This is literally the funniest dialogue in season 12. I just can't, it cracks me up everytime.

The untapped tragicomic potential and derangement that Sam and Kelly could've been together.

(I know that if you read it out of context it seems unhinged to say that this dialogue makes me laugh but in-context it's pure comedy)

I've seen a lot of different takes on Fear Toxin/other fear causing stuff (Yellow Lanterns Ring or something)(later just called Fear Toxin cause I'm lazy) but here is another one.

Danny seems like he isn't affected by Fear Toxin because his biggest fear is that his accident changed him so much he is no longer human, he can no longer truly experience human things.

So when he gets lungful of fear Toxin, he feels normal. He was antsy before, because c'mon, it's a rogue attack but it's not worse. Or so he thought. Because the anxiety lingers. Not enough to register as abnormal just this slight hypervigilance that makes you see things about yourself and your surroundings that you'd never realize otherwise. He'd realize he doesn't blink as often. He'd realize that if he doesn't consciously focus, he sometimes seems to not touch the ground. Forgets to breathe. He can't feel his own pulse at time. He'd realize people will miss him when he's walking down the street as if he was invisible (people just don't care about everyone they pass by). When he'd look straight into his reflection, he'd look slightly to the left. Not enough to actually name anything that was wrong but just stretched enough to fall on the wrong side of the uncanny valley. If he just caught his reflection in the peripheral vision, it'd be vaguely shadowy creature with glowing green eyes and white smoke instead of hair. Overall he'd be just wrong enough to be distinctly not human.

For everyone else, he'd be just a dude. Literally couldn't find more normal dude than this dude. Will pass as absolutely normal human unless someone is specifically looking for ecto-ghost stuff. Even most magic users wouldn't clock him at the glance

Tldr: Fear Toxin makes Danny perceive himself as some sort of eldritch horror but not enough to make him believe he'd actually be affected, while from outside perspective he's Just A Dude™

No one has ever called Tommy beautiful before. He's been called hot, sexy, attractive, that's for sure, especially by the guys who hit on him in clubs. Someone has even told him he was easy on the eyes or good-looking, and it's not like he didn't have mirrors at his place, but it was always nice hearing those words because he could use a boost of self-esteem here and there, especially in those bad days where he would look at himself in the mirror and saw that chubby young boy who got braces, too many unruly curls, and had to deal with bullies.

People call him cool and competent once they know what he does for a living and that's nice, too, but no one has ever called him beautiful. And it's not like he minds, he hasn't even thought about that until now.

Now that he's laying in bed with his boyfriend, after they made love for the first time (yeah, made love because what he and Evan just did is so, so different from the sex he was used to and he's also a romantic, sue him) and Evan is leaving the imprint of his fingers all over his face. First, Evan traces the outline of his eyebrows, then thumbs at the laugh lines around his eyes and grins softly before his index finger follows the slope of his nose, down to his cupid's bow, murmuring a soft "God, your lips are perfect." Tommy believes him, and sometimes he wishes he could see himself through Evan's adoring eyes. Evan's not done, yet, and his fingers graze every inch of his face, lingering on the cleft on his chin.

"Tommy, you're beautiful," Evan whispers, his impossibly blue eyes filled with so much fondness and affection that Tommy tears up. "So beautiful."

With those few words, Evan fixes something in him that he didn't even know was broken.

Still thinking about Tan being Fang's safe space because his family can't be that and how Phum brings Peem to meet his family to support him and how Fang just tells Tan he misses him and goes to dinner alone because Phum needs Peem to be able to handle his family but Fang needs Tan to be separate from his family.

Fang sits at dinner at his family's house alone and he smiles because no one is fighting and then he goes home to Tan and smiles and laughs and whines and clings and lets all that tension go with the one person he trusts to love him even when he's imperfect, the one person he knows sees all sides of him and still loves him.

Tan is the only person who truly sees that side of Fang. Tan is the one person who's heard the tears in Fang's voice when he asks him not to just disappear and who has promised him to never go, to never stop loving him, to never think he's too much. For the rest of the world, Fang is quiet and withdrawn and he is the good son and the good student and a hard worker and then he takes all of that off when he's at home with Tan, sets it aside like a jacket, like armor, bearing himself and his soul to the one man who he punched and who loves him any way, the one man who saw him at his angriest and lowest and now wants nothing more than to kiss him until he smiles.

I am going to miss these two forever.
