I fucking love in fics when the Doctor gets hurt and the Tardis has to help his companion (mostly in romantic contexts, but others too). 9 or 10 gets hurt and Rose and the Tardis communicate via their bad wolf connection so that Rose can help him? Absolutely, gimme 20 of em. 11 or 12 has a really bad day or smtn and Clara has to try to help him, and asks the Tardis for help? Fuck yes gimme that hurt comfort. Literally any version of the Master choosing to save the Doctor and help them instead of hurting them, and spending the entire time playfully bickering with the Tardis? 100% that is my shit. 13 getting knocked tf out and Yaz cluelessly begging the Tardis for help on how to care for a stupid time lord? Fuck yes. Give me more of the Tardis telepathically communicating with companions to help the Doctor when they're hurt. I eat that shit up every single time.

I met Rose when I was 11 years old. I was a disabled girl from a council estate who grew up poor, just like she did. I wanted more from life, I wanted adventure and connection and to be something more. I looked up to Rose from the minute I saw her. She asked questions I wanted the answer to. She spoke to everyone she met with sweetness and kindness. She was flawed and human, a real girl, and I adored her.

She taught me so much. So much. But the thing that sticks in my mind, every time I think of her, is this.

That you don't just let things happen. You make a stand, you say no. You have the guts to do what's right.

I've tried to carry that into every aspect of the 20 years since. For a long while I functioned on spite and the belief that you have to be brave. And it was Rose- her tenacity, her willingness to try- that helped me through, even subconsciously.

Rose was the most important woman in the world. Doubly so for a little girl who dreamed of being whisked away to adventure. I wanted to become someone important. And I can hear the Doctor now... 'who says you're not important?' But I still feel it. I still want to be worthy of what Rose taught me.

Be brave. Be curious. But above all, be kind.

Rose Tyler was poor. She didn't finish her A-levels, she lived in government housing, she worked a shitty retail job with no hope of college or university on the horizon, she was 300% what her classist society would view as trashy; thick mascara, dark roots, the whole nine yards.

But she was the most important woman in the universe to the Doctor, to so many she impacted; beautiful, brilliant, adored. She was the love of his live(s), and so, so many who met her were touched in some way just because she was herself, and because her conviction, her love, and her compassion were so powerful that they radiated across universes, throughout time, and changed everything, over and over again.

And I know all of this has been said so many times, for almost twenty years now, but Rose, I think you will always be my favorite fictional woman of all time.

It's sometimes hard to comprehend what an important character Rose Tyler is in nuwho

She was there when they revived the show, after she disappeared she's mentioned all over season 3, she came back in season 4, you get reminded of her multiple times in season 6 and 7, she was there for the 50th anniversary, she was mentioned in the 60th anniversary, there are so many comparisons between her and Ruby that I've lost cout.

Imagine having that BIG of a chokehold on the narrative. Queen
