I'm sorry it took so long @just-an-average-fan ! I'm your backup artist fulfilling your first prompt of platonic Red and Purple!

And let me tell you, I had a lot of fun drawing this!

Red and Purple was the first stick figure duo I really liked all the way back in 2021 cuz I thought the dynamic of a heart of gold befriending a snarky bastard was (and still is) peak

Any way, thank you for giving me the opprotunity to draw them again and again, I apologize for it taking weeks

The AvA Gift Exchange Season for 2024 is OVER!!!

Sorry it took a little bit longer to wrap up but hey! We got there!

And with a total of 112 participants (plus some special help from my good friend Tumble)!!!

That's a huge number! And I will say, I definitely learned a lot from this season

Definitely somethings I need to adjust and change to make next season run smoother! ^^ Glad to learn it now before things get too out of hand later on!!

I can't believe it's out for everyone to watch. It was such a delight to work with everyone on this project and I can't even begin to imagine how excited everyone is to finally see the results of all their hard work!

40 parts with 35 participants! And you know what? Everyone absolutely kicked it out of the park

The AvA "Secret Gift Exchange" 2024 Registration is OPEN!

Hello again! It's that time of year again! It's the annual Animator vs Animation Community "Secret Gift Exchange"!

For those who don't know, the AvA Gift Exchange is a celebration event centered around crating and sharing gifts across the Alan Becker Stick Figure Tumblr community. I'm so excited to see what everyone makes this year! 8D

[What is a "Secret Gift Exchange"?]

If you'd like to participate in this event, please follow the link below and fill out the registration form!

This episode seems to confirm that when “the same character” is drawn multiple times by the same creator, it actually is the same character each time, as the creation’s memories carry over from its previous iterations.

As of now, we don’t know if there’s more to this. Does the character have to be drawn in the same art program? Does it matter how or where the character died, before any attempt is made to draw them again? Heck, even the idea that it needs to be the same creator is an assumption. What if “the same character” is drawn again while its previous iteration is still active?

Does creator intent have any role in this carry-over? Did Alan think he was drawing a new victim every time, or was it the same victim only because Alan meant for it to be the same victim?

Whatever the case, I’m taking this as stealth-confirmation that the color gang are summoning the same Reuben every time they spawn a new Minecraft pig.
