maybe an unpopular opinion but i think “how to draw” books aren’t that bad, as long as you have the right approach to them.

your art style is always gonna change probably forever. you’re gonna see new art and go “oooh i like that” and try to add it to your style, or lead you to having an additional art style that you can use for specific projects.

if you open a how to draw book looking to add onto your style, they can be incredibly helpful in helping you adopt new features, bc they show a step by step process for each part.

anyways i was just thinking about this recently bc i’m trying to develop a second art style based loosely on another artists work and would really like a guide on this lmao
