Any of y'all have shifts that just, never go away? My phantom ears and tail never go away, unless I'm having a shift for one of my other theriotypes since they usually don't blend together. Them phantom ears and tail be going HARD all the time. Paws are also a near constant.

Nonhuman expressions of happiness are great btw. Wagging your leg back and forth if you’re a canine therian. Clapping your hands on your leg or stomach if you’re a seal therian. Flapping your hands if you’re an avian therian. Running around if you’re a fox therian. Purring if you’re a cat therian. Barking if you’re a dog therian. And all of the other expressions of happiness of your kintypes.

Today I was swimming with my monofin in the harbour and as I was swimming I passed close to a couple I didnt think was going my way and I popped my head up to apologize and I gave them a startle as they apparently believed I was a seal!

I guess it makes some sense, dark fin, dark suit, dark hair and only briefly would I lift any more of my face to breathe before it was back in for another 15 seconds or so in the murky water. And really just my fin and bum would generally breach the surface as I swam and it is a motion that, while very natural to a cetacean, would be completely foreign to how a human swims. Or I guess in this case close enough to a pinniped for people who dont really know how one swims.

i went to an oddities expo the other day to look at all the weird stuff they had. there was a lot of taxidermy and with that a TON of tails. i ended up buying a couple tails just because I'm big on taxidermy and whatnot, didn't really think about using it as gear. turns out this is some serious species-affirming stuff. the species euphoria from wearing a tail is UNREAL. did not expect it. 10/10 would recommend investing in a tail if that's your thing.

bonus points because they're really good quality and I got to talk to the sellers about where they sourced their tails

Yeah yeah yeah ribbon seal mood boardddd. I haven't seen a lot of seal things, let alone ribbon seals, so here you go. Ribbon seals primarily live in the Bering sea (between Russia and Alaska). Males tend to be dark with white stripes, where as females tend to be silver or light brown with white stripes.

I want to do more silly species and less recognised ones for all my therian friends who have a hard time finding content for themselves. What animals would you like to see me make a moodboard of?
