Those unhappy gurgles somebody's stomach makes when it's just really really upset. I just love the idea that Tighnari in canon can pick up on them immediately because of how sharp his hearing is! And Cyno subconsciously feeling so embarrassed whenever his stomach rumbles because he knows Tighnari can hear every bit of it. I can see him just keeping his arms tightly crossed over top of it as if that would somehow muffle the sound.

And YES I love the idea of Tighnari almost being able to predict when Cyno is going to be sick, because he can hear his stomach start to act up. Those ears don't miss anything!

I can see Cyno just being groggy and out of it as Tighnari is drawing him up in bed and leaning him over a bucket, asking what's going on, and Tighnari tells him "you're going to be sick, love."

Cyno just begins to ask what, how, when suddenly yes, he is in fact starting to gag and thank goodness Tighnari already has the bucket there.

Both Angel and Alastor are good at taking care of sick people, but they are not the best patients. Alastor more than Angel, because Angel can be placated with his phone and pet pig.

Alastor has to be either drugged or Angel has to cuddle him to get him to stay in bed.

sickfics are my most pleasured guilty pleasure i desperately need more about them in this fandom🙏🙏 (also nischa is my main rtc ship so there may be hints towards that oops)

-ocean is so annoying to take care of when she's sick she blatantly refuses to rest until she literally cannot keep going

-often times this results in constance trailing after her all but begging ocean to accept help

-noel is also kind of annoying but in a self pitying woe is me way also there's like a 50% chance that he will also refuse help simply because of his pride

-he will go from "fuck off i'm fine." to "i'm dying." in the span of two minutes

-he also cannot stand being alone when he's sick because he needs the distraction so he always has his mother or one of the members of the choir around

-he's also extremely emotional in contrast to being usually pretty apathetic, he will yell at you or just like. start crying. without warning so nobody actually wants to be around him

-mischa is the opposite

-he isolates himself from everyone so as to not be seen in a moment of weakness (talia is the one person he will talk to unless noel is around)

-he just falls off the grid all his social media followers are like ?? because he usually posts stuff every few hours

-ricky just stays home and goes online all day when he's sick

-he won't blatantly tell anyone he's sick but if they ask he won't deny it

-unless it's funny and ironic

Tomioka Giyuu Sickfic Headcanons

In celebration of the fact that I'm back into KNY (and thus making this blorbo of mine suffer), I've decided to post my HCs regarding Tomioka Giyuu in the context of sickfic.

Thusly, him as either a sickee or a caretaker.

Sickee - Strikes me as the type to just keep pushing on, no matter how severe an illness may get to him. He usually ignores others' requests/demands for him to stop and rest, and he will constantly try to leave if they force him to stay and rest. - Even while sick, his senses/instincts are as sharp as ever. Really the only thing that changes is that his body temperature is higher than normal, and his usually still posture turns to slightly swaying. However, the swaying does not affect him when he's moving in any way. - So long as he keeps moving - even if he's just walking - no one usually notices he's sick. One may notice if they make contact with his skin though, due to the increase in body temperature (Unless if you have super senses. i.e. Tanjirou, Zenitsu/Uzui, Inosuke, etc.) - Usually, the only thing that stops him is when his sickness gets so bad that he passes out. Which always seems to be in a danger zone - whether that be an active fight against a demon or on the side of a cliff. Luckily, there's almost always someone capable nearby, where he can be taken to the butterfly estate or similar and be nursed back to health... to the best of their ability.

Caretaker - Takes the task as another mission: doing it as carefully and blankly as possible. Although, depending on the person (or ship), his attitude may be different. - Regarding sickee(s), it depends on their personality(ies). While usually steadfast and unchanging in its methods, water also changes its flow to match the shape of something else. Giyuu is similar. - If the sickee is harsh and notably stubborn, he may push back with just as much stubbornness, to make sure that they recover fully and his 'mission' is complete.

Bonnie hugging Siffrin, lifting him off his feet slightly, saying that they will carry Siffrin even if Siffrin's legs stop working. A very "that's the spirit" moment.

Remus doesn't love when you get sick, he hates seeing you with a red raw nose and a fever but he loves how you act when you're under the weather.

You're usually his independent girlfriend when you're fully healthy, but the minute you're even a bit sniffly, you can't lift a finger for yourself and he loves that he can take care of you.

"Remmy," you whine, shoving your face into his chest as he helps you sit up in bed. You'd be wrecked with a fever over the night and Remus had been a diligent doctor and placed a cool rag on your chest and back and had you bundled up all night.

This little routine had gone on all morning when he realised that the fever never broke fully.

"My love," he responds, smiling when you lift your head with a shy smile. "What can I do for you?" He pulls the rag from behind you, feeling the back of your neck and finding the fever reduced but not gone.

"I just want a cuddle and a kiss." Remus pouts, smearing a kiss to your forehead, cheek and then your lips and pulls you a little closer to him and squeezes you tight.

Remus smiles over your head, especially when you nuzzle closer to his neck and shift your body to his lap. "Better?" he asks, amusement colouring his tone as he moves his hands around you to hold you better.

"A little," you're too nasal for your liking. You hate being ill. You hate it more than anything in the world, but your job gets you sick every term. "Do we have vegetable soup?"

Remus hums, "I can make you some. With beef stock?"

You perk a little, leaning back to look at him with your bleary eyes. "And lots of egg noodles."

Remus nods, "But you have to take all your medicine." That deflates you instantly and he chuckles at the way you grimace. "Baby, you have to."

"But I don't want the syrup." You sound petulant and whiny but you lean even more into Remus, like you can hide away yourself in him and it makes his heart stampede in his chest.

"I won't give you the syrup, babylove." he pushes back your sweaty hair and kisses your forehead, frowning when he feels your fever again. "However," and at that you whine again, holding onto his neck as if it would save you from whatever heartbreaking news Remus was about to tell you.

"Rem," you cut him off and he shakes his head, only a little stern as he speaks again.

"You'll have to take something for your fever and they won't be the gummies you like. They'll more likely be tablets."

You sniffle wetly, congested making you sound worse as you speak. "Just two?"

Remus nods and pulls you from his neck, wiping the tears that tumble down your cheeks. "Just two. Give me thirty minutes to get everything together and we can have a cwtch and watch a show while you eat."

You nod, kissing Remus' wrist as you climb out of his lap and lay on the bed. He tucks you in and sets a cool rag on your chest just before he leaves and heads to the kitchen.

How the doctors handle your sick days - Headcanons

This one's for the girls, goths, and gays that have a chronic illness, a disability, or are just plain old sick. As a chronically ill girlie myself I'm always craving caretaker fics but never find them so I had to be the change I wanted to see in the world.

Dr. Jonathan Crane

He immediately shifts into a stoic clinical demeanor the moment you start to show any signs of discomfort. At first you find it a bit worrisome because his voice seems so cold and detached, but now it makes you feel grounded and safe.

Jonathan always makes sure you have everything you need, but he unfortunately doesn't think much further than that. It takes him some time to learn how to comfort you as well as heal you.

The best part about having him by your side when you're ill is that he can always talk you out of a bad state of mind. Above all, Crane remains a psychologist, and he takes pride in his ability to override your negative thoughts.

Dr. Hannibal Lecter

You are utterly spoiled. Hannibal makes sure to cook for you and bring your meal to bed or the living room so you can eat comfortably. In the evenings, he makes sure to run a hot bath for you with herbs and epsom salts to soothe any aches and open up your respiratory system.

Since he is a doctor after all, he has prescribing rights, and will usually write prescriptions for any necessary medications. Need to get an injection, or an IV drip? Hannibal does that for you at home.

His pride and possessiveness makes him want to give you the best possible care to ensure someone else doesn't touch you this way. Hannibal gets nervous at the thought of your safety and health being out of his hands. How could he trust someone else with such a precious life? What if they made a mistake and hurt you or worse?

Dr. Robert Laing

"I'm not that kind of doctor." is always the first thing he says when you mention that you aren't feeling well. However, this doesn't mean he's not helpful, he is still a pathologist. Laing always does his best to make you feel better.

He's always reading up on your symptoms and possible treatments. If something is out of his grasp, he isn't afraid to admit it and seek out assistance. Even if he can't be the one to treat you, Laing will be there with you every step of the way to advocate for you and make sure you feel safe.

Much like Scarecrow, at first he seems rather cold and detached, but it's only his training taking over. However, his starting bedside manner is much better, and over time he adapts very well to your needs.

Dr. Spencer Reid

Now he's definitely not that kind of doctor, but that doesn't mean he isn't prepared to take care of you. His eidetic memory comes in clutch with any possible knowledge about your condition and how to act accordingly.

He always tries to be there for your doctor appointments or for any major procedures. Spencer wants to make sure you're being properly cared for and he isn't afraid to confront anyone that talks down to you or dismisses your symptoms.

When you're resting at home he clings to you like a lost puppy. He happily reads to you when you lack the energy to talk, or if you just want a bedtime story. He never forgets to check in on you even when he's away on a case, and will often ask Garcia to pick up items from the pharmacy for you if he can't do it himself.

I look forward to probably including some variant of this in the upcoming fic! I wasn't going to elaborate a ton after I first read this but like, i've been stewing on it as Im prone to and I love what you said so much??? I think probably when touching on this Im going to have to be careful not to absorb too much of the thought process lmao.

I definitely understand WHY it's the variation you would take, and it's a very logical chain. And I agree that the core of Nari being like avoiding telling Cyno is he Knows it will worry cyno but he also genuinely thought he was fine/it wasn't serious he just needed a little rest. But the trouble w/ being the main healer of the area he's in is that there's not rly anyone to overrule him when he's maybe a bit, ah, compromised and normally he compensates! but anyone can make a mistake.

So. Tighnari miscalculated (or maybe he didn't! But Collei worries anyway, she's never seen him like this!) and Cyno gets a message abt Tighnari from Collei and his heart just drops because why is he hearing this from her what went wrong that Tighnari didn't tell him himself.

And, I was originally leaning a bit into the "why wouldn't you tell me you needed me here" along the angle of "yes we're both incredibly busy people and my duties are important but you are important to me of course I want to be here/want to help" but like, cyno stews on it while taking care of Tighnari. because ofc he wouldn't Say That even if he's thinking it for so long it turns into the 'did he really not want me here/are we not really that close' trains.

And ofc nari is grateful to have him there, if apologetic for pulling him away from xyz and also for it ending up happening the way it did because no he didn't expect someone else to tell him, and he Probably Knows Cyno got more worried than necessary from that alone.

It's them tho. they'll talk about it.

I've been thinking a lot about Cyno coping with a sick Tighnari (totally not for fic purposes nope [/joking]) especially centered on Tighnari trying really hard not to let him be told? Because like! The distance means Nari can get away with A Lot. So Cyno finds out Nari's been ill, but like because a third party sent him a message.

I can't get out of my head the slight "I always call for you why wouldn't you tell me you needed me here" that has tucked into my brain and I don't know if it fits Cynos personality??? I don't think he'd say it but I've been chewing on it a lot idk. All that to say - I'm Extremely curious for your take on such a thing if you feel up to giving it! Cyno finding out, second hand at best that Nari's been sick for days. (also aha I figured out how to trick it into letting me send long anons x.x maybe???)

This is so interesting to me because yes!! I love this vibe and I think there's a place for it in a CynoNari fic but I also agree that Cyno wouldn't say it out loud??!? So I've been mulling it over and I wonder if Cyno would go more of the internalizing route. Instead of "why didn't you tell me?" it might be more "what did I do wrong so that Nari didn't trust me with this?"

Because yeah, Cyno goes to Nari to recharge and feel better and get taken care of, so I think he is gonna worry when Nari doesn't do the same with him. I imagine that his first reaction is panic - Is Tighnari okay? I need to be with him, right now. How can I fix him? And then there's some hurt - Why didn't he tell me? And then some internalized guilt - Have I done anything to break his trust? Or even: Are we not as close as I thought we were? Doubts and second-guessing.

Damn, I'm picturing Cyno being there caring for Tighnari and thinking he's selfish for it. Thinking that once Tighnari's more lucid, he won't want Cyno there. And then when Nari is more lucid, Cyno apologizing and moving to leave before Tighnari even says anything. Nari's confused, and like "Wait– Cyno. Why are you apologizing?" And then they chat and it comes out that Tighnari really didn't think he was in such bad shape, and he didn't want to bother/worry Cyno, but like - he's so glad that Cyno's here. He never feels safe like he does when Cyno's around. He's sorry for not being more open and honest with him from the start etc etc.

Batfam sick days

Dick had gotten the Spanish flu at like 12 and almost died. It was definitely an experience that no one involved wants to think about ever again. 0/10, no stars, would not recommend

Jason had the bubonic plague at 13ish - gave it to Dick - and both had genuinely almost died. Like the doctors had to pull Bruce aside and was like ‘maybe we should…” and everything before Bruce growled and willed them to be better

Tim once got sick and with a sickness that never existed before he got it - no one knows HOW he got it (not even himself) and spread it out to the rest of the kids on purpose by accident

(Like irl, if one kid is sick, ALL kids are sick. “If I’m going down, I’m taking you with me, you hippo fucker.”)

Cass doesn’t get sick for other than a rare runny nose/cough if you count allergies - though, she did have chickenpox once. She had to have the sitcom ‘oven mitt’ jail

Steph gets sick once a year, same month, same week, same day, all the way done to the second, like clock work. She WILL be dramatic as fuck about it even though it’s just a common cold

Damian gets sick every now and then because he wasn’t around the amount of people with the league than he is now with elementary/middle so he has new germs etc

Duke gets sick rarely and when he does, it’s BAD. Like hospitals and shit bad. Only because his temp gets to the 100s, not because he’s dramatic enough to have one of the PLAGUES (side eyes Dick and Jason)

Bruce gets sick on purpose. He needs to make sure his immune system is constantly up to date. He even has it marked on a calendar a month in advance “sorry - will be sick”

Alfred doesn’t get sick. He’s not human. His a weird ancient god that soul bonded with Martha and Thomas and now watches over the bats because they are an extension of his bonds

Very worried if you don’t want to eat. Will practically beg you to have some broth at least

Wants to take your temperature and know exactly how your feeling and if it’s getting worse or not at all times

If it gets bad he will (begrudgingly) ask Solomon for help

Very good at giving comfort, will let you know everything is okay and that he will take care of you and you will be better in no time

Will use this as an excuse to stay home from school

Read a fic once where mammon stays home with you when your sick, and he thinks this is an opportunity to hang out when you are legitimately Ill and just want to sleep and I find that so accurate sorry LMAO

But once he finds out your actually hurting and not feeling well he gets empathetic

If you need something he’s on the move trying to get it for you

If you don’t feel like leaving your room, he will play video games on his handheld in your bed till you fall asleep

If you want to go to his room, it’s already set up before you get there

His bathtub bed is stocked with the best blankets and all the plushies so your extra comfy

Will put on an easy to watch slice of life anime for you to watch while you relax

Room is STOCKED with all the essentials. Pain medication, chest rub, water, light snacks, all so you don’t have to get up and he doesn’t have to leave his room

I LOVE watching ppl play video games so I hc that he plays a single player game so you can watch

He’s CONSTANTLY messaging Lucifer every time you cough, sneeze, groan, to the point where he gets mad and comes and checks on you himself and tells Levi to calm down

Overall he’s very attentive and caring and you NEED to get better now!! He needs his player 2!

At first he sends you encouraging messages and definitely checks up on you

But once Solomon lets him know he can’t get sick from you he’s all over you

He doesn’t know what he’s doing, but he has a nurses costume. And dressing the part is half of the job right?

He’s bubbly and bright, hoping to put a smile on your face

Feels your forehead and knows you have a fever and has no idea how to help

When you tell him you’ve taken medication already it makes him feel better

A full spa day is in order, he brings you to his room where the bath is already prepared with essential oils, salts, and different scents to warm you up and open your sinuses

If your okay with it (he will ask permission before walking in on you in the bath) he will wash and condition your hair, getting out all the knots in your hair from staying in bed for the past few days

He has one of his silk pajama sets for you to wear, cooking enough when you have a fever but covered enough so you don’t get a cold

Will put your head in his lap and massage your head, neck, and shoulders if you have any pain till you fall asleep

But if you fall asleep he *might* just sneak a couple selfies of you looking “so sleepy and SO adorable!”

Immediately worried

If he’s the first person to find out your sick, he picks you up, takes you to the common room, and says “mcs dying”

He’s never seen you so weak before and he’s just so worried and wants to get you help NOW

Will listen to anyone giving him instructions on what to get you or what to do

VERY comforting, it seems like he knows the exact times you need a cuddle or for someone to tell you it’s okay

You keep telling everyone your not hungry, that your in pain and you don’t want to eat, nothing sounds good

Then beel goes “what if I make you ___?”

His cooking just sounds better for some reason

Maybe it’s because you know if beel made it it’s tasty? Or maybe you know if he made it it’s made with love

Will feed you, no questions. He doesn’t want you wasting your energy feeding yourself

You’ll never be cold again cause he’s right there at all times with a hug

He knows humans, so when you have a cold he’s not worried (or so he says)

“Ew gross your sick? Wait no don’t kick me out I wanna cuddle”

He tries to remain chill so you relax as well

“Come on i was so helpful when you were sick! You can do the dishes tonight right?”

A while ago there was a post where we talked about Lyney and spicy food and that idea has slithered right back into my brain.

I'm still in love with the whole concept of Lumine cooking this fancy liyuen dish as a treat and it being way too spicy for Lyney, but he's not about to turn down something Lumine made. But I have another thing to add onto that.

What do you typically drink if you ate something too spicy? Milk.

AU Lyney is lactose intolerant.

My brain took that idea and ran with it.

Lyney tries, he really does, but dear lord whatever Lumine put in there is spicy and everything is on fire, and finally he just cracks, he can't handle it. Lumine is half comforting him, half scolding him, because why didn't he just say he didn't have a spice tolerance?? But Lyney is practically in tears at this point (we already know in this au his eyes get watery really easily so you just know he has tears streaming down his face)

Nothing is helping and he finally just goes "that's it, I need milk." Lumine tries to tell him that's definitely not a good idea considering he has a bad time after one slice of cheesy pizza. A glass of pure milk is going to send him to the afterlife and back. But of course our boy is desperate.

His stomach is not happy with him. First an insane amount of spice he's not used to, and then a whole glass of milk? He's lying with his head in Lumine's lap that night, sweating bullets from just how much pain he's in.

I think the first time Tommy gets sick, he'll try hide it from Buck but Buck's got this creepy 6th sense where he can tell something is wrong based off text messages and he turns up at Tommy's doorstep like "right, what's going on" and Tommy's just standing there dishevelled as hell, with a tissue hanging out one nostril because it won't stop fucking dripping, and he looks absolutely miserable, so Buck barrels in, ushers Tommy into bed and starts making him soup from the stuff he can find in Tommy's cupboards. And Tommy just lies in bed with a stuffy nose and a pounding headache, listening to muffled bangs and quiet swear words as Buck drops a pot on his toe, and realises that fuck, he could be falling in love with this guy. Buck comes in with a bowl of soup and spoon feeds it to Tommy, wiping the corners of his mouth with a napkin and kissing his nose after Tommy sneezes cause he finds it so cute the way it scrunches up, and when Tommy is done Buck pulls his head into his lap and brushes his fingers through Tommy's hair while he tells him about how first responders used to function before 9-1-1 was set up and Tommy slowly starts to fall asleep and for the first time in his life, he feels surrounded by love and feels cared for and seen and he doesn't hate being sick anymore because his Evan is here to take care of him and he vows that some day, he's going to marry that man.

She pulls it away, letting you throw up in the metal bucket beside you two. Praising and petting your hair throughout the whole thing. Vi would then pull you closer. “You’re gonna be okay. I won’t loose you like I lost all of them.”

I have a very vivid image in my head of Dazai at Chuuya's place. He's sitting on the floor and resting his head against the couch with his hand over Chuuya's wrist, knowing that his ability can't nullify the pain Chuuya's in from using Corruption but hoping there's a chance anyway, hoping he wakes up soon because it's been hours and he's really worried. Chuuya's so pale and covered in sweat and he's been throwing up for hours from how much pain he's in and he's so exhausted that he's finally asleep but the pain is still so evident on his unconscious features and Dazai can't bear to look at him until he's back to teasing and insulting him but Chuuya doesn't even remotely have it in him 😭

Husband gojo who got home early from his mission and was waiting for you to come home.

Husband gojo who opened the door the moment he heard a knock on it. He knew it is you.

Husband gojo who notices that something is wrong the moment he senses your curse energy.

Husband gojo who hugs you but you don’t quite return the hug back. Now he was sure something was wrong with you because you, not hugging him back? nu-uh that’s almost impossible.

Husband gojo who was now concerned, asked you “my kikufuku are you alright?”.

One sentence was all it took to break the dam.

The waterfall of the tears started running down you tired face. This kinda shocked him. Gojo felt awful seeing you like this.

He knows that you are stressed out because of all the constant missions and after all these tiring missions you came back home, exhausted and tired but still managed to prepare amazing food for him and did all the chores.

Those higher-ups were going to get an earful from gojo. He knows that you are one of the strongest sorcerers and all the difficult missions are appointed to you but hoarding up all the work on a single person is something he can’t tolerate. Specially if it is you.

Husband gojo who hugged you and slowly guided you to the floor. You were crying uncontrollably. Hearing your sobs was hurting his heart.

“Shh.. it is alright honey. Let it all out..” he was trying his best to comfort you. His hand rubbing your back soothingly to comfort you.

His shirt was wet with your tears. Not that he minded but the fact you were crying so much was making him feel awful for not noticing how stressed you were sooner.

After a bit, he took you to the couch so that you can get comfortable.

He was still hugging you and rubbing soothingly on your back, whispering sweet nothings to help you feel better.

Your sobs finally stopped after what like hours. “How long have you been feeling like this honey? Hmm?”

“A few days? Maybe..”

“My precious kikufuku, you should have told me….I-I would have tried to make you feel better”. His voice was really soft and soothing to your ears. But it was filled with worry.

“B-but I didn’t want to disturb you..” you answered him honestly. That is what you were thinking.

You know that Gojo Satoru is a busy man, he has better things to worry about rather than you being tired, it wasn’t a really bid deal, you were used to it.

You were debating about whether you should tell him or not, because you didn’t want him to worry about such small things.

“You can never disturb me, you know that? I am always here for you whenever you don’t feel alright, okay?” You hummed in response.

You were grateful to have such and amazing and supporting husband.

You knew that you could tell gojo about your mental health and how you you are feeling but you just couldn’t really express it in words.

“But you shouldn’t really worry about my mental health. You already have other things to worry about”. You were saying what has been on your mind and this is true. He already has so many things to worry about. The jujutsu world is quite depended on Gojo.

“You and your mental health are very important to me. More than anything else” this sentence had something you have always wanted to hear. You didn’t know that a simple sentence can make you feel comfortable.

As your sobbing has stopped, Gojo felt relieved that he was able to comfort you. He was about to get up and get you some water but he felt something grab his hand.

“Please don’t go”.

“I am not going anywhere love. I am just getting some water to hydrate you”. Gojo came with the glass of water as fast as he could. (And trust me it was really fast)

“Do you want to talk about it hun?” He asked you in hope that you might want to tell him something, so that he can help you with it.

You shook your head. You were not really sure if you could really talk about it just now.

“It’s alright. But if you ever want to talk about it, remember that I am always here alright?”

You nodded. Husband gojo planted a soft kiss on your forehead. His action making you smile.

Gojo knows that stress can be a lot sometimes. He does not want you to bear it all alone.
