Thinking back to a few weeks ago where my family and I went to a sushi restaurant and the waiter came up to our table and said "And for the boy?" and I gave her my order then took my hat off and she said "oh im sorry... miss?" and just got extremely confused cause she couldn't figure out if I was a boy or a girl and only got more confused when I responded "yes" to "are you a boy or a girl?". Honestly one of the most gender affirming things ever.

percy doing better than annabeth in college is one my favorite developments in the rrverse. if we reflect on percy and annabeth's academic upbringing. annabeth living at camp allowed her to receive accommodations for her adhd and dyslexia and surround herself with like-minded campers who had the same limitations. whereas percy was ridiculed, belittled, and routinely humiliated because of his adhd and dyslexia. even more so, percy's friends and family leave him out of the loop on so many important issue (no chb orientation film, no information about the great prophecy) which perpetuates his subpar confidence and self-esteem in his skills as a student and a demigod. but going to college at NRU changes his mindset because he receives the accommodations he should have gotten years ago and fucking thrives to the point of getting higher grades than annabeth — a person he deems way smarter and more prepared than him in every way. the most important thing percy is learning now is that a supportive environment makes all the difference, and he is more capable than he initially thought.
#in no way is this me trying to diminsh annabeth's struggles#because she canonically does#but she also has access to resources that accomdate her learning disabilities#whereas percy never did#even in an environment where demigods are supposed to be on equal footing because of their shared struggles#percy often gets the short end of the stick because no has properly prepared him for anything#he canonically has to figure shit out on his own and that pisses me offc#but nru gives him the accommodations and opportunity and environment to thrive#and he does so well that he earns higher grades than annabeth#somebody percy holds in high regard#this development proves percy and annabeth are canonically on par with each other academically and that they always were#what an amazing decision#percy jackon and the olympians#pjo text post#pjo#percy jackson#annabeth chase#percy getting higher grades than annabeth#loves this for him#he deserves to thrive in the mortal world and our boy is doing it

oops I made more. This is part 2 of many?? I really like their friendship and think they have a neat dynamic.
This is a little comic that takes place right after the ending of ISAT, while Dormont is partying. I kind of imagine that Sif thinks the party is a Sensory Nightmare and sneaks out, Odile notices, and decides to sit with him.
I like to think she would try and spend more time quietly with Siffrin after what happened in the game to get them used to the idea of someone taking up space with them and that being okay.
This is like? Vaguely spoilers but I'm mostly planning to talk about them being Sad without mentioning anything specifically that happened in the game. Still tagging spoilers just to be safe =)

i don’t think we talk enough about how sophie copied her life philosophy from a kenny rogers song lmao. how many times do the leverage team pick her up on trying to pass off song lyrics as advice? or plots of films and books as Definitely Real Anecdotes. like they’re all at the bar telling some scary stories that happened to them and suddenly someone interrupts her like "ohhh fuck you that’s The Cask of Amontillado" and everyone groans. hardison sees parker’s notes from being mentored by sophie and about half of it is (admittedly applicable) paraphrased song lyrics.

I'm too tired right now#speaking of. it's my first time drawing sharon I hope she's okay!#yes slayer carries and wears in the nose his 200 spf sunscreen from xrds treasure hunt animation :)#as for the big main picture. it left me quite exhausted and I know the lighting leaves a lot to be desired but I'm proud! learnt a lot#first time drawing blue para too. I hope his metallic sheen is alright#more than aba's skin sheen for sure. I'll improve it in the future! btw tweaked a bit her attire's palette from last time and made her keep#the headband cause trying to figure out how her hair would properly fall was a hassle lmao#fun fact: the bird is an european herring gull#the crab is an edible crab and the palm trees are coconut palm trees with no fruit lol#I wanted to draw fan palms which are a kind of palm tree that deserves more love but the leaf shape was so difficult to draw#I did struggle a lot with these two.. they look more like feathers but again. that can be studied and improved in the future#despite all the lows summertime can have for me whenever it's a nice day and we can go to the beach I feel everything is worth it and will#be okay. hope I could translate that here. hi new people I tend to ramble a lot in my post tags#art tag2b named#sharon
