maddie original is probably not that great of a person considering literally everyone else to exist in her favored sim spends most of their time shown either agonizing over how to escape the deterministic hell of her creation or accept how to live within it and cope to the best of their abilities.

but hey, the other sims that she passes up on for not serving her purposes prove that free will and humanity among UI is actually real when granted autonomy without constraint, it just won’t seem that way in the sim that forgoes autonomy to be specifically curated in order for her and every other UI in the sims shitty lives to play out in a precise way that allows a version of her to meet her dead loved ones again (and then lose them again).

the sim we start in most likely doesn’t change at all from her initial loop around reality as a flesh and blood human, only once she repeats her mistakes from the prior sims ad infinitum with little to no alterations does she realize she can’t just set things up the same to meet her ends and expect them to be different in the ways that she desires too.

the her in the final sim-inside-a-sim we see has to have an option to make different choices from the start in order for anything to change, even if that means some of her loved ones may not be saved or even exist. she just has to trust that the life she has matters anyway, human or upload, original or reconstructed.

Pantheon s2 spoilers under the cut!!

I'm so unwell for that ending. Maddie and Caspian going thru all that pain and suffering over and over, just to see each other again. It hurts my heart <//3

And every simulation is different, has deviations, big and small, from the OG timeline.

Maybe in one simulation, they meet before shit all went down, and get to just enjoy life as the teens that they are... maybe shit doesn't even go down at all,,, but then without all that stuff happening, They'd have absolutely no reason to meet, and Mist wouldn't even exist (a world deprived of Hatsune Mistku :(((() Is there a sim where Caspian doesn't get uploaded? Where He and Maddie get to experience their future? Or maybe one where he never realizes his whole life is a lie? God,,, Maddie spent so much time creating hundreds and thousands of sims, that the possibilities might literally be endless. In conclusion Pantheon changed my brain chemistry. Stan Chanda.

it is my belief that in modern times, Pandora would play The Sims religiously.

Barty is a nosey bitch and wants to hear all about what's going on in her save

Regulus pretends to be disinterested in it but does pay far too much attention

Evan just hums at the right time and place, he's dealt with her Sims obsession for far too long.

Dorcas is in the same boat as Barty, she wants to know everything that's happened so far. They also go CC shopping together, scrolling through Pinterest and Tumblr to find the good stuff.

"I was explicitly invited, Luddie." The redhead replied, holding said invitation up between two of her fingers. "I cannot help that I make friends even when I accidentally slip into alternate realities."

Ganglöt rolled her eyes.

"Besides, when was the last time our people held so much as a feast, festival or folkmoot? I want to dress up and dance until people die."

Again, the ramble-walker attendant rolled her eyes.

Hel pressed her blue and gold feathered earring through her ear and smiled over at the other woman in the reflection of her vanity's mirror. "Just wait until you see our outfits! Angels would weep to see them wasted here at home."

Near half an hour and much fussing over her husband and her hair later, Hel smiled up at Lucy with doting affection in her amber eyes as she placed the wolf mask over his face, "You know she's not going to stop until we pose for this, yes?"

He laughed and handed off her winged mask. "I'm well aware."

And she was right. Everywhere they turned, there was Ganglöt with her ancient camera. Finally, they settled in together for the one portrait allowed to hang in the halls of Éljúðnir.

And a few others they would keep in albums and on bedsides tables.. For only each other and overly attentive man and maid servant's eyes.

"Alright, alright!" Hel laughed waving her attendant away, "Enough. We need to find his cape and go over the travel list. We can't exactly come back to this reality if we forget something!"

"“Miguel, you know that little voice people have that tells them to quit when they're ahead? You don't have one!" - Tulio, The Road to El Dorado (2000) These are The Sims 3 versions of the characters Tulio, Miguel and Chel from the 2000 animated movie The Road to El Dorado by Dreamworks Animation. All three Sims are Young Adults. Since the movie does not specify the surnames of any of the characters, I have simply used their surnames to indicate their country of origin.

This mod adds a Medieval Tactics Table to your game, which is based on the Strategy Table object from The Sims 3 Medieval. It works as a functional version of the Hit 'em Harder Blackjack Table object from the The Sims 3 Store, however it is flavoured to work in a Medieval setting.

The object works almost identically to the Hit 'em Harder Blackjack Table object from the The Sims 3 Store, therefore you WILL need the Blackjack Table from the Store installed in your game to use this object.

The Tactics Table also has differently named interactions to the Blackjack Table: Interactions have a Medieval theme to them (such as "Engage in Warfare" rather than "Play Blackjack") and the text boxes reference your Sims' actions as if they were commanding troops on a tactical map rather than playing Blackjack. However the base gameplay remains the same.

The table is editable in Create-a-Style, has two recolourable channels and has three presets. The table costs §4000, the same as the regular Blackjack Table, and requires four chairs to use. All chairs must be on the same side as they are in the regular Blackjack Table.

Note that it is possible to use both this object and the Blackjack Table from the store in your game at the same time (it's not a default replacement), however the text lines for the Store's Blackjack Table will also be Medieval-themed while this mod is installed.

Gambling Skill converted to Command Skill (Optional)

Also included in this download is the package called Lost_Pantheon_Medieval_Command_Gambling_Skill. This Package renames the Gambling Skill object from the The Sims 3 Store. The Skill will be renamed into "Command", and additionally the Moodlets gained from the Blackjack Table/Tactics Table will be renamed to be Medieval-themed. Note that this difference is only cosmetic, and is intended for use with a version of my Knight Career.

Visual errors:

Some elements of the original Blackjack Table remain: Sims will still play Blackjack cards, and cards will fly out of an invisible dealer's head.

Visual elements from the original dealer's head (such as smoke) as well as mechanical sound effects will still play, even if the Simbot dealer is gone.

I’ve not read Percy Jackson, I think I watched the first movie but that’s it

The reason I reblogged is because of this;

I know that many in the asatro community comes into it with the thought that we want all myths to be real and thus unless something divine happens to us to scientifically document then writing new stories is off the table

But I can’t help but to think about antiquity:

An Ancient Greek father, illiterate but pious to his gods and pantheon, telling his child all the stories he knows until his child wants to hear a new story, and like humans tend to do; the parents to this child use the knowledge they have of the gods and they give birth to a new story that might by us now be considered part of the canon

Here are a few party pics with some of the older gods all gathered at the "Aser" household. Osirus (not dead) and Isis live here. They invited Osirus' problematic brother Set. It looks like he left Nephthys at home but he's a jackass so that is so like him. Odin and Frigg showed up, as did Poseidon and Amphitrite. Hades is also seen here doing sit-ups for some reason. If I remember correctly Zeus and Hera are around somewhere in this party but they may have been fucking upstairs.

More RogueGambit x Star-Crossed Myth

I've been kicking this concept around a bit the past few months, so here's some more snippets.

Some details/explanations under the cut.

Star-Crossed Myth is a dating sim game where you play as a planetarium worker who finds out she’s the reincarnation of the Goddess of Fate when a gaggle of star gods appear at her doorstep, each of them having been cast out of the Heavens for some misdeed with their only hope of redemption being the aforementioned Goddess of Fate. (They’re gods more in the “Heavenly Bureaucracy” sense than the “Pantheon of Deities” sense) She chooses one of them to aid, which inevitably leads to blossoming romance. In the end, the reveal is usually that the god in question wasn’t cast out to be punished but rather to put him in the position where he could overcome some personal issue.

So the idea here is that in this AU Rogue is a goddess who gets cast out for harm caused by her power, and Remy is a human thief who turns out to be a reincarnated god, which is signified by the stars in his eyes that only gods can see. She saves his life and he gives her a place to stay, and despite them both having things they’re running from, they find something in each other that gives them strength to face their problems.

I don’t really know what the plot would be, but when it comes to a head, Rogue would figure out how to control her power and Remy’s own power would awaken. It would be revealed that Rogue was sent away to give her the opportunity to find herself outside of the Heavens. And now that there’s a human who’s managed to tap into divine power, someone’s going to need to keep an eye on him, and hey that sounds like a great job for Rogue, whose power can keep his from overwhelming him.

I finished BO6 and here are my thoughts! (Part 4)

Okay, so. Sims is back. I LOVED seeing him again. I didn't realize how much I missed him, and he's so done with Adler's shit it's hilarious. Sims is trying to make everything right and Adler is treating the Geneva Convention as a checklist

Interrogating Gusev was... Something. I loved it, I could see how terrified he was and you know what? Good.

Then, Vorkuta. It was nice seeing the map again in better graphics. I felt nostalgic, and might replay BO1 later just for the escape mission. Sev was being a diva again (I persuaded everyone to help me). Very nice. Running into the tunnels with Case was something, I want to replay the mission just to see how Harrow reacts to each option Case can tell her when they met.

Btw I haven't changed my stance Harrow can do anything to me I don't care. She's a little fucked up but I can fix her

I finished the safehouse puzzles, and then... Separation Anxiety. I was terrified of Harrow's part, mainly the second shard with the generators. For a second, I thought her father had killed himself (the hanged mannequin) and I'm scared of her doll. But I was also sad for her - I almost cried. She was vulnerable, and she was manipulated. I wish she hadn't gone down such a destructive path, but I understand.

I know I shouldn't be surprised, but Woods knowing about the "separation" as Adler called was a bit of a shock. My guy why are you so comfortable?? You know what this shit does to people!! Mason is rolling in his grave right now!!

I also loved the fact Separation Anxiety and Checkmate were interleaved. It made a frenetic rhythm that suited the end very well. I also like the reoccurrence of the chess theme.

Now, for Checkmate, I confess I was more paying attention to Felix going absolutely ballistic. Sir aren't you against weapons? Where's Mr. I don't want to touch guns anymore? Don't get me wrong: I'm living for it. I was terrified for a few moments as I thought he'd die on that bridge, but I'm happy it didn't happen.

Harrow's and Woods' conversation was... Something. And even if I knew he wouldn't die because of BO2 I was terrified when he was stabbed.

And then Case losing his shit on Harrow. Completely justified btw. Yes smash her with the weapon they forced you to be. The way she talked about him, it made me feel sick. And I really, really hope he didn't die. It would be a huge waste of a good protagonist, even more if they plan on keeping the Pantheon as the villain, because then it's personal

Overall, I really enjoyed the game and think it did a good job. I do think some things could be better, mainly Case and his link to the Cradle, but again, if he isn't dead this can be fixed easily. It was a fun ride, now I gotta write (I want to make a series of "what ifs" for the game) and replay everything to get it done on veteran :D

The Sims 3.

The Sims 5 is on its way, and remains something of a mystery. It is thought to be some years from release, though rumors abound that it will be free-to-play when it does, finally, arrive.

This weekend, however, we are looking not into the mists of the future, but back into the pantheons of the past. The Sims 3 is trending, and y'all are sharing a warm, fuzzy, nostalgic indulgence into those halcyon days of Sims gone by. Keep it up.
