Underrated Sports Anime Recommendations!
In honor of the summer Olympics, I wanted to make a rec list for some underappreciated sports anime. Obviously we all know the popular stuff: Blue Lock, Kuroko, Hajime no Ippo, Ace of Diamond, Slam Dunk, Haikyuu, Free, Yuri On Ice, Yowamushi Pedal, Skate the Infinity etc. But there are lots of great sports anime out there that go completely unnoticed. And who knows, you might find a new sport to get into. Just FYI, these are all on the newer side, since most of the older sports anime I’ve seen are the popular ones.
I think a big reason that a lot of these have largely gone ignored is because they focus more on interpersonal drama between characters and what is going on in their home lives, as opposed to a bigger focus on the technicalities of the sport itself. Food for thought. Anyway, let's get started:
Stars Align (Hoshiai no Sora): Stars Align is about a boys high school soft tennis team (not to be confused with regular tennis) who are constantly getting out performed by their girls team. Desperate to get people to take the boys team seriously and get results, team captain Touma tries to get a new transfer student Maki Katsuragi to join. Maki eventually agrees ... .on the condition that Touma pays him and covers any club expenses. From there we discover the messy family drama going on in each boy’s life, and I just love all of them okay? They’re my precious angel babies, and sure I had some problems with the show’s pacing at the end, but I still love them and I want another season!!!! 😭
Oblivion Battery (Boukyaku Battery): There are a myriad of baseball animes out there, but this one made an impression on me. Catcher Kaname Kei and pitcher Kiyomine Haruka are a badass, ace duo who dominated the field and made a fearsome reputation for themselves all throughout middle school. They seemed to be completely unstoppable…until Kaname (the brains behind the operation) lost his memory, became a total goofball, and the two ended up going to a no name high school with no real baseball team. So of course, we end up getting a rag-tag team together full of ex-baseball players with dramatic backstories who all help train Kaname up again. I love Kaname and Haru’s friendship, and the cast was very well rounded, each with their own interesting attributes to add to the team.
Re: Main: If I had a nickel for every sports anime where the main character used to be an unstoppable badass until he lost his memory, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice. Yeah, it’s exactly the same as Oblivion Battery, but with water polo and the main character isn’t as much of a goofball. I liked the characters, but I wished we focused a little more on the water polo side of things, since it’s not exactly a dime a dozen sport for an anime.
Mou Ippon: A girls high school judo anime from 2023 that nobody fucking watched! When former judo enthusiast Michi Sonoda enters high school, she wants to put judo behind her so she can focus on finding a boyfriend and enjoying her school life. However, after Michi suffers a particularly humiliating defeat in a match against the prodigy Towa Hiura, the two end up going to the same high school together. Naturally, Michi can’t just quit now that her rival is going to the same school! Cue the judo team shenanigans. This show is so down to earth and realistic. It’s 100% not a “cute girls doing cute things” anime where the girls are all blobs of moe that talk in annoying voices. They have different body types, different motivations, and different styles of combat. It didn’t blow me out of the water, but I liked it way more than I thought I would.
And speaking of different body types…
Hinomaru Sumo: That’s right, it’s a high school sumo wrestling anime. AND IT’S HYPE AS FUCK! You know how in Haikyuu, Hinata is short, and it’s a big deal because middle blockers are always tall? Well this is that multiplied by a thousand, because there’s a minimum weight to sumo wrestling, and our main character Hinomaru Ushio is definitely below it. But he’s not going to let that stop him from spreading his passion for sumo and becoming the High School Yokozuna, the strongest wrestler in high school tournaments…because becoming the Yokozuna is his only chance at going pro with his small stature. It’s impossible to watch this anime without feeling fired up!
Run With The Wind (Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru): Kakeru Kurahara, a former track star, is looking for a place to live after losing his apartment deposit at a mahjong parlor. Luckily, he runs into Haiji Kiyose, a boy who goes to his university, who offers him a spot at his apartment. Little does Kakeru know, Haiji’s apartment is full of other university students who are all members of the Kansei University track team! The story follows the quietly devious Haiji as he tries to get the boys to become a nationally recognized team by running the Hakone Ekiden, an extremely long and grueling relay that none of the boys have ever trained for. This is one of my favorite sports anime ever. Don’t get it twisted, I hate running. I don’t like doing it, and I don’t like watching it in real life, but this anime had me in a chokehold. Animation? Amazing. Characters? A+. Music? Perfect. It’s hilarious. It’s relatable. It’s heartwarming. One of the absolute best sports anime out there.
Welcome To The Ballroom: It’s a motherfucking ballroom dancing anime, and if you didn’t think ballroom dancing could be hype as shit, THINK AGAIN! The animation is great, and I never realized how much actually goes into the world of ballroom dancing. There’s not really much more I can say. High school boy discovers the cutthroat world of competitive ballroom dance. Drama ensues. Just ignore everyone’s oddly long necks.
And speaking of dancing…
Dance Dance Danseur: Okay, this one isn’t quite in a sports competition setting, but I still consider it a sports anime. All his life, Junpei Murao has suppressed his interest in ballet, choosing to follow his father’s path for him in the more “manly” martial art of Jeet Kune Do instead. But when he realizes the girl he likes is a highly skilled ballerina, he hardly says no when she recruits him to train at her mom’s ballet studio. The show follows Junpei as he must balance these two worlds and become a ballet master while dealing with the divisive image of “masculinity.” My only real critique is that Junpei is kind of annoying, and I was actually much more invested in the other characters. There is a big message about the horrors of the competitive ballet world that I didn't think it would dive into.
Overtake: Another show from 2023 that was terribly overlooked. In this anime, we follow disgraced photographer Kouya Madoka, who falls in love with the fast paced world of Formula 4 racing after watching high schooler Asahina Haruka. However, Madoka failed to realize that Haruka’s racing crew, Komaki Motors, is drowning in bills and underfunded as hell. So of course when he finds out, Madoka takes it upon himself to support Komaki Motors himself and get Haruka a place on the podium. This was such a great drama! Each character is so fleshed out and completely relatable. Even the antagonists! Hell, especially the antagonists. There is a great balance of drama and humor that make this feel like it could easily be a Hollywood movie. The longer you watch, the more you root for Komaki Motors and want to see everyone succeed. Madoka is best boy!
And last but certainly not least…
Tsurune: In this anime, we follow Minato Narumiya, a former kyudo (Japanese martial art that involves archery) prodigy who wanted to quit the sport after an incident in a middle school tournament. However, after encountering a mysterious archer one day, Minato ends up joining his high school Kyudo team, despite his fear of failing at the sport again. It’s Free with archery, except there are also girls on the team! It has so many good themes about perseverance and found family and getting in your own head. And there is a massive amount of homosexual undertones. Not to mention it’s made by Kyoto Animation, so you know it’s one of the most beautifully animated shows I’ve ever seen.
I just wanted to add a few honorable mentions too…
Cheer Danshi: A university boys cheerleading anime. I had problems with the pacing, but I still had fun with it.
Ryman’s Club: An odd blend of office anime with a badminton anime. I really liked this, but it’s sort of half sports anime, half The Office. But it’s the only thing on this list that features actual working adults and not students.
Megalo Box: I don’t know if it counts as “underappreciated” but this was a fantastic show all around. It’s a gritty, down to earth, sort of sci-fi take on the fictional sport of Megalo Boxing (boxing with enhanced mechanical arms).
Ping Pong the Animation: Look, I’m going to be honest. I didn’t really like this show very much, but apparently I’m the odd one out because this is an underground favorite of the sports anime community, and I’d be remiss if I didn’t include it. It’s one part ping pong, two parts character drama.
Birdie Wing: Golf Girls’ Story: I couldn’t leave this out of the list. It’s the wildest golf anime you could ever imagine. There are lesbians. There are snake ladies. There are underground golfing yakuza. No amount of explanation can do it justice. Grab an age appropriate beverage and watch it.

(NOTE: As long as you truly respect them, I am 100% comfortable with sharing ANY AND ALL of my romantic & platonic F/Os!!!)
My F/O lists may change over time.
💖 (One and Only) Romantic F/O 💖
My one and only romantic F/O is Petal, one of the 16 (!) main characters of Kitty Is Not a Cat, an obscure Australian cartoon that aired from 2018 to 2020.
The show centers around the adventures and experiences of a human orphan girl named Kitty, who really wants to be a cat. One day, she encounters a mansion where 15 talking, musical cats live. Initially reluctant, the cats eventually agree to take care of her and accept her as one of their own. It is a very wholesome and underrated show, and I highly recommend thar you check it out!
But enough about the show, let’s talk about Petal!
Petal is a cat (of no specific breed) with purplish gray fur, including dark “chest fur.” She also wears a black collar.
Petal is considered the “mother” of the cats; she is protective of them and loves looking after everyone, especially Kitty. Petal is also very kind, caring, and enthusiastic to a fault…so much so that the other cats have gotten annoyed at her sometimes. Despite her kind and gentle nature, she knows when enough is enough, and is willing to put her foot down if it means justice.
Petal’s motherly nature makes her quite intelligent for a cat. But she still has done some pretty derpy things at times. For example, there was one episode in which she confused a play Kitty put on as fact instead of fiction, and she joined the other cats in searching for buried treasure outside the mansion. In another episode (and one of my personal favorite ones), Kitty built a big plastic playhouse outside the mansion, and Petal and the other cats got the idea that she was moving out. This made her and the other cats very sad, and they in turn “visited” her in an absolutely hilarious sequence of events.
And yet, despite not fully understanding things sometimes (in particular, human culture and behavior), she does her absolute best to be as kind and respectful about them as possible. This kind of support is exactly what I need in life.
And this is our ship!
(This commission was done by @/sheepie-self-ships!)
Our ship name is AltMetal! Every post about this ship, whether it is an art or writing piece, will be tagged with this.
There’s not really much more to say here, other than the fact that I love her so goddamn much. If you want more content of this selfship, follow this blog, which includes gushes and whatnot!
Queerplatonic F/Os
Petal is my only romantic F/O, but I also have a handful of queerplatonic F/Os. Even though they’re not romantic, I still very much care for them. They are:
Adam (Hazbin Hotel)
Jax (The Amazing Digital Circus)
Meow Skulls (Fortnite)
Sallie May (Helluva Boss)
Familial F/Os
I also have 6 familial F/Os. They are:
Kirby (Kirby series) - Son
Tito (Trivia Crack / Triviatopia, but esp. the latter) - Son
Haru (Beastars) - Daughter
Mandy (The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy) - Daughter
Toriel (Undertale) - Mother
Asriel Dreemurr (Undertale) - Brother
Platonic F/Os
Lastly, I have several platonic F/Os. They are:
Angel Dust (Hazbin Hotel)
Ankha (Animal Crossing)
Barbie Wire (Helluva Boss)
Cheeta (Kitty Is Not a Cat)
Foghorn Leghorn (Looney Tunes)
Ginsburg (Kitty Is Not a Cat)
Grim (The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy)
Happy (Kitty Is Not a Cat)
All of I.M.P. (Helluva Boss)
Jean Pierre Polnareff (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure)
Johnny Cage (Mortal Kombat, esp. his MK1 incarnation)
Part 3 Joseph Joestar (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure)
Legoshi (Beastars)
Miley (Kitty Is Not a Cat)
Ming (Kitty Is Not a Cat)
The Nazz (Kitty Is Not a Cat)
Noriaki Kakyoin (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure)
Schnitzel (Chowder)
Sidon (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)
Sir Pentious (Hazbin Hotel)
Spook (Kitty Is Not a Cat)
Starlo (Undertale Yellow)
Thorn (Kitty Is Not a Cat)
And that’s pretty much it for this post! Hope to see y’all around in the future!
(NOTE: I will use this image below instead of DNI tags from now on as a way to not clutter the tags. Since this is my first DNI list, this probably won’t be a permanent image, as it may change over time. To keep myself safe from proshitters, I will put “proshippers DNI” at the end of my posts.)
Proship/comship DNI.

Brace yourselves, a long rant
Rhaena’s S2 characterization
Baela’s S2 character moment changes
I’m gonna be sooo disappointed if Rhaena’s set up with Daemon not being a good father to her is not expanded in S2 and then her moving to hatch Morning. I already said in multiple post she did have dialogue and it was just ignored by fans. Her claiming vermithor to me is not good writing but luckily that’s not gonna happen. If they want her interacting with Vermithor an attempted claim would be interesting, but that is not her dragon and totally ruins Morning and her connection with Daenerys. One of the theories I had was her having a fear of dragons because of Vhagar burning Laena and while she’s in the Vale she becomes more confident in herself and overcomes her fear, but Daemon is dead before he gets a chance to see that evolution in her. They seem to be dismissing Rhaena’s lack of dragon and just letting fans go without an answer why she still doesn’t have a dragon. Which is gonna be annoying with people making up their own theories or just calling her weak and stupid like they already were. 🙄
And the issue is that goes against the set up they already built for her with the young Aemond parallels, her wanting to claim Vhagar which is not in the book, and her talking to Laena about feeling less than Baela being favored by Daemon. The camera cutting to her in ep.10 and the script saying that scene she feels bad about because she’s supposed to be the “rider” for “riderless” dragons Daemon is referring to. A lot of people want the entire storyline for their favs switched up to give them more screentime and say they’re more important during the dance, but I don’t want that for Rhaena because she’s interesting already and an underrated book character even with the little she gets. That’s why I purposely have post separating her character from Baela and letting them be individuals and not just “those sisters” or “Daemon and Laena’s daughters.”
The characters don’t need to be changed, they need to be expanded on and allowed to be human. She already has a decent foundation accidentally or on purpose 😂 I love the idea of them incorporating Rhaena politically. This actually makes sense and doesn’t change anything from the book, because if Rhaena is devoted to team Black or believes helping makes her safer from the greens then of course she would try to be helpful to the cause even from the Vale and dragonless. Book canon she thinks Aemond is a psycho running around mass murdering and has no problem kinslaying and taking out eyes. I hope they go the Rhaenys route with Rhaena and make it a self preservation thing or attempting to create peace. We already have characters like Jace that are just understandably there to support the team no matter what so it would be nice to have a variety of reasons why other people are doing what they’re doing. Rhaena thinks the greens want her and her sister harmed and dead so she’s compelled to actively advocate for team black is better than her just cheerleading for team black while having almost no interactions with them and they’ve done nothing for her. The set up for Game of Thrones universe to be political and almost everyone does what’s in their best interest vs House of the Dragon every decision is emotional because family and no one is playing the game is not something I like. Such a downgrade in writing and character motivations. Sorry I know Daemon is her dad but they have a strained relationship 😂 I can only honestly see her making emotional decisions for Baela, Rhaenys, younger baby characters since she’s nurturing to them. But she’s not their mother and I don’t want them making her a nanny. Another reason I’m glad she isn’t a dreamer like some people wanted her to be. I want Rhaena to be present with what’s going on for deeper interactions with other characters. If they choose to go the route of engaging with fan theories like Margaery being her descendent they can incorporate some show!Margaery parallels or call backs as long as it makes sense. Because Rhaena has so many parallels and connections to other characters like Daenerys and Sansa there’s so much they can do with her that makes sense, isn’t forced, and without changing anything from how she’s written about in the book. Rhaena can be such a diplomatic character if they take time and energy to put into her arc. She is the most reasonable character, she’s down to marry a Hightower after everything that happens. I love that in the kid fight scene she’s the one who yells at Jace after he pulled the knife out and then shakes her head at Aemond to not hit Jace with the rock. They can really use that and her difference in personality from Daemon at the Vale when/if she interacts with Gerold Royce whom Daemon threatened and totally pissed off and they just moved on like that didn’t happen.
Now this guy probably hates Targaryens 😭
Baela
I do have a concern about Mary Sue characterization of Baela because I already know someone will try to make this into an issue to hate on her. I have a problem with “fans” of Baela cheering that characterization on. Idk seems like some people are totally lacking awareness or intentionally trying to set Bethany and her character up for backlash and to be disliked. An extra fight scene with her would be amazing and I would like to see that but they shouldn’t just throw her character in a fight or a controversial scene like they did making one up Rhaenys just for shock value.
If they’re gonna make Baela a killer early on and shooting people with arrows and training with Dark Sister, they probably shouldn’t have had her acting shocked/scared at Daemon cutting off Vaemond’s head and she should’ve had less of a reaction like Aegon. Idk if they go the fighting route I think Baela should atleast have something similar to Aemond where’s there’s a shock from him killing for the first time and it sets in that this is the first time they’ve been to war and in a super violent situation like this. They aren’t the same as Daemon & Criston that’s already been around violence. Having her go to war killing just totally emotionless to seem badass in S2 is not going to be perceived well. I’ve said this a million times, Baela is a good person, Daemon is not a good person. So Baela being “cool” like Daemon a little is fine because they do have some similarities in personality, but she can’t literally start acting like Daemon like fans claim because then she would be a piece of shit which causes an issue with how other good characters interact with her. Also no one is going to convince me that Laena created a piece of shit daughter 😂 Like sorry Baela and Rhaena cannot blindly co-sign and cheer on everything Daemon or anyone else does because then that’s a bad reflection on their own morals which is more Laena and Rhaenys, less Daemon. Unless the show wants to make it clear they aren’t in a position to question anything like Viserys threatening to cut tongues off for questioning Jace’s parentage right in front of them. For Rhaena especially growing up right by Harwin’s sons probably hearing all the threats for that “treason” I mean there’s a reason she would just be quiet she’s been 10 years really not able to say anything.
But anywho back to Baela I think I actually made a post about this last year and modern producers always do this with young female characters and it’s so bizarre. Trying to create the “perfect” character that has no issues, and is automatically loved by any and everyone, and the contrarian fans start hating on them and writing thinkpieces about how boring they are and the writing makes no sense. And tbh it’s very young fans that tend to cheer on bad or wattpad-esque writing like we’ve seen already from forced character relationships in S1 and relationships people want to happen in S2. It tends to be older fans that critic the show heavily. I’m gonna be very annoyed if Baela gets any hate. Bethany is a great actress and Baela is not a hatable character whatsoever so it’ll be irritating if the showrunners even give those people a reason to complain and nitpick. I don’t mean Baela needs constant drama in her life to be interesting. Baela has wayyy less going on than Arya and I find her more interesting than Arya but the writing has to make sense and not creating questions and plot holes. I hope there’s no sabotage and limiting the actresses opportunities. People have to understand the characters they’re supporting are fictional but the actresses are real, it’s their real career. I used to act and I’m sure especially for a big project like this, more (acting) emotional diversity and range of scenes >> more opportunity to show off acting chops >> more fans >> more opportunities for their upcoming projects
It’s seems like she’s been set up with intentional lackluster writing in S1 but hopefully that’s not the case and S2 the writers will redeem themselves. Having Rhaena and Baela there just smiling, nodding, and saying they support team black is just soooo…..disrespectful to Phoebe and Bethany. Especially when they’ve already added so much to other characters so they are capable of doing it but choosing not to for them. Bethany and Phoebe are young up and coming actresses happy for the opportunity so they can’t and won’t say anything other than they’re happy to be there. Also I’m pretty sure it’s against their contract to publicly disagree with the writers so people who take the actresses nodding their heads or repeating interview lines they were told to say as genuine approval should possibly rethink that. Most of the characters have horrible show writing tbh, and we’ve already seen backlash for this. Most of the characters they changed from the book created plot holes or people just questioning how things don’t make sense. A show with this level of budget and fans should not be having these issues. S1 really made it seem like they just don’t GAF 😂😂 I find it so hard to believe GRRM was apart of that. S2 better not let me down and don’t even get me started on Nettles erasure.

Sure! When you have time I would love it if you any interactions between Saguru and any of the Gosho girls. It doesn't have to be shipped or whatever, but it's just because I've read so many of his interactions with the Gosho boys and I feel like the girls are underrated in that sense. I love crack and I love Saguru and I adore your writing and edits :)
Hey anon from 2018, lmao. You're right, there really do need to be more interactions between Saguru and the girls. I have a WIP I started recently that I feel really shows Aoko's acuity. It's not crack, but instead a tense interaction between two friends.
Eventually this'll make its way to AO3, but for now, here it is:
--
“So, Saguru-kun…”
Saguru finds himself bracing. Aoko has seemed to be in a strange mood the entire evening. He’d almost wondered if she was irritated with him at first, or maybe just more disappointed about Kuroba’s last-minute cancellation than she wanted to let on. But their plans had gone as expected otherwise; they studied, watched a show Aoko had been excited to show him over some reheated leftovers, all without incident. Now they’d settled in the living room, occupying themselves with their own activities.
But now, as casual as she was trying to seem, Saguru detected an underlying tension.
“Yes, Aoko-san?” He kept his eyes on his book.
“Did you know that Aoko’s dad thought Kaito was KID once?”
Saguru’s entire train of thought stuttered to a halt. Every thought vanished — and then his mind raced with questions. For what reason was she bringing this up? What kind of reaction was she expecting?
Her gaze was drilling into him, he could tell. She hadn’t turned away from her video game, but she had to be concentrating on him in her periphery. The sensation of it raised the hair on the back of his neck..
He turned the page, but wasn’t reading anymore.
“Did he? I’ve never heard anything about that,” Saguru said mildly. His heart rate was elevated. He focused on breathing normally.
“Yeah!” Aoko said, and she said it with a giggle. A feint. “He told me that and I thought it was so strange. Sure, he’s obnoxious, but he’s not stupid Kaitou KID.”
It was best to leave space in the conversation. He didn’t say anything, waiting for Aoko to continue.
“Anyway, Dad got a look at him at one heist, and he was sure he looked like Kaito. So to prove him wrong, I asked Kaito on a date!”
“A date?”
“Yep! I mean, thinking back that was pretty silly, but it got him to come. But isn’t that so weird? That he’d even think for a second that Kaito was KID?”
She sounded so cheery. The version of herself she put on in class when she was getting along with everybody. Masking away her acute intelligence and calculations. He used to think she wore her feelings on her sleeve - and to an extent she did. But these days he knew that there was plenty she kept under wraps. She and Kuroba were truly quite the pair.
“It does seem like a strange conclusion for the inspector to come to.” He tried to keep his voice neutral as he could. “How did the date go?”
Aoko stuck her tongue out, and for the moment turned her eyes back toward the screen, organizing her character’s inventory. “Oh, you know. Bakaito. He was his normal annoying self, but he showed up on time. We met up at Tropical Land and had a lot of fun! We saw a 3D movie and everything.” She paused, then added, “Actually, I even handcuffed us together. Which was probably overkill, honestly.”
Great minds think alike.
“And the heist?” Saguru asked.
“Oh, the heist still happened. And Kaito was with me the whole time.”
“Well, I imagine that remedied the inspector’s suspicions?”
“Yeah. Dad never said anything about it again.”
The conversation lulled into silence, but the tension in the room was palpable.
“It’s just weird. That’s the only time Dad has ever had a suspect. Honestly, I don’t get why he’d even entertain the idea.”
Saguru hmmed, hoping it sounded like agreement.
“I mean, Kaito is way too young to be KID. Everyone knows Kaitou KID has to be in at least his forties.”
“That does seem to be the most prominent theory,” Saguru said neutrally. It wasn’t the most satisfactory response, he knew. But he could toe this line, if he focused on the commonly-held beliefs and not his own hypotheses and opinions.
“I wonder who Kaitou KID actually is. Whoever it is, I really can’t stand him. I’d like to give him a piece of my mind for all the trouble he’s causing everybody.”
“That’s fair of you.” Saguru wouldn’t condemn KID himself. But he’s already made clear to her that he doesn’t share the same hostility. “What with KID’s talent, I wouldn’t be surprised if the public never comes to know his identity.” After a moment, he amended, “Not to imply the task force is lacking in talent or capability. Your father has prevented many thefts from coming to fruition.” Never mind the fact KID so far still hadn’t truly stolen anything regardless. “But no matter how successful plans are on this side, KID has still proven successful as an escape artist, if nothing else. We’ll just have to see if ever he’s caught, or we get a hint.”
“It would be nice, though,” Aoko said, and Saguru had a hard time reading her tone. “To know who it is.”
What was she trying to accomplish here? It felt like she was fishing. Like she wanted a specific response from him. She might want him to agree that it was a ridiculous idea, confirm that the suspicions were completely unfounded. But he couldn’t imagine lying to her outright. But on the other hand…
“Have you ever suspected anyone of being KID, Saguru-kun?”
Ah.
“Well,” he said.
He couldn’t bring himself to lie to her, but he certainly couldn’t tell the truth. Saguru wouldn’t betray Kuroba like that; Kuroba may not trust him, but Saguru wasn’t going to confirm Kuroba’s own impressions.
And it wouldn’t just be betraying Kuroba. It would be a betrayal of one of Aoko’s closest friends.
No winning. Catch-22.
He forced himself to turn the question over in his mind, as slowly as he could allow without seeming as if he took too long. It wasn’t like he’d obtained any real proof. Other than observable evidence that Kaito wasn’t KID. And the DNA proof he’d destroyed. Of course, Saguru knew, but technically he’d proved the opposite.
“You’ll laugh, but I actually suspected Kuroba once myself.”
Aoko paused her game. “You did?”
And now the tension amplified exponentially. Did she know? He’d suspected before that she might. With how perceptive she was, how could she not have at least considered it?
Even then, that didn’t mean he could confirm it. Kuroba was the only person who could do that.
Steady. “Yes, well. I did test the theory, and my suspicions were proven false.” Based on the happenings, anyway.
“How did you test it?”
Saguru crooked a slight smile now. Casual. Easy. Amused. “Much like you, I handcuffed myself to him just before the heist began.”
She still didn’t say anything.
“So, in both of our cases, the heist still went on. So that would appear to clear Kuroba’s name on two different accounts,” he said lightly.
“Yeah, I guess it does.”
She’d slipped a little, seemed more pensive than casually amused. She recovered quickly. “It’s so funny that both of you thought it was Kaito.”
The way she continued circling, the way she persisted… on some level, she must know.
Aoko asked, “What made you think it was him, anyway?”
At least the capacity of the labs was something he wasn’t at liberty to discuss. “Probably proximity bias,” Saguru said. It wasn’t entirely untrue. “KID has a tendency for elaborate magic tricks, and Kuroba is certainly the most talented magician I’d ever met.” And then, after a beat: “But there’s plenty of talented magicians out there.”
Aoko hmmed, and fell silent again. Saguru imagined her putting him under a microscope, considering everything he said. Everything he didn’t say.
She unpaused her game and resumed playing. “Yeah, Bakaito could never be KID,” she said.
But all Saguru could think was that there was no way she didn’t know how false that was.

I know I shriek and shout about the shitty ending to GoT but Lena Headley was the bank, the banquet, and the chef's kiss in the early seasons. Her conversation with Robert over Lyanna-I want to die for. Her interlude with Sean Bean over the incest- where Ned/Cersei comes from. Her scenes with Sansa and Tyrion, I want crawl over broken glass for the fix it AUs.
Then D&D couldn't write their own plot holes over with a union construction team. Mourn Shae.
Y E S okay first side bar i LOVE lena & peter’s relationship, i think it’s so funny that at a few award shows they swapped seats with other people to sit next to each other, and peter would shout her out when he won for being such a good scene partner, i think she dealt with so much crap for being Good At Her Job and i love that she had someone on the cast who was always like “let’s talk about our lord and savior lena headey”
i think her relationship with oberyn in the show is really underrated. that scene where she says she wants to believe myrcella is okay & oberyn tries to comfort her. “everywhere in the world they hurt little girls.” just amazing. imagine if they actually did the story where myrcella is accidentally harmed by arianne’s doomed queenmaker plot.
a lot of her scenes with tywin are annoying to me bc the way they wrote tywin was so annoying but that one where he tells her she’s going to remarry and she goes “father don’t make me do this again” and he just screams at her. oh my god. it’s amazing. my heart drops every time she says that line.
it is crazy to me that this was like, for me, a defining performance, like this is a performance you bring up when you talk about how acting is ART and she didn’t win ONCE.

GHOSTFUCKERS IS OUT LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOO
And here are my thoughts.
I was NOT expecting Ghostfuckers to be an actual in-universe show about fucking ghosts, holy shit. Bethany Ghostfucker/Bathinee Goztfukr is an actual fictional character in the Hellaverse.
Blitzø mentioning he was never technically in a relationship with Stolas and they never will be was so sad. You'll get there, sweety... 😟
I did NOT need to see an old fat man in his underwear 🤢🤮
So Verosika's crew are still working in the same building as I.M.P. despite the whole parking space melodrama? I thought they would've chosen their own work place by now.
I'm glad Blitzø and Millie's relationship is expanded on in this episode. We finally got to see how they met and how Blitzø impacted Millie's life. I love the pep talk she gave him, which is something he really needed after taking one too many Ls this whole season. Overall, Blitzø and Millie's friendship is so underrated and I need more of it! 😭
For that matter, I also love Millie's character being explored more since Hell's Belles set the standard. The speech about how Millie feels like she's only good for killing and brute strength, but Blitzø made her feel appreciated outside of that. I hope the trend of Millie-focused content giving her more characterization other than being Moxxie's badass wife continues.
That scene of Blitzø hallucinating a bunch of deformed Millie clones talking shit about him scared the hell out of me.
That balding ghost guy was being super rapey with Blitzø, eugh.
I liked Moxxie and Loona's scenes, they were funny and it was nice seeing them not being extremely hostile to each other for once.
As much as I love Millie in this episode, it annoyed me a bit when she asked if Blitzø wasn't gonna stalk her and Moxxie anymore. He hasn't done that since Ozzie's!
I loved finally seeing Tilla on-screen in person for the first time.
That final fight scene between Millie and possesed!Blitzø was EPIC!
Since when did Vivian Nixon become Vivan Nixon Williams?
To top it all off this episode is amazing, easily one of my favorites. I take back what I said about Apology Tour, (I liked that episode a lot less ever since Blitzø antis started using it "prove" Blitzø is always the only one in the wrong) THIS is one of my top 5 now. Top tier. I love Ghostfuckers so much.
Last but not least :
🥵❤️🔥🍑
#helluva boss#ghostfuckers#blitzø buckzo#millie knolastname#moxxie knolastname#loona buckzo#tilla buckzo#do i still have to tag spoilers when the episode is out already?

Ultimate Talent Development Plan - Chiaki Nanami Event Notes
Homosexual Behavior going on here Sonia
Chiaki basically takes one glance at Junko!Mukuro and goes "oh shit why do i hear boss music" and that's SO FUNNY
Huh a friendly rivalry with Kirigiri? I wasn't expecting that, I can ship it, glad to see the girls getting along
Wait what Hiyoko is attached to Hajime?! I was not expecting that!
Protags truly get everyone ever no one can resist his reserve course swag
Byakuya is so fucking done with this school it's hilarious
No matter the timeline Chiaki and Usami best siblings. Although the way the sprites are proportioned makes Usami seem so so tall and I think that's funny, what she so big for
Byakuya voice: Please get me away from the furries
of COURSE Chiaki likes the Monokubs, why am I not surprised.
Oh fuck yeah they got to play galaga
DAMMIT
I have... several questions that I do not want answered
Monokuma confirmed gamer moments
I love how just fucking casual everyone is about genocider in these modes and canon like yeah, here's genocider, she's killed like 24 people and may kill again, she just goes here casually, no we have not informed any authorities
Genocider is on wattpad and literally no one can convince me otherwise
THIS IS SO SAD
Hifumi is such an underrated character he's so funny look at him go
Chiaki my love
Hey what if I just started crying?
Dont worry Chiaki no one does
Komaeda voice: There will be no fucking heathens about hope on my watch
Chiaki said this to Junko and that's the real reason Junko killed her 100% definitely these are the facts the danganronpa company dont want you to know.
He wants a killing game sososososo badly, he wants a little despair, as a treat
Wait this duo gets a second event?!
Alright final results
UTDP Chiaki is very much the more sanded off Chiaki from DR3 as she lacks at lot of her original sass, however she's still incredibly earnest and heartwarming regardless.
She shows fondness for the Monokubs even if she seems kinda annoyed by Monokuma. Her and Kirigiri also get along rather well and have a bit of a friendly rivalry at times.
She's incredibly observant though, and was able to immediately detect that Mukuro even when hidden as Junko was someone with a lot of dangerous potential.
Beyond that though, she's mostly just the somewhat shy but kind student rep she was in the anime. A bit of a pity, hopefully we get to see a bit more personality in her DRS. Especially as she mostly interacted within her own class + Hajime.
Outside of Chiaki, we learn that Monokuma is in fact a Gamer like he claims at times, that Genocider does in fact spend a lot of time in fandom and likes dating sims. That everyone gets along with Chiaki beyond Monokuma and somewhat Togami. Also Tenko is still pretty clingy to Himiko much to Himiko's apathy.

Hi
I think ochako is one of the most under utilised and underrated characters. I'm not a fan of her character (no, i DONT hate her). She had so much of potential amd her fight with BK just proved she's more than a pretty face. I'm fully aware of the fact that this show is oversaturated with characters. But let's not forget that she is the main female lead of the show. My biggest issue with her is that she didn't get to do a god damn thing in the Stain arc. She joined the academy with the sole intention of making money, and that's exactly what Stain hates about the hero society. Their monetary outlook. She could have been a part of the arc, the build up was there. She could have shown Stain that yes, while there are heroes who are there solely for the financial gains, that doesn't make them bad people. She all she wanted was to help her family get out of the poor financial situation they were in. Instead, she gets the typical shonen lead heroine treatment- being the love interest and whose sole purpose in life is to be a satellite character to the male lead of the show.
All her effort in the UA sports festival to do her best against Bk, all the desires to make good income as a hero to help her family financially, devolved into a girl who becomes a blushing mess infront of her love interest.
They did her so dirty. She was one of the few female shonen characters who felt like she could be someone in life without having anything to do with matters of the heart.
Also, notice how it's other characters around her who enforce her this whole Deku crush on her. Mina, toga and Aoyama to name a few. These are the characters who constantly remind her of her feelings for deku, thus pushing her further and further away from the plot relevancy.
I find this very annoying and makes me sick to think that a girl with tremendous potential is now relegated to the role of a girl hopelessly in love.
One last question: So many people think she's a terrible person for wanting to make money. I'm like, what? Are you serious? (If you want me to give further explanations I will) but it's the most human and realistic thing to do when you're stuck in a financial rut.
Please let me know and thanks for reading my extremely long post
Cheers
Ooooooooooo Lordy.
(Cracks hands and neck)
First and foremost, I still love Ochako. But I can’t ignore what’s happened to her throughout the series.
Honestly, it’s been ages since I’ve had that exact thought about Ochako and Stain situation! While he had a valid point (that wasn’t further explored, HORIKOSHI) about there being heroes that didn’t have the EXACT same mentality as All Might, her duality of wanting to provide enough money to support her family all the while having the desire to save others for the sake of saving others would be honestly a culture shock to Stain. (Or he may go further into denial, it’s actually hard to say. Guy had a few screws loose.)
But it HONESTLY would have been interesting seeing these two interact! And not to replace anyone the Hosu trio! It honestly would have been cool seeing her trying to use her new Gunhead Martial Arts (though she probably would have been focused on saving Iida as Izuku and Shoto took on the role of the main fighters, but Stain could have also tried to go after them and Uraraka would attempt to hold her own against him.) And we would have had MOST of the Dekusquad there! (Asui had her own internship.) Hiw great would it have been seeing the Dekusquad fighting together! And Ochako going feral protecting Iida!
Yeah, she happened to be more focused only about her crush with Izuku as time went on, which made a lot of her early traits and accomplishments kinda fade away and be forgotten. But for the record, and I still stand by this. A girl having a crush on someone DOESN’T cheapen her in my opinion. It’s something that happens to many teenagers. And some of their interactions I think are handled well, like them talking about wanting to save their respective villains. But other times, yeah, it felt a bit excessive that Horikoshi had to stop and say, “Hey! Hey! Do you remember Ochako has a crush on Izuku?!?” I honestly was looking forward to seeing how she acted after she vowed to put her feelings aside during the provisional license exam. But…Hori just continued to drill it into our faces.
As for the biggest perpetrator of making Ochako only about Izuku, I lay on Toga’s feet. Mina, yeah, she brings up the crush as well, but it’s done more in good fun I feel. And I think Aoyama has done that once. (Now that I think about it, it’s kind of random how he suddenly knew about her crush. He never does it again.)
But Toga? Horikoshi could have used her for something else to make her relevant, but the ONLY thing she had connected to Ochako is their shared crush on Izuku. Others say theirs other themes between them, but I’m sorry. I don’t see it, or believe that it was handled effectively. Ochako had more than just a crush. Like you mentioned, her want to provide for her family. Her fighting spirit and prowess that she showed against Bakugou. She had things that could have been fleshed out more.
Toga was a wha-wha girl that embraced being a remorseless villain and happened to be crushing on the same guy Ochako was crushing on. That’s it. There’s nothing else really about Toga. And she became to Ochako what Bakugou became to Izuku: a detriment to her character and preventing her from becoming something MORE. (Sorry but not really if I sound cynical about Toga. I just got REALLY tired being demanded to care about her. Like some OTHER blonde.)
Speaking of which, your last question? I also never understood this. I get it for a quick joke and stuff like that. Hahaha. But when people were SERIOUS about holding that over Ochako’s head? I was like, “Did you not hear her entire motivation?!?” I was dumbfounded how people could possibly come to that conclusion.
I find it ESPECIALLY interesting NO ONE brings up that BAKUGOU also had the desire to be a hero for money,JUST TO BE RICH AND FAMOUS! But no, shit on Ochako for wanting to take care of her family! Filthy hypocrites. I honestly wish Horikoshi did a better job balancing both her looking out for heroes as well as wanting to have a good paying job for her family. I think both are completely character of her.
Anyways, you gave me a long post, I gave a long response. 😜 But honestly, thanks! I don’t honestly get these and I hope my answers or thoughts are interesting or understandable! Have a good one and thanks again!

After taking a break for a few days I’ve pretty much calmed down enough to be able to think about who my favorite characters are now that I’ve finished the show
Obviously spoilers if you’re not done with the show
1. I don’t like children but if I had sasha as a daughter I would work my butt off to ensure she got to eat every single thing she wanted to eat and I’d make sure to spend as much time as possible to bond with her and I’d teach her about the world while also shielding her from every kind of hurt. I believe in sasha supremacy. The moment she saved Samuel back in season 1 I immediately felt there was going to be more to her than just the comedic relief. She’s the loveliest ball of sunshine in the show and she deserved so much more screen time. I don’t know how many times I’ve watched her save kaya now and every time I go back to when she got carlo in one shot and then proceeded to look the cart dead in the eye without flinching even as the cart was about to charge at her I’m always filled with pride. She grew up so well.
2. Jean’s character development is one of the best in the series, and he’s charismatic but also incredibly relatable. From the looks of it he grew up in a relatively normal family, had a normal childhood, and he didn’t have ackerman/noble blood or titan powers or special abilities and yet was the best out of all of the ‘normal’ scouts from the 104th. I could go on and on and on about why he’s so precious but there’s just one thing I want to mention at this point because I just realized I’ve never talked about this before. He’s a decent man and I love him for it. It’s sad that we feel we have to ‘applaud’ or even comment on something like this but this is the world we live in. What I mean is, some guys are weird with their crushes, like predatory or toxic, but not jean. He never tried to manipulate mikasa and he wasn’t even annoying with it. Regardless of how she was as a person, he treated her as just that, a person, and as a friend. And he truly meant well. That’s unfortunately more than what we can say for a lot of men (and women). Also, he should’ve been the next commander and I don’t care if this has become redundant. I will die on this hill.
3. I just want to know why we weren’t given a backstory for hange. Levi had one erwin had one even jean had one (baby jean boy is the cutest 😭) the majority of the main cast had some kind of backstory but not hange. Why???????? Also, I’m not into girls but I’d probably marry her. And this is another thing that I haven’t talked about on here, which is that the entire time I was watching the series, the one and only time I actually teared up was when she died and met all of those that had passed before her. It was the whole situation of her doing everything she could to hold back the rumbling and then literally burning to her death and then meeting the others and her looking at the flying boat from a distance. The moment I heard Erwin’s voice saying “it took off” I lost it. I wasn’t sobbing or anything but internally I really was suffering. Most likely it wasn’t just hange but rather the weight of it all, and my heart hurt more times than I can count watching the series, but this really was the one and only time, which is saying something considering the show is basically just one massive heartbreak.
4. I know connie is popular enough but to me he’s still such an underrated character. Even back in season 1 where we didn’t get to see him as much, I always had a soft spot for him. I think it was mostly because he often acted like an idiot, which was endearing on its own, but you could also kind of sense that there was more to him than just that, much like sasha. And the affection that he had for his family and especially for his mom, my heart hurts every time I think about it. I wish he had been given more screen time. Also it’s probably obvious by now but since I haven’t said it before I’ll take this chance. I’d rather watch the show with Sasha jean and Connie as the main trio. There I said it. And I’m sure there are others who share my sentiment. Another thing that I’ve never said before is I feel like he had one of the best physical glow ups in the series 😂 I really really liked how he looked by the end of it. He was already handsome to begin with and it wasn’t like he had an enormous change in appearance either but adulthood looked really good on him. And I love a man who cuts his own hair.
5. I would love a proper prequel with Levi as the main character.
6. I really wish we got to see more of Pyxis. Go on and give us that in the prequel above 🙏
7. I was quite surprised I ended up liking Keith so much considering there isn’t much material to turn to, but his scenes in season 4 hit me like a truck. Don’t be shy and show us more of him in the prequel above 👍
8. Reiner also took me by surprise. I knew there must have been more to his story, alongside bertholdt’s and Annie’s, but I just didn’t feel anything for him in seasons 1 to 3. On the other hand watching him in season 4 felt like watching a whole other person. This probably sounds stupid but the thought of it is fair I think. If I had a choice I probably would have married hange and then raised Sasha, jean, Connie, Levi and Reiner as our children. Also I’m not denying that Reiner’s sins are real, but I still believe he deserved better. No one should have to go through what the warriors/Eldians in Marley had to go through. He literally developed a whole other personality to cope. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that the guilt must have been eating him alive.
9. I still haven’t been able to get over Erwin’s death. I might not be able to. I mean, asking “What do you see here? What do you think the enemy is?” all the way back in season 1? Mentally the man was already in season 4 😩 It’s kind of sad but his absence in the last season made me appreciate him even more. Somehow he was always at the back of my mind. Also while he often manipulated people he rarely, if ever, did so with lies. He saw himself as an “expert conman” with “a whole slew of lies” but I don’t think this is true. The only one I can think of at the moment is when he arranged for the scouts to be told different things concerning eren’s location for the 57th expedition. But this doesn’t hurt anyone and it was mainly done for eren’s security and to lure out the possible spies so I’m not mad at this at all. He rarely lied about the actual facts of a situation, and I really respect him for that. He’s much less a conman and much more a hype man. Just for the record though I’m always going to feel 50/50 about him but despite this he’s number 9 out of all of the characters because the half that I do like is really doing its work like the rent is due.
10. Armin but the fact that I had to think long and hard about whether or not I liked anyone better...🤡 Season 1 armin is still my favorite armin, specifically the first half of it, and it’s not even close 💀 had this been based on just the rest of the series he wouldn’t even have touched the top 15. It’s simply amazing how he went from being one of the most promising, most inspiring characters to being one of the biggest letdowns in the entire series. That said, he will always have a special place in my heart. For me, a few of his best moments were when he was shaking in fear the first time the colossal attacked but still managed to find hannes and then asked him for help, when he comforted bertholdt by saying that cherishing one’s life is admirable too, and when he came up with that speech in order to convince the soldiers that eren wasn’t an enemy (yes he would’ve failed without Pyxis but, for me, the speech still remains to this day one of the most iconic and one of the most moving parts of the whole show).
Honorable mentions:
1. Falco the sweetest child
2. Most of floch’s lines in season 3 were chef’s kiss and even though I don’t agree with his ideals I still think his relentlessness and leadership were commendable
3. I really appreciate Artur and Lisa braus for their wisdom and their hearts of gold
4. Colt the best big bro
If we ever get a prequel or a sequel or whatever then I’ll probably make another list again
#I’m tired as hell so some parts of this might be a bit messy#or maybe the whole thing is messy idk I’m too tired to care at this point#I had a really long day today lol anyway#shingeki no kyojin#sasha braus#jean kirschtein#hange zoe#connie springer#levi ackerman#dot pixis#keith shadis#reiner braun#erwin smith#armin arlert#falco grice#floch forster#artur braus#lisa braus#colt grice

💕Favorite ship for the muse? 💔Least favorite ship for the muse? 💢Something about the muse that annoys you? 💡 What inspires you to write the muse? 📷 Favorite picture/screencap of your muse? 📝 Favorite headcanon for your muse? 😒 Is there anything canon about your muse that you ignore? 🔥 Unpopular opinion about your muse? ⌨ What’s a situation you’ve always wanted to RP with the muse? 🎭 How similar are you and the muse?
💕Favorite ship for the muse?
I kinda like the idea of Maggie/Rosita. I feel like I'm the only one to ever consider shipping them. I hope I'm not.
💔Least favorite ship for the muse?
This is an awkward question because I don't like several of Rosita's canon ships. I can't see Gabriel/Rosita. That's my least favorite I'd say. In my opinion they have no chemistry. My own portrayal of Rosita never goes for him.
💢Something about the muse that annoys you?
Nothing about Rosita annoys me. At least I wouldn't put it like that. She makes mistakes and she has flaws just like all the other characters, but I love her or I wouldn't write her. What annoys me is that the writers never put her in good relationships. She goes through several and they are all either bad or end up bad. After losing Abraham, she loses Spencer, then Siddiq and the Gabriel one is just weird to me, it felt forced.
💡 What inspires you to write the muse?
Rosita is never really seen showing much vulnerability on the show even though she suffers a ton. She's lost family, she's watched her ex being beaten to death in front of her and she was forced to look at the bloodied murder weapon right after that, for a while she lost her best friend. Yet you hardly ever see her breaking down. It's definitely part of who she is. Rosita is a hard woman. But everybody has their breaking points and I would really like to explore how she is feeling because as well as she can handle herself, Rosita is still human.
And I would like her to be more involved with the rest of the group. Asides from Abraham and Eugene she isn't that close to anyone. They After Abraham's death, after Spencer's death, after Eugene is taken, she has no one she is really close to.
📷 Favorite picture/screencap of your muse?
I love this icon of her.
📝 Favorite headcanon for your muse?
I have multiple.
Rosita's childhood dream was to become a nurse. She's interested in medicine and loves caring for people. That's why she picked up those medical skills she learned from the others in her old group so well. She actually would have gone to nursing school after completing her military had the outbreak not happened. For as hardened as she may be, she's very caring. She's just not good with words. She will show it through actions.
My other headcanon is not the happiest headcanon and it's canon-implied, as the canon mentions she was raised by a single mom who taught her to fend for herself, but I would like to add that I think Rosita was mostly relying on herself from a young age. Her mom had to work a lot and they couldn't afford babysitters, so as soon as Rosita was able to (which was earlier than most kids) she would prepare her own meals and find jobs to financially support her mother. She also had no one to help her with homework or anything like that. Things didn't change after her mother died when she started living with her nephew and her older brother. She then also had to watch a kid in addition to dealing with school and working. And it's unexpected to many but in school she was kind of an outsider. All of those things played a part in why she survived. She has always been more self-suffiient than most but she is also good at playing her part in a team.
😒 Is there anything canon about your muse that you ignore?
Her death. My version of Rosita survives. Her daughter gets to grow up with a mother.
🔥 Unpopular opinion about your muse?
She's an underrated character. She gets objectified too much and not seen for who she is.
⌨ What’s a situation you’ve always wanted to RP with the muse?
I would love to play her during the Negan era. I'm mutuals with a Negan blog, so a confrontation with Negan, a face-to-face conversation between the two would be thrilling. And I think Rosita could bond with Maggie. Everyone has suffered but those two have gone through very similar things. Also, they were both part of GREATM. I just feel like there is so much potential.
🎭 How similar are you and the muse?
We are both emotionally guarded, blunt latinas but other than that we aren't similar at all.

CBS Ghosts Review- The Silent Partner
Isaac and Sam's relationship is an underrated one to me, so I love episodes that have the opportunity to show it off. Granted this episode was definitely nowhere near as exciting or full of oomph as Halloween 3, but what is?
It highlighted once again the fact that Jay and Sam need to do more work communicating as a couple and maybe discussing limits about things or showing more appreciation cause like, Sam really gave Jay a telling off for not paying attention to her book because all he cares about is his restaurant, but frankly, I feel the man has the right to focus on stuff that's meaningful to him, especially after he did stuff like dig up Flower's death spot to get something for the seance to bring her back. That gets him a lot, to me, and I feel like sometimes Sam can be a little forgetful that even though Jay loves her and the ghosts, he needs time to do stuff that's just for him and that's not a crime.
Now that doesn't excuse him treating Isaac as if he's just some annoying imaginary friend and I was glad that he came up with the table and the speech to show that he actually did read the book about Isaac to show that he did believe in the man's value as part of his family, even if he's a ghost Jay can't see. (And totally agree with everyone that it would have been nice to see Nigel there at the unveiling and if we don't get at least one shot of Nigel and Isaac having a date for two at the ghost table, I will be sad.)
The part with Sas and Hetty and the candy was another case of "good idea, poor execution." They took it far enough and used some really weird wording for it (like when they were all "She can hold onto the candy and her fingers will be in our mouths") that it just made me wince and squirm and not blame Carol for wanting to go on a walk to get away from them one bit.
Last but definitely not least, I'm sure I was not the only one who was cheering when Pete revealed to Carol that he knew about her affair with Jerry and told her she sucked. It was well earned and I think she's lucky that he's too nice a guy to give her worse. (Although I do give her credit, even if it's a way to excuse her own cheating or whatever, for immediately asking if Pete is with someone. For all her issues with Pete, she's not a hypocrite who just expected her husband to be super loyal to her while she cheated on him because she felt entitled to that. She seemed genuinely surprised that he chose to stay loyal. Granted he didn't KNOW she cheated until later, but...still.) And although it's a low bar, also congrats to Carol for being one of the few ghosts or people to be at least decent to Nancy on sight compared, say, to Hetty, who still calls her "it."
I wish it would have just been Nancy and Pete doing the fake girlfriend thing. Cause like, with them, we know it's fake. She's there to make him look good and then she steps away. Whereas with Alberta, you just know that this relationship is something that they could make into a real thing, even after throwing it away, and since I don't feel like Richie and Danielle have that kind of chemistry it's just like...ugh, okay. Although, there could be another love interest coming for Alberta soon so maybe they aren't being made into a couple. That's my hope.
All in all, yay for Pete. That is the high point of this mostly functional episode, although, as usual, I do enjoy Isaac and Sam. Now we're on a short hiatus until early April where we could get a bachelor party and the return of Nigel! Can't wait!

Hello..If you don't mind me asking, can I ask, what are your top 7 (or top 10) favorite media (can be books/ manga/ anime/movies/tv series/etc) and your top 10 favorite (fictional) characters from any media? Why do you love them all? Sorry if you've answered this questions before......
Thanks for asking! Be warned, long post
For media in no particular order:
Code Geass - Great male lead and phenomenal ending. Has that anime trope of too many love interests with little personality, but still has some really good female characters (Nunnally and Euphemia are amazing). The Lelouch and Suzaku relationship is just how I like it - filled with many complicated feelings
Scum Villain Self Saving System - As someone who loves fanfiction, I think Scum Villain is a must read. MXTX really shows her understanding of fandoms in the story. Shen Yuan is an amazing main character, his chaotic thoughts and his lack of understanding of everything makes him really funny, and I love learning more about the characters around him as they become more real to him
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish - Just a really great movie. Great characters and villains, you don't need me to tell you why it's amazing
Infinity Train - Gone too soon. Therapy train that forces you to get better or it kills you, a great idea for a kids TV show! It honestly was a really good show that showed people going through realistic issues, and have them try to be better, though the protagonists are never perfect and can and will fail. I will never forgive HBO for cancelling it
Gravity Falls - Being in the Gravity Falls fandom while this show was coming out was really fun. I loved all the theories and seeing which ones came true. Great characters and villains, and I can't wait to see what Alex Hirsch comes out with next
Hannibal (TV Series) - A great rom-com with some delicious looking food. Also Will has 7 dogs, 10/10 show
The Mandalorian (First 2 Seasons) - Got me into Star Wars. Tired gun dad and little gremlin baby carry the show, and I love watching Mando slowly learn Star Wars lore
Iron Man - Favorite Marvel movie. It does so many things right, I don't care if the main villain makes their own iron Man suite and fights Tony using his own power, that wasn't an annoying Marvel trope yet, and Iron Man does that trope the best. Stane actually has a personal relationship with the main character so we can feel Tony's betrayal when he learns what Stane has done. Also it has Phil Coulson, so 10/10
My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! - This show is just hilarious, I don't care if Catarina ends up with any of her love interests, I just love all of the characters (except Keith, I'm not a fan of 'I can't believe it's not incest' type ships)
Epithet Erased - Criminally underrated. The story takes place in a world where some people have specific words attached to their souls called epithets that give them power. The series has many amazing characters, but mostly follows Molly, a little girl whose epithet is 'dumb'. She is forced to grow up after losing her mother, and is made to do things 10 year olds shouldn't know how to do, like taxes. It's an amazing series that can be very heartwarming and funny, but also very tragic. Please watch!!!
And now my favorite characters, this time in order:
1. Shang Qinghua, Scum Villain Self Saving System - I love this pathetic hamster man. You can see parts of himself in the characters he wrote, and while his backstory isn't as tragic as most of the other characters, it is still very relatable and sad. He has really great chemistry with many of the characters, so he can be fun to write. He is my best friend and I would kill for him
2. Loki, Marvel - I'm a young adult woman on Tumblr, of course I love Loki. His characterization has kinda gone out the window since Thor Ragnarok, but he's still very charming and funny
3. Sesshomaru, Inuyasha (and only Inuyasha. Final Act made some questionable choices for the character, and I refuse to acknowledge Yasahime's existence, may it burn in hell) - I love the trope of redeeming a character by giving them a child. Sesshomaru's character growth throughout the story was fun to watch, and I love the fact that even though he has 1 arm, he doesn't hesitate to punch his brother in the face. The show ends without resolving anything, but at least it doesn't ruin the relationship he had with his father, gives his arm back in a stupid way, and changes his relationship with Rin in a creepy way. Nope, none of that happened
4. Yakushi Kabuto, Naruto - I loved this nerd since he was introduced, and the fact that he was given a tragic backstory near the end of Naruto just made me love him even more. He's a healer that uses his abilities to harm others, and I love that for him
5. Pythor P. Chumsworth, Ninjago - Best villain in the show. It doesn't always handle his character well, but his motivation for revenge is very tragic and I wished the show acknowledged it. His release with Lloyd was fun in ep. 4, and I wished they had a reconciliation. Still, he was fun throughout the show
6. Natural Harmonia Gropius, Pokemon - I love the idea of a character that can understand Pokemon, and he has a compelling arc in the games and anime. I love villains who do the wrong things for the right reasons, and also have good relationships with the people he's apposing
7. Mitth'raw'nuruodo, Star Wars (specifically when he's written by Timothy Zahn) - He's too smart for his own good and can be a little shit, but he also holds importance to the life around him, even though he's on the Empire's side. I love my morally grey characters
8. Discord, My Little Pony - I watched the entire show just because I liked one character, and it was worth it. I love my chaotic gods
9. Kumoko, So I'm a Spider, So What? - I love shows where we watch a protagonist get new abilities. Kumoko is very silly and chaotic, and while she seems nice, she wouldn't hesitate to commit atrocities
10. Lan Qiren, The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation - I just think he's funny

rating tvd characters because i’m out here struggling with this show (up to s5)
for context: i’ve had this love-hate relationship with tvd since i was 12. now that i’m grown and not blinded by insignificant storylines and attractive 30-year-olds playing teenager roles, i’m rewatching and struggling. and i’m taking y’all with me.
elena gilbert, 1/10
- banal
- whiny
- bad acting, got like two facial expressions
- annoying
- tries to be cool and tough, but to me she’s just cringe 99% of the time
- i don’t give her 0 just because she’s rarely funny and active (= not being a damsel in distress or a living ingredient for some witchcraft shit)
stefan salvatore, 7,5/10
- boyfriend material
- love s1 stefan
- kind and caring, excluding the ripper personality
- comes up with good plans
- a lot of different phases of life, maybe too many
- transformative arch’s a bit confusing (up to this point), like one step forward and two steps back
- sometimes i feel like punching him in the face
- still i have a soft spot for him
damon salvatore, 5,5/10
- king of bad decisions
- ridiculously down bad (relatable)
- comes up with either shit plans or excellent plans that resolve in the worst way possible
- funny and charismatic, but very moody
- cinic to say the least
- he doesn’t sit right with me, i don’t hate him tho
- still very iconic
caroline forbes, <3/10
- cute
- kind
- witty
- adorable
- does everything for her loved ones
- her smile lights up the world
- the show did her dirty since episode 1
- she owns my heart
- i can make you happy, caroline, i swear
bonnie bennett, 10/10
- underrated
- powerful af
- brave
- strong
- selfless
- the show did her dirtier than caroline
- always sacrificing everything for other people
- i love witches in tvd
katherine pierce/katerina petrova, 4/10
- stereotypical
- manipulative
- annoying
- selfish
- her favourite singer would probably be ariana grande or something like that
- but she got flaws too
- she’s funny tho
- i like her at times, rare times
(ni)klaus mikaelson, 7/10
- i would’ve given 10/10 when i was younger, but i have to rethink about that
- psychopath
- his whole family stuff is just creepy and somewhat nonsense
- “man, i love my family. what did you say, brother? i have to do the dishes?” *stabs you and puts you in a casket for 900 years*
- curb your millenary creature flirting with a 17-year-old
- pros: powerful, fascinating, charming, poetic, british accent
- i wish i could hear him call me “love”, just for once
- hybrid (they’re cool)
matt donovan, 2/10
- give me a chair, because i can’t stand you
- if “i won last place” was a person
- he’s just boring and very mean at times
- i’m sorry that his life sucks so bad tho
tyler lockwood, 4,5/10
- s1 tyler was asking to be kicked in the balls
- totally unbearable
- however his character grew so much and i’m glad
- i know i said hybrids are cool, but i liked him better when he was just a werewolf
- he went back to being intolerable when he was sired to klaus, but it wasn’t entirely his fault
- i’m mixed on this
- nah, he broke caroline’s heart, so fuck him
jeremy gilbert, 9/10
- let’s ignore s1 jeremy, shall we?
- from emo teen to kick ass hunter
- lovely
- strong
- brave
- i can’t help being drawn to him every time he’s in a scene
- i don’t have anything else to say, i like him, period

Hello, can I ask from this ask game :
https://www.tumblr.com/threecheersforinking/677824836625694720/anime-ask-game?source=share
For anime/manga : Daiya no Ace, Code Geass, Ao Ashi, and Frieren.
Thanks 🌻
Hi, anon! Thank you for sending this ask game. It's very interesting and I'd be happy to do this game. ^^
This ask game was made by threecheersforinking. Check my answers under the cut.
ANIMANGA: Daiya no Ace
Favorite Character: Sawamura Eijun
Favorite Arc/Episode/Scene: Act II, Episode 15: My Role (lost count of the number of times I've watched this episode tbh)
Character I Think is Underrated: Kariba Wataru (Kariba is the most dedicated catcher to Sawamura when he's suffering from yips. I even made a post for him because he's so underrated.)
Character I Think is Overrated: Miyuki Kazuya??? (Don't get me wrong, I love this character too but there are times when I hate him. lol.)
Favorite Ship/Pairing: I don't have ships for this series but I love the MuraMura battery. I also made lots of posts for this battery. I love how Okumura is so dedicated to Sawamura. There's a balance between the two where both look up to each other's strengths.
Something I Love About the Show/Movie: The main character is such an inspiration. I've been thinking that the author might hate his own main character (because of all the shit he put him through XD), but I guess this just added to the readers loving this character more.
ANIMANGA: Code Geass
Favorite Character: Lelouch
Favorite Arc/Episode/Scene: the ending (the most beautiful ending I've ever watched)
Character I Think is Underrated: Shirley Fenette (she could've done more for Lelouch had she been alive until the end)
Character I Think is Overrated: can't think of anyone honestly, maybe because it's been a while since I've watched this (literally more than a decade now XD)
Favorite Ship/Pairing: Lelouch and CC are a good combo, as a pair and not really a ship
Something I Love About the Show/Movie: I love how the series ended. Like everything made perfect sense after you've finished watching it. There are a lot of series that are so good but fail to deliver at the end, leaving the watchers/readers not very satisfied. This, however, despite how the ending went is absolutely perfect. Best ending ever imo.
ANIMANGA: Ao Ashi
Favorite Character: Aoi Ashito (curly hair, crazy, inspirational, kind, why wouldn't he be my favorite?? XD), I also love the coach but I got angry at him at some point in one of the manga arcs lol
Favorite Arc/Episode/Scene: I really love the Esperion vs Aomori Seiran Arc (manga only) and if we're talking about anime, it would be Episode 14: It's Just Soccer (the scene between Hana and Ashito). Since then, I started shipping those two. XD
Character I Think is Underrated: I can't think of anyone, I think the author wrote the characters really well (not just the main character and that's what I love about this series).
Character I Think is Overrated: same answer for underrated
Favorite Ship/Pairing: Ashito x Hana (one of my favourite OTPs), I usually don't ship characters in sports animanga but their relationship is just so beautiful that it actually contributes to the development of the main character
Something I Love About the Show/Movie: This is one of the sports anime that includes family as a big part of the story. And it was done so beautifully. Not only that, there's the added romance that's not annoying but instead would contribute greatly to the main character's improvement.
ANIMANGA: Sousou no Frieren
Favorite Character: I don't have a favorite, I love everyone (Frieren and her former and latter companions)
Favorite Arc/Episode/Scene: (manga only) Golden Land Arc and Goddess's Monument Arc, I would really love for these two arcs to be animated, as for the anime, that would be Episode 10: A Powerful Mage
Character I Think is Underrated: none
Character I Think is Overrated: none (the characters in this series are well written IMO)
Favorite Ship/Pairing: Frieren & Himmel, Fern & Stark (doesn't have to be romantic, I just love their antics when they're together)
Something I Love About the Show/Movie: I love how the past experiences of Frieren influence her current adventure. Her character development is slow but steady and I love how her actions are briefly explained through the past that she would remember each time.
Thank you for sending this, anon! I really had fun doing this game. \( ̄▽ ̄)/

your thoughts on obitoxfem kks also give me some headconan
I love them just as much as I love Madara x Fem!Hashirama (vice versa) and Gaara x Fem!Naruto!
I think genderbender pairs are underrated, and they have an amazing charm to them.
Anyways, let's get to the headcanons, which is in the canon au (some angst ahead):
It's a complete love/hate relationship. Know-it-all girl vs Boy who wants to beat the know-it-all in everything.
Fem!Kakashi sort of developed a small crush on Obito when they were younger, but she was the type that was avoidant, and was too afraid of being vulnerable. She had a habit of denying her feelings and burying them inside.
While Obito tends to always challenge her or rub at her face some of his achievements, he finds himself reaching out to fem!Kakashi whenever he sees her brooding or sitting alone. He tends to just hang around and talk to her about anything, just to wipe off the sad or grim expression she often wears.
Fem!Kakashi finds herself feeling irritated when she sees Obito giving his attention to Rin, and this would be the first time she admits that she actually really likes the attention he gives her, even if he's being annoying or consistently challenging her.
When Obito hurts himself, fem!Kakashi finds herself grumpily reaching over to have a look at his injuries, and takes the gauze or bandage out of Rin's hand to wrap him up, scolding him for being so careless.
The more time she spent around the stubborn Uchiha, the more Kakashi has grown used to his presence, so when he's not around, she would find an excuse to seek him out, whether it's a challenge or to reprimand him, or just to follow him around whenever he's helping an elderly.
The day that Obito got crushed by the boulder, was the day Kakashi cried so hard and told him that there was no team without him. His words about her being an amazing Jounin always rings in her head. His "death" truly devastated her, and she ends up regretting not letting him know of her feelings for him.
You can imagine the shock she feels when Obito is revealed to be the masked man during the war - but that's where her feelings and emotions start to go haywire. During their battle in the Kamui dimension, she wavers in the middle of the fight, knowing that she is unable to kill him no matter what - and Obito takes advantage of that by pulling her closer to him and holding her tightly, showing that he's aware of her feelings for him, and he tells her that "they can have it all" and that they can be together in their own world.
When Obito gets defeated, Kakashi attempts to kill him once more, but when Minato stops her, Kakashi lets out her grief and tears, beating her fists at his chest and scolding him for his ways, telling him that she would've been by his side and he would never have to be alone, and she would be the one to heal the hole in his heart if he let her. Obito looks at her with a pained expression, fully realizing Kakashi's love for him and imagining what it would've been like.
Warning: NSFW
In an AU where they live together and Obito's the Hokage while fem!Kakashi is his wife/lover, they'd have the kinkiest sexual relationship because Kakashi loves to try out the positions and sexual acts that she tends to pick up from Icha Icha Paradise.
She's very protective of Obito and Obito is the most supporting man for her, who loves to show her off and show off that he's married to Konoha's top Jounin protégé.
Fem!Kakashi tends to annoy Obito for attention, because she just loves his reaction.
Pillow talk at night is their favorite.
They tend to argue about whether fem!Kakashi should keep her dogs inside the house or leave them in their summoning dimension.
The Kamui dimension is technically their "sex dungeon" LMAO.
Their favorite quality time is training together and walking fem!Kakashi's dogs. :3
That's all for now!
