season 3 janeway hanging out with her kiddies more is a big fave era of the AU for meeeeeeeee <3 she's awkward at it but she's trying :')

Resolutions and Basics happen and it's the beginning of a shift for her in feeling like she actually wants to be a mother. It's a slow burn up through Coda which conveniently shares an anniversary with Threshold = their first birthday, seeing what she's missing (though the alien in Coda would probably try to frame it in her mind as being like "they're going to be fine without you" but she'd see it and be like "im missing these moments with them :(" and afterwords she'd finally make the decision to be more involved in their lives.

I've been compiling all my loose Zombiewood draft posts into one, and maybe I'll have to get that up this weekend. They are so weird??? My first watch on Double Life, I didn't really register HOW weird, but now I can't stop watching that season just for them. What is UP with them? They are here to put on a show for the audience and boy, did that deliver.

Zombiewood, my beloveds... I just think their "Don't tell anyone I don't hate you" -> /punches soulmate off a cliff as a joke and kills them both -> "You can move in with me as long as you don't try to hang out with me" -> "We are now parents to BigB and Ren's kid, who is a house" -> "You are now godfather to my kids" dynamic was unique and fun!! That is a VIBE... And they're exes?? Where else do I get two people like that... It's so neat how Martyn and Pearl both got dumped by their soulmates and they both approached the situation differently, Martyn trying to woo Cleo while Pearl just torments Scott and tries to live in his walls. I love divorce quartet. Sir/ma'am, this is a deathgame. Please get out of your ex's house.

1 million thoughts in my head about the "Martyn & Cleo were at each other's throats in Double Life, but he's also the Clocker godfather" timeline... So funny to me.

A bit late to the party (heh) on talking about my first blind playthrough of Ena:DB, and honestly surprised that no one really mentioned how the Purge and Extinction Events are just connected to each other. Like you're just wandering around and accidentally step into another liminal space...

Other than the entrance fee being a blood sample of sort (though WebSeries!Ena was considered an uninvited guest and DB!Ena was obligated to trade an arm or leg) on top of both reasons having some form of deception/shield, believe me the whiplash I got when I saw that hall was immense!

Then the Extinction hall shut and I couldn’t access it…Then I got to the Bad Ending…And what a first run that was :) Also me on my third run, jumping straight into the taxi (after accidentally collecting the head on the humanoid side without knowing it) to get screenshots and he says “Have fun at the Extinction Party! -Wait wrong event.”

...So many secrets packed into just Chapter 1, and I'm already dreading the second (most likely Crowd Door since that's next in line on the save file pics) :)
