Rosita is a Scorpio. They're said to be: loyal, smart, shrewd, stoic, independent and brave, which describes Rosita perfectly.

People with poor table manners. Even in the apocalypse.

Thanksgiving. She didn't have a lot of money growing up but she would always have a special dinner with her family on Thanksgiving. Her mother made sure of that. And later on she made sure that her nephew would get to eat something special.

Enchiladas.

After Abraham's death she has lost so many things that Rosita expects that she might lose everyone else too. She's also not afraid of dying at this point. But she is still scared of losing more people.

Rosita loves High School Musical.

Rosita once went hiking in Palo Duro Canyon State Park while she was on shore leave. The view was incredible and she will never forget how beautiful the Milky Way looked at night.

Rosita would always hang out with the nerds back in school. She might not fit into that stereotype, but she has never been popular. She was too individualistic, blunt and poor to hang with the cool kids. That Eugene became her best friend is not a surprise. She always liked intellectual types who can teach her new things, people who aren't involved in gossip or drama.

As a kid, Rosita was a total tomboy. She liked playing soccer and repairing things. That made it hard for her to connect with the other girls who weren't as interested in that, so she mostly played with boys, but as she got older, she found that she often got underestimated or treated differently because she was a girl. But she never hid who she is or tried to change.

She likes reading romance novels and poetry. Rosita prefers to read in Spanish because it has more emotional weight for her. It's not easy to come across good Spanish books in the apocalypse, so Rosita is happy whenever she finds something, and even happier when someone picks up a good Spanish book for her on a supply run.

I kinda like the idea of Maggie/Rosita. I feel like I'm the only one to ever consider shipping them. I hope I'm not.

💔Least favorite ship for the muse?

This is an awkward question because I don't like several of Rosita's canon ships. I can't see Gabriel/Rosita. That's my least favorite I'd say. In my opinion they have no chemistry. My own portrayal of Rosita never goes for him.

💢Something about the muse that annoys you?

Nothing about Rosita annoys me. At least I wouldn't put it like that. She makes mistakes and she has flaws just like all the other characters, but I love her or I wouldn't write her. What annoys me is that the writers never put her in good relationships. She goes through several and they are all either bad or end up bad. After losing Abraham, she loses Spencer, then Siddiq and the Gabriel one is just weird to me, it felt forced.

💡 What inspires you to write the muse?

Rosita is never really seen showing much vulnerability on the show even though she suffers a ton. She's lost family, she's watched her ex being beaten to death in front of her and she was forced to look at the bloodied murder weapon right after that, for a while she lost her best friend. Yet you hardly ever see her breaking down. It's definitely part of who she is. Rosita is a hard woman. But everybody has their breaking points and I would really like to explore how she is feeling because as well as she can handle herself, Rosita is still human.

And I would like her to be more involved with the rest of the group. Asides from Abraham and Eugene she isn't that close to anyone. They After Abraham's death, after Spencer's death, after Eugene is taken, she has no one she is really close to.

📝 Favorite headcanon for your muse?

I have multiple.

Rosita's childhood dream was to become a nurse. She's interested in medicine and loves caring for people. That's why she picked up those medical skills she learned from the others in her old group so well. She actually would have gone to nursing school after completing her military had the outbreak not happened. For as hardened as she may be, she's very caring. She's just not good with words. She will show it through actions.

My other headcanon is not the happiest headcanon and it's canon-implied, as the canon mentions she was raised by a single mom who taught her to fend for herself, but I would like to add that I think Rosita was mostly relying on herself from a young age. Her mom had to work a lot and they couldn't afford babysitters, so as soon as Rosita was able to (which was earlier than most kids) she would prepare her own meals and find jobs to financially support her mother. She also had no one to help her with homework or anything like that. Things didn't change after her mother died when she started living with her nephew and her older brother. She then also had to watch a kid in addition to dealing with school and working. And it's unexpected to many but in school she was kind of an outsider. All of those things played a part in why she survived. She has always been more self-suffiient than most but she is also good at playing her part in a team.

😒 Is there anything canon about your muse that you ignore?

Her death. My version of Rosita survives. Her daughter gets to grow up with a mother.

🔥 Unpopular opinion about your muse?

She's an underrated character. She gets objectified too much and not seen for who she is.

⌨ What’s a situation you’ve always wanted to RP with the muse?

I would love to play her during the Negan era. I'm mutuals with a Negan blog, so a confrontation with Negan, a face-to-face conversation between the two would be thrilling. And I think Rosita could bond with Maggie. Everyone has suffered but those two have gone through very similar things. Also, they were both part of GREATM. I just feel like there is so much potential.

We are both emotionally guarded, blunt latinas but other than that we aren't similar at all.

That was hard to answer. Andrea and Rosita could definitely butt heads, but I can also see them being good friends. Some stuff is in cursive because it'd depend on the circumstances. She would always give Andrea food too if she cooked something because Rosita will make food for the whole group. And even if the two weren't close she would probably compliment Andrea's survival skills.

Rosita values loyalty, compassion and honesty most. That's what makes her stay with someone. But what draws her in is confidence and bravery. And she really likes someone who is as independent as she is.

There aren't many pet names Rosita likes, she finds most of them annoying or flimsy. She prefers being called by her name. But love, beautiful or darling can be very nice to hear, just not constantly.

She likes a mixture of both.

Aside from her lips, that would be her jaw.

She would probably go for pirates.

Any compliment that is genuine. It depends on how it's said and in what moment.

Daryl or Michonne.

Depends on the season. In the later seasons, definitely Michonne. She is like Carl's mother, plus she is either pregnant during those times or she has a child. After Rick's disappearance Rosita and Michonne also got closer. In Rosita's very early seasons, she'd save either. During the Negan era it could either be Daryl or Michonne. She could potentially get closer to Daryl during the Negan era.

Yes. She won't forget the cold way he broke up with her and the things he said. His words regarding how he thought she was the only woman in the world will haunt her for a long time. He might have meant that he wanted to be with Sasha, but Rosita interpreted it as Abraham having been with her because she was the only option. After their break-up she feels like she isn't good enough and like he just used her. Like he never loved her. And that isn't something Rosita gets over easily. She trusted him the whole time, loved him and thought that her feelings were being returned. And now that he is dead, Rosita can't ask him if he ever loved her.

She will heal from that feeling of not having been good enough, but it will take years. At some point she will stop caring if he loved her. The only thing that will keep haunting her is that image of seeing him die. She won't get over it. But she'll stop obsessing over the question if he loved her. Still, she will never understand why he broke up with her that way.

No. She does not. Not at all. Rosita initially thinks she hates Sasha, but in reality she hates what Abraham did to her. But because she still loves Abraham, it is easier to blame Sasha for being in the way instead of realizing that Abraham might never have been serious about their relationship in the first place.
