It’s so incredibly important to me that Luke isn’t vegan or vegetarian, and that he hasn’t ever been (to our knowledge.

Stay with me here because this is a long post.

In early childhood, around age four or so, children develop the ability to show empathy and understand perspectives other than their own. And at some point, I’d imagine almost everyone has the realization that when they eat meat, whatever it was used to be alive. Yes it’s sad, but it’s the circle of life. It’s just how it is for our survival.

To my understanding, vegetarians and vegans (for non-dietary reasons) choose it so they don’t participate in inhumane practices and support the exploitation of animals. I have also heard the perspectives that the animals don’t consent to whatever product being taken from them.

I’d imagine this would be a little different for Luke (and Clark as well), because they can communicate with the animals in questions. In this case, he has a heightened sense of empathy for them, because he can connect to the animals in a way that other people can’t. He knows the butcher, but he also knew the pig, if that makes sense.

But he can also talk to predators like Hannibal, Old Red, etc that are carnivorous (or otherwise have the ability to hunt and kill). I can imagine he’s had his chance encounters with dead prey and the like. And with that ability, he can relate.

All this to say that I think Luke was introduced at a young age to the concept that some things are bound to happen. The circle of life. Death is unavoidable and inescapable, and it will come for everyone eventually. Not that their lives are meaningless, but that it all serves a greater purpose, and that everyone has a role to fill. Things are meant to live and to die, and balance remains intact. That’s just a fact of life.

Luke, by AL, has had brushes with death before. Running from the specter, saving Melina, getting strung up five stories off the ground, etc. He’s no stranger to how dangerous being with Layton is, and he’s accepted it.

In Azran Legacy, Luke is the first to accept his death. Of all five of them, he’s the only child, and yet the first to turn to the beams. He bears such a sense of responsibility where any other twelve year old would probably be petrified. The world is ending and to save it he has to die? It’s a large burden to bare, but the others, who have year of age over him, don’t accept it. In fact, the oldest person ends up being the last to step in, and even then takes his time.

Of course this is partly due to his maturity (he’s been established to show maturity beyond his years) and partly because of Professor Layton’s own burden of responsibility, some of that unnecessary guilt I imagine has rubbed off on Luke.

However, I like to think that Luke’s upbringing and experiences have a part in that. Everything must die eventually, and if his time is now, and if it will help everyone, so be it.

- the world is ending in an episode and they all need to road trip back to midvale, lena included, just bc i want her to see more of kara’s backstory

- a bad villain makes kara flies her way into l corp but they did with green k and she is pain by the time she destroys lenas window and lena is like ‘’for god’s sake, supergirl, my money doesnt grown on trees’’ but freezes when she sees her best friend in pain and kara is like ‘’hey sweetcakes, can you give me a hand?’’ and lena helps her and kara says ‘’my hero’’.

- lois being the one who realizes kara and lena like each other. how? they look at each other like she looks at clark and vice-versa. she tells clarks that and he’s all like ‘’ew stop saying that my cousin wants do date. shes still 12.’’ 

- lex making remarkable comments about lena being soft with kara cuz after the reveal the fight. and fight. but they relantionship is strong as ever now and he never saw his sister like this.

- lilian being all like ‘’you make her happy in a way that nobody else could’’ to kara. 

- alex and lex (because lets face it he is ironic like that) both giving shovel talks to kara and lena.

- kara’s powers and feelings actually changing bc of the #lavandermenace. 

- lena at karaoke night singing diamonds are a girl best friend

- kara getting drunk with alien alcohol again but in lena’s presence. 

- kara and lena being into big little lies but they only watched 3 episodes cuz after the third episode lena discovered everything. 

- leviathan being actually the assassin league ruled by talia al aghul who is a HUGE lesbian and flirts with kara everytime they are facing each other. kara just gets flustered and lena snorts.

love the whole "Remus is gryffindor's casanova" most of you have going on but that is not me AT ALL.

I like to think that Regulus absolutely CANNOT handle second hand embarrassment. Anything he's witnessing that could possibly end up embarrassing? he's walking away, speed walking even.

He has left so many people (cough cough mainly James, Sirius, and Barty) stranded before because he refuses to even witness their tomfoolery in any way. He's got like spider sense tingles on the back of his neck whenever someone starts to do something that he considers embarrassing or cringe in the area he's in.

I'm convinced you guys don't know what the word casanova actually means and you're just putting it as a replacement word for someone who a lot of people crush on. Casanova implies INTENT. That they're going around seducing left and right.

Remus Lupin would NEVER. I like to think he gets a weird uncomfortable look on his face whenever someone he doesn't know tries to talk to him. Remus Lupin whenever he likes someone makes a total fool of himself. I'm taking not paying attention and walks into a wall getting a bloody nose. I'm talking stumbles over his words until he just sighs and gives up walking away. I'm talking that when he can get words out of his mouth their stupid as fuck. He's so cringe fail loser and YOU GUYS JUST DON'T REALIZE IT.

He's friends with the 'popular' people, sure, but there's always one loser in the group to balance it out (plus I'm a firm believer of many people found the marauders annoying and the fact that so many of y'all put Peter in the loser position... for shame).

If we want to talk about casanova let's talk casanova. The real Casanova of Gryffindor is the one and only Marlene McKinnon. She's stupid (/aff) but she also goes out of her way to bag as many girls as she can before she somehow finds herself settled down with Dorcas (Dorcas isn't really sure how it happened either).

That is my truth and I will not let the masses stop me. They hated Jesus at first too and look where he is now.

it is my belief that the "Siri" nickname for Sirius is used by Regulus and Regulus only.

BUT even more specifically, in the younger years when they're close. Or in modern/non voldy aus when Regulus wants to get away with something or act innocent. "Siri" being used in any other situation or being said by any other character feels weird and wrong.

I think one of the reasons I enjoy the trans regulus headcanon (other than the fuck you to jkr that it just naturally brings) is that it makes him just so much more tragic in my mind no matter what iteration.

His family allows him to transition because they need an heir? He's forever in their debt. He can't escape without the weight of everything they've allowed him to do crushing him. Leaving would mean letting this new life, this *true* life of his go. He's trapped in a cage and it might as well be from his own making.

He never transitions/dies before he gets the chance? No one knows the real him. All they will ever see is a mask that he would never be able to drop, a box that he can't escape without risk.

He fakes his death? Similar to the last one, he will forever be remembered incorrectly by the ones of his past. They would never look to him with the same familiarity again. He's left everything behind for one goal and his legacy according to those who were once close couldn't be more wrong.

He gets kicked out/runs away? He's left everything he's known behind for a goal unknown. The whispers can't help but follow him. He can never have the safety of falling back on the known ever again.
