The parallels between Tong and Ter are just getting to me, y'all.

It's about using people who love you and dangling a carrot in front of them to get them to help you through emotional manipulation and knowing that you're doing it.

It's about turning them down (heck, dating their sister) but still expecting them to do things for you and save the day when you can't because love is entirely conditional on your whims and your needs.

It's about flirting because you know he wants you to and smiling at him but always prioritizing the rest of the world in the end because he loves you but you don't love him and all you need is him on just enough string to dance.

It's about asking for a favor, telling him to help you, saying that this time it'll be what you truly need and it'll save you and it'll be the right thing this time, won't it, shouldn't he be happy for you?

It's about Dee growing more and more obsessed with the scholarship because Ter turned him down and then asked him for a favor at the same time and how much this need to win will hurt Yak in the end because he's struggling with his own sudden negative feelings towards love.

It's about how Ming is so damaged and toxic that he kidnapped Joe on Tong's whim and destroyed his future because the only love he understood or knew was Tong's damaging actions and choices and his own guilt over his sister's illness.

It's about using love like puppet strings for your own benefit and how it hurts the other person more than it hurts you, how it can damage so many people in the end and yet the strings keep those hurting hands clean and they never get blamed for the supposed choices of others that they orchestrated.

Dee and Ming has both carried love in their heart for men who could never appreciate them, could never love them, and what was done to them will now hurt the men that they can love because they're still clinging to the idea of love they first discovered rather than what is waiting for them, what is right in front of them.

And Yak and Joe will pay the price for what Ter and Tong have wrought on Dee and Ming.

guys maybe im going crazy and starting to overanalyse everything in arcane BUT LISTEN

one thing I kept noticing in s2ep7 (which I rewatched an insane amount of times) is how different powder's mimics are from jinx's

like even when her expressions are pretty calm and she's not smiling ear to ear she has SMILE LINES !!!! I've watched arcane a bunch of times and never noted out the same for jinx. yes we see her screaming/crying etc and her mimics are obviously expressive in those moments but when she's not experiencing some crazy shit her face is just kinda blank ??

a lot of people have already said how powder is taller, has different physics and healthier skin tone and I think her expressions is another thing that shows how much her and jinx's lives are not alike

she has a ton of reasons to smile every day while we've barely seen jinx do it :(((( powder is happy and it's literally marked on her face :((((

So funny Viktor chooses to present himself to Jayce as a white-golden robot (considering it is shown he could possess one of his followers) despite his representative colors being purple and blue (during s2 arc 1 and arc 2 and as the Herald Machine). But for the very specific purpose of convincing Jayce to join him, he's represented in the colors associated with Mel. Literally CATWALKING into the room, which is an action associated with Mel too

can we talk about how Tim meets himself as gun batman who's entire philosophy is that sometimes you have to take extreme measures and the only way to stop crime is to kill. And then literally a few months later Jason shows up and the red hood operates on the exact same philosophy but in a more morally ambiguous way (re: not being a facist dictator tyrant)
