i honestly think that getting rid of egg lives might help the story bc we all know ive been a hater of "egg kidnappings" ever since dapper just gets continuously nerfed for the plot. its not really interesting anymore. i actually enjoy code attacks, but when theyre mindlessly op, then theyre also not fun to watch. maybe getting rid of the mindset that "eggs must die" or "eggs are the only way to prompt islanders to do x" will actually stop future plots from feeling repetitive. cause qsmp wasn't originally about eggs. it originally didnt rely on egg lives as motivations and the greater qsmp story is still federation-based.

at the same time, i really do understand what a good plot device death is, and how it's been such a good plot device when its executed well. thinking about dapper's nightmare and death in particular, those both hit q!bad so hard because dapper is mortal. but, inversely, dapper being targeted/nerfed/kidnapped so many times has sucked the shock out of it for me. im more emotionally connected to his soul vulture self-harming, even though he's never been in any danger of dying. child death isnt the only way to invoke grief.

*but it's hard to be unbiased on this because im a bbh main and i feel like all his closest friends end up being the eggs. during the kidnapping arc, he mainly interacted with bagi but now she has a different schedule. if any of the late night trio die, bbh streams will start to feel so much emptier and i already went through that with dsmp.

I know I've talked about this before, but I keep seeing the take that Katniss having a daydream about Peeta's child in the Quarter Quell somehow means that she already wanted to have a child with him at that point, and that she pictured herself as the mother of his child, and that that was the reason why she felt "deliciously happy" the next morning... And this take always bothers me, because I don't think it's supported by the text (and context).

I've talked about this in more detail in this post, but basically, Katniss was NOT expecting to be in that future with Peeta. When she imagined a future where "Peeta's child could be safe" (look how she referred to the child as his, and not as hers, or theirs), she was imagining a future where her plan to sacrifice herself for him had succeded. At that point, she was certain that she would die, even though she was wrong. But she still had hopes that Peeta could live and inspire the rebels (she said that herself), and she wanted him to live and be happy, even if it wasn't with her. And Peeta wanted the same for her. They "knew" they couldn't both live and have a future together, but yet they wanted to sacrifice themselves so that the other could live and find happiness, even if that meant they would be with someone else (Katniss couldn't imagine anyone specifically in the way Peeta could imagine Gale, but she "knew" that his child couldn't be hers). And that just shows how unselfish their love for each other was. 

As for the "delicious feeling of happiness that is somehow connected with Peeta" that Katniss had in the morning after the beach kiss: Have you all ever been in love? If you have, you know why she felt that way. Lol

Not because I think he’s colour blind (I legitimately think it’s just an object permanence kind of thing) but because I had a phase in 2018 of watching people take colour blind tests and I think it would be interesting.

Top Left: Me! My husband happened to open the picture the other day and was like, "that's you, right?", so I guess it's pretty close, lol! Though my eyes are more gray than blue.

Top Right: Amira Scarlet! She's my Hot/Book Smart MC for Scarlet Hollow. A lawyer who's very annoyed by the horrors. (Canonically she has cat eye glasses, but this picrew didn't have any so we went with the cute hearts.)

Bottom Left: Kyrahlise! She just asked if you want to spar and promised to go easy on you. <- It's a lie, she will not go easy on you.

I've been thinking a lot about art and why it doesn't feel good anymore, and a lot of what I keep coming back to is a) simply not being happy with my style, but b) not feeling comfortable experimenting because I feel like I need things to be """post worthy""" 🙄 so like... it's kind of a vicious cycle lmao so I'm heeding the advice I used to give people trying to overcome perfectionism which was "don't worry about making things that are 'good enough' to post and just post everything."

So... some vague style experimenting 🤷‍♂️ and also a sketch of Ilya from forever ago that I really liked but kept thinking I would come back and do more with.

I really don't know what to think of... that finish, but if the deciding factor is the Hail Melon-esque move, that shouldn't eliminate Bell because he didn't pass anyone with it. He had already passed Bubba and nobody else was on his lap. Just wanted to get that out there. But clearly way more to it than that. What even is this?

Uhhhhhh.... What the hell was that? They cite the safety violation when Bell didn't even pass anyone, and meanwhile turn a blind eye to Chevy essentially pulling Spingate on steroids! Great job beating those Hendrick bias accusations, NASCAR!
