Some advice to anyone finishing Baldur's Gate 3 and looking to maybe play the original 1 and 2.

You may see that you can be a beastmaster and have an animal companion. You might think "aw that's so cute! I'd love that for me."

Incorrect. That's the devil talking. To summon it, it takes health from your MC permanently. If it dies, you don't get that health back.

Don't worry though, you can summon it again.

At the cost of more health.

Permanently.

Don't listen to the devil.

Hey Mirko, can you imagine Four is Profily's dad?

Okay, so this is the first time I had to think properly for my response, so there it is (it's a bit detailed, but whatever)

I can see why you like to think that Four is Profily's dad - I can see it, because to be honest I rarely see Profily's content nowadays, but maybe it is because of the fact, that they're not really liked, unlike other BFB Post-Split contestants, but still they do have their own charm.

Though in original series, Profily appears to not be related to Four, in headcanons, which focus more on their character I do see you making them be related to Four - and that's interesting! I do like to see family headcanons, although I don't have it myself.

In my headcanons (or rather a big AU), Profily is Announcer's creation, which was created at the beginning of BFDI, around BFDI 2 to create someone, who would like him. And he created Profily, which had powers, which were something he didn't really predict to happen. Announcer's reason for Profily's creation is that he wanted to try to cure his social anxiety, so creating them could make him feel better. And Profily make Announcer feel way, way more confident than before - Announcer could normally lead the contest and not hide that much. Unfortunately, for Profily, they were "cursed" by him, as in like not being able to be contacted with others, which explains their flashbacks, where everyone ignores them, except for speaker boxes.

The curse was broken when Profily interacted by Four - it was the first instance for everyone to actually see Profily and see them. That's why they didn't know who Profily was or what they were doing there.

Though, Four gets killed by Lyr - one of my BFDI OCs (the cat that wowwzaaxei drew) after BFB ends, I do see them interacting with Profily and creating a bound, but not like father and son bound, more like friendly bound.

TD:LR: Though I don't have a headcanon that Four and Profily are related/are like a family, I love that headcanon!

So usually when an imaginary friend is a real thing in a story, it’s either a demon or a ghost or some supernatural boogeyman that probably wants to eat the kid they’ve befriended (Mama, a couple of the Paranormal Activity movies), or “imaginary friends” are just treated as a real thing in the setting, and if a child just thinks hard enough they can manifest a friend into existence (Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, Happy).

And somewhere in the middle is an area where the imaginary friend in question is real and they are supernatural, but they aren’t malevolent, and they aren’t entirely honest about what they are. Like maybe they’re a fairy or a god or some kind of boggle from mythology, but they just got caught by a six year old and they don’t have time to get into it, so they just go “…Yes. I’m your imaginary friend. We haven’t met. How do you do.” And then they stick around because they do love this kid, and if you’re a boggle from mythology in the modern day good food is really hard to come by.

And at some level. That’s what I think Hobbes is.

What is the point tho, is that people decide what autism is, that we are all the same, what empathy is and automatically assume we either don't have it or must be a bad person if our empathy level is not the same or what they think it should be.

So please, don't speak badly of people with low empathy or whatever level. Cause I say it again.
