(note: there was also minor foreshadowing here with the empty doll cupboard but i think that had more to do with kitagawa)

and the cut off after saying she needed to say something important was really suspicious like what did she say??

idk how this related but afterwards she became more focused and hardworking on her job(but also more rigid and firm in her beliefs) and kame tipped out her water instead of drinking it (because she became the opposite? more rebellious/defiant maybe? idk)

speaking to the medicine seller, she said she understood kitagawa’s feelings, which makes me think kitagawa also had a thing for her friend lol like there was absolutely something going on there if she(kitagawa) fell apart after her friend left

only mildly related but i believe karakasa’s next target was probably going to be kame and she was used as bait for it (as something a redditor* mentioned was asa may have sent kame away to protect her rather than the reason kitagawa did, OR lure out karakasa) edit: nvm i remembered wrong it was utayama i believe (due to perhaps resentment within the doll’s umbrella*) or asa (following the logic that awashima and mugitani were both the head housemaids(?) favoured by utayama before asa, although again the end goal was probably to attack utayama)

also when asa was addressing the other maids of the ooku before the birth celebratory ceremony and bowed, kame bowed but nobody else did (which means they didn’t respect asa)

then kame got mad and showed her support for her girl like hell yeah 👏 and asa gained more confidence which i think was sweet

oh and asa was also like “the thing that kept me grounded was lady kame” 🥹🥹

she also said (acc. to netflix subs) “And yet, I yearned for nothing more than to share meals with Kame. And spend countless nights just staying up late, giggling and talking to her.” SHE SOUNDED SO LOVESICK 💔

anyways i think it mayyy not have been requited on kame’s side, at least canonically, but I have literally zero doubt asa was in love with her. then again homophobes and censorship. uh. it’s alright i ship them very hard either way i need more lesbians in my life hehe.

Maybe the reason why yotsuba Light and pre-kira Light is so vastly different in personality (he's more 'genuine' that is) is because yotsuba Light had L that kept him from feeling that mind-numbing boredom that pre-kira Light experienced prior to getting the death note.

Pre-kira Light literally had nothing to keep him entertained and that he was too powerless to change the broken justice system, so he's more closed-off and serious, literally just living through the motions like a dead man.

On the other hand, yotsuba Light met someone who's not just on par with his intelligence, but also one insufferable enough to annoy him that never made any dull moment possible with L around. Aside from that, yotsuba Light is literally working alongside the world's greatest detective helping him solve the world's hardest case that involved the justice system, so yeah, yotsuba Light really will take L's side of "justice" because detective L is legal whereas Kira's actions are not.

I’ve seen some people suggest the idea of TF One Starscream and Megatronus Prime having been a couple, and while I’m not entirely sure whether I ship it (the potential skystar here has a grip on me), I will say the sheer comedy of the situation makes me strongly consider it

But also in some seriousness, I do like the idea with how it relates to Megatron. I remember some months ago someone having a ficlet on here with this ship, where basically Starscream feels like he has to be responsible for and protect Megatron because he failed Megatronus, and because he sees Megatron sort of like a son they never had (or at least I think, it’s been a while since I read it and I don’t know how to find it again), and I like that idea. It’s interesting and also works with the concept that this Starscream is significantly older than Megatron

i realize this looks finished, but technically i'm still deciding whether to add a background or not lol. still, for the sake of sharing a proper WIP, here's a line or two from an araleyn brainworm WIP that i started reworking yesterday (mild tw for religious guilt and period-typical internalized homophobia from aragon's pov):

She remembers sharing her bed with Anne at Henry's behest, remembers the nights of tossing and turning and trying not to think about Anne asleep next to her-- remembers waking up to dark hair spilling across her pillow and the press of blood-warm bosoms against her own, softer than sin, as hot as the Devil, remembers lying still as death, mouthing prayers into the heat of Anne's neck like an act of penance.

After the bathroom Lawrence and Scott seek each other out, they're the only people in the world who knew Adam the way they did and it'd be a disservice to his memory for them not to. Maybe Scott cleans up, or Lawrence learns to handle the mess, maybe Lawrence can't stand it still, but doesn't mention Scott's mess anyways. However it happens, they get used to each other, Scott handles fluorescent lights and the near constant onslaught of hospital staff popping in just to have lunch with Larry. Larry stomachs the smell that comes along with Scott's shows, he never has to be invited, he's always just there, camera in hand, smile on his face. The photos he takes aren't particularly good, but Scott appreciates the gesture, the few seconds Adam is there when he catches a glimpse of the lense. Lawrence begins to stink of developer, it's heavy and consumes everyone who comes into contact with it, sometimes Scott curls up against him, the smell envelopes him, fries his nose hairs off and feels like home.

Lawrence continues to work late, and Scott meets him in the parking lot after his shift, always. Scott drives them home, no matter how much Larry swears he wants to work this much he's always too tired after work, in the shower later he'll sit on the side of the tub and let Scott take care of him. He'll use him as a crutch back to their room because his stump just cannot take anymore time in his prosthetic and he'll fall asleep before his pajamas are even on. He'll wake up dressed in them anyways, roll onto or off of Scott and apologize for the trouble he caused the night before, Scott won't let him, he'll kiss Lawrence and when the doctor tells him how gross it is he'll lick the leftover drool off his face before returning for a second kiss. Lawrence would never let Scott apologize for needing him, so why would Scott start letting Lawrence?

Scott is not a cook, when Larry is working he orders pizzas and picks up fast food, as soon as Larry realizes this he is determined to teach Scott. No matter how often Scott complains, everyday Lawrence has off is spent on their feet in the kitchen. Larry isn't the greatest cook either, and their food doesn't always taste good but they have fun, they dance around the kitchen together and try to cook things they surely aren't ready to cook. Scott taste tests every ingredient, reminding Lawrence that he's just doing poison control when he starts making that face. Scott doesn't cook alone, sure he'll burn the house down without Lawrence's supervision, but the more they practice the more often they have leftovers for him to eat. The days Lawrence doesn't work late often end with the duo on their couch, their kitchen a mess (that won't be there when Scott wakes up – Lawrence will wake up early to do dishes), and their bellies full of something quite honestly mediocre, but they'll both eat seconds and it'll be gone when Larry's home tomorrow, Scott will be convinced it's the best thing they've ever cooked just like he is with everything they've ever cooked.
