Shorter Wong headcanons, because he simply won't leave my mind and these wild thots keep on repeating on loop in my head

- He finds tank tops very sexy. If his partner is wearing one, specially a basic black or WHITE (read: transparent) one, granted he'll be all over them during the day. All handsy and touchy

- He's the type of friend to steal your fries, but at the same time, give you a full meal on the house if you're short on money

- On that note, he def feeds the stray children and those with difficult situations around Chinatown, with his sister ofc.

- Doesn't particularly like coffee, he drinks it just out of necessity

- Likes to act like a playboy, but he's definitely very emotional and in touch with his feelings, so he wants something serious some day.

- At the same time, scared of official commitment because it could be dangerous for their partner, because of his position with gangs

- LOVES KNIVES ?). He started to cook when he was little because he was simply fascinated with knives, and to this day, he's learned many... Different uses for them.

Shorter headcanons, please?

Oh, I forgot to add Banana Fish to my guidelines!

Shorter is eighteen going on nineteen and almost 6'3". According to New York State DMV, you must be eighteen in order to apply for motorcyclist license.

He is bisexual, biromantic and throughout the Banana Fish universe he had feelings for Ash.

After they met in Juvy, they used to be an item. I will not get into that since at the time they were below 18.

Before the events of the 2018 (?) anime, he grew his hair out. He shaved it while serving his sentence.

Shorter does not push people into anything, because he in turn had been forced in the past.

He prefers Pepsi Cola over Cocoa Cola. Take-Out usually comes with a Pepsi cola bottle anyway.

As soon as he got his license, he applied for a motorcyclist license.

While he loves Ash, the guy can get on his nerves. He sometimes does not answer the phone when he calls.

Dude has a New Yorker accent, with a slight Cantonese accent. His first language was Cantonese.

I'm here again to asking for another one. So can I please request CG headcanons for Shorter Wong (Banana Fish). I like to see him as a big brother instead of a dada, so yep.

•Shorter embodies the classic protective big brother role, always keeping a close watch over those he cares about. He has a natural instinct to shield his loved ones from danger, whether it’s street trouble or emotional distress. He’s fiercely loyal and will put himself in harm’s way if it means keeping others safe

•Growing up on the streets, Shorter teaches practical survival skills, how to stay alert, avoid trouble, and defend yourself if necessary. He’s all about street smarts and often gives blunt advice, but it’s always delivered with a sense of humor to keep things light !

•Despite his tough exterior, Shorter has a big heart and knows how to comfort without being overbearing. When someone he cares about is upset, he’ll offer comfort in subtle ways like a reassuring pat on the shoulder, cracking a joke to lighten the mood, or simply being present without prying

i actually hate that the anime moved the bfish setting to the 2010s because instead of having cool sexy homoerotic smoking scenes it becomes much more accurate for ash & co to be vaping. aint nothing cool or sexy about vaping because at least with cigarettes u can have sexy aesthetics despite the lung cancer. what does mango loco punch flavored metal give u other than a collapsed lung?

hi egg anon 👋 I'm terrible at headcanons so bear with me

Ash -- yeah I'm projecting but gray. Something about finding the in-between of two extremes. Something about seeing the world in grayscale. Something about burning too bright and fading out. You know the drill. I've already gone into it here.

Eiji -- He thought nothing could compare to the blue of the waters near his hometown (a sort of real blue that a lot of people think water only looks like in movies) until he saw the green of Ash's eyes. His favorite color changed in an instant. As soon as he learned the truth behind the jade earring Ash sold so easily, though, Eiji silently vowed to never tell Ash what his favorite color was. It comes up in passing one day, though; just a 'oh, the same color as my eyes' when Eiji picks his display color in a video game. Eiji flushes down to his chest and up to his ears, and Ash smirks. 'Oh,' he says again, playfully this time, 'the same color as my eyes.' Eiji pleads with Ash not to be upset, but says he understands if Ash is. Ash, on the other hand, thinks it's the cutest thing in the world, and makes a point of teasing Eiji about it regularly.

Shorter -- He actually changed his hair color pretty regularly for a long time! His natural hair is black, so he has to bleach it to get it the vibrant shades he wants. He was in the habit of redyeing it every time it became too faded. This all changed the first time Ash helped him dye his hair. Ash was shitty at it compared to Nadia (he'd never done anything with hair dye before; Dino would kill him if he ever touched the stuff), so it got absolutely everywhere. The sink, the shower curtain, Ash's hands: everything was stained with purple for weeks. Ash played off the dark purple staining his skin as bruises when asked, and no one looked into it too hard. He wanted to keep helping Shorter, and he wanted to keep that excuse, so he told Shorter that he liked his hair purple the best, secretly hoping that he'd stick with the color and Ash would keep helping. (He'd never tell Shorter why he needed it to be purple; he'd never tell Shorter that he needed it to be purple.) With time, Shorter couldn't see his hair as any other color. When the roots started to grow out, he feels too much like life before Ash. Like life without Ash. He asks Ash to touch up his roots at least once a month. Purple is his favorite color.

Sing -- Pink. It's a bit of a leftover from his hyperfeminine overcompensation before he came out as a trans man, and he's a little ashamed to admit it. He worries that his guys would doubt his leadership and masculinity if they knew, so he settles for little splashes of pink here and there. The bottom of his shoes is one example. Everyone, of course, knows, and would never think any different of him for it. He's the same boss they've known forever, the scrawny kid they grew up with who took charge when no one else was able to step up to defend Chinatown, and his favorite color is badass as fuck. Anyone who says otherwise can answer to the entirety of the Chinatown gang.

I welcome any and all identity headcanons except if you make gay characters straight. I often headcanon characters as trans myself.

I am open to ship suggestions, I will tell you if it makes me uncomfortable but if you suggest an obviously problematic ship I will simply block you.

I prefer long responses, but I will try my best to match whatever length you use.

I will not play abusive characters if they are a main character. If they're a side character that is fine, but if they are a main character I won't do it.

I do not have triggers but if you're going to include something that could be triggering please warn me first, it makes me uncomfortable when those kinds of things are suddenly sprung on me.

If you do not follow these rules you will be given a max of three warnings before I will just block you and/or stop replying.
