The Thunderbolts Take on The Thunderbolts in "Thunderbolts: Doomstrike"

Marvel Comics has announced another One World Under Doom tie-in comic. Thunderbolts: Doomstrike, from writers Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing and artist Tommaso Bianchi, will pit the current Thunderbolts against the original team.

Bucky Barnes and his black-ops team accidentally aided in Doctor Doom's power grab, allowing Doom to take over the world. Bucky and his team - Black Widow, Songbird, U.S. Agent, Sharon Carter, and more - now plan to tear down Doom's Empire. In response, Doom recruits his own team of Thunderbolts, or rather, the original team, including Moonstone, Atlas, Fixer, and others. And the original Thunderbolts are not to happy with Bucky's team using their name.

Thunderbolts: Doomstrike #1 (of 5), featuring a cover by Leinil Francis Yu, goes on sale on February 19, 2025.

EXT. THE FORTY FOOT/ INT. SEA. SANDYCOVE. IRELAND - DAY - PAST DAY 0 - CHRISTMAS DAY - 1998 - 14:45

It’s Christmas day, 1998. Crowds of swimmers of all ages and sizes but mainly men walking down to the water’s edge or returning cold and wet from their dip. We hear spots of music from transistor radios, Christmas songs maybe. A group of wild looking young women and girls, aged between 24 and 9, run down through the crowd, screaming with the cold and laughing. These are Garvey sisters. EVA, the eldest in a black swimsuit, followed by URSULA in a striped bikini and swimming hat, BRIDGET (KNOWN AS BIBI) in a t-shirt and knickers and then GRACE in red and blue speedo swimmers and goggles on her head. At the back is BECKA, aged 5, all wellies and oversized knits. There is a chaos to them.
