a haunting melody echoes in the desolate mirror chamber. dire crowley sits up in alarm, his soul at unease as he feels the dark mirror being activated despite it being weeks before the first day of school. he stands up, gathering himself before walking to the chamber. the lonely thing that could be heard in the hallways was an empty silence, punctuated by sharp steps.

the double doors burst open and he creeps closer to the mirror. as he gets closer, it releases a dark purple aura and it makes crowley shiver.

"dark mirror!" crowley calls to it. "pray tell, what has caused you to act like this?"

"*chuckle* the true villainess is coming, crowley."

"a villainess? a girl? at our arcane academy?" crowley muttered in half-suspicion, half-wonder. he stares at the mirror in confusion. in all his years of being headmaster, dire crowley had to admit that this was beyond unnatural. just who was this girl to ignite such curiosity and wonder in the dark mirror?

"she'll be arriving soon enough. and when she does, she'll change the world."

the mirror falls silent and leaves the headmaster in his silent confusion. he marches out and shuts the double door behind him. if one were a fly in the hallway, they would be subjected to crowley's urgent planning of what to do with the girl: was he going to be able to manipulate her? use her to carry out his duties? what was she going to be like?

in the lonely mirror chamber, the dark mirror flashes again. its inky surface shimmers before it is replaced with a couple of pictures:

a snake and a raven together. a pair of headphones around an anonymous person's neck. and last but not least:

a pair of heterochromia eyes: one was a deep sapphire blue while the other was a rich ruby color. both twinkled mischievous yet held certain darkness behind those sparkling eyes...

Name: Seren Andromeda-Chase

Age: biologically 19 (age of death) , 300-400 chronologically (she died in the late 16th-17th century)

Birthday: September 17 (she doesn’t age, but still celebrates her birthday, it’s the day she came back to life)

BACKSTORY

A mysterious infant found in a broken fishing basket, washed ashore in a small village devastated by drought. Mute from birth, she was taken in by a kind family and raised among villagers who believed her arrival brought the rains that saved their village. With crops flourishing and fish returning to the lake, they whispered that Seren was a blessing from the gods.

Growing up, Seren's inability to speak set her apart. She spent most of her days swimming in the lake, feeling a deep connection to its waters, which seemed to reflect the peace she found within. Although she was revered, she was also isolated, her silence keeping her from the other children.

At nineteen, the village was struck by another drought. The rains stopped, the fish died, and the villagers, in their desperation, turned to Seren for answers. Unable to explain that she had no control over the forces they blamed her for, Seren became a scapegoat. Fearing that her power had failed or cursed them, some villagers decided she was to blame.

In a tragic fit of desperation, an angry mob set fire to Seren’s home. Trapped in the flames, she suffocated and died, unable to cry out for help. Her soul, drawn to the lake she loved, was reborn as a siren. The once-mute Seren found her voice, not as a vengeful spirit but as a guardian. Her voice, now a song of protection, soothed the waters and called the rains. Seren chose to protect the village despite their betrayal, understanding the natural cycles that caused their suffering.

Unknown to Seren, she was part of the Chase family, a lineage with deep ties to the supernatural world. Though she remains unaware of her family's significance, Seren continues to watch over the village, ensuring its safety with her voice, a powerful echo of love, forgiveness, and peace.

extremely late 400 followers sneak peek!!

the time to unlock the final coffin has arrived. with bated breath, dire crowley prowls forward. his lips are pressed into an unusually straight line, with no traces of his lively and rather theatrical personality. the dark mirror hums and its inky black darkness fades away to reveal the white mask.

"he has arrived," it speaks with a grave rasp. "is night raven college ready for him?"

hundreds of students burst into rambunctious noise. they shout over one another, proclaiming that they are the chosen ones to attend a prestigious arcane academy, who could they be to intimidate them? they, who would be nourished and nurtured to be the greatest villains of their age?

crowley sighs. "i do not know, mirror. i fear not."

lilia vanrouge hums in interest and his magenta eyes glow with intrigue. similarly, rook hunt smirks and a hand comes to bend his hood to hide the sparkle in his eyes.

the headmaster presses his key into the lock and twists it sharply. the crack echoes in the acoustic halls and the creaking of the coffin door opening is deafening in the silence.

"i'm here," the voice is smooth and deep. the stranger sits up and his hood falls to reveal ashen grey hair and sharp light navy irises. "at last."

the silence continues for a couple of seconds. only someone who had lived underneath a rock wouldn't know the boy. the stranger steps out of the coffin gracefully, taking crowley's outstretched hand before walking towards the dark mirror. he walks with confidence yet there is something dangerous about his aura that makes the students in his way flinch. he parts the crowd and a pathway is made directly leading to the mask with soulless eyes.

"speak your name."

his aura blossoms outwards, suffocating the students with the eerie feeling. he's dangerous, it warns. he's venomous. he's someone to be feared. he's not someone to be messing around with. he will have blood on his hands.

"my name is caelum lupin celestial, moonlight of the heavens and the firstborn child of my generation," caelum speaks as if no one in the hall doesn't know who he is.

the mirror is silent beflre flashing a couple of pictures. it's rumored to be prophetic and it proves the rumor right. its inky surface shimmers before it is replaced with a couple of pictures:

a sun being eclipsed by the moon. a katana and a rapier clashing together in a flurry of sparks. and last but not least:

grey eyes, mirroring the strangers, glinting with a warning. they mirrored the shade of the katana's blade in both literal and metaphorical meanings...death and danger. they say the eyes are the windows to the soul and caelum's soul is dancing with death.
