Notice how the Grim bots look and fight very very similar to the OG characters.

Notice how The Grim is empty and lifeless

Notice how it seems almost as if it hasn't started forming yet

Remember The Grim being dubbed as a clean slate by Nine

Remember how he chose this place to be his world, his paradise, his home.

Notice that it belongs to him now to create it as he wants.

Remember that Grim has no one and has no counterparts or landmarks of the OG world

Remember how Ghost Hill blew up, destroyed from existence when Nine began to use the unstable prism to recreate The Grim.

Remember how the ghosts of Sonic's and Shadow's friends were also wiped from existence and floated away, the essence gone into the energy sucked away by the prism

Remember how much the Grim bots look and act like the OGs

Since the world of the Grim was claimed by Nine to create as he wants before it fully formed, and he created those bots to be his friends, the Grim Bots are the variants of this Shatterspace.

because that makes no fucking sense

ghost hill makes sense, its unfinished because sonic contains the energy it would have used to form

but the grim has no excuse for being a lifeless mess

so what if everyone in that world just lived underground in crystal caves?

and when shadow falls down the ravine at the start of season 3, he runs into them and starts a rebellion against nine.

anyways might make designs for this eventually, i just thought it was a fun idea.

I REALLY REALLY hope we see this form of Sonic come back and more refined.

I mean Nine didn't really know if it would work and he did it super quick so I don't think it'd be too far to assume that this isn't the most sonic can do with " shard " energy.

PLUS it wasn't all the shards they were missing one.

His design is something else because it just feels incomplete like as if not all of his body had the same amount of shard energy

Tbh it reminds me of the cyber-coruption from Frontiers as it covers parts of his body instead of covering it all

New screenshots from 'Avoid the Void', the next and latest episode in the second installment of Sonic Prime.

So... finished Sonic Prime. Definitely a cartoon. At least that is one way to put it. The story could have been so much better, but the action and animation is top notch. As some people may have put, feels like one season split into three parts. Overall, it's fun and enjoyable but definitely could have used some work.

I don't know if it says something about me or the show that I don't feel like it said all that much or did all that much. Sure, it has a plot and overarching story, but a summary or synopsis feels like something almost unneeded, I guess? I don't know.

It's pretty standard Sonic overall. The Shatterverse is an interesting addition, with the whole idea of there being many versions of his friends but only one Sonic. I do wonder what the logic of the Chaos Council is. Is it something like since Eggman was the next closest to the origin of the shattering of the Paradox Prism that it made the alternates but only in one universe? I think I get the idea behind most of the Shatterverse and do like some of the ideas but wish there could have been a bit more done.

I think overall, I'm pretty neutral to Sonic Prime. Maybe I'm also somewhat disappointed in the show. It's like I said earlier, it's definitely a cartoon. It's not gonna be like the comics, IDW or Archie. It's not gonna be like the Sonic Boom cartoon. It's not gonna be like the games. It's Sonic Prime, to both it's benefit and detriment, I guess.

I might edit this with more thoughts later, or self reblog for an addition? I don't know.

Do you think if the Shatterverse variants ever see Sonic again, they'll be slightly more protective of him? Like hovering around him almost constantly and assuring his safety without telling him and not letting him hit the ground if he falls etc.

The last time they saw him, he was weak and faded and dying. Never again.
