I threw a Jurassic World Chaos Theory watch party for some of the other storyboard artists and friends today, and celebrated the occasion by recreating a version of my old desk setup from the office (dinosaur toys, drawing reference, memes, gifts, crew drawings, etc.) with a little Ben flair.
(Also, I promise no one actually ate anything out of the boot)

Lena didn't realise how dangerous it was to go shopping for baby stuff, especially with a Kara by her side.
Every little outfit and toy was the most adorable little thing she just had to have. Every single one. She held out some hope for Kara to somehow be the sensible one, or banking on her Luthor genes to make her see reason, but as much as she tried she was not immune to the irresistible power of baby clothes.
"Look! This shirt has pictures of dinosaurs in space!" Kara said, pointing at the little adorable shirt she pulled off from the shelf. Lena thought it was the most genius design she'd ever seen.
"Okay, that is cute. You can add it." Lena tried to sound authoritative but had a feeling she was somehow failing to do so.
"Isn't that too many shirts already?" Good thing they had Brainy and Nia with them at the very least to help keep them in line.
"But it's so cute!" Nia countered Brainy's sound argument. Okay, they were lucky to have Brainy. Nia was the worst enabler.
"Kids go through many shirts! Plus, we have two." Kara tried to solidify Nia's argument. Nia in turn collected a few more shirts for their pile in the hope that Brainy would agree.
"They go through many clothes mainly due to their many growth sprouts they experience in a short time, so there's no need to purchase thirty four shirts of similar size." He calmly explained.
"Thirty four, did we really get that many?" Lena asked, slightly concerned she somehow missed the amount they were carrying up to this point. "We should probably return most of them to the shelves, get some different size clothing."
"They don't have bigger sizes at this store, and this is the cutest thing ever!" Kara argued.
"We still have to put most of them away."  Brainy really had a point.
"How can you give up on those?" Kara pulled up a random selection of shirts from their cart, all just as amazing and cute as the rest.
"It's cute, but at the end of the day it's just some silly pictures, we can get them more stuff as they grow." Lena tried her best to resist the power of the shirt. She really should've stopped picturing the way it would look at their future babies.
"It's art Lena! It's important!"
"How?"
"It would help develop their creativity and innovation! Stimulate their mind to become whatever they want to be!"
Lena narrowed her eyes, studying her closely. "We can keep half." She sighed
Kara took that as a small victory and started to categories them as best she could given the circumstances (the circumstances being all of them being cute).
"You're gonna be one of those mothers who can't say no to your kids, won't you?" Nia asked in a hush tone.
"She was unable to say no to Kara, despite her ridiculous, yet not baseless arguments. So I very much doubt she would be able to say no to two little adorable toddlers." Brainy interjected before she had a chance to answer.
He had a point.
"You said that her argument was not baseless, does it mean we can get more shirts?" Nia tried.
Brainy swallow, obviously trying his best to remain the sensible one in the group.
"One." He eventually said. Nia was already by Kara's side.
"We're all doomed, aren't we?" Brainy asked Lena, his eyes trained on his wife and Kara who were already in a heated debate regarding the tiny clothing.
"Oh, yes. Very doomed." Lena answered back. Those kids were about to run them wild.

I was at first in love with totk, and I still think mechanical wise, its quite impressive
And when I collected all the tears and saw the "story" I genuinely got upset in a good way (at first), because man! Did they really got the balls to go that far? Is there nothing I can do for her? Now I MUST do all the temples, see how it plays out and --oh, I've got this cutscene already. Why are all the people so dumb about Zelda, I KNOW where she is, Link say something-- Link??
After finishing all the temples and almost falling asleep, I stopped playing the game, looked up the last boss and remaining cutscenes and went "Thats it?"
Watching other people (including you) being critically about so many things, both character and mechanical wise, I've almost startled myself with a realization what the gnawing feeling I constantly had, actually was.
Totk feels like a fanfic.
And don't get me wrong, I love fanfiction, I think its great and important, I adore fanfic writers, I love finding gems, I love reading self indulgent stories, see new spins and interpretation of characters. I love the casual, the passion, the creativity!
But totk gives me the same feeling everytime I am reminded that Fifty Shades is a Twillight fanfic.
The world is there. The faces I know and grew to love are there. But everything is ever so slightly different, uncannily so. Just how some characters talk, how they act, how they were placed in the story. The Zonai appearing out of nowhere, but no, they always had been there you see, they were these super magical advanced people but they all died, the king is so tragic. And you see, the king is super cool and powerful and-- oh I dont get to interact with him outside of the tutorial. Did they try to do another King Rhoam-- but wait, that only worked because we didn't knew he was a ghost-- totk wait stop why do you take him out of the story, why couldn't he be a companion, he IS ABLE TO TALK THROUGH THE ARM LET THE OLD GOAT COMMENT ON STUFF?? If you bring up all this ancient stuff and you still got a ghost lingering, let him talk?? (I never ended up getting Mineru but I smell wasted potential as well)
Im not even mad, I am disappointed. It feels like the devs saw what all the lore hunters got attached to and talked about and then just... took the "cool". All the Zonai stuff could've easily been Sheikah tech, but got just reskinned to look more exciting instead of being its own thing.
Like... at this point I prefer what fans are doing over what Totk gave us. The characterization of Rauru (and everything Zonai), projects like you do of what totk couldve been, the little nuggets of actual highlights and details of love fans find in the game. I found much more enjoyment in these concepts than I got from a 70bucks game. And thats depressing.
I love fanfiction. I dont love it when my corporate 70 dollar, six year development, console exclusive game feels like a story that passionate fan couldve written miles better in a week (and I've already seen much cooler and interesting rewrites and ideas).
Zelda has been a huge part of my childhood and its depressing seeing it treated like that. It always was about the story, the epic, its The Legend of Zelda for crying out loud. To be courageous to enter a dungeon, to be wise and solve all the riddles. To become powerful over the journey you embarked on. Zelda to me is the campfire story you tell to others and go into the woods or the beach and imagine what monsters you would slay. Zelda is not the sandcastle you build in the sandbox and then add dinosaurs and star wars ships because you didn't had any other toys, and just stumble into and over some story to entertain yourself until lunch is ready.
I'd have an oracle of seasons over another totk any day at this point. They should've just make the mechanics of totk its own thing, but I guess they were scared it wouldn't sell if it doesn't have a Mario or Zelda skin straped over it.
Anyways, sorry for the mini rant - love your art, love your thoughts and insights, and I am looking forward to see more of it - Zelda related or not (your original characters look amazing, I adore your style sm)
Hope you have a great rest of the day!
*nods along through this entire rant*
idk how many of my rants you have read but yeah ... yeah ... and the further you think about it the further it all falls apart, the wasted potential of it all and the goddamn audacity of them to do those interviews in which they make it EVEN WORSE is just
i know the expectation for a direct sequel to botw was huge and understandbly so but i really REALLY think it would not have been that hard to make it a good follow up even taking into account that totk was originally a DLC, pretty much all of botws aspects could have been developed further, i dont know what could have happened to make totk have turned out like this .. literally it feels like something had to have gone wrong, its like someone who doesnt know zelda nor botw at all was given a few prompts and then just made some generic fantasy story while the rest worked on ultrahand for 5 years
the technical impressive things ARE technical impressive, but i dont think it was necessary nor served the game well in any way (and i LOVE building games- however totk is neither a building game nor a story game nor a zelda game nor an exploration game nor a sequel imo) but zelda, this zelda, is not made for that and i cant help but think it was mainly to encourage people to make some ridiculous mechs so it can go viral on tiktok (not trying to discredit them, it IS cool what they are doing but i .... have my doubts if zelda is the right place for that)
ill stop there bc i have ranted so much about everything i dont wanna repeat it here again; it just doesnt feel like a real game (derogatory), it feels extra bad bc i was not really into zelda when botw came out and while i did get it as soon as i could (months after release since i just started a minijob and didnt have the money) i only over time grew to love zelda this much again, devouring any theories and anything about it bc i loved it so much- i was never into it like this when a new title was announced and dont own any special editions so i bought the totk collectors bc i was just so damn excited for it after the 2019 trailer dropped (god i want that time back ... it looked so much more like it was going to be an actual sequel) even if i was already worried it wouldnt be good at that point given how much i started to sense stuff i dont like about the newer trailers
i recently sold it at our local gameshop bc it was like a thorn in my side given how expensive it was and how dissapointed i was in the game, i genuinely think that, technical impressiveness aside, totk is the onyl zelda i truly cannot stand (for alot of reasons) and im genuinely worried for the future of the franchise
i bought an Oki (Okami) figurine for what i got back and i feel much happier with that :3
(also on a note, i did finish the game two weeks after release but stopped playing it right then and hadnt touched it since, i also streamed all of what i played and its still up if you want to see my slow descend into madness fjkdhkdhjk though its been a long while since then and i by far did not talk about everything back then, just what my most immediate frustrations were while still playing)
(also the gameplay isnt as good as people make it out to be, so much is so frustrating and punishing to use i am kinda baffled it got through like that and most people call that its best aspect ..... though i guess if the rest is so much worse even mid gameplay can seem good ooooooooh how dare i)
also thank you for liking what i do!!! <3 it means alot to know it is appreciated by someone :D

No because Patrick would be THE uncle! He'd spoil Lily and always be there to take care of her if Art and Tashi have to travel somewhere. He'd buy her ice cream and so many toys and whatever she asks for. In my mind, he'd have the feeling that he needs to make up all the lost years for that he couldn't spend with the two and their sweet daughter.
Yeah :(((( I feel like he’d be weirded tf out around Lily at first, like he has no real experience around kids so it’s just awkward, but Lily thinks he’s so cool. He sneaks her candy and sweets (because he also is sneaking candy and sweets). She thinks he’s funny because he talks back to Tashi and Art, and he swears around her then tries to stop but accidentally swears more.
Patrick watches her movies with her! Spiderverse and Inside Out. But Patrick’s like, actually, this shit is lame let’s watch something else. Turns on, like, Goonies and Surfs Up and Jurassic Park and kickstarts her dinosaur expression.
Tashi and Art sit him down about that one, give him a lesson about age appropriate movies. Whatever, she liked it, she wasn’t even scared. She’s a cool ass kid.
But yeah, he missed 12 years of Tashi and Art’s lives, their whole kid. He feels like he owes it to them to try. It’s not his fault that Lily starts liking him more than the very respectable and expensive nanny they hired.

Spitting thoughts out:
Lmao notice how there is stuff all over the downstairs and the upstairs hallways and staircases but he left the kitchen mostly clean? Same. Getting to food = important.
So it makes sense that they have multiple med kits and fire extinguishers because they’re a rescue family.
Cody seems to have a lot of dinosaur related little kid stuff so Dino kid confirmed.
He seems to be a big reader but Cody’s a smart kid so yeah we could’ve figured that. Also I bet Charlie has preached the need to get off the internet and do other things.
Makes sense that he has a lot of soccer balls because apparently it’s the family sport. Kade, Dani, and Graham have lots of soccer trophies. There was a whole episode about how Cody is bad at soccer.
Makes sense he has a lot of basket balls and baseballs. We see the family play basketball all the time and at the end of the soccer episode, Kade insists Cody try out for baseball.
You would think they’d have a shed or something to put all their sports stuff in??? Why have them inside????
Why the boomboxes?? I could see if one of them used to be Charlie’s and he gave it to Cody, but why two?
The magician hat and the trumpet are both call backs from previous episodes. I don’t remember exactly the trumpet one, but it was when he was trying new things for a lad pioneer badge or extra credit in school or something. Heatwave recommended martial arts but it didn’t go well???
The duplicate of the Teddy bear with the police shirt and the duplicate of the magician hat are clear accidents.
The moose hat is because the moose is the mascot of the team Kade was on.
Why the tuba? What’s with the water tanks? Cody has his own plant? When’d he make the Optimus head? That would’ve been cute to see!
Why the hell does he have so many rubber ducky’s?!?!?!???
//Don’t take this post too seriously. I know there’s going to be animation errors. I find it amusing.
Bonus:
Tumblr media
54. Lucky soccer shorts from first grade
55. Mr. Macaroni from preschool

AU where Professor YN and Professor Dimitrescu share a dance together. Art by iandipen
Tumblr media
You leaned back in your office chair, kicked your feet up on your desk, and rested the back of your head in your hands. It had been an extremely long day at the college grading midterms, each professor had been shut up in their office with their heads in papers and computers, laptops, and MacBooks. The students were enjoying their first day of spring break while you and the other professors were hard at work. The college halls were empty and eerily silent, which left you feeling unsettled. It was simply unnatural to for the school to be this quiet, there was always the sound of people walking up and down the halls, keys dangling from lanyards, pens and pencils writing on paper, the clicks of keyboards from people typing.
You decided to put on some music to calm your nerves while enjoying your lunch break. Most of the professors would be going to the break room to enjoy lunch provided by the Headmistress from a local restaurant. It was a nice way to end the quarter before going on break, but you decided not to go. It was your first year teaching at this college and you had too many papers to grade since you decided to take on an extra class. You you wanted to get home a decent hour rather than being stuck past 7pm. You decided to bring snacks to eat during the day instead of having a lunch, that way you wouldn’t get distracted by the staff lunch and could get work done. You knew that if you walked up to the professor’s lounge, it would be over. There would be no way you would get any more paper grading done, so you decided to work in your office and spend your lunch break dozing off for just a little bit while listening to the music play.
You smiled when the sound of Glen Miller’s Moonlight Serenade came on and sighed out. That song always calmed you down and put you at ease. You turned the volume up all the way, put the song on loop, and leaned back in your chair again. It wasn’t like there was anyone around that would complain about the music being too loud, and even so it was just Glen Miller. Who would ever complain about this song?
“Why Miss L/N, I didn’t take you for a fan of Glen Miller,” said a low voice from the door. You smiled and sat up in your chair to greet your friend, turning the music down a bit. “There’s a lot of things you don’t know about me, Professor Dimitrescu.” Alcina strut into your office and tutted at you.
“Sleeping on the job? I thought you said you would be getting your work done today, and yet here you are,” she sat down on your desk, pulling the ends of her skirt down, “lulling about.”
“Everyone deserves a nice break, Alcina. I believe it was you who originally told me that and stressed how important it is to not overdo it,” you said, eyes closed and leaned back in the chair.
“I believe what I said was don’t overdo it, not sleep on the job. Perhaps I should report your insubordination to the headmistress,” she teased you, smiling back.
“Snitch,” you teased back. Alcina rolled her eyes at you and stood up from your desk.
“I came to collect you for the spring break party,” the taller woman said, crossing her arms over chest.
“Oh, I’ve had my fair share of spring break parties. My parties days are over I’m afraid, but you kids have fun.” You waved your hand and playfully shooed her off
“Kids?” Alcina smiled at you and rolled her eyes, looking at a rubix cube, a stress ball, and some squishy dinosaur toys you had on your desk. “I’m older than you.” Alcina placing her hands on her hips and leaning on her foot. You felt your face blush and swallowed, the ends of Alcina’s mouth curving upward ever so slightly. The two of you had been flirting with each other ever since you started working at the college.
“It hardly shows. I swear, when I first met you I thought we were the same age.” She blushed and chuckled a little, her voice rumbling in her chest. You wanted to feel the vibration of her vocal cords in your mouth and kiss her. This little game of cat and mouse you two had been playing since the beginning of the year was itching away at you. You weren’t entirely sure if Alcina had the same feelings for you, or if she was just indulging herself.
“Charming as always,” Alcina said. “Now are you coming to lunch or not?”
“Eh, I don’t think so. As much as I’d like to, I won’t get any work done for the rest of the day if I go.”
“I can understand that,” Alcina nodded. Moonlight serenade began to play again and she smiled, slowly swaying her head back and forth. “I do so love this song.” You smiled up at her and stood from your chair, leaning against the desk.
“I do too. It really calms me down.”
Alcina smirked at you and batted her eyes gently. “Am I making you nervous?”
“No, no,” you chuckled nervously, “I just- you know, it’s been a long day with these papers. Just spikes up my anxiety sometimes. That’s all.”
“Well, don’t let me keep you from your work.” You frowned and felt your heart sink. You didn’t want her to leave, you wanted to spend more time with her. Work be damned, you could always come in tomorrow and do the rest.
“Oh no, no. You’re not keeping me from my work.” You tried not to seem too obvious and attempted to be cool about it, not wanting to come off as desperate. Again, the ends of her lips curved upwards as you walked over to her from the other side of the desk. She looked you up and down quickly, her face glowing from the sun’s rays, wrinkles and laugh lines more defined.
“Good,” she said, stepping closer. You were inches from each other. You could feel your face heating up and you had butterflies in your stomach. Alcina reached up for a loss button on your collar shirt and buttoned it up. “This was lose.” You both stepped forward slightly, the music ringing in your ears. For months now, you wanted to grab the older woman’s face and smash your lips onto hers hard, rip her clothes off, run your hands down her back and hold her close to you in your arms.
“Thank you,” you said. “Umm….” Should you take a chance? “Alcina, I was wondering….” What if she said no and rejected your advances? Did she actually like you, or was she just stringing you on? What if you mistook her friendship for something more? What if she felt uncomfortable by you and stopped talking all together?
“Yes YN?” Alcina asked, looking back into your eyes.
“Would you….” You were too nervous to ask her and instead let your body do it for you. You reached a hand up, offering a dance. Alcina blushed down at you and took it. You felt your face melt off from heat and your stomach leaped. You felt her fingers close around your hand and placed your hand on her hip while she rested hers on your shoulder. You awkwardly swayed back and forth on your feet and held Alcina close.
“YN, do you actually know how to dance?” Alcina asked chuckling. You were far too happy to care, lost in her beauty and enjoying this moment that you had been killing for.
“No, not really.”
“Well, perhaps I’ll teach you.”
“You know… I would really like that.”
“As would I.” You felt your heart melt and followed her lead, trying not to step on her feet. Having Alcina in your arms like this, dancing with her, moving your hips with hers, it was a dream come true. Not exactly how you pictured things going, but it was even better than what you imagined. You wanted more of Alcina, wanted to spend more time with her, wanted to know her better, you wanted her to love you back. You fell hard for this woman the day you met her and you were getting antsy and impatient after all these months of waiting. You didn’t want to scare Alcina off knowing she did not trust most people and waited patiently for her.
It finally paid off. Alcina rested her head on your shoulder and wrapped her arms around your neck. You locked your arms around her waist and held her close to your body. “You know, I’ve liked you for some time now, YN.”
“Really?” you smiled. Alcina lifted her head up slightly.
“Have I not made that clear with all the passes I’ve made and the flirtatious jokes?”
“Hahaha, no you have. I just… I respect you, Alcina. I know it’s hard for you to trust people and I don’t want to push you. But, I really like you.” You gently began rubbing her back softly as the music played on.
“Thank you, YN. I know I can be… difficult sometimes at reciprocating feelings.”
“Worth the wait, Professor.” Alcina smiled and looked at you. You stared back at her and grinned, leaning in to her face until her lips touched yours. Alcina gently caressed your face and deepened the kiss with you. You held her tightly against you, not ever wanting to let go of this perfect woman.
Yeah, the wait was definitely worth it.

Imagination in a Box (TADC! Nursery AU)
Plot: The babies are given an empty cardboard box, and they have to use their imagination to see what it can be used as.
Tumblr media
Heavily based (and quoted) on a Baby Looney Tunes episode called “Card Bored Box”.
The clay booger bit is heavily referenced by a Bluey episode called “Stories”.
TADC! Nursery AU belongs to @txttabloid
Tumblr media
It was raining outside, and the babies were staring out the window in their playroom.
“Man, this stinks…” Jax groaned. “Why does the rain have to ruin our fun and force us inside?”
“It’s spring. Caine says it rains all the time during the spring. What else is new?” Zooble rolled their eyes.
“I know! We can play in here until the rain stops,” Ragatha suggested.
“We’ve played with every toy in here. Many times.”
“Oh…”
“I can read from my insect books to you guys,” Kinger said.
“You read all of them to us. A bajillion times,” Jax countered.
Caine flew into the playroom to check on the babies and saw the bored expressions on the their faces.
“My, my! What’s with the long faces, kids?” Caine asked.
“It’s been raining for ages! We’re bored,” Pomni said.
“Hmm… why don’t you all play a game?”
“But we’ve already played with every toy and game and read every book in this whole circus. Many times,” Jax argued.
“Oh? How many times is that?”
“Too many!” the babies exclaimed in unison.
“I just wish there was something fun that we could do,” Gangle sighed.
“Something that we never did before,” Ragatha added.
Caine scratched his chin to figure out how the babies could be entertained. A lightbulb popped above his head when he got an idea.
“I’ll be right back,” Caine said as he flew out of the playroom.
The babies looked at each other with confusion and shrugged.
The ringmaster came back a minute later and brought in a giant cardboard box.
“Ooh, what’s inside the box?” Gangle pondered.
“Is it a new toy?” Jax asked excitedly.
Caine opened the box, which had nothing inside. The babies were shocked, then disappointed.
“Hey, where’s the new toy?” Jax frowned.
"There’s no need for a new toy for today's rainy day adventure, Jax,” Caine replied.
“Oh, great… another adventure…” Zooble muttered.
“I think you’ll like this one a lot, Zooble. Today’s adventure is called 'Imagination in a Box'," Caine announced. "You have to use your imagination to see what this box could be!"
"Caine, what's imagi… imagina…?" Ragatha questioned, having trouble pronouncing the word “imagination”.
"Imagination is when you picture things with your mind. This box here can be anything you want it to be."
The babies were still confused on what Caine was talking about.
“Why don’t you kiddos take a look out the window?” Caine asked as he pointed at said window. “See those clouds up in the sky?”
“Yeah?” the babies responded.
“The clouds can form into any shape your mind pictures them out to be. For example, I can imagine that one of the clouds is a dinosaur.”
“Ooooh!”
“What do you kids see?”
“I can see a beetle!” Kinger pointed at one of the clouds.
“And I see a puppy!” Ragatha exclaimed.
“See? That’s a prime example of using your imagination,” Caine said. “That’s what I want you to do with this box. Just imagine what this box can be and you won’t be bored. Good luck and have fun, my little superstars!”
Caine then left the playroom as the babies headed over to the box.
“So, we have the box. What are we supposed to do with it again?” Pomni asked.
“We have to use our imagination,” Gangle explained. “I’m going to pretend it’s an art school.”
“I don’t see it an art school,” Ragatha disagreed. “I see it as a doctor’s office.”
“I think it’s supposed to be a house?” Pomni questioned.
“What about you, Zooble?” Ragatha asked.
“I don’t know, a pirate ship, I guess?” Zooble shrugged.
“Those ideas are silly,” Jax laughed. “I say that it’s the world’s fastest racing car!”
“Well, I think it’s the world’s tallest, biggest castle in the world, given the fact that I’m a royal,” Kinger said. “It even has a humungous room for my insect collection!”
“No way!”
The babies started arguing about what the box was really for. They argued and argued until Ragatha cried out, “Wait!”
“This isn’t working out. There’s only one way to know what the box is,” Ragatha said.
“I’m glad you’re starting to see things my way,” Jax smirked with pride.
“No, Jax, we should take turns imagining all of what we just said. We’ll play art school first, then doctor, then house, then pirate ship, then race car, and then castle.”
“So we’ll see which idea is more fun than the others?” Gangle asked. “And then, the best idea wins?”
“Exactly!”
———
Gangle’s Idea: Art School
“Welcome to art school!” Gangle greeted her students. “I am your teacher, Miss Gangle, and we’re going to be making things out of clay.”
“What kind of things are we making?” Pomni asked as she raised her hand.
“You can make anything you want. All that matters is that you have fun and get creative! Now, get to work, class!”
The rest of the babies spent some time crafting and sculpting whatever they wanted with the clay that Gangle gave them.
“Alright, let’s see what you came up with,” Gangle said once time was up. She flew around to critiue her students’ projects, starting with Pomni.
Pomni made a duck, Ragatha made a cat, Kinger made a butterfly, and Zooble made a penguin.
“You guys made such great sculptures!” Gangle praised. “But, where’s Jax?”
Jax snuck behind Gangle and sneezed while holding up a clay next to his nose. Gangle yelped and jumped in surprise.
“Booger!” Jax shouted as Gangle ran away crying.
“Eww!” the rest of the babies cringed.
“Jax, you can’t scare the teacher,” Ragatha berated.
“What? Gangle said we can make whatever we wanted, didn’t she?” Jax shrugged.
“Anyway, it’s my turn.”
———
Ragatha’s Idea: Doctor’s Office
“There you go, sir,” Ragatha said to Kinger after giving him a pretend checkup. “Just drink plenty of water and rest, and your sticker-itis will go away in a few days.”
“Thank you,” Kinger, covered in stickers, nodded.
“Oh, I almost forgot your lollipop.”
Ragatha went over to her doctor’s bag to grab a lollipop for her patient when she saw that they were gone.
“Hey, where did my lollipops go?” Ragatha questioned.
She then heard a burp and looked over at Jax, who had lollipop wrappers and sticks next to him.
“Nurse Jax! Those lollipops were for the patients!” Ragatha scowled.
Jax let out another burp, which made Ragatha sigh and face palm.
———
Pomni’s Idea: House
Pomni was setting up the table at her house when the door knocked.
“I’ll get it,” Pomni said. “It must be the guests.”
The jester went to the door and opened it for the guests. Ragatha and Zooble were the parents, Gangle was the parents’ daughter, Kinger was the family’s dog, and Jax was Gangle’s baby brother.
“I hate this…” Jax grumbled.
“Hello there. Welcome to our house,” Pomni greeted. “Please come inside.”
The family then walked inside the home.
“My, what a cute baby you have!” Pomni cooed at Jax.
“Wah! Wah!” Jax pretend-cried.
“Oh, my! Your baby must be hungry.”
The jester pulled out a baby bottle and put it in Jax’s mouth, only for him to spit it out.
“Blegh! Baby formula!” Jax exclaimed.
“Now, now, baby, that’s not polite,” Zooble scolded. “Remember, you’re a guest in someone’s home.”
Pomni put the bottle back in Jax’s mouth, causing everyone to laugh.
“Okay, this isn’t so bad,” Zooble chuckled, which made Jax glare at them.
“Why don’t we all sit down and have some refreshments?” Pomni proposed as everyone sat around the table. The jester handed Kinger a squeaky bone and served the rest of the babies some cookies on a plate.
“You didn’t have to go through so much trouble,” Ragatha said as she took a bite of a cookie, only to recoil at its taste.
Zooble and Gangle each ate a cookie, only to shudder in disgust as well.
“Yeah, Pomni… you really shouldn’t have…” Zooble gagged.
“Uh, Miss Pomni, what kind of cookies are these?” Gangle asked.
“It’s my famous recipe: pureed beets and oatmeal raisin,” Pomni said. She saw the disgusted looks on her guests’ faces and her face fell. “Are they not good?”
“Now, now, Mama, Dada, and big sister, that’s not polite,” Jax smirked. “Remember, you’re guests in someone’s home.”
Ragatha, Zooble, and Gangle managed to eat all of the cookies on the plate.
“Those… those were really good cookies,” Ragatha groaned.
“Yeah, it’s a shame they’re all gone,” Zooble mumbled.
“All gone? I made a lot more so you can take some to go,” Pomni said as she pulled out another plate of her cookies.
Ragatha, Zooble, and Gangle screamed in horror and fainted. Jax laughed and wheezed while Kinger took a bite of a cookie and gagged.
“Kinger, cookies aren’t good for dogs,” Pomni chastised.
———
Zooble’s Idea: Pirate Ship
Zooble had transformed the box into their own pirate ship. They looked through their telescope and spotted a chest of toys.
“Argh! I spot some burried treasure up ahead!” Zooble exclaimed. “First mate Ragatha!”
“Yes, Captain Zooble-beard?” Ragatha asked as she walked over to the captain.
“Go down to the deck and tell the crew to hoist up the anchor so we can set sail.”
“Yes, Captain Zooble-beard.”
Ragatha climbed down the box and headed to the galley, where Jax, Kinger, Pomni, and Gangle were swabbing the poop deck.
“Attention, crew, Captain Zooble-beard said to-” Ragatha began to say.
“Yeah, yeah, we heard her,” Jax rolled his eyes.
Ragatha climbed back up to the ship.
“This isn’t fair… Zooble and Ragatha are doing all the fun stuff and we’re stuck down here doing all of the chores,” Jax complained.
“What are we going to do?” Kinger asked.
Jax thought about it for a minute, then got an idea.
“I know! We’re gonna sneak up to the deck, and then…” Jax said to the crew before whispering the rest of his idea to them.
“Are you sure that’s a good idea, Jax? What if we get in trouble?” Pomni worried.
“No need to worry! It’s four of us and two of them.”
Jax, Pomni, Gangle, and Kinger ended up getting caught and tied up by the captain and first mate.
“Since you four decided to betray your own captain and take over the ship, I shall make you walk the plank!” Zobble declared.
“Walk the plank?!” Jax gasped.
“Walk the plank?!” Kinger trembled.
“Walk the plank?!” Pomni gulped.
“Walk the plank?!” Gangle whimpered.
The crew then got confused.
“What’s a plank?” The crew asked Zooble.
“It means that first mate Ragatha and I are going to throw you overboard,” Zooble frustradedly clarified.
“Well, I’m over this and bored,” Jax rolled his eyes. “It’s my turn to show you what the box is really used for.”
———
Jax’s Idea: Race Car
Jax set the box up like a race car. He pretended that he was speeding and racing against other race cars.
“Uh-oh, better pull into the pit stop,” Jax said as he drove over to the said pit stop. “Alright, team! Change the oil! Refill the gas tank! Change the tires! We’ve got a lot to do if I’m gonna win the grand prix!”
The pit crew, however, didn’t budge. They were completely bored and didn’t care about Jax’s race car game.
“For the last time, we’re not changing anything,” Zooble stated.
“You’re not even gonna refill my sippy cup with carrot juice?” Jax asked as he held out his empty sippy cup.
“No.”
“Well, I think it’s my turn now, and I think you guys are going to like this game,” Kinger spoke up.
———
Kinger’s Idea: Castle
Kinger was sitting upon his throne, admiring his beetle plushie and pretending it was his pet.
“Oh, Maxwell, it is a lovely day in my kingdom,” Kinger said as he got up and walked over to his friends, who were dressed up in royal costumes.
The chess piece held the plushie to his ear. “What’s that? Oh, yes, we should invite my royal subjects to a tour to of my insect collection room. Our collection has grown a lot over the past year!”
“Gee… this may be fun for you, but this is ridiculous for me,” Jax, dressed as a knight, complained. “I enjoyed the race car game the best.”
The bunny proceeded to throw his race car costume in the box.
“I had much more fun playing doctor,” Ragatha, dressed as a queen, said as she tossed her doctor’s kit in the box.
“I liked playing house,” Pomni, dressed as a prince, stated as she chucked her cookies in the box.
“Pirates wasn’t even that bad,” Zooble, dressed as a princess, admitted as they threw their pirate stuff in the box.
“And I liked art school,” Gangle, dressed as a dragon, said as she put her art supplies in the box.
The babies began squabbling over which game was the best. They shouted and began playing tug-of-war with the box.
Suddenly, the box flew out of the babies hands and transformed into something new, something that caused the babies to gasp in awe. The box transformed into a mega house that had all of the babies' stuff split into different sections.
“What is it?” Ragatha asked.
“It’s a pirate-castle-art school-racing-doctor-house!” Gangle realized.
“Oh, come on! There’s no such thing,” Jax scoffed.
“Not if you use your imagination.”
The babies excitedly ran over to the box.
———
Caine went into the playroom to check on the babies when he saw them having the time of their lives, doing their own thing in the box.
“My, my! What’s happening in here?” Caine asked.
“We’re using our imagination,” Kinger said.
“Yeah, and do you know what the best part about it is? We put our imaginations together,” Pomni said.
“Well, I must say, I’m impressed!” Caine smiled. “You turned a plain, old box into a… uh, what is it, exactly?”
“A pirate-castle-art school-racing-doctor-house,” Gangle explained.
“Oh, a pirate-castle-art school-racing-doctor-house! That’s impressive!”
Caine then flew over to the window and opened the curtains.
“I came in here to tell you that the rain stopped, so you guys are free to go out and play,” Caine said, only to notice that the babies weren’t really paying attention. They were laughing and having fun with their pirate-castle-art school-racing-doctor-house. Caine chuckled at this and flew off, leaving the babies to their adventure.

Movie Ask Game.
A list of years.
1950
1960
1970
1980
1990
2000
My IMDB list coming in clutch 😂
While scrolling through my list, I noticed some years have a lot listed. So I'm going to list ones I like, then try and pick out a favorite.
1950 Cinderella ✨ (it's the only movie I have in this year so, 😂)
1960 The ones that stuck out to me for this year are The Apartment, Psycho, Inherit the Wind, and The Magnificent Seven. I think my favorite one within this year is Inherit the Wind.
1970 The Aristocats (like Cinderella, it's the only one in this year I have 😅 but I do enjoy this movie)
1980 Omg, the iconic Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back. There's also The Blues Brothers, Airplane!, Superman II, and Popeye (Christopher Reeve and Robin Williams, God rest them). It's a close tie between Star Wars, The Blues Brothers, Airplane! and Popeye. Star Wars is the icon, but The Blue Brothers and Airplane! leave me on the floor in tears. And as someone who grew up watching some Popeye the Sailor episodes, I remember Popeye being enjoyable to watch, and thinking it was a good live action version.
1990 Here there is Tremors, The Hunt for Red October, Pretty Woman, Dances with Wolves, Home Alone, The Rescuers Down Under, The Prince and the Pauper, Edward Scissorhands, and Awakenings. Half of these left a mark on me as a child. The dramas were real heavy and intense on my little brain, but I knew they were really good films. Now that I'm older, they still hold up to be really good films to me. There's something about them that strikes me. However, I don't know why yet, but Home Alone makes me uncomfortable, and every year I want to watch it during the holidays, but can't bring myself to sit through certain scenes lol but it's so good because it's such a simple story. But my favorites would have to be The Prince and the Pauper and Awakenings. Although, Tremors is so funny, and enjoyable to me as well.
2000 There's so many from this year. There's An Extremely Goofy Movie, Life-Size, Erin Brockovich, The Road to El Dorado, The Flinstones in Viva Rock Vegas, Gladiator, O Brother, Where Art Thou? , Dinosaur, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon , In the Mood for Love, Gone in 60 Seconds, Titan A.E., Chicken Run, Scary Movie, X-Men, Coyote Ugly, Bring It On, Men of Honor, Remember the Titans, Meet the Parents, Pay It Forward, Charlie's Angels, Little Nicky, Rugrats in Paris, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Phantom of the Megaplex, Unbreakable, The Emperor's New Groove, Cast Away, Dude, Where's My Car? , Miss Congeniality, and Chocolat.
Life-Size, The Road to El Dorado, Gladiator, Dinosaur, Gone in 60 Seconds, Titan A.E., Bring It On, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and The Emperor's New Groove are up there and are my favorites. The rest of the movies mentioned also made an impact on me and hold a lot of precious memories with loved ones.
While I'm at it, I'll share what I remember with some of these movies. I remember being blown away by the Dinosaur trailer when our teacher popped in a VHS of a movie in the tv with an attached VHS player at the bottom of it lol then I later learned they filmed real places and input the CGI/animated dinosaurs after, and it was all mind-blowing and fascinating to me, and became one of the reasons why I grew to love film even more, and wanting to be a part of it. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was talked about a lot in school, and some classmates would try and reenact some scenes lol In the Mood for Love is a classic. And I remember seeing The Emperor's New Groove in theaters when it first released, and the theater not being crowded, and realizing in my gut, within that moment, Walt Disney Studios was on it's last great movie streak for my generation, and times were changing, and things in animation weren't going to be the same again, partly because of Pixar turning heads for Toy Story, A Bug's Life, and Toy Story 2 hence not a lot of people being that interested in certain animated stories/movies. It was a bittersweet moment I had, and I'll never forget the ones who were in the theater laughing at the beginning of The Emperor's New Groove 🥲🥹

How do you organize/store your stickers? :o
My friend. You have opened a whole Can of Worms*. I shall gladly answer your question, sorry it took so long I had to figure out how to do it with a ten picture limit asdfghjkl
*Worms would be located under "Wild Animals -> Bugs" or alternatively "Individuals -> Mostly Wild Animals -> Non-Butterfly Bugs"
So first off.
The sticker bins themselves are mostly kept in my closet, though the ones I use the most (Individuals, Domestic Animals, and Food/Garden) are kept under my bed for easy access.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have 14 bins of stickers total (though I'll be honest some of them are getting Very Full and I probably need to get some more). Each bin has its own category, though many have subcategories. And they're all approximately shoebox sized.
Tumblr media
Early Year Holidays/Seasons (New Year's, Winter, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Spring, Fourth of July, and Summer)
Late Year Holidays/Seasons (Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Fall)
Latest Year Holidays/Seasons (Christmas and Christian stickers)
Shapes/Patterns (Hearts, Stars, Smiley faces, Other Shapes™, Borders, and Words and Affirmations)
Wild Animals (Sea Creatures, Bugs, Woodland Creatures, Other Creatures™, Bears, and Dinosaurs. Admittedly the subcategories for this one are kinda wack)
Domestic Animals (Dogs, Cats, Bunnies, Rodents, and Farm Animals)
Miscellaneous (...I have a different diagram to explain the subcategories here)
Non-Disney Characters/Logos (Characters My Brothers Like, Scooby Doo, Superheroes, ""Girly"" Characters, Colleges, and Various Other Trademarked Stickers)
Disney Characters/Alphabet (Muppets, Mickey & Friends, Princesses, Fairies, and Alphabet. Weird combo I know but I have a surprising number of Disney alphabet stickers)
Food/Garden (Ice Cream, Candy, Cupcakes, Fruit, Fast Food, Other Food, Flowers, Other Plants, and Gardening)
Weird Shaped Packages (no real subcategories but this is where I keep Sticker Books and Sticker Flake Packages)
Individuals (I have another diagram for the subcategories here)
Mrs. Grossman's Sticker Club Part 1
Mrs. Grossman's Sticker Club Part 2
(Note that I hope to organize the Mrs. Grossman's Sticker Club stickers into their respective categories before I leave for college but that may or may not actually occur :P)
The Miscellaneous tote is an organized, if lawless, land. Here are the subcategories for it!
Tumblr media
(I wanted to color code the text but Tumblr only has like 7 colors 😔)
Maroon: Stationary/School
Red: Music/Theatre
Pink: Travel/Countries
Magenta: Modes of Travel
Orange: SPACE!!
Yellow: Science/Technology
Gold: True Miscellaneous/Pretty Things
Bright Green: Fantasy
Forest Green: Sports
Teal: People/Occupations (ie clowns, cowboys, ninjas, etc.)
Cyan: "Girly" Things (ballerinas, teacups, purses, etc.)
Royal Blue: Parts of People (eyeballs, mostly)
Indigo: Games/ Toys
Purple: Baby/Birthday
Then there's the Individuals tote. "Individuals" basically refers to any sticker that is smaller than your average sheet that I'm worried would get lost in a big tote. This includes sticker mods, stickers off a roll, sticker flakes, anything cut out of a larger sheets, water bottle/laptop stickers, and just. Small sticker sheets.
I, apparently, have 20 main snack bags, each with several subcategories (though there's enough of them that I'll leave most of them to your imagination rather than list them all XD). Most of them mirror the categories of the big totes, but some are unique.
Tumblr media
A: Shapes/Patterns
B: Nature (includes weather, plants, and beach stickers)
C: Miscellaneous 1 (art and travel focused)
D: Miscellaneous 2 ("true" miscellaneous)
E: Miscellaneous 3 (school and science focused)
F: Early Year Holidays/Seasons (Winter-Summer) + Birthday
G: Late Year Holidays/Seasons (Fall-Winter)
H: Food/Scratch and Sniff
I: Domestic Animals
J: Mostly Domesticated Animals
K: Mostly Wild Animals
L: Wild Animals
M: Zoo Animals**
N: Bears
O: Disney Characters
P: Non-Disney Characters
Q: Logos/Companies
R: Words and Affirmations
S: Water Bottle Stickers Overflow (they physically don't fit in the other bags)
T: Tile Stickers
**Zoo Animals is different than Wild Animals in that "Zoo Animals" means the sticker has one particular animal instead of an assortment of different animals (which falls under "Wild Animals".) Yes it's very arbitrary. All the animal distinctions are tbh.
Of course, putting the stickers under my bed and in my closet means I don't get to admire them very often. To counteract this I have a display board I put some new/seasonal/favorite stickers on.
Tumblr media
Currently on display I have a Discowing sticker, a summer sticker mod, and a sticker sheet from my penpal when she visited (plus some bonus sticky notes from the penpal as well).
Since I'm sure you're wondering, the stuffed rabbits are named, from left to right, Blueberry (made by a friend!), Snorb (also made by a friend!), Mocha, Mellie, York, and Spotty.
Of course not every sticker I get is fortunate enough to have a backing. Sometimes I'll get stickers from the supermarket or I'll peel them off a package and I know they'd never survive in the bins, so they go in the Hello Kitty sticker book!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I've had this thing since I was like 4. I'm a little bit obsessed if I'm being honest. She's never let me down.
And that's the important stuff for stickers! Though I wanted to show off my other stationary, too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I keep all my miscellaneous scrapbooking materials/stationary in a Batman lunch tin. All of my letters and envelopes are in an old shoebox. Both are stationed at the end of my comic book shelf! The tin and the assorted letter sets are hidden behind the two Batman stuffies :P
.....does that answer your question? :D

I miss the days I wandered the thick brush
I miss wandering the rocky beach and smelling the sea salt brush against my nose with gushes of wind
I miss exploring magical areas, little forest kingdoms and villages.
I miss being in awe of tree growths intertwined into great art sculptures or how the big leaves of different bushes had geometric designs or the variety of rocks and the stories they tell or pictures carved into them
I miss wondering about the animals daily life habits or weird thoughts of how they perceive life
I miss having my children wander with me to experience the greatness and beauty of the earth.
I feel stuck in the monotony of "people" things and not having childlike fun and wander.
We used to build dams and homes, boats out of twigs, rocks, leaves and some toys.
The children pretended many different scenarios of dinosaur scapes, army or figures building homes, fighting, or just simply had a water fight or wanted to fish, or wanted to walk along the river.
The list goes on
And while they are growing in other ways within people setting, communal setting, school setting it just feels so restrictive

It's the last day of June but I have one more post in me for @jedijune but it's a little different. The goal of Jedi June is to appreciate the Jedi, but this time I'm appreciating them in a more meta sense.
I saw Attack of the Clones in 2002 as a wee lil preteen and as soon as I laid eyes on the Jedi, I instantly wanted to be one. I wanted a cool lightsaber and space adventures like many a kid, of course. But I was also hitting those awkward teenage years and all that comes with it and I had no words for it, but I knew I was experiencing it different than my peers. I only heard "gay/queer" as an insult or an opportunity to be bullied or even murdered. I wouldn't hear "asexual" until after college. But I knew that more than anything I wanted to imagine being a Jedi because then I would never have to get married. (Also: they had girls. My sister and I watched the AotC VHS over and over and over again and memorized every single frame that had Aayla and Shaak Ti and Bultar Swan and Luminara Unduli and Barriss Offee. Even though you had to be a thin, pretty girl, girls still got to be Jedi.)
And on top of all of that, I was supposed to be too old for toys but I still wanted to make stories. So I took my happy ass and my allowance money to Borders and bought this:
Tumblr media
This, here, is Baby's First Fanfiction and Fanart. I wouldn't fall in love with LotR until January 2003. So this is where I got my start as a writer and artist of characters. (I drew all the time since I could hold a pencil, but mostly dinosaurs and animals.) I loved writing and drawing before, but it was the Jedi that first catapulted me into what I've become as a fan artist and fanfic writer now.
So for fun I dug out Baby's First Jedi OCs and decided to draw them with twenty-one more years of art skills:
For a little background, 2002 Preteen Me had a Very Grand Plan of writing a novel, submitting it to Lucasfilm, and getting it published. It would be about Derran Kanis, My Most Wonderful Jedi OC and her life and her adventures, and the very last scene would be choosing her Padawan, whose final line would be "Yoda, my name is." (Preteen Me was confident that since we don't actually see Yoda in action this wouldn't break George Lucas' rule of not revealing Yoda's species or background. The focus would be all on My Wonderful Jedi OC anyway.)
A little Yoda is a lot easier to draw now after all the practice with Grogu! Should I call Favroni and tell them it was my idea first? XD
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I was obsessed with the Jedi Apprentice series most of all, so of course there had to be more characters for them to get into Shenanigans with for both generations.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Leronna was Derran's friend, a wise and serious Jedi Master. Derran was the Qui-Gon of the relationship and more of a risk-taker, while Leronna was more solemn to balance her out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Their other friend was Mukdon, because I thought a Hutt Jedi would be really cool and unique. To contrast Hutt stereotypes, he was rather un-confident and a worrywart.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Of course Yoda needed a friend to get into trouble with, so he had Leronna's Padawan Te-Mon Zeyon. Te-Mon was the serious and play it safe one to contrast Yoda being more reckless (I figured he couldn't be that wise and solemn yet but that cheerfully mischievous side had been there the whole time.) Now that I look at him, I think I accidentally designed a Light Side version of Kylo Ren's TFA outfit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Last of all my redraws was Tama Ci, a posthumous character and Leronna's first Padawan. Losing her to an illness made Leronna reluctant to take another Padawan and contributed to Te-Mon being more cautious, since he didn't want to risk himself and force his Master to face another loss. I don't remember for sure but I strongly suspect her design was influenced by Aayla Secura, since she's my sister's favorite Jedi and we often tracked down any content or merch of her together.
No I will not post any of the fanfiction... it's baaaaaad. It was written by a preteen and it shows. (No offense to any of you in that age range - just that as an adult, I've learned a lot more since then.) But like favorite dolls you take off the shelf and play with now and then, all these characters hold a special place in my heart. Derran, as my first and most dearest - the core of my first grand plan for a long fic - is very special to me and my oldest "active" OC, now existing as a character in SWTOR.
Tumblr media
The Jedi were escapism and a refuge for me as a kid, just like Din Djarin and his friends are for me now. So that's what I really appreciate most. That even as a preteen/teenager, in all those awkward years, I still had a place to mentally escape and pretend I was a badass space monk who never had to get married and could live in a cool building with a huge library.

Barosaurus and the Morrison Formation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I just finished all my final projects and graduated from my high school, meaning i finally have the time to start posting again! This was a project I made for my high school art class where i had to illustrate something into 4 quadrants, each quadrant being done with differing materials. I was originally considering doing my sophont species: the Xy'ktals. But decided to do something more paleoart related since it was outside of my comfort zone at the time. This project took me almost 2 months to make, I started working on it in late march and submitted it in late may. And almost half of it was spent researching the life of this formation and trying to accurately reconstruct it. I hope you all enjoy this art piece
My Statement
As an artist who loves the natural world, I became fascinated with the field of paleontology long before I discovered my love for the possibility of alien life. I was introduced to the field by the Jurassic Park film franchise and was thrilled by all the big monsters made to scare. I bought their toys, watched most of the movies, and enjoyed most of it.     Eventually I phased out of Jurassic park. Many years later, when I was into designing aliens, I found a youtuber who made me rethink how I designed alien life. Teaching me that the human body plan is far from universal and we would likely make first contact with something that looked more like a jellyfish or a worm than a human.     While browsing through their other videos I found out they did paleontology, and once again my eyes were open. To see what the natural world looked like before mankind came to be was amazing. Getting to see plants and animals beyond my wildest dreams, so different they might as well be considered aliens. Yet they felt familiar, they felt relatable. That is what made me fall in love with the field.
Nowadays I casually look into paleoart, looking into the depths of time and into the earliest ages of life as inspiration for my own alien worlds. While working on this assignment, I realized that not many people are up to date with the modern idea of the prehistoric. Most still think of them as scaly screaming scrawny slaughter machines. Some might even still think of them as the lumbering dim-witted kangaroo-like lizards of the 1800s to 1900s. With this work i intend to change that     My goal with this assignment wasn’t just to draw dinosaurs, but to show everyone just how amazing the prehistoric world was. But most importantly, these were animals at the end of the day, not movie monsters made to scare. They lived simple lives of joys and sorrows, felt love, played with each other, and found happiness in the small things. They were no different than the animals of the modern world.
Introduction
To showcase this, I drew the many species that lived in the Morrison formation of Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana. A basin of sedimentary rock dating to the Jurassic period 150 million years ago. Back then this place was a semi-arid environment, home to swamps, floodplains, and savannahs. But this place didn’t look like modern savannahs now.     For one, angiosperms such as flowers, leafed trees, and grass only evolved some 10 million years after all the dinosaurs went extinct. Meaning almost none of the familiar plants were present in the jurassic. Instead of our familiar faces, Conifers, Cycads, and Ginkgos took the role of trees, horsetails were a common sight, and Ferns took the niche of grass. In fact Ferns were so prevalent they became their own biome known as the Fern Prairies
The animals are also far different too. Unlike the depictions spurred on by Jurassic park, of big, gaunt, and mindlessly ravenous reptiles designed to kill. Through finely preserved fossils we now know most of them were covered in varying degrees of feathers. Some may have had simple hair-like feathers while others were almost birdlike in appearance, since birds actually evolved from dinosaurs.     Pretty much every dinosaur that didn’t have a beak had lips covering their teeth. Their hands would have faced each other rather than pointing downwards. Lastly we know that pretty much all of them were covered in enough fat and muscle to not have every detail of their bones poking out like a starved animal     The winged bird like-creatures named Pterosaurs too have changed a lot. We now know they were also covered in fur, and were possibly brightly colored too. their hands faced each other in the same way the dinosaurs did. Surprisingly they walked on the balls of their feet like us, and some were even postured like us too.
Barosaurus: the main star     The dinosaur that’s the focus of this piece is a young male Barosaurus as he stands near a conifer tree. Relaxing in the cool moist air brought on by the passing rain of a Cumulonimbus cloud     Barosaurus was an enormous species of herbivorous dinosaur that helped define the Morrison formation along with many other species. They were a part of the clade Sauropoda, a group of herbivorous dinosaurs renowned for their extremely long necks and equally long tails.     Barosaurus wasn't the longest or the strongest sauropod. but it was still impressive at a staggering 82-89 feet long. This behemoth was so huge their front arm alone was as big as a human. Most sauropods had a uniquely weird set of feet. The hind feet were round and had 3 toe claws that pointed outward. While the front feet were horseshoe shaped, with the fingers all fused together and an empty space at the center. Only the “thumb” has a claw while the rest of their fingers were bare, save for possibly a collection of jagged scales that aided in traction.     Like mentioned earlier, Barosaurus was an herbivore that specialized in high level browsing. They were also surprisingly flexible, the structure of their neck vertebrae gave them a wide range of motion, allowing them to eat tons of plant matter in wide sweeping motions without having to move an inch.
Despite their sheer size, the juggernauts of the Jurassic were still preyed on from time to time by Allosaurus and maybe Ceratosaurus. To counter this, the Barosaurus has a few weapons at its disposal, It could possibly rear up on its hind legs to make itself look even larger or even to stomp on incoming attackers. But its greatest weapon was its tail. It was thin and flexible, allowing the Barosaurus and its relatives to whip at their attackers with a thunderous crack, stunning the predators and possibly leaving long stinging cuts in them.     Speculated here, the Barosaurus was given a vibrant set of brown and black patterning as a way to distinguish themselves from other sauropods. They possess a large black dewlap to displace heat all in one area while the main body remains light in pigment and the head mostly white. Several Eye-like patterns run down the neck as a form of sexual display as they could potentially swing their neck around as a display of their flexibility to mates. The tail by contrast is a bright green as both a warning sign to predators and a way to communicate with other barosaurs. And long spines run from the head to the tip of the tail, making their whips even deadlier to any predator even considering going after them.
And now It's time to talk about all the other species that make this formation famous. Organized from left to right
Tile 1: Graphite pencil and Fine art pen     An Ophisthiamimus basks under the sun on a rock in the foreground. They were a 3 inch long reptile that specializes in insect feeding.     Despite its lizard-like appearance it was actually a Rhyncocephalian. A near extinct order of pseudo-beaked reptiles that dominated the early mesozoic, but were beaten back by tue lizards. The only surviving species of this clade is the Tuatara of New zealand
An old bull Brachiosaurus wanders across the drylands. They were a tall species of sauropod dinosaur that had a length of 57-72 feet long and weighed 28-47 metric tons. They were so big their forearms were as tall as an adult male. They Were herbivorous and browsed on high up plantlife such as the leaves of conifer, ginkgo, cycad, and tree fern leaves.     Speculated here, they could have had a large and flappy dewlap to displace heat. They may have also had several sets of inflatable neck sacs for sexual display since it was found internal air sacs ran down their neck and invaded their bones to reduce weight.
A small herd of very young Dryosaurs head towards the brachiosaurus for protection, in the same way a school of small fish orbit around a whale.     Dryosaurus was a species of small and nimble ornithiscian dinosaur that may have grown to be 7-9 feet long. They were Herbivores that fed on low lying plantlife, picking them out with their pointy beaks before chewing them with a set of cheek teeth.     So far no fossils of fully grown Dryosaurus have been found yet, so illustrated here instead are very young members of this species. Heavily Speculated here, they might've had a set of feathers turned quills on their tails and arms to stop larger predators from grappling on them. This feature was purely speculative and might've never existed on them.
A female Harpactognathus catches an unnamed early mammal from a hole in the ground. They were an extinct species of generalist pterosaurs that hunted small inland vertebrates and had a wingspan of 8.2 feet long. They were a part of the family Rhamphorynchidae, an early group of pterosaurs known for possessing toothy beaks and a long, thin tail.
Tile 2: Colored pencil and fine art pen     A young male Allosaurus tries to get with a female of the same species with his elaborate courtship dance. Flailing his arms, rhythmically stomping the ground and bowing his head to reveal the bright red crest, the female however is unimpressed.     Allosaurus was a species of 28-32 froot long theropod dinosaur that was one of 3 apex predators of the Morrison formation. They were discernible by the 2 pointy crests above their eyes. They specialized in hunting large prey such as stegosaurus and will sometimes come together in packs to even hunt sauropods such as Brachiosaurus and Barosaurus. They would've used their short but sharp teeth to slash into prey like a machete and used their short but muscular arms to hold onto their prey.     Speculated here, they could have sported black stripes and white splotches in an attempt at disrupting its outline and masking its eyes and ears. As well as having intricate mating dances that would've shown their flexibility and persistence.
A young female dryosaurus hides behind the Barosaurus' leg, waiting for the perfect opportunity to avoid the allosaurus and reunite with the herd.
A male harpactognathus takes off on the back of the Barosaurus. Speculated here, they could've had some sexual dimorphism like their azhdarchid cousins
2 Mesodactylus play around on top of the back of the Barosaurus/     They were a small species of pterosaurs that belonged to the family Anurognathidae, a group of small round and furry pterosaurs. They were estimated to be between 4-5 centimeters in length.     Sadly not much speculation went into them, other than a faint stripe on the underside of their wings, and the potential presence of play behavior. Something seen in all young mammals, some reptiles, fish, and even bees.
Tile 3: watercolor paint, a bit of acrylic paint, and a bit of Graphite pencil     A herd of Camptosaurs run towards a lake after a long odyssey across the muddy drylands     They were a species of medium sized Ornithopod dinosaurs that were 20 feet long and 6 feet tall. They were somewhat related to the previously mentioned Dryosaurus but are closely related to Iguanodon. One of the first dinosaurs ever discovered and named. They have 5 fingers on their front arm but only the front 3 end in claws     They were somewhat slow herbivores that may have lived in small herds, browsing on medium sized plants and competing with the many similar sized herbivores in the region.
A pair of male Gargoylesaurs rest under a conifer tree     Gargoylesaurus was a small species of armored herbivorous dinosaur ranging from 10-11 feet long but less than 3 feet tall. They are an early member of the family Nodosauridae in the Suborder Ankylosauria, meaning this dinosaur is related to the somewhat famous Ankylosaurus.     Not much was speculated here other than the presence of a blue stripe running down their face as a form of sexual display
A lone Cycad tree amongst the fern prairie
Tile 4: Digital art
A stegosaurus gets inspected by a young and curious Ceratosaurus
Stegosaurus was a medium sized herbivorous dinosaur that was 23 feet long and 10 feet tall at the back. They can be easily recognized by the large asymmetrical dorsal plates running down the neck, body, to the tail. As well as the presence of 4 tail spikes named the Thagomizer.     They were herbivores that fed on ferns, horsetails, and cycads with their uniquely crown shaped teeth. They could’ve possibly been carriers for Cycad seeds the same way elephants help disperse the seeds of savannah trees.     Speculated here, the dorsal plates and thagomizer are brightly colored orange as a threat display towards their predators such as Allosaurus and Ceratosaurus.
Ceratosaurus was the second of 3 apex predators of the morrison formation. They were a medium sized carnivorous theropod that ranged from 21-22 feet long and 5.2-6.5 feet tall. They are discernable by the 3 hump shaped crests on top of their head, their long and slender teeth, and the presence of osteoderms running down their body.     They shared the same habitat as Allosaurus, and could’ve possibly fed on similar prey such as stegosaurus, ornithopods, and possibly sauropods. Uniquely it has been suggested that Ceratosaurus could’ve fed on fish too as a way to avoid competition with Allosaurus     Not much has been speculated on their design other than a bright yellow face as a form of sexual display and horizontal stripes possibly as a form of motion dazzle camoflauge.
A Kepodactylus soars across the fern prairie with an unnamed reptile in its mouth.     Kepodactylus was a species of medium-sized pterosaur from the family Ctenochasmatidae, their distinct from other pterosaurs by possessing a crest akin to the later on azhdarchid pterosaurs while also having teeth akin to the Rhamphorhynchoid Pterosaurs. This species had a wingspan of 8.2 feet long     The illustration of them eating a reptile, along with the patterning is entirely speculative as there was very little information to go off of.
Another male Barosaurus observes the one in the middleground, wary on whether or not it could become a friend or foe.     Despite our conception of large herbivores being gentle giants, that idea couldn’t be further from the truth. Many cases in our modern world show large animals such as Goats, rams, boars, water buffalo, rhinoceroses, and even elephants will retaliate against their predators to devastating effects. Hippos of all animals are the absolute epitome of this truth, they are extremely territorial and frequently kill everything that comes too close. At least 500 people die from them every year. In some cases they will even kill baby hippos that they didn’t have a hand in creating, just to ensure their own bloodline succeeds above all others.     It was very possible that prehistoric life could’ve matched this aggression, if not exceeded it. With the barosaurus’ ability to rear up on its hind legs, It could’ve used this to clash with other barosaurs. Whether it be over territorial disputes, fighting for potential mates, or simple distrust.
A male stokesosaurus basks on a pile of rocks in the foreground, getting ready to fan out its neck plumage to cool off     Stokesosaurus was a 10-13 feet long theropod dinosaur that was apart of the clade Proceratosauridae and the superfamily Tyrannosauridea. Meaning this dinosaur was a somewhat distant relative to the world famous cretaceous era superpredator Tyrannosaurus rex     Speculated here, Their coat of feathers is a stark black to combat UV radiation, they possess a patch of neck plumage that could fan out to displace heat. With the streaks of white stripes helping break up its outline and cool down what could’ve been the heat sensitive parts of its body. They could’ve also had a white underbelly to form countershading     Fun fact: one of my friends has the same last name as the first part of this dinosaur's name, so as a tribute to our friendship I modeled the patterning and coloration of him. The neck plumage a tribute to his hair, and the coloration based off his clothing

Tsunene headcanons in a modern au?
I'm not quite sure what 'modern AU' entails, as the manga as it is is 'modern' (events now take place in 2015)..... I am going to assume you mean something like "non-supernatural AU" or "mundane circumstances AU"?
I reaaally like the idea of them getting to meet as younger kids hehe, I feel like they would be very compatible then, just blithe, easily amused, interested in weird stuff. Nene-chan is such an eccentric girl, I really think she'd intrigue both the boys ... but Amane is naturally more standoffish, while Tsukasa can capriciously greet whoever, la la la la. I really like Nene-chan and Tsu meeting at age 4 or something...
I like to doodle Nene-chan with the twins at any ages ... Nene-chan at any age is a bit immature and naive, so the agegap is not a hurdle.
some WIPs from meee of the boys n Nene can give you an idea...
Tumblr media
[meeting in a daycare situation where many ages of toddlers muddle together-- the boys doing art projects, Nene-chan making spooky scary ghoulish things, which Tsukasa would find interesting. Amane is a little freaked out.]
Tumblr media
[meeting outside in a park on a random snow day, making respective snowmen-- the boys make dinosaurs, Nene-chan makes a hideous ghoul]
I find it pretty cute that when Nene-chan meets young Amane, she is actually at first scary xD
Tumblr media
when I think about AUs, I kind of like to retain the way Nene-chan is kind of 'off-putting' to Amane at first haha, maybe too eccentric, weird, forward, or doing something strange...
Nene-chan. she's incredibly woefully bad at first impressions. Generally. Chronically so perhaps. This is her charm point! But you know who else is terrible at first impressions with most people??? TSUKASA!! lol! In this way, shouldn't Nene-chan and Tsukasa somehow work out when meeting-- two strange people?!
I find it kind of interesting that Nene-chan instantly grab-tackles Tsukasa when meeting HIM, but he's actually receptive to it ...?
The comparisons here are so interesting. Circumstances be damned, its just funny... [Tsukasa mindlessly hugging her back....]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
my husband has also imagined ... that, as Tsukasa is all touchy and friendly, and Amane more flustered, it could be very funny, how 'well' TsuNene seem to get along ...kind of effortless.
My husband has ALSO drawn some Nene x boys, with the situation that Nene-chan has met Tsukasa before, as children, LOL, and is more familiar with him (SHOCKING Amane, they know eachother??? A)
Tumblr media
TsuNene... I think.... in any situation, in all these situations, it develops very slowly ... their natures, it diffuses tension, but it also lacks romantic tension, as kids. Amane is more of a pervert and a player... with the desire to present himself as cool or act flirty ... but Tsukasa when alive, I don't know that he really had that. If I imagine no supernatural elements, I think TsuNene have an unquestioning friendship, where it's not occurring to either of them they could 'be more' or 'do something' ... its almost easy to forget Tsukasa is a boy. I think Tsukasa naturally crushes on Nene-chan, but unlike Amane, he doesn't know what to 'do' with a crush, so he continues to play and just gets quiet when she's especially pretty or being cute. I don't think Tsukasa fully understands his feelings for Amane, either....
I think Nene-chan falling for Amane first is actually kind of essential for any TsuNene... Amane forces himself at Nene-chan, he actually injects that romantic and sexual tension, lol, he MAKES her see him as a potential boyfriend, even IF he's not instantly 'her type', and younger. He acts cool and captivating. Tsutsu can show her his toys and be fun to play with... but Amane makes her see them, 'differently'.
In a mundane modern AU setting, I like it like....
-Nene and Tsu meet very young, have fun playtimes, like eachother, good play chemistry! -Nene inevitably meets Amane, who is weirder, and briefly, is a little overwhelmed by both Tsu and Nene's roiling energy, steamrolled by them, the older brother of ALL suddenly. -Amane and Tsukasa both form a crush, but Amane's crush causes him to act more weird, wanting to impress her, creating tension. -as always Amane's methods work on Nene, but there is a splash damage effect where, as Nene contemplates Amane's attractiveness, him being Tsu's twin forces her to suddenly see Tsu in a new light, as well. Nene more seriously dwells on these being... two boys. And she wonders if Tsu likes her, idly, or if it's just Amane... -I think once opening her eyes to Tsukasa, she'll accrue evidence that Tsukasa has a crush, suddenly see things she just overlooked before-- moments of flustering, quiet, gazing at her, etc....
I think of TsuNene always as... such a 'playground romance'. Tsukasa as it is ... he likes to draw Nene-chan, he has been depicted doign so multiple times. It is cute to think of him cluelessly fixating on her, wanting to play with her hair, trying to draw her better... I think Nene-chan would actually like the sincere attention, haha. It's such a cute little crush, the way it manifests....
Nene-chan is a vixen when she knows she's liked!! She WANTS to be seen as hot and admired! She WANTS to be impressive, seductive, girlie whirlie--!!
Tumblr media
... so once she knows both boys like her, and observes proof gradually, she'll be their nightmare ... yabai... ! I think Tsukasa would be incredibly easy to fluster given any effort, haha ... it's not a popular headcanon, but I really think he's misunderstood ... personally I think if Nene-chan pointed ANY!!!!! of this ^^^ energy at TSUKASA!!! he'd fall out of time . nonverbal .no mouth
Tumblr media
not know what happening.
... but I think that would be rewarding ^^ for Nene-chan ... unlike Amane, I think Tsu could earnestly call her pretty.
I don't know if that's really what you wanted to hear... but I hope it gives you an idea of TsuNene as I see it. Without the spooky yorishiro stuff and crazy shenanigans, I think it's very simple and cute ...
Kinda innocent. Ball in Nene-chan's court. Tsukasa naturally rather clueless about his romantic/sexual desires, given his life of only focusing on his brother. No protocol for crush on girl. Dunno what to do when flirted with. Chu.....?

⟩ any tattoos? nope. plenty of ideas, tho. problem is, with this kind of thing i'm indecisive as hell - and, get easily bored of looking at something/the same thing for a long time (my hair is proof of this, i recently chopped it all off). but anyway, been thinking of finally getting around some of those ideas i've had for over a decade.
⟩ any non-writing hobbies/interests? traditional art. i.e., sketching, drawing, yadda yadda yadda. i'm currently struggling with making the transition into digital art... i'd say music, too, but, i haven't touched my guitar in ages.
