hi! i’m orpheus. am i a minor? am i a major? what are you, the cops? my pronouns are he/they and this is technically a sideblog to a cringy blog i made back in lockdown, but i’d rather pretend it doesn’t exist.

i’m emo, as the blog’s name suggests and i’m really into mcr, a bit into p!atd (recovering brendon urie fan) and trying to get into fall out boy but do not know where to start. also, i do not listen to paramore all that often but the songs i have listened to are iconic!! (yes this also means i watch and adore dan and phil in the year of our lord 2024)

i also listen to a lot of 80s goth (echo and the bunnymen, the cure, siouxie, etc.) but i was not alive in the 80s so am probably missing out on some bangers.

i’m currently a bit obsessed with the rocky horror (picture) show and i have always been obsessed with greek mythology, as my name suggests. also obsessed with buffy the vampire slayer (spike, willow and oz make me go a wee bit feral) (<- he’s lying spike makes him go insane). i’m trying to learn guitar to pay respect to my bardic namesake but am horrific at it.

probably neurodivergent but who’s got time for a diagnosis, right?!?

i unfortunately suffer from just-skirting-by disease (depression, anxiety, and possible autism rolled together) so i go through bouts of not knowing the state of my blogs. i don't necessarily want to delete them since it's already a moot point on my digital footprint—they can easily dig up stuff that's "deleted" if they really wanted to. it's more the............hopelessness isn't the right word but i'll use it.

i have been feeling down in the dumps for a few months now. the state of everything right now definitely didn't help but i have a very tight attachment to this part of my life. i was in a bad place and when i was finally escaping in 2019 i made an account (not this one, a long since deleted one) where i was able to let everything free. it's how i met my partner and was able to find others that helped me realize that i'm not weird—i feel safe in the online space.

sorry for the ramble but it's more my brain taking its sweet time getting through the trauma of the past week. i do urge you though to dm me privately even though you aren't a moot. i'm always up to making friends to talk about all things, not just kink centric

this is fucking pathetic i see ONE instagram post and i spiral and when i ask my mother for validation and idk, COMFORT?! she's just telling me that i can practice over the summer and improve and thats WAY more than what ill need to do and just reinforcing the idea that im not good enough AS IT IS and its not realistic to be a fucking tryhard over the summer for something i will NEVER succeed at and im crying and snapping at everyone and my sister heard one snappy word and started yelling at me too and like cut me some fucking slack im never gonna be able to complain about this outside my home bc if i did complain it would be fucking selfish (and ACTUALLY selfish im not lying) and if i dont get in again i KNOW that its gonna fucking break me and i feel like a worthless idiot and im not good enough for this thing and im never gonna get in so whats even the point of trying again when itll just destroy me
