I always pictured the follow up to "do you really remember me" like the iconic Final Fantasy VIII Rinoa & Squall's reunion scene. FF8 is a milestone game title in my life. Aight so ive had this fic idea in my head for awhile now-

So Ford in the middle of his dimensional hopping years goes to a dimension based on greek mythology- or the creatures here bled into greece in our world to become greek mythology, or something of the like, and in his research he ends up stumbling upon Aphrodite- and Aphrodite is going by the whole 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder' rule, and basically shapeshifts into being the person you're most in love with-

and Ford was maybe forewarned about this and is cringing expecting to see 'Bill but not Bill' drinking at the bar with Dionysus only to crakc an eye open and see Stan, like- an amalglamation of the versions of Stan he knows- He's looking like that s1 'losing Carla McCorkle' flashback, where there's visual triggers of his teenage self but he's absolutely an adult- maybe he still has the mullet, and is otherwise an idealized form of Stan at an age Ford never got to see his brother at, only barely younger than him but absolutely inarguably in his peak.

Which he thinks whoever told him about the Aphrodite thing was just fucking with him and that's just a normal shapeshifter or smth but it IS her and what's worse she's INTO Ford and is absolutely willing to fuck him in the form he sees her in
