I always pictured the follow up to "do you really remember me" like the iconic Final Fantasy VIII Rinoa & Squall's reunion scene. FF8 is a milestone game title in my life. Not only that, she's literally made Jinshi, the very character she's known to VOCALLY DESPISE, to be one of the most fleshed out characters in the entire 15 volumes of the light novel

what was with cameron house md she spends 90% of the episode saying she wants their patient to die bc he's a genocidal dictator and her colleague husband says "babe it bothers me for ethical reasons that you want our patient to die :(" and she said "hm maybe you're right :/" but when it comes down to it the genocidal dictator lays a finger on her in an aggressive manner and chase instantly commits medical malpractice to murder the guy and then when he tells her she LEAVES HIM bc boo hoo he's a murderer now like GIRL he killed a man for you!!! he's wracked with catholic guilt!!! he's being crushed beneath the weight of his sins because he chose his devotion to you over his devotion to god!!! he literally could not get any sexier at this moment in time!!!

mari yellowjackets is such a great character i love her so much. love how she is driven by fear. she sucks up to jackie once they crash in the wilderness because she expects the pre-wilderness power structures to transfer and wants the protection of being close with the one with the power. and then the power structures shift, and mari's all over lottie, who she'd tried to make fun of before, because a) like i said, mari is seeking safety by trying to get in the good graces of the person with the most power, and b) i think she's clinging to some sort of system of belief that makes all of this easier to process and make sense of, something that lottie offers. but like... she's also so transparent in sucking up to whoever's at the top of the pyramid. typically, whoever it is indulges it, but they never get genuinely close, and they clearly see through her and what she's doing. she's also constantly making herself feel better through humor, often humor that pisses other people off, so she's never superrr favored by the group as a whole. typically there's at least one person she's beefing with at a given time. and she Always shrinks back at any pushback. and like . graaah i love that they stuck her with ben for a bit there because we see her coping with humor (singing to herself), and we also see her trying to get favor with the person with power over her (i mean . yeah she may well have been attracted to coach ben, but the flirting was absolutely a failed effort to get into his good graces somehow. and once again it was absolutely transparent to ben that that was what it was). we ALSO get to see how she's constantly trying to make sense of horrible things that are hard to grapple with through her speech about her cousin dying. like god she is trying to live So badly. she Knows that the social game matters here, she hypothetically knows how to play, but in practice there is just something about her that people just see through. she picked on misty so hard last season partially because i think she recognized that misty was one of the few people lower than her in the social hierarchy, and it was an effort to keep things that way. but the irony is that, while misty may be more disliked than mari, she's far better at playing the self preservation game, making sure she's never the one who gets cut regardless of her position. god mari is so doomed her efforts are so futile everyone sees the intent behind her actions she is neverrrrr making it out of the wilderness, pit girl or not. she's so awesome.

Adler is a dog guy because he loves the obidence, affection and deference dogs show their masters regardless of how they are treated. A dogs owner is their entire world, they are reliant on them for everything and this is probably appealing for Adler and his need for control. Having a dog strokes his ego both because a dog is obedient and affectionate to it's master, which Adler thinks he is owed and because it affirms his sense of American masculinity. Adler would be one of those dog people that hate cats because you have to respect a cat's boundaries in order for it to love you and you can't control them like you can dogs. Adler likes Bell for the same reason he likes dogs.
