Letâs talk about Spencer Reidâs love for Penelope Garcia.
From season 1 Garcia and Reid always had a special bond that Reid didnât have with the others. She teased him and scared him like a younger brother and he never seemed to be confused about her intentions; he always knew she was teasing and he responded accordingly. He wasnât afraid to be annoyed with her or to respond, he seemed really comfortable with her.
Whilst Reid was comfortable all of his team members eventually, in season 1, especially at the beginning, he seemed to have some sort of hesitance towards how he responded to them sometimes but he never showed that with Garcia. She also never showed the same hesitance with him: she didnât treat him like the weird little nerdy kid but rather how she treated anyone else, she treated him with the same teasing and flirtatious remarks and she was never careful around him. They both were perfectly comfortable with eachotherâs weirdness, whether it was Reid teasing her about her illegal hacking or Garcia teasing him about being in a âhauntedâ house
We see it in bits and pieces through seasons 1-5 with Reid being by Garciaâs bedside the entire time after she was shot in season 3. Then in season 5 they were left together because Reid couldnât travel due to being shot. Reid is seen doing Garciaâs work with her and the entire time theyâre bickering like siblings. Again, we show a comfort between them that we rarely see Reid show. He isnât nervous in his bickering, heâs willing to meet Garcia right where she is and sheâs more than happy to have him there
We begin to see more from them from this point, with Reid matching Garciaâs phone call energy; âI will be eagerly awaiting your callâ and their teasing remarks between them; âwhat is he doing with their lips?â âmaybe heâs eating themâ âthat image will forever be burned in my memoryâ âyou asked.â
Then season 7 episode 9 you have them both gushing about a friendly ghost together; again just completely enthralled in eachotherâs oddness. In season 9 you have them needing to take the fit test together, here their dynamic is amazing. Again, we see a side to Reid we donât normally see, where heâs willing to talk smack with Garcia and one that really stood out to me was when he touched Garciaâs arm and said âyou work out? Thatâs cool I dontâ. Considering he is very not physically affectionate, this was quite cute to me considering how comfortably he did it
When he gets shot in season 9 sheâs with him the entire time and even protects him by shooting someone which Iâm pretty sure is the first time sheâs ever actually shot a gun
You have them going to conventions together and breaking the law together by breaking and hacking into Government files
Then we have him bringing her a croissant because he heard she was hungry to which she responds âoh you love me and I love you!â To which he nods; again, up to this point heâs never shown such comfort with someone
Then you have him kissing her head and hugging her in season 12; again, consider the fact that heâs a huge germphobey
You have them getting kidnapped together and stressing to eachother how important to the team the other is
And then in season 15 you have her being at the hospital with him and being in charge of talking to Diana about his injuries, further showing how close they are
âI will not be dancing at this wedding by myself, do you understand me Dr Reid?â âYesâ he says with no hesitance or embarrassment
Sorry if I rambled but I just love their relationship so so much

đ¨ Everything we know about Wednesday season 2 (possible spoilers and trigger warnings for violence â don't read this if you don't wanna know anything about season 2. Also, remember that none of this is confirmed yet, everything is from a leaker supposedly working on the set)
1- Xavier left school so his character is completely forgotten
2- Enid is craving affection and attention a lot
3- Enid's scars healed (I'm so sad about that... bye bye our hopes of Wednesday comforting her about it)
4- Enid's hair is a bit shorter, closer to Emma's real haircut. It's still blond. They also talked about giving her a black streak, but they didn't do it. They will possibly add it next season
5- Ajax broke up with Enid because she kept missing their dates and wasn't really involved in their relationship
6- Ajax disappears through the season but is found at the end
7- Enid has a new boyfriend, Maxim (played by Owen Painter)
8- Maxim is predicted to be loved by the fans
9- Maxim is abusive towards Enid (he grabs her a lot and leaves bruises)
10- Wednesday hates Maxim from the start
11- Wednesday is really protective of Enid during this season
12- Enid breaks up with Maxim in episode 4 (I suppose, as it says mid-season) and it doesn't go well (he's really mad and they almost physically fight. Enid uses her claws)
13- After the break up, Maxim becomes very obsessive
14- Wednesday initiates a hug after Enid comes back to the dorm after the break up
15- Enid and Wednesday will investigate together in every episodes except the first one
16- Maxim takes over the Nightshades and kick Bianca out. His father is said to have old views (I guess similar to Crackstone)
17- Bianca will have a lot of scenes. So does Thing
18- Tyler is back and will work with Wednesday. He's not the villain of this season
19- Tyler has a lot of scenes with Bianca's mom
20- Wednesday, Enid, Morticia, Maxim and Barry (Maxim's father and Nevermore's new principal) have the most screentime
21- Enid meets the Addams and Morticia thinks her relationship with Wednesday is stupendous
22- Enid's relationship with her mom changes a lot (good or bad, we don't know)
23- There will be a camping episode taking place at Camp Jericho, where Enid and Wednesday will share a tent
24- There will be a musical number
25- Christopher Lloyd (original movie Uncle Fester) will come back as, apparently, a music teacher
26- Enid will have a major fight against around 5 creatures
27- One of Enid's fight is to protect Wednesday (who is immobilised during the scene)
28- Wenclair share another hug at the end of the season
29- Enid and Wednesday are very close friends at the end of the season. Wenclair is not comfirmed yet for season 3 but they said it's still possible
30- Jenna is producer this season, so everything that happens between Wednesday and Enid has gone through her. She and Emma are most likely the ones to decide if Wenclair will happen or no. Considering they both said in an interview that they would be good together, that the whole cast ships them and that so much fans does too, we are on the right track!
All of this is not officially confirmed. A leaker working on the set posted all this on Reddit in June (from what I understood). Recently, bts pics of Camp Jericho has been shared, confirming what the leaker said about it. So all of this is most likely true, but again, nothing comfirmed.
I really hope it is true, because holy shit, the plot is INSANE. I literally told my best friend I needed a camping scene in season 2 and more drama... well, there we are đ¤đť All this informations I have shared are from the leaker (the post has been deleted on Reddit but you can find some screenshots on @zstronz78's Twitter account)
What are you theories and thoughts about it?

TABOO BREAKER: Another Trill gender bender, âRejoinedâ echoes TREK's legacy of exploring the nature of love.
By Dale Kutzera
Thirty years ago STAR TREK broke a long-standing television taboo by presenting the first interracial kissâa fact Gene Roddenberry often boasted about. Early in DS9âs fourth season a similar taboo fell. Though not the first lesbian kissâLA LAW and ROSEANNE have done it, as did PICKET FENCES (albeit with the lights out)âit was certainly the most passionate. For 15 incredible seconds, Jadzia Dax and the wife of a former host kissed. And not a closed-mouth kiss, turned away from the camera as between Kirk and Uhura. This was passion.
The writers did not set out to create a âgayâ show with âRejoined.â The original story involved a male lover of one of Daxâs previous hosts and how their renewed attraction broke a Trill taboo against relationships with lovers from past lives. âWe had talked for a long time about doing the show about Dax and a former spouse,â said staff writer/producer Robert Hewitt Wolfe, âand we always suspected that was a Trill cultural taboo. But how do you make the audience understand that even though Dax is doing something they would find acceptable, itâs against the norms of social behavior for her society? The story came before the decision to do the same sex couple. It was always an analogy to the way homosexual relationships are treated in our society. Trills have no reason to be against same sex couples, but what a better way to show that they are a totally different, alien society than to see them reacting in self-righteous indignation just because they were lovers in a previous life? That society should dictate who you should and should not love is a sad thing and thatâs what the show is about. We didn't sit down and say âLets do a gay show.â
Credit Ron Moore with taking Rene Echevarria's story and re-shaping it by making the past lover a woman. âInitially it was a man, she was a woman, and here they are,â said Moore. âI remember reading the story and thinking about it. Literally, I was on my way home and started to think this would be a much stronger storyâit would really be a stand-out episode of the seriesâIf this was a woman. Play it as a woman and really go for it. I called Ira from my car and he was receptive and the next day we just dumped it on the staff. It got batted around and there were reservations here and there and then everybody signed on board.â
âRon is the one that made it happen," said Echevarria. âPeople had talked about doing a so-called lesbian angle in other contexts. Ron is the one who brought it together and said this is the show. The taboo was Michael Pillerâs idea and Ron merged it, saw how they tracked and said, âWe will do the show and never even mention the fact that these are two women. This taboo tracks with our own taboos or many audience membersâ taboos about homosexuality and the argument will track straight down the line and it will be great.ââ
Realizing that, as in any story of rejoined lovers, it would inevitably lead to a passionate kiss, Moore wrote a memo to Ira Behr and Rick Berman justifying what could be DS9âs most controversial episode. âWe knew it was going to be a controversial episode if we went for it, so we clearly had to go to Rick and the studio,â said Moore. âRick questioned us. He wanted to make sure we knew what we were doing and why. He focused in on it and then he went to the studio and their reaction was the same: âWhy? How is this going to work? How are you going to handle it? Is this going to be just salacious? Is this going to be tasteful? And how far are you going to go?ââ
The studio was concerned that some viewers may infer that the two women were having sex, and worried that some affiliate stations would not air the episode. âIt really boiled down to how far are you going to go and how are you going to handle it?" continued Moore. âThe fact that this show was not known as NYPD BLUE and was this shocking the audience and taking them by surprise? I think we pushed it in the kiss scene. That is a powerful, amazing scene. You canât get around that. That is the show stopper. It was not a gratuitous sceneâI thought I would have done it if that character had been a man. So I didnât think we were doing it to grab attention. It was the right thing to do in the story and itâs going to hit you in a more powerful way. One of the arguments we used was this is part of our franchise legacy. The original series prided itself on TVâs first interracial kiss. We've been priding ourselves on that for 30 years, so why not take the next step and be true to our ideals and convictions. STAR TREK has a point of view, a not completely middle-of-the-road view of the future. This is part of our view.â
Before proceeding, the general premise was run past actress Terry Farrell. âIra called me last summer to say Michael [Dorn] was on the show and would I mind kissing a woman?" said Farrell. âAt the time I said, âAs long as sheâs beautiful.â I was just being silly. Then I thought as soon as you get the script I want to see it, because if it is anything sensationalized or a joke I donât want to do it. [Ira said], âNo it will be a love story with integrity.â And I thought it was.â
With the green light given, Moore and Echevarria began work on the script. âThis was a love story and the trick was to write it as a love story and forget the fact that she was a woman,â said Moore. âThe backstory helped in that they were married once. They were husband and wifeâwrite them that way. Two people who really shared something. One of them died. They never got to say good-bye and years later, in different bodies, they run into each other again and play that out. The thing with the Trill taboo was a perfect metaphor for issues of sexual tolerance and intolerance and we played that taboo without really playing our taboo."
The writers tried not to focus on the fact that both lovers were women, and simply wrote the story as a straight romance. âItâs easy to do on paper because the name Lenara is not one you really associate with women anyway,ââ Moore said. âWe made it up. So on paper itâs easy to forget and just write this love story and this taboo is what weâre dealing with. Itâs not until youâre sitting in the room watching casting sessions that you got two women playing these scenes and you go, âWow, this is really going to hit you in a different way when you see it.â But we tried to stay true to just telling the story and not going for the easy shots.â
âI was excited, because they were brave,â said Farrell of the writers. âIf I were to change the names to Frank and Sara I totally believed that love story. It didnât matter what the names were, these two people were in love with each other. I was so happy that I was the one who was willing to fight for the love. I knew people would relate to me. And at the end I was so sad. No matter what anybody else says, it made me really proud.â
For Farrell the episode also offered her an opportunity to express on film her off-screen respect for Avery Brooks. In a moment of critical decision, as Dax contemplates breaking the Trill taboo and throwing her future into chaos, Sisko advises her against the hasty decision, but vows to stand by her whatever her choice may be. âI didnât even need to do homework on that scene. I just used my relationship with Avery. The first year was very difficult to adjust to the dialog. People got impatient with me, other directors and other actors. I was 28 years old. but I felt like I was 18. I lost my confidence. I must have driven them nuts, but Avery was always very supportive and strong. He really helped me build my confidence. Heâs strong and silent. I donât know anything about him personally, but heâs been incredibly giving to me emotionally. We cried a lot on that scene. A lot more than you saw. It felt weird not crying too hard, but holding back. It helped to have a director [Brooks] you trust. I needed his opinion on that.â
Director Brooks had Farrell and gueststar Susanna Thompson (who earned thepraise of everyone involved in the show) rehearse the critical scene up to the momentof the kiss. The actual description of the scene in the script was general, leaving it up to the actors and director to stage. âI said it was a kiss they have been waiting a hundred years for. Itâs a powerful moment, let them do their magic on the set,â said Moore. âAvery and the two actresses staged it and pretty much it was left as Avery, Terry, and Susanna wanted it.â
âIt described I was touching her face and whispered in her earâher husband said it turned her on,â said Farrell. âWe rehearsed up to the kiss then stopped. I thought it was great Avery directed it. because he was really into being honest and telling the truth, trying to pretend weâre not aliens in outer space, and being honest in the emotions. Avery talked about being passionate and sensuous. What was really hard for me was it starts out in my close-up, then a two-shot and the kiss. She said one word, then gotcha. We wouldnât dissect this. If I were kissing a man we would say, âNo tongues? Okay, no tongues.â Avery didn't want them to cut it down too much. We wanted to make sure that didn't happen. You don't go through telling that kind of story and then say, âWe canât be very brave.ââ
The writers and cast were pleased and a bit surprised that the kiss was kept almost intact through the editing process. âWe saw the kiss and thought, âBoy how is Rick going to edit this,â said Echevarria. âWe were just so gratified and thrilled to see that he did not pull back on the emotion of the moment. He allowed it to happen. It's by far the most passionate gay kiss I've ever seen on television.â
The reaction to the episode was predictably mixed. Some affiliates did not air the episode. Others excised the scene with the kiss. Mail to the writing staff was heavier than for any other episode they had been involved in, and much of it negative. "My idea that sci-fi fans are socially far-thinking, that they are in many ways liberal, leftist, humanist, whatever, was totally blown apart by some of the incredible comments we received,â said Behr. âThereâs a strong conservative strain in the American soul and maybe itâs there in sci-fi, too. I donât think we were saying anything that was that extraordinarily out of line, but maybe we were and that's pretty sad.â
Not all the mail was negative, however, as Echevarria remembered. âI would say it was ten-to-one proâsaying thank you very much and you donât know how important this was. Letters from teachers, counselors, groups that counsel gay teensâsaying how important something like this is. My mother was just scandalized. For the first time ever she culled me and said, âI can't believe you did that. It's so bad and so bad for the children of America.â I couldn't have been happier.â
âIt was a challenge emotionally for me to have a relationship with a woman,â said Farrell. "It wasn't anything I ever thought Iâd want to do in my career. I've taken jobs to pay the rent. It was a great feeling to get to do a show that was that special as an actress. A lot of people go through their whole career and donât get to do something that controversial or with that artistic integrity. Iâm very proud of that.â

15 Facts About E. Jean Carrollâs Allegations Against Trump the Media Donât Want You to Know
1.  Bergdorf Goodman has no surveillance video of the alleged incident.
2. There are zero witnesses to the alleged sexual attack.
3.  Carroll first came forward â conveniently â with the allegations while promoting her book What Do We Need Men For? in 2019, which featured a list of âThe Most Hideous Men of My Life.â
4. Carroll was unable to remember when this alleged attack even occurred. She told her lawyer in 2023, âThis question, the when, the when, the date, has been something Iâve [been] constantly trying to pin down.â She has jumped years â originally beginning with 1994, then moving to 1995, and even floating to 1996. She cannot remember the season in which the alleged attack occurred either.
5. The Donna Karan blazer dress she claims to have worn during the alleged incident was not even available at the time of her claims. Trump Attorney Boris Epshteyn told reporters, âShe said, âThis is the dress I wore in 1994.â They went back, they checked. The dress wasnât even made in 1994.â
âAnd thatâs why the dateâs moved around. This is the 80s. Is it the 90s? Is it the 2000s? President Trump has consistently stated that he was falsely accused, and he has the right to defend himself,â he added.
6.  She never came forward with these allegations over the years despite constantly being open about sexuality, posting things that were very sexual in nature on social media â many of which Trump has shared. They include remarks such as âHow do you know your âunwanted sexual advanceâ is unwanted, until you advance it?â and âSex Tip I Learned From My Dog: When in heat, chase the male until he collapses with exhaustion ⌠then jump him!â
7.  She said she was never raped, telling the New York Timesâ podcast, The Daily,âEvery woman gets to choose her word. Every woman gets to choose how she describes it. This is my way of saying it. This is my word. My word is âfight.â My word is not the âvictimâ word. I have not â I have not been raped,â she continued. âI have â something has not been done to me. I fought. Thatâs the thing.â
8.  She named her cat âVagina.â âHer dog, or her cat, was named âVagina.â The judge wouldnât allow us to put that in â all of these things â but with her, they could put in anything: Access Hollywood,â Trump told CNN.
9.  Joe Tacopina, an attorney for Trump, pointed out in May 2023 that Carrollâs entire story has incredible similarities to a 2012 episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. In that episode, titled âTheatre and Tricks,â an individual talks about a rape fantasy in Bergdorf Goodman â the same department store where Carroll claims the incident took place.
10. Speaking of shows, Carroll loved Trumpâs show The Apprentice.
âI was a big fan of the show. Very impressed by it,â Carroll said on the witness stand, adding that she âhad never seen such a witty competition on TV, and it was about something worthwhile, competing.â
11.  Carroll made a joke associating sex with Bergdorf Goodman in a November 1993 edition of Elle, which was before the alleged Trump attack took place. As Breitbart News detailed:
Carroll was responding to a letter from a female reader concerned that she was having trouble achieving orgasm through sexual intercourse alone while the reader said that she could climax through foreplay. âIs there any way I could learn to reach orgasm through sex?â asked the reader in the November 1993 edition. âMaybe books I could read?â Carroll replied with the following advice (emphasis added): Dear Snowed Under: Stop flagellating yourself. Gadzooks! At least you have orgasms. And if that isnât spontaneous sex I donât know what is. Most women (about 70 percent) experience difficulties climaxing through intercourse alone. So youâre perfectly normal. Begin by reading For Yourself by Dr. Lonnie Barbach. Sheâll give you excellent instructions on how to have an orgasm during intercourse. Then after 313 queenhell love-wiggles, move on to Gretta Garboâs favorite love position â the top. (In erotic scenes, Garbo is always above the man. So are Sharon Stone, Bette Midler and Katherine Hepburn). Indeed, this location works better for women than the fourth floor of Bergdorfâs.
12.  Carroll is financially backed by anti-Trump Democrat megadonor Reid Hoffman, who has openly admitted to visiting convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epsteinâs private island.
13. Democrat party activists back her as well, as Breitbart News detailed:
Indeed, one of Carrollâs attorneys is Roberta Kaplan â a Democrat Party activist who led the group Timeâs Up. She left the activist group after it was revealed she was aiding former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo in attempting to discredit the Democratâs accusers. It served as a great irony as Timeâs Up seeks to defend women from what it claims is discrimination and harassment. This fact has led to mounting speculation that Kaplan only gets involved in cases that she views as politically expedient. Further, Federal District Judge Lewis Kaplan is overseeing the process and has connections to Carrollâs other attorney, Shawn Crowley. She was actually a law clerk for Judge Kaplan, and he officiated her wedding. That aside, Trump has denied knowing the left-wing activist as the only evidence of any contact is a single picture with Carroll greeting Trump and his ex-wife Ivana at an event greeting line over 35 years ago. Carroll has yet to provide solid evidence of this alleged encounter and will not use the dress that she claims had DNA on it from this alleged incident. Even Trump publicly said the dress should be part of the case. Further, there are no eyewitnesses of this alleged incident, which supposedly occurred at the popular New York City department store.
14.  The lawsuit was only able to proceed after Democrats created the Adult Survivors Act in 2022. She conveniently pursued this suit in November following the law going into effect, which allowed her to avoid the statute of limitations for this case.
15. Carroll once said, âMost people think of rape as sexy.â
Donald Trump Jr. also retweeted a list of facts about Carroll, urging others to take a look:
- She couldn't recall the date, month, season, or year the incident happened -
She never told anyone about it, despite being publicly obsessed with her own sexuality -
The dress she claims to have been wearing didn't exist at the time -
Her description of the dressing room at Bergdorf Goodman was inaccurate, making her sequence of events impossible -
Her lawsuit was bankrolled by Jeffrey Epstein pal and Democrat (and Nikki Haley) mega-donor Reid Hoffman -
Democrats created a law (The Adult Survivors Act in 2022) to enable her lawsuit to proceed - Her accusation is the exact plotline of an episode of Law & Order (one of her "favorite shows") -
Trump's Apprentice was also one of her favorite shows -
She has a history of falsely accusing men of r*pe, including Les Moonves - She told Anderson Cooper, "most people think of r*pe as being sexy. Think of the fantasies." -
She made a career promoting promiscuity, even writing glowingly of sexual assault and naming her cat Vagina
We owe Stalin and Hitler a huge apology. We are ever so bad as they ever were. This isn't Justice. Its punishment for for disobeying the deep state elites.

RAMBLING THOUGHTS AFTER FINISHING PART TWO. GONNA ADDRESS MY P1 THOUGHTS FIRST. SPOILER WARNING.
1 & 2: I think Debling couldâve worked in the second half, and Iâm kinda sad Cressida didnât get a happy ending. The Creloise fell of a CLIFF after ep 5 but I think it could still be saved
5: no cishet man has ever loved his wife more than Anthony Bridgerton Iâm gonna be ill
6 & 12: kanthonyâs absence was felt BAD in the finale, I think their reactions to LW were sorely needed. Also Jonny and Simone have both said theyâll be at every siblingâs wedding and stick around for years but they missed Francescaâs??? Also felt their absence too much then. Theyâre both booked and busy I think weâll continue to only get a couple episodes a season from them
8: Francesca did get to thrive happy in pt 2 my baby I love her
9: I think they managed to disconnect the mondrich plot even further like đ once again, I donât mind them their plot just feels very empty
10: Pen and Delacroix CONTINUE to be my fave duo I love them so freaking much and they can never get rid of it
13: Portiaâs growth this season continued to be 10/10 I loved her and Penelopeâs relationship it really showed what itâs like to be closely related to people you oppose and the process of needing to forgive and understand them for your own peace of mind
14: that was not how I was expecting Colin to find out about Whistledown
15: Marcus felt a little rushed in part two but I think I need to watch the whole season together to fully decide
17: this was indeed the longest 27 days of my life I got Covid day after it dropped lmfao
MY ~NEW~ THOUGHTS:
We finally got character development from Cressida and if they write her out Iâll be inconsolable (as will Jessica Madsen)
I hope they paid Golda Rosheuvel good for her feet exposure. Worth more than titties in this economy
I feel the need to tell everyone that ÂŁ5000 in 1815 is in the realm of ÂŁ500,000 today and we cannot brush over the fact Penelope has made herself the equivalent of a literal millionaire
Anthony has two moods âIâm obsessed with my wifeâ âI want to win this gameâ like it is comical how drastically different his facial expression is in the game of charades compared to pretty much every other scene
Anthony saying the marriage is perfect and not hard work and Kate being like BOY I will humble you,,,, doing the lordâs work I love her so much
At some points I felt like Francesca was fighting Anthony for âVioletâs least favourite childâ award lmao
John saying heâs off to look at the wainscotting was unfairly funny
Cressida in the red dress is even better than I imagined fuck even if sheâs not gay then I am
Peneloise back together the universe is healing I love my babies all we need now is creloise lovers and peneloise friendship simultaneously I donât like it being one or the other sue me
However much Brimsley is getting paid isnât enough,,,, Hugh Sachs the man that you are
I adored Penelopeâs wedding dress so much and as bitter as I am still about no kanthony wedding in s2, it felt kind of right somehow for Polin to be the first wedding we properly see in this show
Most of the costumes and makeup feel like they got worse,,,,, big âI hired a 14 year oldâ energy. I donât need historical accuracy but I would like a modicum of care and the costume/hair/makeup dept looking at a single historical reference from before 1850,,,, please
We all got the bi Benedict weâve been asking for and I appreciate it, and recognise that he needed Tilley to explore that, but I still wouldâve preferred if they first main queer experience was not a threesome
If they go straight into benophie in s4 (which idk, Iâm so torn bc I feel like F, E and B all could work well next season) then I also feel like bi Benedict was just them throwing a bone for 5 mins but meant nothing
The CONTENTIOUS Michaela Stirling,,,,, I was undecided until I saw it but that was the definition of gay panic from Francesca and it worked so well I am so excited.
As your resident peerage expert, it is much easier for women to inherit titles in Scotland than England so I wonder (not that anyone on this show knows anything) if that was a reason they chose Francesca to be sapphic [general peerage info and female inheritance info if you care]
On the above, if they can canonically end racism with one marriage then they can end homophobia with one marriage as well
We all know Eloise was the easy and obvious choice to be the queer love story but part of me does kind of like them not taking the easy route, and them going something more unexpected, but that doesnât mean I donât want Creloise/Sapphic El like they had eight children letâs be honest
Finchâs sneeze and Phillipsâs ânow Varely! The bugs!â were unfairly funny
Everything Lady Danbury said to Penelope about suspecting her and what not felt very in character and you can fight with the wall idc
Did they tell us the name of Polinâs baby boy???
Hyacinth saying she thinks of Gregory as the family pet,,,,, girl you an icon walking amongst mere mortals
Predictions I got right:
Anthony didnât kill Colin, but âare you gonna duel your own brotherâ lmao I was on the right track
I knew Polin would win the Featherington baby race and I love that for them (but why were Prudence and Phillipa pregnant most of the season, barely showing, Kate was showing almost immediately, and then in the epilogue the sisters all had babyâs similar-ish ages???? Give the writers room a calendar please)
I SAID FROM DAY DOT THAT THE FURNITURE THEY BROKE FROM SEX WAS A CHAISE I CANT FIND THE POST BUT I KNEW IT I FUCKING KNEW IT WHERE DO I COLLECT MY PRIZE SOME OF YOUR GUESSES WERE TRULY FUCKING COOKED
Okay that was too long if you made it this far Iâll make you cookie ily

The fact that Aegon loving his children itâs even book canon. TGC is describing Aegonâs personality as it is hinted in the book and yet people is mad.
Tom literally acknowledges he is not a good parent but he loves his children. It makes total sense that he would have a complicated relationship with fatherhood based on how his father treated him. Or that in his mind, he wants to be better than Viserys.
Thank you anon! You're exactly right, we've always known from the book that he loved his children. Adding onto that is that we have barely seen 20 minutes of Aegon until now, if the early reviews are true we'll get 15 minutes of Aegon in the first episode ALONE. Of course we find out much more about the character, we barely know anything about him!
This made me wonder; what do we know about Aegon?
We meet Aegon for the first time in episode 3 of season 1. He is just a two year-old who plays with a wooden dragon toy and yet the older characters around him only see him as a threat, a pawn or, by his father, as a replacementâ watching the episode it's clear to me that Viserys wanted Baelon, Aegon cannot be Baelon. It's pretty telling that the only positive on-screen interactions Aegon has with his father are in this episode. He is a little kid still, Viserys can project his wishes and fantasies about Baelon onto him, something he isn't able to do once his son is grown up.
I think it's pretty crucial to understand this part of Aegon's and Viserys' relationshipâ the perfect ideal of Baelon (he killed the only woman he ever loved for the perfect son; you cannot come back from that) stands between them, like a shadow Aegon could never escape and a standard he could never meet.
We don't really see Aegon again until episode 6â he is a teenager now and thus a completely different person. The little baby from episode 3 has been shaped by years of neglect, unfulfilled expectations, and the toxic dynamics within the family. What has he become? He is a 15 year old with problematic relationship to alcohol that is used as the punching bag of the family. He jacks off from windows (welcome back Roman Roy!), leers at maids and bullies his younger brother.
Teen Aegon is perceived as a disappointment by his grandfather, who sees him just as a weakling and a pawn to be controlled (a belief he still holds at the start of season 2 apparently). His mother projects her own ambitions, resentments and fears onto him.
These behaviors are all very troubling and someone should've done something to prevent these habits from festering within him; no one did. I honestly feel like no one really cares about him that much.
And yet, there is also so much postitive to be said about this iteration of him too, glimpses of Aegon's potential for goodness and his capacity for loyalty. You might call it naivety, but Aegon seems to believe in the good in peopleâ he trusted Rhaenyra not to hurt him or his brothers if she was to become queen (something I agree with). He also seems to treat his nephews well enough, he doesn't seem to care about the bastard-allegations -> he also seems to be friends with bastards as an adult! Eddard Waters belongs to his entourage, this informs his characterâ yes he is an entitled prince, but there's also an element to him that is endearingly down-to-earth.
Another notable example is in episode 7, he decided to protect his mother after Aemond blamed him for spreading rumors about his nephews' legitimacy . He never cared about the rumors, yet he stood his ground and shielded his mother when faced with his father's wrath.
Ty Tennant does such a great job here. The scene highlights his complexityâ he is not simply a drunken disappointment, a villain or a victim, but a young man trapped in a situation he doesn't seem to be able to get out of.
When we next see Aegon, he is in his early twenties, and the toll his upbringing took on him is evident. His introduction in episode 8 is a hefty one. He is shown sleeping off a hangover, his drinking habit from his youth has fully established itself in him. His mother yells at him, tries to get him to understand the consequences of his behaviorâ he has raped a maid, something that, disturbingly, is not new for him. This moment speaks volumes about the man the little boy from episode 3 has become: flawed, morally compromised, and numbed by his vices.
Further even, Aegon engages in activities that reflect a deep-seated cruelty and a disconnection from othersâ watching toddlers rip each other apart in brutal fights shows his general desensitization and apathy to everything. These behaviors are obviously unacceptable, but this is a fictional character we are talking about and you know what these behaviors tell me about him? These are just manifestation of the dehumanizing effects of his upbringing.
He is desperate to be loved but destined to be hated â Tom Glynn Carney
Because characters can be multi-faceted and complex, Aegon fights off insecurities and still yearns for love and acceptance from those around him. Him acting out like this can be read as misguided attempts to drown out the background noise, to try to assert control in a world where he feels constantly undermined and unloved. However, his actions only serve to alienate him further from the people he wants to be accepted by.
Aegon's aversion to the throne and his rejection of the responsibilities that come with it are just other manifestations of his deep-seated apathy. He despises the very idea of kingship and what it represents. He doesn't want to take up responsibility become a pawn, he yearns to run away but he himself knows that he will never be able to run.
The carriage ride to the sept and the coronation are gifts that keep on giving. It's all so horribly tragic. He never wanted this. Crowning him will kill him, he knows this is his end deep down!
He is so preoccupied with what his father wanted, Baelon is absolutely still haunting the narrativeâ his father's desire for him to embody virtues he never possessed or could aspire to (BAELON) are still at the forefront of his thoughts.
As he walks to receive the crown, he is literally crying, this single moment encapsulates it all so well. He is man who, despite his privileged position, is trapped by the very power and responsibility he was born into but never desired for.
But then, at the very end of episode 9, we see a shift in Aegonâ something else to him that will be at the forefront of his character in season 2. He finally gets the adoration and the purpose he always sought after with the crown. The moment he realizes that the smallfolk is cheering for him is the moment the apathy that defined him up until now begins to lose its grip, replaced by newfound determination.
This change in Aegon will be furthered by the death of Jaehaerys, a source of pride and a reminder for him that he is capable to create and care for something precious and pure (thank you TGC) -> I won't go into this deeper, let's wait until the season airs.
In conclusion, a wise woman once said that apathy is death. For so much of his life Aegon embodied apathy, only for the very thing he feared most (kingship) to make him rethink everything. Aegon will be driven by his determination, but this path will lead to his destruction, consuming him until there is barely anything left of him. It will ultimately tear him apart; he is both redeemed and ruined by the weight of a crown he never wanted.

Hermit-a-Day May, Day 15: FalseSymmetry. Today's style/medium is She-Ra and the Princesses of Power! My thought process for this matchup wasn't particularly profound--I knew I wanted to do someone in She-Ra style, because I adore the show, and the queen of hearts, heads, and body parts seemed fitting for a series about a bunch of strong, terrifying women, one of whom wields a frick-off giant magic sword. Details and references under the read more!
So... I don't really have specific references I can point to, because I just turned on season 1 of She-Ra and watched almost to the end of season 3 by the time I was done with the drawing. Any time I needed to check a style thing, I would just...let the current episode play until I saw an example of the way the animators drew that specific thing. That being said, False's face was primarily referenced from Adora, her knees from Glimmer, and her hands from Entrapta because Entrapta was the first person to have a good shot of their hands while I was looking. Here's a couple pictures of the general style, if you want to judge for yourself how I did at emulating it:
Additional references include False's Minecraft skin (of course) and several pictures of myself doing the pose, complete with sword.
She-Ra's style is very smooth and relatively simple, with broad stretches of plain colors. Shading is rare and usually only for temporary lighting effects, so I left my drawing unshaded. Everything is just so clean, because...it's an animated show and animating fiddly details sucks. I really enjoy She-Ra's character design and art style, so it was a ton of fun to get to try it out for myself.
I had to pay extra attention to the eyes and ears, two of the most distinctive She-Ra style hallmarks in my opinion--as well as the iconic solid shaded blush across the cheeks and nose, but that part was easy. I also had to use a smoother inking brush than my normal toothy ink pen, which meant that inking/lining took forever. That is why this is nearly two hours late. Don't look at me.
Fun fact if you read this far: Catra is around 72% of the reason I finally realized/admitted I was bi at the tender age of like.... 17. She was just too pretty for me to stay in denial.
I feel like I'm forgetting something but it's 3am so I'm just gonna hit post. Cheers!

jwct season two review!! spoilers below!!
to start off, I really enjoyed this season! it definitely had some weak spots, but overall wasn't a bad season
the animation is definitely the first thing I want to bring up. it was absolutely beautiful. the colors and lighting were stunning, and the way everything moved made it feel a bit more real. I'd like to give a special shout out to any scene involving water because, one, the water was animated extremely well, and two, the way the characters looked after getting wet was a huge upgrade to jwcc
speaking of the characters, I want to talk about them a bit! this is going to be a bit of a mix between good and bad
darius: unfortunately, darius felt kinda flat this season. before the initial release, the show was advertised around him, and he shone his way thru season one. he had conflicts, he had emotions, he an arc. in season two, he felt kind of like a side character. only watching the season once so far, the only memorable moments I remember are him trying to bond with zayna and that extremely awkward flashback of his confession (which is a whole other thing I will get to). other than that, he didn't really have much going on. there was no actual story; no arc. maybe when I do a rewatch, something else will stand out to me
sammy: unfortunately, sammy's story this season also felt kinda weak. for starters, she didn't get to kick a single ass. I feel like her whole arc was just being attached to zayna. she clearly got very emotional about the mballo family, so I guess I was just hoping they would elaborate a bit more on what's going on with her own. I also definitely do think she saw a bit of herself in zayna, so I was hoping that would go somewhere, too. I was really happy about her being a canon vegetarian, though
yaz: yaz, as always, was an icon. she was THE character this season. she was so good at reading people and noticing they weren't okay, and then she tried to help her friends, no matter how much they refused to communicate. a moment of appreciation for her patience when dealing with kenji and ben, because they were not making it easy for her
also her solo episode!!!!! was insane!!!!!! it was literally never ending tension, and good god nothing was going right for her, and yet she kept going. she kept fighting. that episode was also a really good example of how much she's grown. no matter what was thrown at her, she didn't let herself fall into a state of panic and irrational thoughts
ben: I loved his arc. he was put in such an insanely messy and complicated situation, and mixing that with his anxiety and paranoia, of course he'd struggle with it. they did a good job at making the audience understand his thought process. he had to choose between telling the group their dead friend is actually alive because he saw her in the background of one video, or holding back this info until he got more solid proof. then, said dead friend video calls him and begs him not to say anything. that only made it more difficult for him, because he was 100% sure she was alive then, but was asked to not tell. watching him fall deeper and deeper into a state of panic absolutely crushed me
kenji: oh kenji, kenji, kenji. I don't even know where to begin with him, so I guess I'll start with the overall character. to be completely honest, there were moments (especially in the middle of the season) where he just did not feel like kenji. he was abrasive and just seemed off somehow. I'm not gonna go too much into that, though, because most people aren't the same person at 22 that they were when they 15. he has also been through an insane amount of stuff and was at a point where he was overwhelmed with emotions, but was trying to convince both his friends and himself that he wasn't
now his arc is a different story. I like where they took it (in a way that added complexity to an already complex character, not in a yippee!! kenji wants to kill himself!! way). the arc itself was hard, and absolutely depressing, to watch. the way he kept throwing himself in danger's way as if he had a death wish was absolutely heart wrenching. then when he realized what he had been doing and how it affected others, and when he said "I don't know how much more I can take" I wanted to rip him through the screen and give him a big hug
brooklynn: loved loved LOVED her storyline. I was so happy to see her side of the story and how she ended up where she did. the first scene I want to talk about is when she wanted to see her family and friends, she wanted to reach out, but realizing that it could potentially put them in danger, she solidified her decision to stay "dead." I loved that scene so much because it knocks out all of those "heartless brooklynn" theories. she faked her death for them, not to hurt them
I loved that they had moments of focus where she adapted to her new limb difference, and that she was allowed to grieve her missing arm. it felt real and human. also watching her ability to manipulate others and make her way into those different situations was so extremely fascinating. like she is an amazing investigative journalist
also the final scene, where she went with soyona. as agonizing as it was to watch, I'm actually glad she made that decision. it wouldn't have felt realistic for her to choose her friends, not after everything she had gone through to even get there. she was in too deep, and it was very brooklynn of her to continue the investigation instead of going back to her old life. I feel that giving bumpy's egg to the others was her little sign saying "I'm still in here"
ok moving on!
there's also some good and some bad when it comes to the way they told the story
for the good, I really liked the way they switched back and forth between brooklynn and the others. it was a good way to keep up with the timeline while also filling in gaps (ex: the crate moving into the pen just long enough to get them out only to find out brooklynn was on the controls)
on the other hand, the story in the middle of the season (more specifically eps 4, 5, 6), felt like it was moving a bit slow at times. certain things seemed dragged out and there was a lot of filler time. the first episode and the last four did a really good job at avoiding that. the stakes were high and the scenes were so full of tension and ominousity that I was drawn in just about the entire time
now for random little things
I loved the inclusion of the mballo family. it was so refreshing to get new characters that didn't have bad intentions, and I feel like they were exactly what the five needed in that moment
going off of that, I absolutely adored zayna!! she was such a good inclusion. she was determined and strong-willed while also still being a kid. her sarcastic personality (towards darius specifically) was a good way to bring in some light humor too
geba!!! that's all just geba
also the eyeless leucistic baryonyx. I felt so bad for the poor thing knowing that she was intentionally created to be that way. her interactions with the characters were absolutely terrifying, though, and when she communicated with the acrociraptor???? I didn't think it could get more intense
I was actually losing my mind when the baryonyx and red were hunting the nublar five with all the lights turned off. that was another extremely well done scene
the darius confession flashback was..... something. definitely NOT how I was expecting them to go about that scene. season one made it seem like she had been staying with him for a while and he slowly developed feelings that way and eventually she caught on. but that flashback threw all of that away. like she clearly hadn't been there very long and darius had already fallen HARD, and it just seemed out of character for him to insist kenji didn't love her that much. the whole thing was just ugh
the video call flashback was great tho!! it was nice to see they still continued those calls
ben and kenji!!!!!! no but I was actually obsessed with what they did with their relationship this season. the bickering, the divorced couple vibes, and of course the heart to heart. I've been waiting years for that to happen and it did. just for their relationship to go to shambles the next episode đ
but on that note I will say the reveal to kenji was set up so extremely well. being able to see and hear ben and brooklynn but they don't know he's there, and then everything he does witness is out of context, so he builds up his own conclusion. him confronting ben was so intense like godddd. I couldn't stand the pain in both of their faces. when kenji cracked the glass??? imagine if he had actually aimed for bens face
on the other hand, the reveal to the rest was kinda meh. I just felt like they could've done more with it, but hey, I guess it's realistic. not everything is going to happen under dramatic circumstances
speckles â¤ď¸ (just call me kenji the way I'm attached to that egg)
I loved to see some behaviors from nublar come back!! like yaz going for casual runs through the forest with dinosaurs and darius creating another field guide. I missed dino nerd darius
also the roar identification competition they were having in the beginning was so funny but also such a them thing to do
wish brooklynn would've kept her grey graphic tee (I think it said kroxic??). I liked it more than the plain navy one (/lh)
speaking of clothes, why did they change for that one episode then immediately change back??? felt like a waste of those models (/lh)
anyway I think that's all!! I might come back and edit if I think of anything else to add

Recap of IWTV Screening and Conversation at 92stY
(Please dont repost/reupload my pics or vids from here or IG anywhere else. Sharing/linkinh is ok. Thanks!)
I started the day with a fang gang meetup hosted by Black Girl Talks Fangs. The restaurant was cute and the food great. I'm not a big wine drinker but got a blood red Chateau in honor of the occasion. After, we headed over to the event space.
In my experience attending different events there, the actors typically come in just before the event starts or a few minutes into the screening.
In this case- it was both.
Eric strolled up super casual and had a convo with myself and a few other fans asking if we had read the books and what we were looking forward to. He gave a parting message that the season is amazing and he is not just saying that because he is part of it. I believe him. He was super personable and down to earth.
Delainey arrived next and again kind and generous with her time. She has a very chill energy. Her outfit was more casual this day but I thought chic and the face card never declines. Her makeup artist does her right! And can we talk about that sleek ass ponytail
She complimented my cosplay and said she thinks my beret might be the screen accurate one!
She asked to touch it and said mine was softer!
She also said Carol Cutshall gifted her the beret so she owns Claudia's.
I put this cosplay together in 3 weeks which is barely enough time. Thankfully I had the idea knocking around since October when we first saw this fit in the trailer that dropped at NYCC 23.
Myself and a few fans waited till about 15 minutes into the start of the screening before we gave up on waiting for Jam Reiderson.
While running to the screening I nearly literally ran into Rolin. I asked for a quick pic which he obliged.
The episode was amazing. Very much on par of season 1 so far. Can't wait to see the full thing. Delainey fit into Claudia seamlessly.
The panel itself was great as well. I have a few vids in my IWTV highlight on IG and a few others in an upcoming youtube video I will make AFTER the episode drops. There are some spoiler bits plus 92Y is dropping the full panel too after the ep airs.
Highlights include watching Jam Reiderson literally communicate telepathically- what was the fun on set story?!
Sam slapping Jacobs' lower inner thigh in front of god (Rolin) and everyone.
Working together is like putting on an old glove. An old sock?! Lol what. 'Is that dirty?'
Assad trauma dumping on main. "Armands lost...like me." "I'm intimidated by the cast" Sir please!
Assad also being spicy saying he thinks Armands memory of Lestat is pretty accurate. Drag him kingđ
Delainey and Jacob gushing about how they immediately bonded and established their father/daughter/sibling vibes.
Eric calling Jam puppies and Jacob saying "I'm a grown man a parent"lol Sir you are a baby girl as evidenced by
Rolin saying that's a book and this is a show. To me that said was book lovers have the book and you always will but this is a new thing that respects the source but isn't tied down to every single detail.
Then Sam saying there are contradictions even within the series. Please lets talk about it.
And I love this new narrative everyone is spinning, even Sam, who seemed to be in the Lestat is right and Louis is lying boat last press go round. Now everyone is saying there is no right and wrong or truth and lies-the story is told by different people with different perspectives and that's all. Which yes! that's ALWAYS how I saw it! Just because Lestat became the main character and most favored doesn't mean he is infallible.
Jacob and that plushie. Who would have imagined he'd love it so much. Another fan was coming with their Lestat. I don't know if they had intentions of giving it to Sam but sadly they didn't make it.
After the panel I went back to the spot and aimed to get Jacobs signature on my Street of Immortality print which I managed.
I would have loved to get Sam's to but I also wanted to give other fans the chance to get photos and autos. I was already so lucky.
They signed for a loooong time. So long I thought our side wouldnt have a chance or only a few people would. Turns out fans were conducting mini interviews with them lol Someone needs to collect all the questions and answers.
Also they are the smallest cast you've ever seem. Pocketbsized. Everyone one of them is so unassuming.
Overall I had a super good time. The audience vibes were immaculate. The person beside me during the screening/panel was losing their shit then apologizing. But honestly I was here for it lol
Also you could 100% tell it was an audience full of the online fandom.
I ended the night checking out the Time Square ad. It was awesome to see our vamps represented. Hopefully we get a ton of new fans from all the amazing marketing this year.

Alicent and her "liberation"
I wholeheartedly believe that to tell a feminist story, you have to at least tell a story that make sense, this is unfortunately not what Ryan Condal and his team did with Alicent Hightower, in season two of HOTD.
I kept defending them and their choices, until that last scene of season two, and although it breaks my heart that Alicent âsacrificedâ Aegon, I have to admit that the things she said around it bother me a bit more.
Before anything, I want to point out that the patriarchy is not some fable, some story that they tell women to make them be submissive; itâs a setting that affects the lives of every living woman in the world (both the real world and asoif). It restricts the freedom of women, and put their very lives at stakes all the time. It manifests itself everywhere, so much that itâs easy to make people believe that âItâs just the order of thingsâ. Sure, women can try to fight against these rules, like Rhaenyra (to a certain extent) who did not care about the prejudice against women and their sexuality, and vied for the throne despite having bastards. Or like Rhaenys, Visenya and Alyssane who despite all of their faults, did try to make the lives of women in the seven kingdoms better.
Alicent did believe that men were more fit to rule, while she thought that women were supposed to âguide them gentlyâ. Although she believed that Rhaenyra should sit the Iron Throne, and she also tried to be named regent, so itâs inconsistent, but I digress. However, I donât blame her for that. Alicent did not make these rules; these rules existed long before she was born, and thatâs what she has been taught since she was a child. Alicent suffered a lot from them. In fact all her life, all she did was trying to make a better life for herself and her children under these rules. For the entire season one, Alicent was shown as the person who suffered more from gendered oppression in the show. Her reasoning for taking the throne was valid her actions were understandable and motivated by self preservation. If they Rhaenyra took it, she would need to kill all of Alicentâs children.
Somehow, season two episode height, had her apologizing for all the actions she made out of self-preservation. And you can smell that some 21st century writer was the mind behind her reasoning, but Iâll say more on that later.
Multiple people in charge of the show, talked about Alicent needing to be humbled. Why does she need to be humbled and apologize for her sins? While a man like Viserys, who cut his wife to take a child out of her and raped Alicent is glorified. They had her recite all the misogynistic criticism the general audience had against her, and apologize for it.
Alicent tried to be the perfect friend for Rhaenyra, more than she should have. For some reason people still find ways to blame her. She was groomed since she was 14 by Viserys and Otto; she is blamed for that, as if she had any agency in the situation.
Alicent should betray her family, disobey her father to protect Rhaenyra, do the opposite of what she was told since she was a child. And it would still not mean anything because neither her, nor Rhaenyra have power in the situation.
She was raped by Viserys as a 15/16 years old girl, again it must be her fault as a 15 years old girl, and she manipulated poor old Viserys who had no idea that he was grooming a young girl. And they always use the argument that it was fine at the time. The discourse around it resembles the discourse around Lolita when it was first published more than 50 years ago, and people still havenât moved from blaming young girls for the actions of the men around them.
If they have a little bit of conscience, they will tell you that they feel bad for Alicent when she was a child, but not for the adult she became. But the adult is the direct result of the abuse that she suffered when she was a child. And again she fears that her children could be killed, a valid fear. Why would I blame her for doing what she could to save her family? Apparently Ryan Condal and Sara Heiss, think that she should apologize for that. âI lost my way; or rather it was taken away from me.â Implies that she realizes that getting married and having babies was never what she wanted, but something that was forced on her. But in the same scene (just like in the entire season), she praises Viserys even thought he was the main person who took her agency away from her. And I understand that victims can cope by idealizing their abusers, but viserys did not abuse only her, he abused her and her children, and clearly didnât value her sacrifices. I think it came to that point where she didnât even need a âliberation arcâ to realize that, yet she still praises him.
Letâs talk about her plans to run away. This is where the writing started to feel the most like a 21st century pseudo-feminist was in charge of this writing and was more attached to the idea of Alicent being free, instead of real freedom. Alicent planned to runaway with her daughter and her granddaughter to âbreathe the open air, and finally be freeâ, but she doesnât plan any money? Itâs as if they were trying to make her sound dumb because Aegon and Larys were also planning to runaway but somehow they knew they had money somewhere. But Alicent? Nothing. Iâm actually not nitpicking. The patriarchy actively refuses to grant women power or money, so that they could stay bound to the men around them, to their family. And she doesnât have any skill to survive when she âwanders in the wildernessâ she was raised a highborn lady in a castle life in the wilderness, without any family to protect her would kill her and her autistic daughter and granddaughter. Women usually stay in abusive environments not only because they were brainwashed, but also because they feared that the world outside might be less kinder to them. It takes a minimum of logic to understand that the patriarchy canât be kinder to a lowborn unknown woman than Alicent who sat in the royal small council, where only her and Rhaenyra sat as women in the seven kingdoms. She is still top two, of the most privileged women in Westeros, running away would not make her situation better.
We have a a history of women actually running away from Westeros and not being free from the patriarchy. Saerra was sold to a brothel, Jorahâs wife was some manâs concubine and Daenerys, had all her money being stolen and was sold as a child bride to Khal Drogo.
There is not a single way to make that scene work, itâs not feminist, as it realizes nothing but making one of the most intelligent characters appear very dumb. And Iâd rather have Alicent be misogynistic and intelligent than having her be liberated and dumb. Women in real life can be misogynistic and perpetuate the system that made them suffer because that the only way they can survive. But also how can I blame her for her own oppression, how can I ask her to apologize for her actions as a victim.

ii s3 liveblog
I'm a bit sad rn so sorry if my reactions are bad this time
1 - I'm not supposed to relate to Balloon am I. y'know. the guy that did something bad in the recent past and now everyone hates them even though they're trying to change.. sigh. wHAT? h. how is he here?? HOW IS SHE HERE??? ...does MePhone look different from how he was in the first half of s2? it's been a bit since I watched that but I swear there's something different about him. oh, new intrthe island is alive. warp pipe.
2 - yup sure :) đ right okay BOW is glitching now. something to do with chairs and maybe she lost her memories? she was obsessed with chairs before she died, so..oh fuck I'm taking as many notes as Cabby huh
3 - oh I thought I had something to say about this one. sorry
4 - if the floor gets eliminated, how will that work? .yo WHAT is going on with candleMUMBO JUMBO CATCHPHRASE ... I. I don't think that's what polishing a screen does.?
5 - what if Box wins lol ..oh. wait there was no formal elimination, I guess that got replaced with Box being pulled this episode
6 - them ,,,,,they,both of them,, the cool(s) -> âŻ
7 - well call me a camera because [screenshots the auras file]. . . . . . . . . . a. ..nobody knows about this joke yet but if I had a- uh. nickel. for every time a series I know about had a character named Bow with trigger words, I would have two nickels. which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice what is going on with Bow and chairs. HEY MARSHMALLOW TOO?? yes I will keep doing this strikethrough bit
8 - oh fuck I just realized. "iii" as in Inanimate Insanity Invitational but also as in 3 (roman numeral) because it's season 3. also just based on the title I have a bad feeling about this episode (<-half-right??) wait WHAT. MePhone what the fuck does that rnean. whhaaAAAA- oh. agdjhk s ghdclod damn it the commercial is pLOT RELEVANT. hhhhey quick question. how uh. how do we know that everyone's back in the right body..? like. there were some characters who weren't onscreen after they all died again. uhh
9 - th. this episode is probably not like. actually worse than the other ones or anything. but, with the bias I had already formed because I distrust people with the name of the one this episode is a collab with, some stress I was already feeling today before even starting this liveblog, something Balloon said at around 9:14, said pre-liveblog stress making me associate the whole "animation machine" thing (which is seen as bad) with something I like but everyone else hates, I personally have nothing good to say about it.
10 - why is Cabby gold. oh it's whoever has the Immunity Cookie. wait did Cabby forget about TBD because her file was burned??
11 - bat? pokemon. the game you're thinking of is pokemon. wait did he say backstab HOW DOES HE KNOW CANDLE SAW BETRAYAL?? ..yeah I was wondering how that would work
12 - I knew it. I knew Cabby would forget stuff that isn't in a file! urghhh can they Please vote out silver spoon already. he's not gonna WIN, right?? sorry. but I don't like him.
13 - oh the intro reflected Bot's change in appearance. neat! nononoononoNONOONNO GAUhokay. listen I know it's probably not going to happen but I really want YinYang to win. and holy shit that "for the rest of your life" was foreshadowing.
14 - okay off to a start that makes me want to punch something. okay. okay. it's not a real ad. good. HUH HE GLITCHED holy shit, damn uzumaki lookin rooms what is this /positive(?) ⯠đ GRIAN INSTINCT (which. to be fair, mood). p u r p l e . PURPLE ACKNOWLEDGED. WHAT WAS THAT! ohhh what the hell. you fuck off this INSTANT you silver shitface. ohh I hate him. I hate him more than I hate Cobs. ..does Cabby not have parents? SPLRINGY IS FAKE. SPRINGY IS A ROBOT OR SOMETHING MADE BY COBS I'M CALLING IT NOW. please please please kill the spoon kill the spoon plEASE- ARRGHHH
15 - seeing as the next episode has Blueberry in the thumbnail and is called The Great Bluish Bake Off, I have a slight prediction on who will win the rejoin. wait what. yeah I'm gonna be honest I don't think it was murder. NO NONONOONO DON'T NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WAUGHHH,,,,,
16 - why....why am I finding Nickel so relatable. w h a t . now I've never had oatmeal raisin cookies, but I don't think they're the Number One Cause of global warming. I know it's a cartoon and awHAT THE HELL HE JUST DIED
(between 16 and 17) m. MePhone knows. MePhone knows what's going to happen when the season ends, doesn't he? that's why he doesn't want it to. that's why he's desperate. but the question remains, what does he know that the viewers don't?
17 - wait this episode is from 10 months ago. is- is the series not over? damn it! I prefer to binge watch stuff so I don't forget while waiting for new episodes. oh don't even fucking go there. 14:01 FUCK OFF.
(between 17 and 18) y'know I was trying to watch this to ESCAPE all the drama and discourse everyone hates me for. this just feels personal at this point. but hey, who cares about me, right? onto the next damn episode!
18 - there's another 4 under that 4. are they all 4s. ohhh noooo, what an inteeense moooooment. wow it's really fucking difficult to care right now.
19 - again final episode so I'll break this into sections. kinda
..,.Cabby..I think I understand a bit more about my own..situation because of Cabby. wait wait. "built" to? BUILT to?? HMMMMMM 4S is still here?? what ??? ? well at least the one that YinYang wanted to win won..!
and that's season 3 huh.
well. that was kinda filler? tbh?
and the message in episode 17 sucked- ..eh. hold on. I'm getting too angry over some discourse. I need a break from typing this.
okay after like half an hour I realized something. they were trying to win an award. I like AI art, but I don't think it should ever win any awards in competition with human art. the two are fundamentally different. I don't think there should be any competitions that have both, especially high prestige ones. that line at 14:0whatever was too far though.
my opinion is that human art and AI art are both art. but they're VERY different forms of art, and should probably be kept that way.
overall I liked the season. sure, YinYang didn't win and episodes 9 and 17 are...like that. but it's not that bad tbh.
probably gonna watch the rest of s2 tomorrow, but for now I just want to play minecraft.
#the fuck up won't shut up!#ii#ii invitational#inanimate insanity#there's a bit of a rant about#ai discourse#in here so I'll tag that.

I had to watch and then rewatch the first episode of Loki before posting my thoughts:
Loki has scared poor Casey for two season premieres in a row.
Mobius chasing Loki is both heartbreaking and hot. Loki pleading with Mobius "it's me !" ...*cries in Asgardian*
I KNEW Ravonna knew all this time she was a variant.
B-15 should be protected at all cost.
Sylvie, get the Filet of Fish Sandwich.
The dude in the war room asleep during all that ruckus cracked me up.
X-5 is a jerk. NOBODY is mean to Mobius on my watch.
I lost count of how many times Loki said Mobius's name in the first fifteen minutes.
D-90 apologized to Mobius...aww.
Kang said "You've made a difference in this war" also means Ravonna was around during the multiversal war ? Or something different ?
Loki RUNNING to Mobius in the War room.
Mobius getting freaked out about Loki time slipping. No personal space AT ALL.
O. B. Remembered Loki from the past while Mobius and Casey didn't. Ummm...that means something.
Owen Wilson and Tom Hiddleston are phenomenal together.
I still think there is something locked in Mobius's memory that will help them in the end...but I think extracting it may come at a high price. Mobius is the ONLY character we've seen, who has issues remembering things that happened to him since he got to the TVA. (can't remember OB or leaving the rings on Ravonna's coffee table). Why is it ?
The score of this show is so thrilling. Love it.

A Little Salt
Man I totally thought the "Katara only talks about her dead mom" meme/"joke"/complaint was finally withering away after it sprung back to life with ATLA being put on Netflix but holy shit I keep seeing people post it seemingly without irony.
You wanna know how many time Katara actually talks (i.e. excluding phrases like "My mother's necklace!") about Kya? Six times. Three in the first season (Once in the first episode when she mentions it to Aang. Once to Haru, Once to Jet) Twice in Book 2 (in the swamp where she SEES her mom, and once to Zuko in Crossroads) and then there's the Book 3 episode about her loss.
Damn. Six times over a 60-ish (depending on how you count the multi-parters) series. Average of ONCE every ten episodes, but really it's 3 in the first season, 2 in the second, 1 in the third. Wow yeah she really talks about her dead mom a lot. How dare this teenaged girl who saw her mom seconds before her death and then saw her mom's CORPSE bring up her mom 6 times over the course of in-universe MONTHS.
And not only that but she NEVER brings it up in a way to invalidate someone's loss. She brings it up as a commonality between her and Jet and Haru, she was forced to see the vision of her mom in the Swamp, and she says it to Zuko both times as an expression of anger she has with the Fire Nation.
Nevermind that Aang probably brings up the Monks as much or more often. But you don't see posts like
Sokka: [spits into a bush]
Aang: The Monks used to say that spitting into a bush is very spiritually harmful!
Because that's kinda stupid and frankly you know why Aang has that attachment, yeah? So why is Katara different? "Oh she was mean to Sokka that one time-" get OVER it. She's a 15 year old dealing with immense trauma who said something hurtful. Wow! Stop the presses and call the cops and send her to jail forever! Grow up.
I'm sorry, I don't like to rant like this but I am so tired of this stupid thing sticking around for so long.

Arousal Poisoning (Chapters 1 to 3)
Fandom: MCU Loki
Pairing: Soft Dark!Loki x Reader, or Soft Dark!Loki x Original Female Character, depending on reader interpretation.
Other Characters: Mobius, B-15
Rating: Explicit
Status: Completed
Summary: This takes place in season 1, episode 2 of the Loki series; before Pompeii. Mobius takes Loki and a team of hunters to a Nexus event on some inhospitable planet. Mobius and Loki are supposed to investigate the event before the branched timeline collapse, but a trap poisons Loki and a (female) Hunter, causing them to fall into their baser instincts⌠Or, in other words, a sex pollen, drug-induced, rough sex smut fest.
Warnings: Soft Dark!Loki, Smut, Sex Pollen, Drugged Sex, Rough Sex, Consensual Sex, Slight Fluff
âAlright, team,â B-15 announced as a time door closed behind the last hunter stepping through. âThis is one of the most inhospitable planets in this side of the galaxy, and the only thing here is this prison.â She pointed her thumb behind her where a formidable building lies. âThis is where they chuck the most hardened criminals and toss away the key. Now, everyone inside is dead â theyâre not supposed to be dead; thatâs the Nexus event â so be prepared to see some horrible shit. The next guard shift change is in a week, so we have plenty of time before the branch collapses. Weâre supposed to take readings and investigate the area; find out what the Variant took and why. Keep your eyes peeled and be careful of your surroundings. Letâs move.â
âHow thrilling!â Loki quipped as he walked beside Mobius.
âYeah, okay, calm down,â Mobius scolded, âdonât look so excited, youâre weirding everybody out.â
Loki huffed and jammed his hands into his pockets.
They entered the building and the first thing to grace their presence was a bloodbath.
One of the hunters whistled. âYeah⌠everyoneâs dead alright.â
A female Hunter made a soft sound of disgust at the back of her throat.
âNot used to the horrors of battle?â Loki mocked. âThought you TVA agents have seen it all.â
âDonât talk to me,â she deadpanned.
Lokiâs shit-eating grin turned into a pout.
âCome on, Loki, make yourself useful.â Mobius pulled Loki further into the prison. âWhat do you see?â
âDeath.â
âYeah, no shit, Sherlock. What else? What was your Variant looking for?â
âHow should I know?â
âLoki!â
âFine, fine, give me a minute.â
The female Hunter followed along. âThis doesnât make sense,â she said. âThe Loki Variant had been killing our people this entire time. They usually spared the people on the timeline. Why did they massacre everyone here?â
âWell, these are the worst of the worst, and I guarantee you the prison guards arenât any better. Maybe⌠altruism?â Mobius replied.
The Hunter snorted, âA Loki? Yeah, right.â
Loki gave the Hunter a side-eye.
âAnyway, weâre not here to figure out why they killed everyone,â Mobius explained, âweâre here to find out what they took, why they took it, and what they plan to do with it.â Turning, he said, âDid you sniff anything out yet, Loki?â
ââSniff anything out?ââ Loki spat. âWhat do you take me for? A dog? First I was a little pussy cat, and now I am a little lap dog?â
âNow, donât get so sensitiveââ
âI am not being sensitive, you are being rudeââ
The Hunter left them arguing amongst themselves to take readings elsewhere. Her readings began to ping the closer she got to one of the hallways. There was⌠something⌠sitting on a table with a piece of newspaper covering it. She gingerly pulled the newspaper away and let it fall to the floor.
âThe fuck?â she uttered. It looked like a huge flower bud the size of a basketball. The dark green sepals wrapping around the petals had golden veins running through them, veins that seemed to glow with a pulsing heartbeat. The very tippy top of the bud had some deep red petals peeking through. There was a sickly sweet fragrance emanating from the bud. Leaning closer, the Hunter could see a trickle of golden viscous liquid seeping from the top where the petals were. The bud twitched and the Hunter jumped back.
âHey⌠guys?â the Hunter called out. âYou should come check this outâŚâ
Loki looked in her direction and his eyes almost popped right out of his skull. He pointed at the bud and screamed, âStay away from that!â
