everyone's upset not just because she's the third backstory-death #and not just because she's only the second overtly fem-coded character and both died in their introductory episodes #but because there WAS more to her...so people are upset that she STILL died for someone else's story?#maybe

thinking .... in both shadow generations and geralds journal its mentioned that gerald had two sons and one was into robotics and the other archaeology . and i think it makes sense to assume the one who likes robotics is eggmans father and the other is marias father. its also revealed that maria has a younger sister that lived on earth who we never saw or heard about before. maybe its not meant to be that deep but that doesnt feel like something theyd just mention for no reason .. ?

also in geralds journal theres a letter at the beginning addressed to commander tower from the person who recovered the journal whos name starts with the letter t. t for tori short for victoria ... ????? (and im assuming the name tori is already mentioned somewhere because ive seen people use it for her before today. so) and the person writing the letter also mentions how they would have liked to know more about gerald and maria too which i feel implies some sort of connection

then in the newest episode of tailstube we saw this book in the background. shes a professor who wrote a history book . and also may have written the letter in geralds journal. and gerald had a son who was into archaeology who was presumably the dad of maria and her unnamed sister .

ive seen it theorized before that victoria is maria's sister and idk im not sure i agree with that because she just doesnt look like shes meant to be maria's sister to me design wise. but i definitely think its possible that shes a robotnik . maria's niece maybe ?

i feel like i might be looking too deep into this but also. surely all this has to be hinting at Something

(Something I noticed abt Betty and Simons relationship)

I love Betty and Simon’s relationship, I think their back story is so cute and romantic and all that lovely stuff don’t get me wrong.

But there’s this under tone of Betty constantly giving things up for Simon and we don’t really talk about it a lot???

Like, Betty let Simon have his moment with the artifact and the pubic, she also doesn’t go to her trip in favor of going on an expedition with Simon. Then when she goes to leave again she stays for Simon.

Even Fiona is like “you went with her on the bus?” And Simon just looks all confused like “what? No, why would I do that?” Like- hello???

Then after that she gave up her entire life and mind to get Simon back to the point where she literally says “I don’t know who I am without him anymore.” And that just sucks! Since the beginning Betty has been the one giving up the most, her mind, her own possible career, and it’s a story of love of course and it’s very sweet but it’s also a story of sacrifice.

Their love wasn’t a perfect solution, it was already sort of imbalanced when it started and I lowkey love how we see those cracks even before they’re together.

Again, I love their relationship and I think it’s sweet. I just think we should talk about Betty’s side more, especially when she tells a story of what most women do in relationships, sacrifice.
