notes: this was supposed to be a collab with my moot approx 4 years ago lmao. I hope she’s doing well.

Basically rapunzel mc who has a pet dragon instead of a chameleon, and when they go and see the lights with everybody’s beloved unlucky thief, they get pursued by an imperial knight.

Pocket sized pet dragon who’s actually the lost princess from the neighbouring kingdom. She got cursed by the witch after she was found loitering around the tower. The magic of the witch had affected the ecosystem of the grove, causing an odd mixture of both macabre and beautiful flowers and fungi to thrive. She was actually cursed to be a frog, but the witch’s ward who was secretly practicing magic using their mother’s grimoires accidentally turned her into a dragon before finding her tucked away in a corner while she was trying to hide. The following years of her life were spent as a virtually mute companion to the ward, becoming their best (and only) friend. She’s highly protective of the witch’s ward, but for reasons she deny.

Unlucky thief who made a name for himself by ending up in embarrassing situations. He once ended up in a powder room while trying to escape the palace guards. Don’t ask him for the details, not even he knows how he ended up there. He then unsuccessfully tried to charm his way out of the situation but got pelted by anything the women could find as he ran away. Even the most simple of heists can get foiled by his presence alone, so he’s infamous in the kingdom. Yet, even with the multiple close shaves he’s had, he’s quite a slippery bastard. The only time he has ever been captured was after being taken by surprise by an iron skillet to the back of his head upon entering the witch’s tower. Even if he’s not a terrorist, he might be the most renowned criminal with the amount of awfully drawn posters he has with the heading “WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE”. They can never get his nose right.

The Black Sheep of the Imperial Knights who pursued the thief when the latter attempted to steal the crown jewels. He had to prove to the rest of his jealous cohort that he wasn’t just a nepo baby who got his position thanks to his father, the Captain of the Knights. He knew that the hunt for the elusive thief would be difficult, but he didn’t expect the thief to kidnap a civilian as well! As one can observe, he’s prone to misunderstandings. Jaded when it comes to politics and the workings of the court, but naive in matters of the heart, his personality proves that chivalry isn’t dead.
