Tulio, Miguel and Chel from "The Road to El Dorado" by Lost Pantheon

"“Miguel, you know that little voice people have that tells them to quit when they're ahead? You don't have one!" - Tulio, The Road to El Dorado (2000) These are The Sims 3 versions of the characters Tulio, Miguel and Chel from the 2000 animated movie The Road to El Dorado by Dreamworks Animation. All three Sims are Young Adults. Since the movie does not specify the surnames of any of the characters, I have simply used their surnames to indicate their country of origin.

This mod adds a Medieval Tactics Table to your game, which is based on the Strategy Table object from The Sims 3 Medieval. It works as a functional version of the Hit 'em Harder Blackjack Table object from the The Sims 3 Store, however it is flavoured to work in a Medieval setting.

The object works almost identically to the Hit 'em Harder Blackjack Table object from the The Sims 3 Store, therefore you WILL need the Blackjack Table from the Store installed in your game to use this object.

The Tactics Table also has differently named interactions to the Blackjack Table: Interactions have a Medieval theme to them (such as "Engage in Warfare" rather than "Play Blackjack") and the text boxes reference your Sims' actions as if they were commanding troops on a tactical map rather than playing Blackjack. However the base gameplay remains the same.

The table is editable in Create-a-Style, has two recolourable channels and has three presets. The table costs §4000, the same as the regular Blackjack Table, and requires four chairs to use. All chairs must be on the same side as they are in the regular Blackjack Table.

Note that it is possible to use both this object and the Blackjack Table from the store in your game at the same time (it's not a default replacement), however the text lines for the Store's Blackjack Table will also be Medieval-themed while this mod is installed.

Gambling Skill converted to Command Skill (Optional)

Also included in this download is the package called Lost_Pantheon_Medieval_Command_Gambling_Skill. This Package renames the Gambling Skill object from the The Sims 3 Store. The Skill will be renamed into "Command", and additionally the Moodlets gained from the Blackjack Table/Tactics Table will be renamed to be Medieval-themed. Note that this difference is only cosmetic, and is intended for use with a version of my Knight Career.

Visual errors:

Some elements of the original Blackjack Table remain: Sims will still play Blackjack cards, and cards will fly out of an invisible dealer's head.

Visual elements from the original dealer's head (such as smoke) as well as mechanical sound effects will still play, even if the Simbot dealer is gone.

I know that many in the asatro community comes into it with the thought that we want all myths to be real and thus unless something divine happens to us to scientifically document then writing new stories is off the table

But I can’t help but to think about antiquity:

An Ancient Greek father, illiterate but pious to his gods and pantheon, telling his child all the stories he knows until his child wants to hear a new story, and like humans tend to do; the parents to this child use the knowledge they have of the gods and they give birth to a new story that might by us now be considered part of the canon

Here are a few party pics with some of the older gods all gathered at the "Aser" household. Osirus (not dead) and Isis live here. They invited Osirus' problematic brother Set. It looks like he left Nephthys at home but he's a jackass so that is so like him. Odin and Frigg showed up, as did Poseidon and Amphitrite. Hades is also seen here doing sit-ups for some reason. If I remember correctly Zeus and Hera are around somewhere in this party but they may have been fucking upstairs.

The Sims 5 is on its way, and remains something of a mystery. It is thought to be some years from release, though rumors abound that it will be free-to-play when it does, finally, arrive.

This weekend, however, we are looking not into the mists of the future, but back into the pantheons of the past. The Sims 3 is trending, and y'all are sharing a warm, fuzzy, nostalgic indulgence into those halcyon days of Sims gone by. Keep it up.

Oh my goodness, I just checked in, and in addition to everything else, the cure elixir can get rid of the allergy haze moodlet now! Now my sims in worlds without rabbitholes can pick wildflowers again. 🎉🥰

Better Elixirs by Lost Pantheon

“This mod alters how several Elixirs from the Expansion Pack The Sims 3: Supernatural work, mainly the Cure Elixir and Potent Cure Elixir. These Elixirs only remove the Tragic Clown, Zombie and Toad Sim moodlets, which I felt was a bit disappointing for what is effectively a healing potion. This mod will make the Cure Elixir and Potent Cure Elixir remove a vast array of negative moodlets, mainly physical moodlets, such as Sore, Aching Back and Poisoned. The Potent Cure Elixir will still remove an occult Sim’s occult status, as it did before. A full list of the moodlets that these elixirs remove can be found below:

The Sims 4 - Olympians Gods Legacy Challenge

Based on the famous “Not So Berry” Legacy Challenge, the Olympian Gods Legacy Challenge follows an offspring where each generation is based on one of the Olympian gods from Greek Mythology. Each generation will have to complete careers, skills or goals based on myths of the gods in Greek mythology.

General Rules (Rules for all generations):

With the exception of the 'Hera' and 'Artemis' generations, each generation can be made with any gender

'freerealestate' will be allowed in the first house, after that avoid cheats

It is interesting that each generation has an object that refers to the generation's patron god.

It is not mandatory to use the name of the patron god as the name of the sim

Feel free to adapt the challenge to whatever you think works best, the goal is just to be fun

Generation I: Zeus

“Zeus was considered the god of the heavens, lightning and thunder. He was the most powerful god in the Greek pantheon, ruling over men and gods from Mount Olympus.”

You always heard that he was born to be someone important or great. Even when you tried to avoid it, he was placed in leadership positions and thus graduated from school with the best grades, being the valedictorian of his class and accepted into any college he wanted. You grew up having everyone's attention and sometimes climbing mountains to escape the feeling of being watched all the time, with the rarefied air helping to ease your mind. Senaverse Lorepost: The Trail of Life

I've been trying to work with, rather than against, the limitations of TS2 coding for a while now. One of my biggest sticking points in the past has been age stages - feeling like they had to "make sense" by earthly human standards, dealing with the curfew coding that pushes children and teens to leave community lots at a certain hour, wanting meaningful rites of passage instead of "bam, you're an adult"...

But! I'm finally at a point where I'm satisfied with my explanation for how ageing works in the Senaverse, so ramble incoming!

Instead of thinking in terms of the seven Maxis life stages, I've divided the Trail of Life into thirteen phases. Thirteen has always been a significant number in my life, and also represents wholeness in Nuidya numerology. Each phase has its own challenges, limitations, benefits and characteristics. Not everyone reaches the same phase at the same time, but in general it works like this:

Hatchling Phase is, for most people in the Senaverse, the first phase of life - in other words, the baby stage. It lasts for at least a starband and a day, so I don't have newborns becoming toddlers in the same rotation they were born.

Warded Phase is the early toddler stage, when magical protections are in place to prevent the toddler leaving the lot. At around the midway point of the life stage, the toddler enters the Wandering Phase, where they can leave their home lot if they're accompanied by an older household member - this is achieved by a mod.

Child stage begins with the Emerging Phase - growing out of infancy, though still protected by some wards. In my house rules, they still cannot leave the home lot on their own. When a child transitions to Charging Phase - named for both the phase's boundless energy and building up to the rites of passage - they can start going places alone (thanks to my Children Walk to Lots mod) as long as they're back home by nightfall. This is because things lurk in the darkness on Juvash, things that you really need a strong will and knowledge of the proper ritual to escape from...

Anyway! Early teenhood (a period that covers the ages of thirteen to twenty-five on Juvash) is the Flux Phase. I used to use a teen mood swing mod, but had problems with it, so I now use fway's "Unstable" personality and interest change mods to simulate the Flux Phase. It is a time for trying out new things, but also making the last few preparations for the rites of passage, which take place around Blossoming Phase, usually mid-to-late teen stage. This is the point where a young sim is considered an adult, though they are discouraged from choosing partners or starting families until they know themselves better.

The university subhood of Kulo Sena actually represents a journey into the Spirit World - one that is not a requirement, or even a certainty. If you get the calling, that's where you go for the next nine starbands. Fittingly, YA is the Called Phase.

Adulthood is the only life stage split into three phases. They are Open Phase, the point when a sim starts considering their trade and family options; Adept Phase, when they are more established in those areas and generally know what their role in the community is; and Trueself Phase, the precursor to elderhood, when some sims actually begin to evolve into new forms that reflect their inner nature.

Epic Phase is elderhood. TS2 elders don't lose any skills or abilities, but do have the benefit of life experience, so on Juvash, this is the most powerful stage... aside from another phase that not everyone reaches: Ascended Phase. Ascended sims are taken into their local pantheon of ancestors, becoming effectively immortal, and being townified.
