Alright, how are we ghost shipping the other boys in the band in ThamePo? Are we waiting to see how they puppy pile or are we already picking pairs just based on the fifteen seconds of them existing on our screen?

So far they've kissed in a blanket fort and while playing truth or dare. I love them, they're so tiny and so young and so sweet.

My current D&D group has adopted a goblin named Boblin and a fat raccoon and my character tried to kill the goblin after it surrendered and would happily murder that raccoon without a second thought but is keeping all of those as inside thoughts because he knows better.

I am thinking a lot about the specifics of them faking the friendships in ThamePo's boyband while Thame actually cares and gets them personalized gifts that represent his knowledge and understanding of them while the fake gifts are generic and meaningless to everyone to the point that they can change their meaning on the fly just to make them work and how the group home is filled with their personal lives in such detail that everyone knows about them and yet how the group falling apart from the inside is completely hidden from these fans who practically count their freckles.

Which is truly real? What parts of the friendship are real at all? Who's the real one faking here and what does it mean for them to come back together as their dreams change? They all developed new dreams outside of the group that Thame clung to but when he moved to let them leave and follow their new dreams he is the one isolated from the group even though the group itself was technically failing long before that and losing money.

What is real, what is acting, what is propaganda, what is honesty when everything you do is scripted?

I really hope that this show touches on the fans not knowing the performers despite their extensive knowledge of what they're shown of them. I want to see that reality is not what is shown to people but something entirely separate.

(I wish Thame's private, personal gifts hadn't so perfectly fit the fan's ideas of the other band members but they had to for the narrative but imagine if his gifts had been something that not even the fans would know. Though that is the entire story of the group falling apart and Thame's pain, that he knows the rest of his bandmates in the same light that the fan do rather than the personal light he maybe should? Maybe?)

If they had just cut the diary scene I would genuinely love Fuma. He's got a lot of good points and the show really toned down Prapai's terrifying stalker era into aggressive pursuit from him which I can handle. But that diary scene. That damn diary scene. Every time, it's horrifying. He gets the keys to his apartment through nefarious means, breaks in, reads his diary and then refuses to stop even when the man he loves is sobbing and begging him not to do it. Every time! It's like a cosmic punishment to witness it twice and then witness the show just not give a fuck about it.

I loved fucked up relationship but not when they don't admit it, damnit. Stop making it all sunshine and roses when it took breaking and entering to a whole new level.

BUT, again, the Japanese version toned a lot of the other actions down enough that I won't called Fuma an abused the way I will Prapai. He made bad choices but they removed enough that I can at least handle their happy ending.

I am sitting down with Teenager Judge and begging them to give us some more sweetness and comfort and gentleness between Bach and Dat, please, I'm tired of Bach suffering and Dat wanting to comfort him and Bach being unable to accept being comforted because of his father and the judgement of the people around them.

I don't want eight more episode of this. I need them back together and protecting each other, please.

How is she out of the hospital and walking around already? That's... that's not how waking up from a coma like that works. At all. And she just... goes to walk back into her life and no one is going to tell her anything and they're all just going to assume that May won't notice anything different or like she didn't just forget months of their lives together randomly!?!?! WHAT IS THIS PLAN EVEN!? Is it even a plan!? It's not a plan!

But also, how far back does this memory loss go that she doesn't even remember May going blind or finding out that May loved someone before her (also the dumbest thing ever, just FYI)? Like, that's a lot of memory loss and not exactly the most short term because May has been blind for a while if her adjustments to being blind are any indication... the timeline here is very fuzzy, isn't it?

Just the idea that May would find the twins to be utterly interchangeable was frustrating to start with and only gets worse knowing that the only reason any of this is happening is because she refused to talk about the truth to them even when she knew she wanted to but also for the most pointless reason.

Lies, lies and more lies lead to this and why wouldn't Ai leave!? She was pretending to be her twin because she thought you loved her twin and then her twin WOKE UP and came back!? Like, again. AGAIN. THIS IS YOUR FAULT. You knew you wanted and needed to tell her and now here we are.

GOSH I WONDER WHY. There is no possible explanation. None. No one could possibly explain this. Not a single person could ever explain why she did that when, you know, she thought you loved her twin and her twin woke up from a coma still in love with you and she never thought you knew who she was.

They are al making this so much more complicated than it is by trying to explain it on so many more levels. Like... the lying? Maybe it's the lying!?

May pretending to still be completely sightless because she doesn't want to see Aioon she can see until she's sure they're in love and are seriously dating is... I hate it here. I hate it. The way she watched she come into the bedroom and then had to unfocus her eyes and turned her head and pretend she couldn't see any of it.

But then again we've also got the twins switching back soon so, I mean, I guess that lying is just never gonna end until everyone is literally forced to stop by someone outside of themselves.

Man, none of them have thought this through. May is gonna lie about her sight and the twins are gonna switch back and how is any of that gonna work out for anyone involved?

I hate how this show has set everything up to be about how Aioon was so, so loved by her sister and grandma and how all her feelings of abandonment and not mattering were just her being wrong. Like, it is my least favorite thing ever. The show starts with Grandma pulling the sister apart to comfort only one but the rest of the show is about how no no no no no Grandma loved them both EQUALLY Aioon was just too selfish and fucked up to recognize their love and listen to them. The show is literally rewriting their history and making them suddenly all better people who just wanted to support her!!!

Hate it. It's so frustrating because it doesn't make sense with anything else we were shown before this. Thinking of @poetry-protest-pornography as we enter the next level of rewriting family history.

GMMTV has such a strange relationship with the reality versus fantasy of branded pairs and how much of celebrities friendships and relationships are faked. Truly fascinating.
