listen I expected literally Nothing from the D&D movie okay, like I can't make it clear enough that I expected the most soulless money grab with a good cgi budget imaginable, I went in having already gone through every stage of grief and landed on acceptance and LISTEN

I fucking CRIED during this dumb RPG movie. it wasn't just "not terrible" it was objectively good with a clever plot and compelling characters and sincere emotional beats. this movie loves D&D so fucking much and it NAILS the "a bunch of goobers try to be cool and accidentally discover The Power Of Friendship And Also Great Violence" classic D&D party vibe. their barbarian's last name is fucking Kilgore and my entire family cried in the theater.

I hope they make twelve of these motherfuckers.

I saw someone somewhere saying that it was impossible to make an attractive male githyanki in BG3, so I decided to try it for myself. I only meant to open the character creator, but I accidentally got attached, and now I'm having fun watching all the tieflings in the grove react with abject horror at my approach.

His name is Vanic, which I got from the fantasy names generator page for githyanki. It's cute because it rhymes with manic and panic, both of which are things he is prone to. He gets into disagreements with Lae'zel a lot because she wants to be gruff and mean, but he has fun telling the tiefling children he's a swamp elf or asking refugees what cats are instead of looking for the crèche.

Concepts of tabaxi barbarian from Chult, who's great-auncle (my once an archfey warlock Caramel) became an archfey and gifted their descendants with some fey magic as a treat. And for shits and giggles too. But they are especialy found of their's older sister's grandkid.

And later realization of what said archfey great-auncle is paralleling so much things from my khajiit HoK, Muraba. I love some butterfly themed madcats….

Did I ever mention that I redesigned my consistently courageous crusader? Because I did! She has a much cleaner look now, and I’m super proud of it!

Hopefully this means I’ll draw her some more? Or at least show off my finished redesigns for the rest of her crew since I still really love their story even if I haven’t worked on it in a little while

Scheduling this post for morning so no one knows how shamefully late I stayed up playing bg3 but I just needed the world to know that I literally jumped off a cliff and took 31 points of fall damage to get to karlach as quickly as possible and I met her and I’m in love and we are going to get married

Picked up BG3 on my main run after a long while not playing it (I stopped during the beginning of act 3 bc I was overwhelmed by the sheer quantity omfg) and I just finished a BIG step in Shadowheart's quest and I'm.... so emotional ;;;;;;;;; I cradle her in my arms and give her the biggest hug ever
