I don’t know if anyone has asked this before, but the Lin Kuei trio with a reader who works as a military special forces operator? I don’t know but I’d like to think that on tactical terms the Lin Kuei and a military soldier can work pretty well together so I would definitely want to see how this will play out
When Worlds Collide - Lin Kuei x GN!spec-ops!reader (headcanons?)
in which past meets modern warfare
a/n: bro the fact you requested this and i'm getting into COD is INSANE THE TIMING IS AWESOME
ship[s]: none
warning(s): cod x mortal kombat?? ghost reference? soap ref? gaz & price reference??
You are a spec-ops soldier, working with the most elite soldiers in the world under the guidance of the American military. With the Outworld Investigations Agency opened, they're gonna need some manpower....
Introducing you and TF141, so perhaps this is a mk x cod fic??
- all three of the brothers would be very impressed with your records and awards. you are a decorated member, and the fact you are decently younger compared to your coworkers impresses them further
- Tomas asks you questions. lots of them. where you've been, what you've seen, the kills you have (it surprises you he knows the difference in the terms), he even asks others about you
- Bi Han wants to inspect every piece of modern equipment you have. he asks incredibly well-informed questions about the weapons, he even sketches ones that pique his interest the most so he can show his clan back at home
- Kuai Liang is the lucky brother who gets to hold and try the equipment. you and your team watch over him in the gun range as he shoots down practice targets with ease (ninja precision is crazy)
- Tomas and Soap might get along the best. he'd definitely be thrown off by how vulgar the team gets, but he and Soap are very friendly with one another
- Bi Han, Ghost, and Price. those two would be having a blast together talking about manly adult leadership stuff
- Kuai Liang might get along best with Gaz. Something about these level-headed men having a normal conversation in front of neanderthals is refreshing to you, snd you really appreciate that
- teamwork wise, not including the 141, they'd work pretty good with you. you're a great all around: sniper, foot-soldier, hand-to-hand, you know the drills for the shit they go through on the daily
- specifically, you and Kuai Liang would work together with a knowing silence. something like Price and Ghost since those two knew each other for so long. something about you and Kuai covering each other's asses without saying a word means you guys are in perfect sync. i can imagine it (can't you?)
- working with Bi Han is like Price and Soap, or Ghost and Soap. You definitely would try and liven up the mood as you off enemies left and right. Bi Han might actually scold you mid battle, too, expecially talking about distractions
- Tomas is Gaz, and working with him is like nothing but butter sliding smoothly on bread. Tomas is everything in a package: smart, skilled, quick-witted, and level-headed. Tomas knows when it's the right time to do things
- i think you and Bi Han would get into the worst spats and fights when discussing how to further push into battle. i'd say it gets physical, with you ordering him to stand down as the "professionals handle this"
- Kuai Liang and you could also get into some hefty drama and fights too. i think Kuai would actually apologize too, considering that maybe you might have seen more than him
- outside of the missions, everyone gets along well (maybe). when the three lin kuei bros are out drinking with you and your team, that shit is fire. Tomas probably gets drunk first, but that's after maybe five cups of hard ass liquor
- Kuai is next drunk, then Bi Han
- back to mission stuff, when you and the Lin Kuei trio aren't fighting, you guys agree on strategy rather easily. in fact, they like how you pull your strats. Bi Han takes mental notes to implement to the clan
- yeah, that's it
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
guys i want to write a COD fic soon, but idk who to start with. after my reqs though
also, school started for me, so writing may be coming slower
see yall in the next fic!
Have you ever wanted to make the TF2 guys drown in a pool? Or perhaps... kiss? Well, now you can! Here's a list of my TF2 Sims 4 custom content. Playtested, all LODs, all base game compatible. If you come across any problems let me know, but I don't think you should.
I made 3 items for Scout: his cap with headset, shirt with rolled up sleeves (comes in RED and BLU), and a necklace with 2 dogtags.
For Sniper I converted his hat, made a pair of sunglasses with a yellow tint, and added his facial scars. The scars can be found in skin detail, freckles. Also for Sniper I took a vanilla hairstyle and drew on his funky hairline.
Shown with Makesims' Hand Wraps
Here are 3 vests I made by combining and changing some vanilla vests. The one on the left is intended for Heavy, as it has t-shirt sleeves. The two on the right can work for either Demo or Sniper, as both have sleeves rolled up to their elbows. Both contain swatches with and without Demo's long undershirt sleeves. All vests come in BLU and RED.
Also shown here, on Demo and Heavy, are a pair of pants I converted from Strangerville's army career. See, normally when Sims 4 pants tuck into boots, the lower sections of the pants just disappear. But with these, because they include the shoes, the pants puff up over the top of the boots. There are 5 swatches: brown/grey, RED, BLU, and RED/BLU with gradient.
On Heavy and Sniper are black fingerless gloves. There is a swatch with gloves on both hands and a swatch with one glove (for Sniper).
Shown with Pralinesims' eye patch. Also, for Demo I used a white left eye from my Bad Batch CC for when he takes it off.
For Soldier and Engie I made these hats from scratch. Soldier's has two swatches to match his RED and BLU outfits. Engie also gets a pair of goggles.
I made Spy's mask by editing the ninja mask from the Spooky stuff pack and Pyro's by recoloring the inaccurate scuba mask from Island Living. It's not exactly a gas mask, but I really did not feel like making one from scratch and I'm not satisfied with any gas mask CC that already exists.
Pyro's mask also has a version with cat ears. For pary time, of course. Their shirt, while not exactly like Pyro's in-game shirt, has a similar silhouette which is why I chose it. There are white, RED, and BLU versions with and without the balloonicorn graphic.
I also made Pyro's gloves. The second swatch adds a black covering on the neck so that Pyro can wear many shirts without showing skin.
Here are the outfits for the rest of the characters.
Medic has a recolor of the Get to Work lab coat, RED and BLU, with and without gloves.
Spy has a recolor of the base game pinstripe suit in RED and BLU.
For Pyro, in addition to the shirt, I made another pair of pants with gradient, but this time they can go with taller boots. The boots do not come with my CC.
Engie has a recolor of the handyman overalls, in RED and BLU. I also made the gunslinger as a glove. There are two versions, with and without the bulky wrist part, so that it can still work with long sleeves and not clip.
Miss Pauling's dress has 3 swatches with different shades of purple. Please ignore the shading issues in this post's cover image; it has since been fixed but that pic was so hard to get I'm not retaking it.
I have added a few build/buy options. The 2Fort roofs (shown in the 2Fort images earlier) are a recolor of roofs from Werewolves. I also added the gym and meeting room walls from Expiration Date.
Mercenary Career!! Branches for all classes, plus branches for the Administrator and Miss Pauling. Script mods must be turned on and the files for this cannot be more than 1 folder deep in your mods folder.
All items can be found here on Sims File Share.
Recommended: Serenity's 1960s CC and Simduction's Dixie Hair for Ma 💖
My build of 2Fort and my sims can be found on my gallery, username Dadverinee.
DMC Devil May Cry Review From the Perspective of a New DMC Fan (Spoilers!)
First, a TL:DR of Devil May Cry as a series. Devil May Cry is a Capcom franchise that falls under the Hack-and-Slash category and the story follows Dante, the young son of Sparda, who hunts demons for a living in Redgrave. Ninja Theory, the same people who made Heavenly Sword made an attempt at a reboot with Capcom and the reboot game was hated by a lot of DMC fans.
But do I think it deserved the hate? No, not really, it’s not too bad of a game to me, and it has its flaws which I will get into. The rest of this review will further explain my opinions. Also, right off the bat, my personal renaming of “DMC Devil May Cry” is “Nephilim Rage,” Reboot Dante is “Damien” and Reboot Vergil is “Victor,” because this game could’ve benefitted from having its own separate IP rather than the Devil May Cry IP slapped onto it despite the characters, lore and storyline being incredibly different, but from Ninja Theory’s perspective, I can understand why they did what they did.
Storyline (1/5):
Starting with the weakest part of this game, the intro to “Nephilim Rage” has Damien going to a strip club and banging two strippers. Interesting start.
Then a girl named Kat knocks at Damien’s trailer door telling him he’s in danger. He then gets dragged into Limbo and we get the first few fights in the game.
Later on, Kat tries to convince Damien to help her and the Order save humanity, but Damien doesn’t care at all and tells her that he didn’t need or want her help, then he changes his mind when he sees a police cruiser drive by. Then inside the hideout of The Order, we meet my least favorite character in this game, Victor who is also helping with The Order.
Then Victor is the one to convince Damien via telling him that he is a Nephilim and that his past was hidden from him for a reason and Damien explores his childhood home via a Wiccan seal Kat spray painted down and that’s where he gets his first angel and demon weapons as well as two different grappling hooks that either pulls objects or enemies towards him or pulls him towards said objects or enemies.
After going through every single part of the house in Limbo and getting cool new weapons Damien remembers that Victor is his twin brother and apparently instead of Sparda being killed by Mundus, Mundus instead imprisoned him for life.
There is a drink in this game that gets destroyed called Virility, which Victor calls Lobotomy in a can, and the Order destroys it with Damien’s help by killing the second most disgusting boss in this game, Succubus. Don’t let the name fool you. Look it up on the wiki or on Google, trust me.
Mundus is getting more and more agitated by Damien, which is what they want because the key to defeating Mundus and overthrowing his rule over humanity is getting him angry.
In the middle of the story, Kat gets kidnapped by the S.W.A.T team while Damien and Victor are trapped in Limbo, unable to help her. Mundus holds her hostage and asks Victor to give him Damien in exchange for Kat in a video. Damien then gets the idea to kidnap Lilith, his mistress who also carries his child. He got this information after helping an elderly demon get his artificial eye back.
After a reverse erection fight with Lilith, Damien then offers Mundus Lilith and her child in exchange for Kat, which leads to Victor wielding a sniper rifle to shoot at anyone who tries anything funny, which is weird because the original Vergil hates using guns so seeing this was strange. As Kat walks towards Damien and Lilith walks towards the S.W.A.T team, Victor pulls the trigger, first killing Mundus’s child and Lilith.
Here is one important element for Mundus: he is only immortal with his access to the Hell Gate. If it’s sealed, he’ll be killed by normal means.
This of course frustrates Mundus and towards the end, he asks Damien, “why did you kill my child?” Then knowing what to do next, as a way of pissing off Mundus as a distraction so that Victor can seal off the gateway to Hell Damien brags about killing Lilith and his baby and says that it was “priceless.”
After almost getting his heart ripped out, Damien fights Mundus and after he saves Victor from him, his grasp, he kills him for good.
Cool ending right? Well… no. Because the worst part of this storyline made me hate this version of Vergil. And I’m not even talking about Vergil’s Downfall yet.
Victor then reveals that since Mundus is dead, he and Damien can now rule the humans. Much to both Kat and Damien’s shock. He then in a very condescending manner talks down to humans, right in front of Kat, the same human who literally took a bullet and a beating to help them and risked her life multiple times. He even says, she was “useful,” and I can’t think of a more douchey way of saying that he just used her for personal gain.
And because… this is an attempted reboot of Devil May Cry that didn’t do too well, it feels like this story felt obligated to have Damien and Victor fight just because a fight between two twin brothers builds drama, and that’s not all there is to it when it comes to Dante and Vergil’s rivalry. It’s only scratching the surface. Not to mention that Damien and Victor’s relationship went from loving brothers to Victor absolutely despising Damien for “being better than him.” A far cry from what Dante and Vergil’s relationship is actually like. Also, this takes place on the 20th and final mission. Which is why I say that this came out of nowhere and was forced.
TL:DR about the game’s story: Weak storyline with a badly executed twist at the very end.
Gameplay (4/5):
Gameplay is this game’s biggest strength. The combat is so much fun in this game, and yes, even in Vergil’s Downfall, which is the only redeeming quality of that DLC. But Damien is the most fun to use in this game because oh my god, I love his Angel weapons so much.
I especially love the angelic scythe even though it’s the very first Angel weapon you get.
I also love the grappling mechanic, with the demon grapple, you pull objects and enemies towards you, and with the angel grapple, you pull yourself towards the objects and enemies.
His demonic weapons are also cool, and I use those attacks sparingly when it comes to tougher enemies, just like what I do with heavy attacks in fighting games and in hack-and-slash games like this.
Now what are the downsides of the gameplay? Only the fact that you can’t manually aim for some reason. Even though Damien straight up uses guns, you literally can’t aim. You’re basically forced to auto-aim. Out of all games I’ve reviewed so far, this game is the most dependent on auto-aiming. I even looked through my options to see if I could turn off auto-aim to a more manual aim, but to my disappointment there was no way to turn it off. Which is why I always dreaded having to fight off tough enemies on the ground and then dealing with annoying flying enemies setting up traps to smack you and interrupt your combo. Could be a skill issue on my part, but either way, it shouldn’t take making a definitive edition to put in a feature that should’ve been in the game to begin with in my opinion.
Other than that, I let the forced auto-aiming slide for now because the gameplay and how different Damien and Victor are in terms of how they play makes up for it.
Characters (2.5/5):
This section I’m the most mixed on. On one hand I’m glad Damien isn’t 100% an asshole the entire time. On the other however, he ain’t Dante. Hence why I named him Damien because he is completely different from Dante. It’s insane to me that the most hated video game character in video game history has the best character development in this game. In fact, dare I say, he benefitted the most from the bad writing.
Damien starts out being a typical asshole anti-hero protagonist and shows off his anti-social and deviant personality, until he meets Kat, who I will get to in a second. He goes from, “I don’t need your help, I didn’t ask for your help,” to, “I only met Kat for a day and a half, and if anything happened to her, I would kill everyone in this room and then myself.” Actually, Damien reminds me of Jake Muller kind of. Hear me out. Jake Muller is also another character who starts out a selfish asshole, but then becomes a jerk with a heart of gold when he meets Sherry. Resident Evil 6 aside, Damien is also shown caring about his brother Victor. He does tease him but it’s in a more typical older brother way. And yeah, Damien is the older twin of the two in this universe. He used to not care about humanity, but after Mundus was defeated and Victor attempted to rule humanity with an iron fist, he made the decision to protect humanity from guys like Victor. Also, in my opinion Damien is the most overhated character in video games. Yes, the cliches and typical tropes are there, but he’s not the worst character in this game specifically. That would be Victor.
Again, if he was named differently, he wouldn’t have so much hate. I mean he would still get hate because of the usual cliches, but it wouldn’t be as bad as it was when this reboot was fresh in 2013.
Kat didn’t really change too much character wise in this story, but I do like how she was written nonetheless. I love how even though she’s not a combatant like Damien or Victor, she’s still hyper competent. I’m talking planning things out, using old Wiccan recipes for seals, guiding Damien through Limbo and the fact that she has helped The Order several times.
The same cannot be said about Victor. So, where do I even begin with this guy? First of all, he is a FAR cry from what Vergil is supposed to be as a villain. Vergil is a complex antagonist who was blinded by his trauma of losing his mother, being victimized by Mundus and being imprisoned as Nelo Angelo and nearly dying and being obsessed with gaining more power. He despised being a victim and not being in control of himself hence why he sought more of that power. Granted, his actions are depicted as him being well reckless and being just as impulsive as his twin brother, and rightfully he’s labeled as an antagonist and villain. I mean, when he was introduced as himself pre-Nelo Angelo, right off the bat, we knew he wasn’t even a hero, like not even close.
Victor on the other hand only did the things he did in the game because he wanted to rule over the humans because he thought of them as helpless little children. Alright, you fedora wearing, r/niceguy lookin’ inferior complex dude, why would I trust someone like you to “protect” humanity? Keep in mind too that Victor before Mission 20 was being heroic up until that point and him becoming a villain basically ruined all of that. He gets so much worse in Vergil’s Downfall somehow. He just keeps getting more and more evil and for what? Because he thinks that Damien is better than him. Because he thinks Eva loved Damien more than him. And finally, because he is just yet another one-dimensional villain that is lusting after power and he leads an army of demons to try to take over humanity. But more on Vergil’s Downfall in a different post. Victor is the worst version of Vergil I’ve seen so far. Hence why Victor is renamed Victor by me. At least his design looks nice.
As for Mundus, another typical one-dimensional power hungry villain.
Lilith is also just Mundus’s mistress with an ego bigger than Mount Everest.
All of the villains are generic evil characters, with Succubus acting as literal toxic chemicals to harm people and literally and figuratively spewing toxic stuff at Damien and whoever that reporter demon guy was being a meta type of villain, which is obviously taking a jab at attention seeking news channels and news websites that also lie and stretch the truth.
Graphics (4.5/5):
The graphics of the game aged well, but then again, Ninja Theory did a solid job on their good looking and ugly character designs and translating them well in renders. For Vergil’s Downfall, for the cutscenes, a 2D animation plays to depict the dark story of Victor falling further and further down into madness, which I do like seeing and that is the ONLY element I loved about Vergil’s Downfall.
Capcom also had a hand in this an as usual their graphics back in the 2010’s also looked pretty nice.
Voice Acting (4.5/5):
Solid voice acting. Especially since with how the story and dialogue is written, the voice actors made it work. Bad voice acting and bad vocal direction would’ve made the execution of the story and character writing even worse.
I think the best voice actors would have to be Damien’s voice actor, Victor’s, Mundus’s, Lilith’s, and Kat’s. Also, if someone knows about a mod where you use the DMC Devil May Cry style announcer for Devil May Cry 5, let me know because I also enjoyed hearing the “SAVAGE!,” and “SADISTIC!!,” lines so much whenever I got an S or SS rank.
Did this game deserve the hate it got?:
In my opinion, the game has its flaws, obviously, the story is the weakest part of DMC Devil May Cry. I am also going to be one of many people that will say this this again and again: if this game had its own IP, like what I nicknamed it, “Nephilim Rage,” and renaming Reboot Dante and Reboot Vergil into Damien and Victor, with a lot of tweaks to the storyline, this would’ve been a good game and fans would’ve viewed it differently.
Otherwise, no. Despite how much I hated Victor and like I said three times at this point, the weak story, I think this game is okay. It’s not terrible. This is already long enough, so I’m not going to rant about it here, because the DLC will have its own separate review.
Score: 16.5 out of 20. The story was the weakest part of the game and I don’t care about (in Victor’s case, he’s a character I despise) the characters except for Damien and Kat. The gameplay and voice acting made up for the flawed writing.
But you want to know one element I outright loved about DMC Devil May Cry? The soundtrack. Could be the casual metal listener in me saying this, but I love the soundtrack and I think I’m gonna get more into Combichrist. The metal music in the game fits the edgy tone the game was attempting to go for and it works.
Also, Damien is the most overhated character in video games in my opinion. Again, yeah, he ain’t Dante, but with a simple name change that I did, he now has his own identity separate from Dante. All I gotta do is just rename his weapons, lol.
That aside, TL:DR… DMC Devil May Cry May have a badly written story with equally badly written characters, at least the game is fun to play with the usual flashy combos courtesy of Ninja Theory and Capcom and has a sick soundtrack.
I LOVE your art! Let me ask you something about your oc, Ren. Because she’s the youngest, is she treated like such? Like is she babies around a little bit like Mikey? Are they slightly more overprotective, or does she have the kind of personality where there brothers are confident she can care for herself because of the vibes she gives off? I was just wondering since a lot of sister ocs work a little differently!
Also, how do you think they would react to her having a cold? Last time I had a cold my cousin who is my brother figure was like, “good for you.” Lol. Is it the same way for Ren? Let me know!
❤️❤️🐢
Thank you for the questions!
Renaissance is definitely treated as the baby of the group. She had a lot of self confidence issues and anxiety, and is very shy meeting new people. (She's based off of a younger version of me, so apologies if she sounds a little Mary-Sue-y). Her brothers recognize this and are very gentle with her. She's basically an opposite of Mikey's youngest-brother-syndrome, and he's the one who tries to help her become more independent the most.
She's not very confrontational, but loves to help her brothers out, and can fight if she has to, usually acting as the support and sniper with her bow-gun. She attacks efficiently and quickly. She's also the quickest to learn ninja stuff, mostly because she is already accustomed to hiding and keeping quiet, especially compared to her loud and outgoing brothers. Plus she wants to make Splinter and the others proud.
Also, I forgot, but when Renaissance is sick, her brothers give her a hot salt water bath, since she's a green sea turtle and feels better in warm water.
Combining Liquidity and Volatility Analysis for EURUSD Success: Little-Known Secrets Ever wondered how the big players always seem to get it right? The answer lies somewhere between liquidity and volatility — two mystical forces that can make or break your EURUSD trading game. In today's exploration, we'll dive deep into these secretive elements and discuss how to leverage them to your advantage. So, grab your snorkel; it's time for a deep dive! (Warning: There may be some humor lurking beneath the surface.) The Mystery of Liquidity: Why Traders Get Stuck in the "Quicksand" Imagine trading in a swimming pool versus a bathtub. Liquidity is like the size of the water body you're trading in — bigger pools make it easier to swim without hitting the edges. When liquidity is high, the market can absorb large trades without much price fluctuation. When liquidity is low, however, things get ‘quicksand-ish’ fast. You place a large order, and BAM — you're stuck in slippage city, population: you. For the EURUSD, liquidity is usually high, but there are those moments when everyone just walks off for a coffee (looking at you, lunch hours). Understanding liquidity patterns helps you avoid getting stuck in market quicksand. Trust me, nobody wants to be the trader who finds out their "strategic buy" during a quiet spell just turned into an accidental loss. Volatility: The Crazy Party Friend You Need to Understand If liquidity is the calm pool, volatility is your wild friend who loves to cannonball into it. Volatility in the EURUSD can either be your worst enemy or your best ally. It's like deciding to ride a rollercoaster blindfolded — thrilling if you know what you're doing, but terrifying if you don't. Volatility tells you how much a currency pair moves over a given time. The higher the volatility, the larger the swings — and the more opportunities for profit, or, well... for regret. Combining liquidity analysis with volatility lets you figure out when the market’s poised for explosive moves that you can actually ride without getting crushed by wild price whipsaws. The "Hidden Sweet Spot" — Liquidity Meets Volatility Here’s where we uncover the real gold. Many traders look at either liquidity or volatility, but few understand that their intersection can be the ultimate game-changer. It’s like peanut butter and chocolate — good on their own, but absolutely unbeatable when combined. (Unless you're allergic, in which case, think of a different combination!) The sweet spot happens when liquidity is just enough to allow large orders without slippage, but there’s also enough volatility to offer significant movement. Think of the overlap between the European and U.S. trading sessions. Liquidity is high, and the market starts jumping like it's had one too many espressos. Understanding when this magical convergence happens can mean the difference between watching paint dry and cashing in on big moves. Ninja Tactics for EURUSD: Surfing the Liquidity Waves “Surf the waves, don’t fight the ocean.” — Some philosopher, probably. The same principle applies here. One of the most underutilized strategies in Forex is the use of liquidity zones in combination with volatility surges to create sniper-like entry points. Imagine placing your trade right before a liquidity-driven breakout — you’re ahead of the market, not reacting to it. To do this, you need to track when institutional traders (you know, the big fish) are piling in or out. Use tools like the Commitment of Traders (COT) report to gauge market sentiment and liquidity accumulation. Combine this with volatility indicators like the Average True Range (ATR) to get a heads-up on when the cannonballs are about to hit the pool. Contrarian Insights: Why Most Traders Get It Wrong Most traders follow the herd, and guess what? The herd’s often wrong. A lot of traders react to high volatility by either jumping in without thought (mistake #1) or stepping back in fear (mistake #2). The truth is, if you understand liquidity, you can plan your entries and exits so that you’re not acting on emotion, but on cold, hard logic. For instance, during major news releases (you know, the kind that gets financial journalists frothing at the mouth), there’s a burst of volatility. But if liquidity is thin, those price jumps can be disastrous for unplanned trades. Pro tip? Wait until the dust settles. Let the amateurs blow their accounts during the initial spikes and look for liquidity zones that emerge once the market begins to digest the information rationally. Case Study: Liquidity-Driven Opportunities Post FOMC Release Let’s talk specifics. Take the recent Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) statement — the initial announcement was followed by a massive EURUSD spike. But if you looked closer, liquidity was thin, and many traders got wiped out by stop-hunting algorithms. Those who knew how to combine liquidity and volatility waited — they let the storm pass and entered when liquidity returned and the market stabilized. Moral of the story? High volatility events are exciting but wait for liquidity to catch up. Trading without considering liquidity during such times is like running across a busy highway blindfolded. Sure, you might make it, but do you really want to try? Advanced Tips: How to Turn Liquidity Pockets into Profit Opportunities - Monitor Liquidity Providers: Track when liquidity providers are active in the market. The European and U.S. overlap is a great time for this. Think of it as a prime-time trading session. - Identify Volatility Clusters: Use ATR to locate periods of higher-than-usual volatility. These clusters often indicate that institutional players are preparing to make a move. Combine this with your liquidity analysis to find entry points where the risk-reward ratio is in your favor. - Fakeouts vs. Breakouts: When liquidity is low, the market loves fakeouts — those moves that make everyone think a breakout is happening, only to reverse. When you combine liquidity analysis, you can better judge whether there’s enough fuel (liquidity) behind a move or if it’s just a mirage. Combining Tools for a Smarter Approach To make this all actionable, here’s a cheat code: Use tools like the Market Depth indicator to gauge liquidity and pair it with Bollinger Bands for volatility. It’s like having X-ray vision on the market. You can see where the money’s piling up and if the market’s about to explode in one direction. Remember, we want to be the surfers riding the wave — not the swimmers getting knocked down by it. Conclusion: Liquidity + Volatility = EURUSD Mastery So there you have it, the not-so-secret-anymore sauce to trading EURUSD like a pro. Most traders ignore these critical elements and get caught off guard. You, on the other hand, now know how to identify when liquidity and volatility are in the perfect balance to give you a strategic edge. Remember, it’s all about timing — combining these two factors can turn your trades from risky rollercoaster rides into well-planned, strategic moves. Feeling ready to take on the EURUSD? Keep an eye on the liquidity flows, stay aware of volatility, and remember — humor might not make you money, but it sure makes losing more fun. Good luck out there, traders! —————– Image Credits: Cover image at the top is AI-generated Read the full article
“Something...exciting?” Zen asked not sure what Hiruko means but only sees the other two wondering about that themselves. He saw the other two nodding in agreement to this now curious.
“Favorite colors? My favorite color is dark green.” Hex said.
“Mine is a Navy blue.” Hisashi said.
“Mine is river blue but what do you mean never wore one?” zen said.
💙Meet Vincent Hamato💚
I’ve mention this a few times in the past but I think it’s time I finally introduce the concept of a 5th RaMona kid, meet Vincent Hamato!
Named after the artist Vincent Van Gogh, Vincent is the sniper of the family, and inherits more of Mona‘s military aesthetic then following his families ninja traditions. His weapon and personality was inspired by Star Lord from Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
He’s the youngest (and last) child in the family but he can be very mature for his age (he gets that from his mother), but he can also be very impressionable and willing to follow with the crowd, especially when it comes to his older siblings, but he desires to one day be his own person, follow his own rules, and travel the galaxy as an intergalactic vigilante.
And yes, Frida is NOT happy that she’s no longer the baby of the family.
TWD 11x09 “No Other Way” Review
And so once again, our ship is saved thanks to…CONTEXT! I’m going to get into the specifics of the *dreaded* reunion further down, but I just wanted to say up top that if you were concerned it would tread too closely to familiar territory, don’t be. Terminus it is not, my friends. Not at all. As it turns out though, there is a lot more ground to cover in this episode than that ten second shot, including a very subtle Caryl moment that I caught, so here we go.
The reviewers weren’t wrong about the amount of action. There’s a lot of fast-paced intercutting between Reaper and walker battling and it’s almost dizzying. The gore and the suspense were definitely overhyped (like certain other things). To me, the scenes played out like a live-action comic book, cheesy dialogue and convenient time cuts included. Not my cup of tea, but that’s okay. I’m in it for the characters anyway.
As we already know, Daryl will seize any opportunity he can to try to save someone to the detriment of his own self worth if he fails, but right off the bat, he seems to be coming around to the idea that Leah is a losing battle. When he suggests using Carver as a bargaining chip (how did ninja Carver lose that fight?), Maggie even asks him if he’s “doing this for her,” and he says, sounding sincere, that he’s doing it for their family because it’s the only way they get out alive. Unlike Maggie or Leah, Daryl has reached an understanding that survival doesn’t always have to mean killing each other and offers Leah and the three or four other Reapers still breathing (the rest either got blown up or stabbed to death in very comical ways) the chance to head north and to never be seen again. Leah’s not budging, still maintaining that “whatever it takes” attitude and orders a sniper to kill Maggie and co, but the episode’s MVP, Gabriel, turns the tables on her when he kills the sniper and threatens to shoot the remaining Reapers.
Both groups renegotiate with the intention of letting each other go their separate ways. A very injured Elijah doesn’t like this because he wants revenge on Carver, who is in fact the one who killed his sister. Maggie doesn’t like this either, unable to forget what the Reapers had taken away from her, so she shoots them all down while the entire time, Negan remains a casual observer to a hilarious degree. The only one who survives is Leah, and Daryl basically sentences her to a life of solitude, telling her she could’ve had a second chance. The sentiment is very close to what he’s said to Carol multiple times about starting over, and there’s a juxtaposition to be made between Leah's refusal to do so and Carol’s increasing determination to do so, which Daryl is bound to pick up on if he hasn’t already.
I know many were eager for Leah to just be killed off, the sooner the better. Personally, I’m of two minds. On one hand, I think it’s laughable that Kang rarely kills off characters even when the number of characters to service continues to rise. A highly controversial character like Leah should theoretically lead to major payoff, but so far she (and the entire Reaper arc in general) have mostly just fallen flat and as it stands, I’m wary of how much she can contribute to the story moving forward aside from seeking vengeance for her family. Pause. Let’s take a beat to digest that. Who else nearly lost themselves trying to get revenge on someone who took their family away? These juxtapositions are juicy as hell to me, but are they worth the limited screen time at this point? That’s the question.
Now the reason I’m not mad about Leah being alive is that as long as she is, there is still a chance to make up for what’s missing. It’s no secret that I want Leah to meet Carol. They both share a strong connection to Daryl, which is reason enough for them to cross paths at some point, but the similarities (and differences) highlighted between them present an opportunity for them to learn a lot about themselves, much like looking in a mirror. That is my humble opinion on the matter. That will always be my opinion. I’m fully aware of the likelihood that they’re going to shift focus to a Maggie and Leah rivalry instead, which as I’ve said before is far less interesting given their lack of personal history.
Maggie has a really powerful scene in the church where she finds Alden’s walker and breaks down crying, but other than that I find myself frustrated with the direction of her character and that’s really hard for me to say because I do love Maggie. I’ve always been and always will be Team Maggie when it comes to the conflict between her and Negan, which has unfortunately been wishy washy the whole season. Not that I think there was ever a chance for much resolution between them, but for Negan to just end up exiling himself, landing in the same position as we saw him in the bonus episodes, I’m just struggling to see the point of it all. What have we gained from it? What have we gained from watching Maggie carry out her vendetta against the Reapers? I understand the show is trying to do right by Lauren Cohan and wrap up what is presumably her last arc in a big way. I understand that means Maggie has to be a big presence. What I don’t understand is why Kang and co want to resort to making her ruthless/reckless, especially after seeing it backfire so hard with Carol, Michonne, and Daryl to a lesser degree (because men’s actions are easier to forgive I say sarcastically). What I also don’t understand is why supersizing Maggie’s role has to mean minimizing Carol’s.
My biggest criticism of this episode and the whole season so far is that Carol has barely had any significant screen time. She had a few lines to Aaron during the rain storm, but nothing memorable whatsoever. I don’t need her to be the badass hero every time. I’d gladly take a good heart-to-heart if it means helping her move past certain emotional obstacles. A conversation between her and Connie about what happened in the cave is the first thing that comes to mind. To clarify, I’m happy other characters are getting their time to shine. I’m happy to see Connie and Kelly tell each other to stay safe to showcase their unbreakable bond, I’m happy Judith gets to have her own adventure without being in the shadow of one of the adults, I’m happy Aaron gets to be super dad, rescue Judith and Gracie, and tell Lydia that he would do the same for her. But if Daryl’s not taking a back seat until he rides off into the sunset, neither should Carol. I want to sit in her perspective while she’s supposedly experiencing personal growth the same way we get to with Daryl.
After all the action winds down, Daryl confides in Gabriel that he’s been wondering if choices even matter and Gabriel, who’s own struggles are depicted through the Reaper priest acting as his mirror image, advises Daryl to just have faith. I think this represents a small turning point for Daryl, who has always carried the weight of the world on his shoulders and is now realizing that not everything is in his control. There was never anything he could do for Leah, and that’s okay because life has given him something much better.
It’s curious that right off a shot of Daryl by the fire, we transition to Carol who is peering over Alexandria’s walls, just staring off into the distance. I can’t help but wonder if this is hinting she might be thinking about Daryl, just as he may have been thinking about her. Obviously she has good Daryl radar because moments later, there he appears with Dog, the others following behind him with a cart full of food.
Daryl immediately seems really happy to be back in Alexandria and I think it’s worth noting that Judith, RJ, Lydia, and Carol are the first wave of people to greet him, representing the family he’s been blessed with due to circumstances outside of his control. Yes, his hug with Carol feels brief and undercuts where they started at the beginning of the season, but I think this could be because Daryl is heeding Gabriel’s advice, having faith that he and Carol are strong enough to get through anything together. Of course I would have liked to see more after waiting patiently all this time, but I don’t believe Angela Kang is neglecting Caryl necessarily. She tends to place emotional conversations where they count the most and she may have thought placing one here, since it’s too early for canon, would retread what we saw in 10x16. Do I think it’s absurd that their emotional breakthroughs with each other can’t be interspersed or built upon? Do I think Kang is overestimating the power of silent communication? Yes and yes. I absolutely do. Don’t get me wrong. The only point I’m trying to make is that just because the gratification doesn’t come here, doesn’t mean it’ll never come.
Meanwhile, the Daryl and Connie reunion feels like a more timely emotional beat to hit because it’s probably going to launch Daryl and Carol (yes, Caryl) into their next phase of conflict i.e. Carol assuming Daryl would be better off with Connie romantically. As for the tone of it, the same score playing over the simultaneous family reunions continues here, emphasizing joy and relief on top of the joy and relief Daryl is already charged with. The “run” is more of a short hop/skip, there’s no nuzzling, there’s no lifting anyone off their feet. It reads very platonic to me, especially Connie’s bro punch to Daryl’s chest.
The camera does pan over to Carol who is smiling, observing Daryl’s happiness from the sidelines. Not a literal POV shot, but the intent is still to give us Carol's POV, which I think is twofold. For one thing, it shows that Carol no longer has to carry the burden of potentially killing someone’s sister and friend. Better yet, it reinforces that anything between Daryl and Connie she may later claim to be romantic is a product of her own imagination. From an outsider’s perspective, it looks completely innocent. No other character beside Carol is even watching. Not even Dog, who is busy eating an apple.
Some will undoubtedly interpret Carol’s smile as an absence of jealousy and therefore a lack of romantic feelings for Daryl, but here’s the thing. Carol’s love for Daryl – yes that love – is so strong, she is compelled to place his happiness above all else. Just like Daryl had done when she told him she was marrying Ezekiel. But unlike Daryl who felt “saudade,” Carol doesn’t feel like she’s suffering a personal loss because she’s convinced herself Daryl has never been nor ever can be hers to lose (in that way). Part of Carol’s journey is finding her worth again, and in many ways she is starting to do so on her own, but when it comes to Daryl specifically, I think he himself will have to set her straight, and I think it’s going to come as a big shock to Carol (and the audience!!) while she’s still expecting him to move forward with Connie. I have a lot more to say about that, about Carol’s headspace, and how it all ties into hers and Daryl’s story at the Commonwealth, but it’s probably best to save it for episode 10 (assuming it still makes sense after I see the episode). One last thing to mention is that while Eugene and Lance are doing their spiel, we see Dog sitting close to Carol, and in my head, it’s because he missed her most of all.
Overall, I found this episode to be particularly anticlimactic and am curious to see how things shake out at the Commonwealth. We are indeed getting a Caryl scene per the episode trailer so there’s that. I’ll admit, I’m a little nervous to be confined to this new environment because of how starkly different it is from the ZA world I fell in love with, but we’ll see. We got a glimpse of Daryl’s and Maggie’s opposing philosophies while dealing with the Reapers and it seems they are the two close friends who are going to be facing off with each other (while Daryl proceeds to look silly in his armor). To sum up my feelings about this possible conflict…meh. I’m assuming it’s probably not what it looks like. Also, it just further positions Daryl and Maggie as the two biggest protagonists, which irks me.
Welp. We weathered the first storm, babes. Seven more to go. (Wow I’m pretty sure watching my favorite show is not supposed to feel like this.)
Horaaa! Donbura Don! Taro Tuesday is winding down. Kinda like a rager continuing well into the night after everybody should've gone home. I would've done this yesterday or earlier today, but y'know how it is, right?
Anyways, Tarou gets adopted this episode, I think. Spoilers, I guess...
-Dragon Jirou and Tiger Jirou. His two fursonas are constantly fighting for control in his mind.
-Koichiro?
-Like, Koichiro Iketani, leader of the Akita Speed Stars!?
-...good taste, ma'am.
-Eeeeeeeel!
-Ah, the Shirokuma Boys are still kickin', I see. See, why can't you fellas be as supportive as Jirou's village, huh?
-"...oh fuck, he's in another one of his situations, huh?"
-"Roll with it, free eel."
-Bit harsh, huh Haruka?
-Ahhhhh, Murasame-kun! Yeah, I miss him too, how is he doin'?
-Ah, Tsuyoshi's an iced coffee guy. Based.
-Tomoko Higashi.
-Haruka, you're not being particularly helpful.
-Ohhhh, Shinichi knows her, huh? What kinda advice did you give her, eh? 'Imagine your son being right there?'
-Gotta learn some piano, right?
-I'd pay good money to see Shinichi as a guest on Real Time Fandub, he seems like he's got the chops for it.
-I wonder... if Tarou's lying with his body instead of his words, does that perhaps imply that he's breaking out into hives under his clothing?
-Man, this is a whole other level of awkward.
-Don't question why Koichirou-kun suddenly has a case of Sonic Adventure mouth, he just came home from Station Square.
-"Ohhhhhhh, I think I'm suffering internal bleeding."
-"My final rating for this shougayaki... is a Twenty-times ten..."
-Oooooh, butterfish...
-"This is that quarry in Ibaraki where they film those
-"This is that rock quarry in Ibaragi they use to film those tokusatsu shows, isn't it? Awesome! I can't believe I'm here! This is where they filmed Series/KamenRiderZiO, you know?!"
-"Shut up, you fool!"
-"Oh, okay."
-P
-Puberty
-Shinichi, I believe Tarou's a bit past puberty at this point.
-"I can't play piano."
-OH DON KAITO JUST HAD THAT THING BACK THERE HUH
-...I'm trying to think back to, like, the Colorful set, and I'm trying to picture what this room replaced. I realize there's likely no Yatsude who'd sleep here, but
-Wow... yeah, that's a nice little rendition. ...I wonder though, is it diegetic?
-Ohhhh... Don Kaito... I wonder... has something perhaps happened to this world's Yatsude?
-Oh shit, a ninja! Wait... We've had the Shuriken-ki in a previous episode, and I believe Ninpuu-Ki shows up in the movie, therefore... :O
-KAKURANGER NINJA NINJA!
-Yeah, so, Kakuranger's one of my top 10 favorite Sentai, so obviously this means Inoue is pandering to me in specific to make up for that scene from last episode where Tsubasa enjoys dog food. ...or perhaps to punish me even more, who's to say?
-I imagine we'll get to meet
-Speak of the devil, here comes Tsubasa with the save!
-Right, so that guy's obviously Koichirou.
-Ehhhh, idk Tomoko-san, he seems kinda naked without a bright red tie on him. I mean, you gotta go all the way, right?
-"This drip is scored at 14.1421356 squared. ...plus 0.000001."
-Dial it back, monkey man.
-Oh.
-Oh no.
-Not gonna lie, I kinda need moment.
-"That's cringe, boy!"
-"YOU'RE cringe!"
-See, it's not enough to just to lie on its own, you have to support that lie.
-See, Tsuyoshi seems to be better at this.
-DUDE YOU DON'T HAVE TO YELL SO MUCH
-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
-TSUYOSHIIIII
-Oh God, do I even wanna finish? I'm getting so much secondhand embarassment hjkk;lhk
-"YOU GOT MARRIED AT 21!? ...with that cringe-ass wabisabi? I didn't realize you lived in the 1950s!"
-...is Tsuyoshi venting about his own mother right now?
-Oh my God, he is.
-Haruka, you're up! ...I think I'm having a headache right now lhjkh
-.
-Okay, I think my headache has evolved into a full on headshot from a sniper rifle.
-CRAP
-"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY SON, YOU BITCH!?"
-"A reason... to live..."
-Ohhhhhh :(
-"FUCK YOUUUUUU"
-"I'M GOING APESHIT"
-"...what the hell is wrong with you guys?"
-Oh hey, Tiger Jirou's here.
-Don Torabolt!
-"Move it, puny ape!"
-Damn, Dragon Jirou's fighting it.
-Robotaro!
-Man, Shinichi's about to blow a vessel.
-Our boy(s) Jirou, pulling his/their weight...
-Well, at least they're working together effectively.
-...to an extent.
-Idk if I've said it, but the music used for Toradorajin is super cool.
-Big Ninja!
-Oh, they can just... detach from each other.
-Man, the inevitable team up is gonna be fantastic.
-"Momoi Tarou, the mailman."
-Tomoko-san...
-Again with the Nocturne...
-It's one of my favorite Chopin pieces, so I'm not complaining.
-That was one of the preview shots from last week, right?
-...man, there's not a lot of similarity between Koichirou and Tarou, huh?
-NOOOOOO TSUYOSHI GOT FIRED
-FUCK
-I'm about to go Hitotsu-ki.
-...Hikonin-Ki, maybe?
-Ah well, whatever. I think I'm gonna go lie down and listen to Chopin's Nocturne for a while. ...alright, bye.
-10 seconds to spare!
The four heads inside of the building but blinks seeing four males there. They had to be their lover’s fathers. Each one looks seeing the father of their lovers come over to speak to them.
“Y..Yes sir. I’m really Takumi but everyone knows more better as Zen. I..It’s nice to m..m.meet you.” Zen bows his his head in respect even if he was nervous to meet him as he was with Kats.
“Y..Yes. It’s nice to finally meet you too, Mr. Kai.” Nobu showed a friendly happy smile on his face but he was also bowing his head in respect or a hello in his way.
“Hello Mr. Kagefumi it’s an honor to meet you and most know we do. Most either call me Hiroshi or Kai so it depends on which most use sir.” Hiroshi said looking to Kagefumi.
Hex blinks but he looks to still hold the gifts for the fathers while giving a gentle bow of his head as well. “H..Hello Mr. Hakutomi. And yes, Mr. Quincy did seem he was dozing off but he did do his best in staying up while meeting me.” he said.
Hex, Zen, Hiroshi, and Nobu shows up at the building looking nervous to hear the other father/parent was living here.
"You think they will like us like the other fathers.." Hex mutters holding some gifts for them.
"I'm sure they will...even though I'm curious of who.." Hex said but reaches to knock on the door waiting with them.
Raidou: *once the door opened, there stood Raidou who was in his casual attire, plus a cloak due to his figure* "Oh, i was told you guys were coming, the ones your looking for are inside training, come in" *he said as when he looked at the 4, he could tell they were sweet kids for his teammates children*
*once inside he would call the others* "Guys, your children's sweethearts are here"
