severely disabled trans person needs help preventing their electricity from being disconnected

hello there, i am a severely disabled trans person who is currently developing crohn's disease who also deals with arthritis, schizophrenia, and hypermobile ehlers danlos syndrome. i have been very sick for the past 6 months, dealing with unhealthy rapid weight loss, nausea, vomiting, diahrrea, constipation, dehydration, exhaustion, brain fog, and malnutrition. i have barely been making any money lately because of how sick i've been, so i have fallen behind on electric bill payments due to having to prioritize rent.

i am too sick to get a conventional job at this time, i currently make my living with my online shop where i sell handmade jewelry, accessories, zines, and paintings. i also offer traditional illustrations on card stock, and custom jewelry and keychains! :) you are more than welcome to ask about requests for custom jewelry and keychains and i will see if i'm able to fulfill your request! i also have a gofundme for saving up for my rent & bills

im desperate

on July 4th i returned home from a small family vacation and caught something on the plane that triggered a bad crohns disease flare. i went to the ER twice in excruciating pain and each time they sent me home telling me it was just a stomach bug

on July 17 i finally got my remicade infusion 2 weeks late, and on July 19 i had a gastroscopy. on July 24 i had a CT scan

i still havent heard about the results from either, and my specialist hasnt returned any of my calls asking for a letter so i can go on medical leave

my workplace similarly has NOT responded to my request for a Record of Employment, which keeps me from going on EI

i have not been able to work since July 4th and have had zero money coming in because i cant apply for EI without any of the paperwork ive been asking repeatedly for. after barely managing to pay rent, im solidly at -5 dollars

this entire ordeal has been awful. i feel like im being failed at every opportunity by medical professionals and my workplace and i dont know what to do. i can barely eat, drink, or walk without pain, and while im slowly recovering, i still dont know when i'll be able to return to work

so im asking here for help. for anything to help get me food i can actually keep down while i recover

Hey everyone, I hate to have to do this, but if I was ever going to then now's the time.

We're an immunocompromised disabled system who's been working hard to never get covid, but finally did because our father and the rest of our family doesn't treat our disabilities seriously.

My father and brother both regularly go outside unmasked, and refuse to listen to reason when I tell them they should at least mask for ME, brushing me off like I'm a hysterical girl.

It's looking like I won't be able to live with this family anymore, let alone in America, especially considering two pandemics are about to be going on with our government getting worse and worse about literally everything.

I have plans to move to Germany soon, but probably need some extra financial support for that. Anything you can give helps.

adachi leaps to his feet, splashing his can of beer and surprising saeko. "got it!"

adachi snaps his fingers with a triumphant smile. "you changed how you part your hair!"

"huh?" nanba reaches toward the back of his own head. "nope, it's still the same..." adachi sheds a single tear.

hand raised high, saeko announces "right! your prescription changed!" ichiban taps a canned coffee on his palm in an "i get it!" motion. "what, are you trying to be funny now!? and that's wrong, too!" nanba retorts.

"okay!" han looks serious. "you changed the frames on your glasses!"

"you started wearing contacts instead of glasses!" zhao finger-guns with a grin.

"will you quit it with the glasses thing!?" nanba snaps at an unfazed, juicebox-sipping han. "and does it look like i'm wearing contacts!?" he gestures at himself. zhao smugly bites an onigiri, still squatting on the ground.

adachi frowns around a pocky. "huh? then what's changed?"

"never mind... sheesh." nanba turns his back on the group.

a view of the vending machine and soccer field across the way. "i just thought maybe i'd grown a bit cheerier since i met you guys."

"that's all." nanba doesn't see the party staring in shocked silence.

saeko, han, and zhao exchange fond looks.

nanba chugs his tea as ichiban approaches.

ichiban bumps his drink hand against nanba's.

"well, we already knew that, man." ichiban grins so wide his eyes shut.

"yeah, you smile a lot more than you did before, nan-chan." saeko concurs, offering him her chip bag.

nanba looks up, eyes wide. "ichiban... you guys..."

a hand lands on nanba's shoulder.

arm slung over his friend's back, ichiban cheerfully assures "and i noticed that you got some new lenses on your glasses, too." nanba's face falls.

the party loses it. saeko collapses on adachi, both doubled over in laughter, zhao cackles as his glasses fall off, and han clutches his head in despair.

"i didn't change anything about my glasses!" nanba roars. on the ground, a plastic bag of leftover snacks reads "#56 nanba's transformation".

Incorrect, the fact that Biden has dropped out and a candidate with history of supporting medicare for all and being more receptive to a ceasefire in the I/P conflict has made me go from "I cannot morally support the Democratic nominee" to "I am voting for the Democratic nominee despite the fact she isn't perfect in every respect." I'm really happy this played out. The Dems for the most part abandoned the old Obama platform and it feels like its possible an actual progressive agenda could come to pass in my lifetime.
