Hey! I made some fanart after reading your fanfics. Technically I started drawing after reading the sadly discountinued "Atkins got nothing on me baby" on AO3, but I read your "Midnight Snack" and "Blow-Ups And Blow-Outs" multiple times before that, even though I'm not into the fart and scat stuff. Karkat is my favorite character to watch struggle LOL, but what really did it for me in these 3 fanfics was the different combinations of unawareness and humiliation and loss of control, other characters taking advantage and making a joke out of him, him not realizing how much his body changed until it's too late... It's great.

In this drawing I was thinking of it being the start of the meteor trip, end of year 1, end of year 2, and end of year 3. What sitting around snacking and watching movies for 3 years does... And of course him getting defensive about it and denying it's a problem until it's too late. Canon story wise the meteor would be the first time in his life he would be allowed to get lazy after all. But really the drawing could be anything. Happy holidays!

I'm glad you liked my stories even if the content wasn't all to your tastes, lol. I agree, I LOVE watching Karkat struggle. It's so much fun to humiliate him, and to let other characters get enjoyment out of his difficulties. It's a shame Atkins got discontinued, I wasn't aware of that happening. I was looking forward to seeing it continue. I guess that happens sometimes, I mean, I have fics that are meant to have sequels that it's been years waiting for.

Karkat blowing up on the meteor trip is choice, I love it a lot. With nothing to do, no immediate worries about his security, you're right that his weight would turn into a real problem. I bet he'd notice pretty quickly that he was gaining weight, but the second someone else mentions it to him, he digs his head into the sand and insists that he can't possibly be fat, shut the fuck up. Only for that ignorance to come back and bite him a few dozen pounds later.

If you told me this was how TI-83 binaries were structured, I would have straight up thought you were lying. JIT assembled from plaintext hex opcodes?--that can't be true. Maybe TI put that in the manual as a practical joke and nobody noticed.

Look at this stupid-ass hexdump. Every fucking byte of this file from 0x004B to 0x13C0 is either '0', '1', '2', '3', '4', '5', '6', '7', '8', '9', 'A', 'B', 'C', 'D', 'E', or 'F'.

This program is anti-compressed. Every byte of machine code is encoded as two bytes of plaintext characters.

Why would you ever do that. Why would you want your executable to stored as plaintext hex digits. It's certainly not for ease-of-editing--the file-initial "AsmPrgm" token (BBh 6Ch) prevents you from opening the file in the onboard editor--and it's definitely not for program integrity checking either. So why on Earth did TI think this was the move to make?

Baffling and upsetting. Thank god the execution model permits self-modifying and self-extracting compressed programs.

I don't see enough people in the Mouthwashing fandom talking about how the "I have found myself sexually excited at the sight of cartoon horses" line is not literal. Jimmy was just saying that to make Anya uncomfortable/embarassed and force her to put down bogus answers on his psych evaluation because he thought the whole thing was stupid. He thought it was funny. He's not actually attracted to horses.

I think it's funny that I've seen some defense regarding Mike's queer coding literally being that "he's not interested in any girls except El" bc that's just simply not how that works (in most cases).

Like I know people joke about their sexuality changing for one person, usually a celebrity, or someone else who's unattainable, but it's rarely ever the actual case. And I also know that it's a TV show so it doesn't necessarily have to be realistic but it's still interesting to think about.

I say this because we have literally no evidence to support Mike being into girls, at all. When talking to Dustin abt Suzie, comparing her to Phoebe Cates, he's has a disgusted-esc look on his face. He has no posters of girls (at least none where they are the focus) on his wall, but he does have posters of buff (fantasy) men. I also wanna mention the 'one way' sign pointing into the closet bc it's honestly iconic. They make a point of Robin commenting on Nancy's Tom Cruise poster, so we know that it's not crazy to be paying attention to these things.

All this to say that most characters in the show have moments of being attracted to people even while in a relationship (given sometimes it's just them talking about celebs or characters but still, I'm pretty sure the only time Mike's done that was w/ Cates and I already discussed that). The defense of Mike "only being attracted to El" is so unrealistic and would be really weird writing.

I dont think it's canon, but I have to say, I do love the idea that Ty needs glasses/contacts to see in his daily life, like beyond reading glasses, because it's like

I'm sure the in universe explanation for why he wouldn't have had corrective eye surgery would probably be something like consolidation making it a bit risky and it could potentially fuck up your eyes in a New and Different way, or he doesn't actually need glasses whatsoever, but personally I'm fond of the notion that...

...despite who he is and despite everything he does, all the horrific experiments and surgeries, 100% including things involving eyes...

...Ty is just too squeamish about the idea of having eye surgery done to him to get it done
