my gosh thinking again about the winkman’s scene and how Lockwood is so used to scheming and talking his way out and feeling invincible and he just…he really doesn’t have a plan. like he is so so brave when it’s just him but the second Lucy is in danger he can’t hide it anymore, he is babbling, he is frantic, he is contradicting himself every which way, abandoning one scheme before it’s played out because he gambles with his own life every single day but when it’s hers…

@apalestar asked | A rare event occurred this evening. Only done when he thought everyone was asleep. The watch was his, and he thought himself alone. His fingers slipped beneath the edge of his underarmor. The garment lifted and pulled over his head. Discarded to the side to be replaced with a more comfortable ensemble for staying in camp.
The woman was feeling restless. A night where she was afraid that she would do something untoward. Ugh. She needed to go for a walk, to go kill a fuzzy little creature or something. Who knew. Something other than sit and stew or sleep and sleep walk. As she padded across the open field of their campsite, the woman yawned, hand over her mouth and partially obstructing her eyes, and when she lowers the silencing appendage, does she see a sight. Yup. That uh. That was what she was calling it.
No, she refuses to even allow her thoughts to wander where they want to wander as they did one other time before. No. No no. It's not happening. Until it is happening, and she is flustered.
Immediately does a bright red color find her cheeks. Annoyance, embarrassment, anger; all the emotions she could feel were felt in one big whirlwind. She felt like this was violating some sort of privacy. Her arms wrapped around her head, eyes glued to the ground as she walks past him, mumbling something of 'excuse me' as she walks towards the water, likely to go drown herself from embarrassment.

Ann's confidant wins the most sapphic confidant award in the game. Obviously there's rank 9 with Shiho saying "I love you" but there's also whatever the hell Ann has going on with Mika? Mika spends the entire confidant being rude and mean and underhanded, and Ann just goes "ugh she's amazing"
and in the end when you find out Mika has been sabotaging other people to get jobs this is Ann's response:
GIRL GET UP??? Beautiful girls make her weak asf. This is why Ann being supportive over Joker dating his assassin is in-character, she knows what it's like to fawn over a mean hottie

I love that everyone in TMA is just. Unremarkable. Jon isnt a heroic character; he's self-loathing and depressed and he exhibits the same self-pity as I do when I'm self-loathing and depressed. He doesn't stand out for his strength of will or quick-thinking or virtue. He's a good person but he stops trying to stay human when it gets uncomfortable. He's everything that a regular person is when theyre trapped in a horrible situation and it's ugly and insufferable and Real.

I think what I want to get into with the "Anyone can do harm." thing that I keep beating yall over the head with is that literally anyone, anyone at all can do harm it's not "in your DNA" to be an abuser or written in the stars that you'll be a predator.
Whatever image you have of an abuser in your head, drop it and replace it with your favorite person in the world and you'll probably be closer to the truth than you realize.
It's easy to address harm when it's coming from someone you already hate.
I see it happen all the time. Someone you couldn't stand for no real reason does something heinous then all of a sudden here comes the avalanche of "I always knew they were a fucked up individual."
No, you didn't.
There is no possible way you could have known, you just already didn't fuck with them before they started doing something you could use to justify your hatred of them. I'm guilty of it too! I'm petty, mean, vindictive, and yes! I'm way quicker to believe something bad about someone I hate versus someone I love because I'm human. Still, y all gotta learn to move past that initial "Well, they were always nice to me!" gut feeling and understand that nobody truly knows anyone and anyone can be capable of anything. Even victims. Even you.

@jamjoob ‘s harley for another trade 🤭
[id: It’s a drawing of Harley Quinn where she is depicted as a Black woman with pale skin and locs which are tied into pigtails. She wears a black sports bra, a mesh top, pink-purple jeans, a large belt, a pair of orange-lensed goggles, and a jacket which is half pink, half black. In the drawing, she is holding a bat which reads “GOOD NIGHT” over her shoulders. /end id]

Can we have some more bilingual Damian Wayne moments please?
They did it a little in older comics with him speaking in his own language as well as Cantonese in one comic panel I can remember. Besides those two and English I don’t know what other languages he speaks, but at minimum it’s three, though I feel like the league would’ve probably trained him in more.
Still I haven’t seen it as often and it makes me sad, because as a bilingual person with many bilingual friends the fuck ups are usually hilarious.
Like with Damian especially I feel like he would overcorrect cause the English language has so many exceptions to it’s very loosely defined gramma rules and he’s such a perfectionist that he would stick to that shit even after finding out it’s wrong, I also think it would drive him a little bit insane cause it’s technically right, but it also isn’t (not speaking from experience at all).
Also while we’re at it let’s just throw the rest of the Batfam in there cause I’m pretty sure they all speak at least one other language. I want a comic panel like the scene in Umbrella Academy where Diego and Ben start arguing in Spanish and Korean respectively except it’s eight kids all screaming (or signing) at each other in several languages some of which aren’t even human.
