Yea, we’re both piners though. Me even more than him in some ways probably. Hmm, our dynamic… deep, unconditional love on both ends. Close never being close enough is real af. It’s not really ever enough until we get so tangled up and into each other that it’s hard to tell where one of us stops and the other starts.

That’s kind of us at our base. Tragic backstory. Traumatized af. We’re both avoidant af until we can’t be anymore (hence the title for chapter 6 of Angel Eyes being The Runners, after the tarot card The Lovers). Highkey monsterfucker vibes. Idk, it’s hard to explain in specifics now that I’m thinking of it.

Under the cut cuz I’m not trying to be Seen™️ like that but Vash is def a kin of mine so we have a very mirrored way about us. There’s a very easy internal give-and-take between us. Most of the time anyway. We don’t match up just right every time, but we’re both understanding to a fault and tend to blame ourselves for things. We internalize a lot so it’s always just us pushing each other to not do that when things aren’t great. But in being so similar there’s always a safe space for us in each other for us to seek solace in, even when there isn’t one for us in ourselves.

We’re a lot of love. A lot of healing. Interconnectedness and communication.

On the absolute lowest of lows, I’m kind of pissy about Knives being his twin, Vash’s physical mirror, and Kni being so terrible to him. Like I’ll kill you??

But we’re gonna pretend like I didn’t say any of this cuz it’s too telling for my liking :3c

theres a part in my fern textbook where it talks about fern 'spore banks' in the soil where fern spores land on the ground and instead of germinating get buried and can stay viable for several years and sometimes i think about it bc although they didnt elaborate on why this might be useful, if i was a fern-- a little guy who's survival strategy is notoriously to be the first to colonize any disturbed new places so i dont have to bother with any competition-- this would be a pretty sick deal.

like this is unconfirmed fern lore but like, if im a spore sittin several inches to feet underground and something happens thats bad enough to rip up the soil and expose me to sunlight and water again, its probably also bad enough to rip up all my competition and let me do whatever i want on a clean slate with all the nutrients i could wish for in the ruins of the ecosystem i was buried under. like, via a terrible natural disaster or landslide or something. and im already adapted to the environment because i came from a fern that was there the last time the land was ripped up and recolonized with ferns. rip to the other plants but im different lmaooo

now on one hand. six of crows should’ve been one whole season and crooked kingdom an entirely different one. i’m talking like 40 min episodes, 12 episodes per season. weekly releases where the fandom goes feral each week because oh my god. are they finally going to let kaz and inej TRULY LOOK at each other? Honestly, I’ve never thought about it in terms of specific tropes.

Pining, probably. The internal tug-of-war with himself over the things he wants, what he thinks he deserves, and what’s wanted from him.

It creates this complex dynamic (that I’m actually working with in my writing rn) that’s honestly so fun to play with. It’s incredibly appealing; being desired to the point of someone’s frustration, with him especially. He’s a big piner. He longs for a lot and most of it is selfless, self-destructively so. But he does have a selfishness in him that I cherish. It’s a special thing for him to be selfish, or think self-centeredly (this kind of depends who you ask though, but that’s the thing with trigun as a whole. there’s a lot of ways to interpret just about everything. you can even see vash’s selflessness as selfishness but I obvi do not most times). Most of what Vash wants is centered around what would benefit those around him most, so when he wants something, purely for himself, gaojajapajakaiahajbjasoiskaoaiansoosjaksosihisisjsouianhaislsnaosiajsosubsp game over
