Celebrating 4 years of NewsbotRefuge a.k.a therefuge-newsbot!

Wow, I'm old. I've already written up a few paragraphs of my thanks over on the NewsbotRefuge Twitter. But basically TL;DR is that I'm thankful for the memories of the original OneShot Twitterverse and for it quite literally saving my life from the pandemic horrors.

It's insane to me that it started with me a bystander in their Discord, then going through the list of available characters they had and chose Newsbot out of interest.

Yeah, it basically formed the path for me to like robots even more. Yeah, it's what led to me becoming... well.. conc1erge.

It led me to have better choices in life because I couldn'tve had met my bestest friend through this silly little gig of seeing what chaos can ensue being a media gauntlet for the Refuge in OneShot.

I had a lot of what-ifs, posts that I thought would make sense to be in the form of a news outlet for the Refuge and even just pure chaos poking fun at media outlets to see what kind of reaction I can get from the other OneShot parodies I guess lol

And, being perfectly honest; my botsona was made from acting my headcanons for Newsbot, designing the first iteration and I guess my branding from the OneShot robots' heads.

I owe Newsbot a lot. I hope to pay it back! Sorry buddy, I'll pay back the stolen newspapers, I swear!
